A/N : Happy birthday my friend ! Congratulations on being today years old, as my (late late late late LATE! really sorry about that) gift for you I'll be writing this headcanon with every character from Mondstadt to Sumeru celebrating your birthday ! And fun fact, you were born on the same day as my old cat ! (his name was 'little steps' and he passed away four years ago because he was old but now I have two new troublemakers to destroy my sleep)

Warning(s) : some bombs from klee, a lot of cake but idk if that's even some kind of warning, mostly fluff, it's kind of Sagau if you squint a little.

MONDSTADT

The moment Jean was informed she got a multitude of knights just getting the entire city ready for a huge celebration, at this point, it's a national holiday. She patrols around to check if everything is in it's rightful place, if anyone dares to sabotage or disrupt such an occasion they will get beheaded. Amber and Eula follow after their senior, wishing you the best when they see you, since the beautiful Lawrence maiden understands how important this day is for you she'll perform a wonderful dance for you.

The church also prepared a wonderful original song for you, and it was all thanks to Barbara and Venti (who was also the one that announced your date of birth) even if it doesn't match their usual tunes they will gladly change their genre just for you to enjoy their singing. It's kind of hard to imagine priests singing black metal but they'll do their best in doing it for you.

Diluc pretended not to care but the Dawn Winery had also been cleaned and decorated to the brim. Everything on the menu is just foods you enjoy, all that you dislike is BANNED from this place, they take your approval seriously and I mean it. When you come in, he has everything ready and perhaps even a huge gift. Though much to his dismay, Kaeya will tease him for it (not like he didn't plan grandiose things just to see your smile). Speaking of teasing, he starts to poke a multitude of pickup lines at you.

There is music, there is presents and decoration..what else are we missing? Oh wait who's the clown for this party-

I'm kidding I'm kidding Lisa is the magician, I know that her stans are out there to get me rn. Besides, the lady has a friendly, albeit a little explosive, assistant named Klee...And Albedo because we need a sane being around these two chaos inducing people. Let's not forget Benny's Adventure team who crashed in halfway to celebrate alongside you. Bennett, Razor and Fischl ran like tornadoes to offer their own blessings, Rosaria pretended that she wasn't looking forward to give her own birthday wishes. But we can all see how happy your smile makes her the moment you thank her for coming.

Diluc: Oppenheimer Diona: Goes to Oppenheimer to seem tough and has to leave 30 minutes in because she got upset Eula: Says she is going to neither but joins Amber for Barbie Fischl: Says she is going to see a smaller, lesser known film but actually goes to Barbie. Cyno brings Aryan and Isaar to visit Cyrus. Coincidentally, Lisa also brings Razor to visit. What happens?

(Because I can't be the only one upset that Cyno and Razor didn't meet during last year's Windblume.)

Hahahahah I must say, sailor, I think I'm seeing a pattern here. It isn't the first time you include Razor at a meeting with Cyno lol.

But to answer your question: I believe it'd be a great meeting between them. The twins have a huge affection for Lisa so it isn't unexpected to see them excited to see her. If it comes to her bringing Razor to Sumeru, they'll be cautious about interacting with him but I believe they won't be judgmental with Razor. In fact, I think the twins will immediately like him, teach him some sumerian words, show him some of their culture, etc.

Cyno raised his sons well.

I think one of the big reasons Genshin NPCs are perceived as so much more interesting than Genshin playable characters is... they’re ALLOWED to grow and change in radical ways. 

Ruu has an arc about realizing he’s dead, about finding peace and bringing it to Kapatcir, and then finally moving on. Zhiqiong struggles with her mundanity, her mortality, recklessly pushing its body far beyond its limits in a bid to be remembered. Jeht is lively and curious and friendly and gets quickly attached to Benben, but also struggles with her father’s past and the place she belongs. Neko sits idylly on her island, waiting for the day Hibiki, who died hundreds of years ago, will return to her. Gendou Ringo has a great hidden quest about being a Fatui Spy but wanting to live a normal life as a shrine maiden, being helped by a begrudging Momoyo, and there’s also Katarina and the Company of Fatui, hell, Enjou. 

They’re allowed to have full, lengthy arcs and to radically change their life situations. Gendou Ringo defects from the Fatui and becomes a Shrine Maiden. Katarina and Zhiqiong vanish and may be dead. The Company’s fate is uncertain, but not optimistic. Rana goes off adventuring with a Vision and Arana. Enjou reveals himself as part of the Abyss Order, Ruu leaves the world... 

I think the reason why the NPCs tend to be more interesting is because they’re allowed to have complete arcs. They’re allowed to be ���retired’, to go off somewhere where the Traveller cannot follow. While the playables are all stuck in just... a limbo. Sometimes their development is tied to Archon Quests or Character quests, but only two out of the 64 playable characters (not counting the Traveller) get sequels to their character quests. And of those two, only Ei gets to make significant character development in her sequel. 

Amber, Kaeya, Diluc, Razor, Xinqiu, Lisa, Mona, Jean. They were some of the first characters to get Character Quests. Do they get sequels? Do they change radically and make life-altering decisions? No. Have we learned what Childe is doing, if he no longer remembers Scara to track him down? No. They’re all generally in the same places we left  them. With the same significant relationships. They appear in Events, and those Events can pair them up with characters we don’t usually meet for fun dynamics, or reveal previously unknown past info like Razor’s parents or Kaeya and Diluc’s letters. But the Rifthounds in Wolvendom don’t get followed up on, Kaeya and Diluc retain generally the same relationship. These things are interesting, but ultimately treated as skippable and will be summarized in the main quests. 

It’s not just that all the playable characters have to be considered ‘marketable’. They have to believably be in a place where the Traveller can ‘reach’ them, so they can still be rolled or show up in events. 

Take Dain and Scara, for example. Scara spent a long stint as an unplayable character. Dain still isn’t playable. Scara quickly won a lot of fans’ hearts, not just because he was allowed to act like something of a bastard, but before he became playable he showed up in four different regions for varying reasons. Then what’s the final thing Scara does before he officially becomes ‘playable’? Establish that he’s staying with Nahida now, allowing the Traveller a place to conveniently find him in future Archon Quests, and possibly a reason to show up in Sumeru-based temporary events. Likewise, Dain exclusively shows up for Archon Interludes, appearing and disappearing across the continent, being the one to seek out the Traveller, rather than allowing us to find him. Before becoming playable, both Scara and Dain are allowed to have their own quests, goals, and adventures separate from the Traveller, but upon being made playable Scara’s development is made to scale with the Traveller’s journey and progress. 

This is a little rambly and disorganized I expect, and I’m sure it’s not the only reason, but I think it’s a possible theory about why it’s like that. If the writers felt they were allowed to, say, have Thoma pack up and return to Mondstadt, that would be breaking the status quo, because he may not make it back for the next Irodori festival. If Razor decides it’s time to leave his Lupical and journey to track down the Abyss Order, that would be breaking the status quo, because now he can’t be there for Windblume. 

And boy do gacha games struggle with character development and the status quo.

Hc that Lisa takes care of every kid in Mondstadt and they see her as a parental figure (either as a mother or that one cool aunt)

She’s a total sweetheart and will treat everyone with utmost affection ♡

Whenever Fischl comes to the library, Lisa talks with her about the plot of the book she read, her impressions, her favorite characters, whether she liked it or not. She also recommends books that might be to her liking! Fischl is very grateful for this : she finds more comfort in going to the library and talking to Lisa more than staying in her own house.

We’re aware of the difficult relationship between Jean and Barbara; the youngest, to try and rekindle everything, will ask Lisa for suggestions on how to get closer to her, and the woman will merrily help her, disclosing tips and approaches. Lisa wants everyone to be happy, and she knows that helping Barbara will also help Jean; she hopes for the sisters’ reconciliation.

Razor is basically her son : not also does Lisa teach him how to use his vision, how to read and write, she also helps him understand how he feels and the world that surrounds him. She’s aware of how difficult it is for the boy, so she patiently takes things one step at a time.

Klee is the child everybody adores, the same way she adores everybody : Lisa can’t help but have a soft spot for her. This is actually canon : whenever Klee passes by her workshop, the woman always gives her some treats! Candies, I guess.

Collei, even though she now lives in Sumeru, has lived for a while in Mondstadt, long enough for the Knights to get attached to her. Lisa helped her with the basis of writing and reading; when Collei left, she kept practicing based on what she learned from Lisa (and of course help from Tighnari), and still writes her letters (canon!) ; Lisa grew very proud of Collei and her improvements, and always praises her for how far she has come.

When it comes to Noelle, Lisa can’t help but feel worried : with the way she overworks herself, she might end up hurting herself. Whenever the young girl passes by the library, Lisa always invites her to drink a cup of tea with her and have a break, saying that a true knight also knows when to pause working. (she’s also tried to use this sentence to persuade Jean, but she’s almost unwavering : Lisa admires the blonde haired woman’s diligence, but she really can’t bring herself to leave her closed up in her office all the time).

Amber is not a child anymore, but Lisa still sees her as one : she basically saw the girl grow up, until she joined the knights, still at a young age, and treated her as her little sister. Sometimes, from the windows of the library, Lisa notices Amber running around and taking care of her tasks as outrider and starts pondering about the old times, back when her junior had just joined and declared she was going to become the best outrider ever. « good job, little one».

She sees Sucrose in a similar way : not a child anymore, but not fully “adult” (?) either. Lisa is aware of her talent for alchemy and whenever she can, she will encourage the girl to keep pursuing this journey. Sucrose is very grateful for these compliments, but seen her social awkwardness, she never really knows how to respond to them if not by smiling and blushing. The woman still appreciates this reaction, and sometimes might just have some ingredients useful for alchemy delivered to Sucrose.

Everyone in Mondstadt knows of Bennett’s unfortunate curse, and most people try to stay away from him and his bad luck; luckily, he still has some people who stick around him, Lisa *of course* included : sometimes, she sees him all wounded up and can’t help but give him some sort of potion to alleviate the pain and help him recover faster; she also might try to research some sort of way to get rid of this curse, or at least understand the reason why it hit the poor boy.

genshin fandom, I desperately need someone to help me understand how exactly do visions work.

I've seen some theories on what qualities must one have to be granted a vision (or in simpler words: what similarities do people who got visions from the same archons have), so here's what I got so far:

Anemo vision is granted to people who either are carefree (like Venti, Sayu, Heizo) or seek freedom in some way (Xiao seeks freedom from his karma & never-ending battle with the remnants of evil gods, Kazuha from the burden of being the descendant of Kaedehara clan, Jean from her duties as acting grand master).

then there's Sucrose on whom we don't have much information, but my guess is that her form of "freedom" is her experiments which she can perform in her own individual way.

Pyro vision is given to people who have a burning passion for something (Xianling's passion for cooking, Bennett's for adventuring, Amber's for flights, Xinyan's for music and so on). I'd also like to notice that most of Pyro characters have a special connection with their parents/ancestors (Diluc with his dad, Hu Tao with her grandfather, Bennett with his "dads" in the guild, Klee with her mother Alice), which can also be a symbol of something old burning so something new can emerge from the ashes.

I am not entirely sure about this one, but Electro visions are given to people who are extraordinary (and not always in a good way). as we all know, after Makoto's death, Baal struggled to find her place in the world, so she locked herself inside her own mind to maintain eternity. she felt like she did not belong in this world, and this feeling seems to be common for electro vision bearers (Fischl is being rejected because of her vivid imagination, Beidou had to leave her village because people associated her with death, Razor doesn't belong in human world and was forced to leave his pack, Kuki is rejected by her family etc). then of course there are just people who are extraordinary in a good way (like Lisa, Sumeru academy's brightest student in 100 years, Yae Miko, who's both a writer & the Guuji of Narukami shrine, and let's not forget that Beidou took down a giant sea monster without having a vision).

Cryo vision is given to people who, like the Tsaritsa (according to Childe), are the soft souls who had to harden themselves. you can also say that cryo characters all had to go through a heartbreaking situation (Diona had to rescue her father during a storm, Kaeya had to fight the person closest to him, Eula had to leave her clan & join the Knights who were rather suspicious of her, Shenhe had to fight the monster to whom her father tried to sacrifice her, Ayaka lost her mother + we can assume that the vision hunt decree also made a number on her).

Geo vision is given to hardworking (Ninguang became a Quixing despite coming from a poor family, Albedo keeps on progressing in alchemy, Noelle works hard to become a knight, Yun Jin practices hard to be an opera singer) people with strong morals/loyal people (Ninguang has dedicated her life to defend Liyue, Gorou — to Watatsumi & it's army, Itto is very protective of his gang).

I don't really have a theory or even opinion of my own on this one, but I've heard people saying that Hydro vision is given to those who value "purity" or have pure intentions (like Barbara singing for people to feel better/dedicating herself to be a healer, Mona aiming to become an astrologist without ever making astrology a tool to make money, Childe working for the Fatui so his family can live happily, Kokomi fighting the war for people's rights, and, from what limited information we have, Nilou dancing to bring people together because she believes that art is something that is for everyone).

we can't say much about Dendro yet, but, considering the fact that Sumeru is the land of knowledge, I'd say that thirst for knowledge is the thing that dendro characters have in common (Baizhu is an outstanding pharmacist, and Tighnari's voice line pretty much sums his opinion on dumb people).

Working at your local bookshop came with a lot of perks. A quiet place for you to enjoy your time among the beautiful stacks of books, the fresh smell of ink, new covers to stare at as you help Lisa organize the shop, and of course seeing the mysterious alchemist that strolled through every now and then. 

Your day started off as normal, living above the shop you woke up and made your favorite tea, made breakfast, showered and changed. As you strolled down the stairs that lead to the store you held your cup of tea close, you always enjoyed your tea in the morning in the shop; customers never came in this early anyway. 

After opening the store quickly, you sat behind the desk and took in the atmosphere; sunrise bleeding through the windows painting the inside with colors thanks to the stain glass that decorated the outside of the store, the early morning noises of Mondstatd, birds chirping and starting their day, the sound of the old windmill turning next to the store. A good morning. 

After finishing up your tea, you quickly got to work dusting and cleaning up, it was little tasks like this that kept you occupied most days. As you finished your rounds you got back to the stool behind the counter and put on another pot of tea. 

A very familiar green head of hair came through the door as quietly as she could. “Good morning Y/n, has my order arrived yet?” 

Flashing a smile to Sucrose you grabbed a hefty stack of books. “Yep! Arrived from Sumeru last night.” Grabbing a slip of paper, you passed it to her with a pen. “Just sign here and pay the rest of the deposit and they are all yours.” After getting the rest of the mora and your pen back you pushed the stack her way. “Thank you for your patronage.” 

She offered a warm smile as she made her way out of the store. Then you were left to your solace again. Customers came and went throughout the day, Bennett came to see if you had the newest addition to the Teyvat travel guide, Fichl came in to see if there was any sales on her book yet; there was one and it was Bennett so he can read it to Razor. Even Diluc stopped by today to browse your collection of books. 

His turquoise eyes met yours and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. “I realized I had no reading material to go with me this time. Have you received any new arrivals?” 

Just as you were finishing your friendly chat with the wine tycoon a familiar face appeared in one of the windows looking at the display you had put out. It was nothing fancy, just a little display of Dragonspine. “Ah, it seems to be past my stay. Thank you for the book.” Diluc held back a smile, not very well, but with that he walked out of the store giving no regard to Albedo. 

Your heart started to flutter in your chest, he told you he would be in the mountains until the end of the month, but here he was. “Good afternoon Albedo, what brings you back to the city so soon?”

You made your way from behind the desk and walked next to him as he browsed your newest collection of books from Inazuma. “I know you recently went to Inazuma as Calx for the Irodori festival but we were able to purchase some of the books from the Yae Publishing house.” 

As the embarrassment flushed through his face you simply laughed touching the gentle petals. “Go have fun with Klee, and how about the two of you join me for dinner?” 

He hummed as he browsed the collection, he more than likely had seen the books already but you were happy to have books from Inazuma now that you could make trades there. “Oh speaking of Inazuma I got you something.” There went your heart again, fluttering away like a butterfly as you watched him reach out and put something behind your ear with a smile on his lips. Suddenly the feeling of flower petals brushed the apples of your cheeks. “It’s a sakura flower, I figured that this would be more sentimental.”

The two of you stared at each other in silence, both blushing and unmoving. That was until a little girl burst through the door with a wide grin. “Albedo, are you done flirting? You promised me that we would go fishing with Dodoco.”

Klee beamed at the idea. “Yay! Dinner with Y/n!!!” With that she took Albedos hand and dragged him out of the store.

“We will be back, hopefully with fish.” The smile never left his perfect face as he followed the young girl out. Dinner will be a fun time.

She will want to wait to have kids though, she’s at the height of her career after all, she can’t really split her attention between family and work evenly at the moment. The whole ‘having kids’ thing will be put on hold

And when the time comes, Jean…will not rest a second of her pregnancy

It takes a ton of convincing from you, Lisa and Kaeya in order to keep her within the walls of Mondstadt so she isn’t clearing hilichurl camps on her own

Jean is strong and she can be stubborn at times but she will be a fantastic role model for her kid(s)

She’ll teach them to be strong, respectful of others and put an emphasis on the importance of education! She has high expectations for her kid!! She isn’t pushy, just encouraging

Every night, you’ll all have dinner together at the kitchen table and talk about your day! And after dinner, you’ll all go walk around the city (if it isn’t raining or cold) to get some fresh air before everyone goes to sleep. She is a fan of routines so this is important family bonding time for her :)

Beidou:

She doesn’t really want to have a kid of her own, she has a very active lifestyle and being pregnant at sea doesn’t sound very appealing to her

But she does take in orphans to be crewmates on her ship! She’s often a great mother figure for those kids for however long they’re with her. That’s fulfilling enough for her! Just being a mother figure :)

She teaches these kids to be strong and encourage their curiosity! Being adventurous and curious about your surroundings is are great qualities to have!! It’s great for kids to have imagination too

So when they’re off at sea on an off day where there isn’t much to do, she’ll play ghosts or skeleton pirates with the kids! Hell, the other adults will probably join in too just cause it’s fun to play pretend :’)

Beidou will also tell the kids stories before they go to bed! She has hundreds of stories, some may a bit of drama added in for fun though ;)

She’s a very protective mom. If something happened to her kiddos she’d go nuts!

Lisa:

Lisa’s job doesn’t get too strenuous and she LOVES kids so she has no problem with having a kid of her own! Or two! Three is where she’ll draw the line lol

She’ll read the baby throughout her pregnancy, when the baby is born, when they’re a toddler, when they’re 13, she’ll always be happy to read to her kids

She has high expectations for her kids, like Jean does. Keep in mind, Lisa is one of the best students Sumeru University(?) has EVER had, so expect her to raise little geniuses

Her kids will come to work with her all the time when they’re not in school. They’ll sit and read with Lisa at her desk!! They’ll also be taught to put books away and how to take care of really old books

Her kids will have very advanced vocabularies too you’ll think you’re talking to an adult in a kids body lmao

Lisa would make such a good mom. Look at the way she’s mentored Razor!! :( <3

Ningguang:

A very nurturing mother for sure! She’d want one or two kids to love so muchhhh

She grew up with nothing so for her kid(s), she’ll be very affectionate and loving

When shes working, people may get the impression that she’s closed off since she doesn’t get very emotional at work. But behind closed doors, when she has her sweet bundle of joy in her arms, she’s all smiles

She’ll sing and sway side to side, happy to rock her baby to sleep. She’ll keep the crib right next to her bed too and let her baby hold her hand (well, technically her finger since the baby’s hand is so small) through the bars

She has tons of books and will want her kiddo to learn to read early on. Reading is one of the best things kids can do! And since Ningguang reads so much, having a kid who loves to read would be great!! She can share all of her favorite stories with her kid(s)!!

Every time her kid gets sick she does too. Why? Cause she insists on laying in their bed with them, giving them hugs and reading to them while they rest :’) such a nice mom

She doesn’t bring her kid(s) to work though. Doesn’t talk about them either, she separates family and work pretty strictly so others can’t use her kiddo(s) against her

Lisa

She likes to read before before bed, I suppose this is not much of a surprise but alas...

How could she not allow herself to be lost in the sweet confines of a book in the late night hour?

If she is not reading — the Purple Rose is experimenting with an array of different ingredients.

Crafting potions... she so eagerly wants others to try.

“Come now, these are just harmless concoctions. Nothing dangerous cutie. Nothing that a Calla Lilly won’t heal.”

Sometimes she’ll read Klee a book before her bedtime.

Reading with company like Klee is always a treat.

Lisa likes to “save energy”, with all the book keeping work she has to do during the day.

Hunting down those who have overdue books.. at night is so taxing.

She’s usually in bed early to be ready for the next day to come.

Sometimes she’ll have long talks with Jean about miscellaneous things that happen throughout their day.

It’s very relaxing and Lisa gives great advice.

Klee comes up a lot she just worries about those bombs..

Jean

She’s doesn’t really have a bed time routine.

She falls asleep at her desk instead of in a proper bed. It worries Lisa and Barbara.

What’s sleep? She’s always up late into the night doing paperwork “It’s exhausting just looking at the work pile” — Kaeya

Though, when Jean is able to finish up for the day without any issues, she likes to take the time to soak in a hot bath.

She stays inside for as long as she can.

It simply relaxes her muscles and relieves any tension the day might’ve given her.

Lisa joins her sometimes, seems that woman gives her peace of mind.

When she’s all tucked in at night she enjoys indulging in books akin to Lisa.

Reading tales of legendary heroes. Her favorite being the King of Khaenri’ah.

Honestly, she does not like sleeping. She has asked Lisa for a potion that keeps her awake.

But, when she finally does wish to sleep she has a hard time doing so and well...asks Lisa for aide.

Lisa reads her a bedtime story too or rather she tells her stories about the strong and admirable people she has met at Sumeru Arcademia. — This occurs during their long late night talks.

Kaeya

He wouldn’t be Kaeya if he didn’t have a glass of wine before bed.

He’s enjoys the company of Lisa from time to time they will share a glass.

Before going to bed and leaving for the night, he checks in on Klee.

He makes sure she’s alright but, that’s usually only after she has caused trouble for Jean that day.

Those pointers seem to go to waste. Pls don’t report him.

Kaeya likes to take his time before getting into bed.

He usually takes off his clothes and strips down to his bottoms. Or naked

Yes, he removes his eye patch but, only his reflection has seen what lies underneath.

Kaeya stargazes as he enjoys his nightly glass of sparkling wine.

Once he has had a few and they’ve warmed his insides, he’ll take a cool shower to regulate his body temperature.

It relaxes him more than a hot bath or shower would.

When he’s out falls asleep fairly quickly.

Diluc

He does not sleep much.

Given his nightly rounds keeping Monstadt safe from any posing threats, overseeing Monstadt’s wine industry and running the Dawn Winery...

Diluc escapes sleeps like Houdini.

Not that he wants to but he simply doesn’t have the time.

Like his voice line for relax is literally “Guess we can rest for a bit” like he didn’t have any plans on doing that before lmao poor Diluc.

He cares about the safety of Monstadt and her people.

Kaeya may be an ass at times but, he can tell that even he worries about his lack of sleep.

When he does have a moment to relax, he will play a round of chess with his butler while drinking grape juice.

He likes to drink that before bed instead of wine in difference to Kaeya.

Diluc often gazes at the collection of artwork he has around the manor.

It’s so intricately detailed, many thoughts and emotions were sewn into each of the piece by its maker. He notices it all.

He does all these things because he’s so used to being up for long periods of time that when it is finally time to rest his head. He’s up doing these idle things.

Diluc lies in bed for a long while before drifting off into a restless sleep, before he even realizes it — sometimes the sun rises and he needs to work yet again.

Klee

She’s never truly tired when her bedtime rolls around.

Always doing bomb experiments inside of her “room”

The guard that stands outside her door is genuinely scared they’ll get blown up...again.

Jean has to confiscate everything so she goes to bed on time.

Lisa will read to her for a while.

Her voice is so sweet and soothing it’ll easily put her to bed.

Klee keeps Dodoco close by when she’s tucked in.

She never sleeps without it, she also sleeps with a bomb right next to her.

It may not be a good idea to surprise her in the middle of the night.

For everyone’s safety lmao.

After a long day of treasure hunting with Bennett or being saved from a disaster by Razor. Klee will fall asleep quite easily.

Amber

She has a lot of energy even before bed.

So, to tire herself out she will go for a nightly run or jog in and around the city of Monstadt.

She will also glide around from time to time up by the church.

Feeling the night wind in her hair is a nice stress reliever.

She may not sleep right away, she wanders around the Knights HQ and often sees Lisa up reading if she isn’t sleeping.

She may also check in on Klee, she doesn’t really like her being inside that confinement cell.

If she isn’t doing that, she may go on a nightly hunt before bed too.

Just so she can cook up a good breakfast in the morning.

All that energy needs to go somewhere.

She’ll eat moon pie before bed, she knows it’s not good to eat and then go directly to sleep but... it just tastes so good!

Barbara

Outside her room everyone can hear her humming to herself.

The acoustics in the cathedral are top notch she sings there are night when it’s empty.

Bennett often walks in covered head to toe in scraps and bruises.

Nearly scares her half to death. She heals him of course.

In her pjs’s Barbara sits in front of her vanity, singing to herself as she brushes her hair.

She has a melody to go along as she counts each brush stroke.

She checks in on Jean to make sure she’s not working herself to death.

Some nights she helps Jean to a proper bed.

If she isn’t sleeping during the late night hour she may be performing at the Angel’s Share.

Diluc frowned the entire time.

Her performances tucker her out and she sleeps as soon as she sees her bed!

She’ll take a bath first though and sing there too. Barbara will never stop singing!

Fischl

When she’s alone out adventuring on a quest Fischl can relax a bit more.

She sits under the illuminated night sky with Oz, gazing up at the stars.

Dreaming of far off worlds with the company of Oz by her side.

She can break character in front of him.

She lets her hair out and takes off the eye patch when she’s not in front of people.

She brushes her fingers through her hair a few times to allow it to fall freely. Only to pick up one of her favorite novels.

Always manages to read herself to sleep until or until the sun rises.

She reads a lot of fantasy novels and of course makes sure to return them on time.

Fischl spends her time in the adventures guild usually until the late night hour.

It’s a bit hard to understand her word choice but everyone there tries to be nice about it.

It’s a good thing Oz is there to translate.

Fischl is one for walks through the city of Monstadt at night, well that’s when she usually returns from her adventures outside the city.

She’s tired then and will quickly fall fast asleep, she’s more of a day time bather than a night.

Diona

She spends her nights bartending.

If she’s not busy making delicious drinks...

She’s out in the wild searching for ingredients to make a concoction with a horrid taste.

All in efforts to bring down the wine industry in Monstadt.

She has her reasons but, she dares not to speak of them in front of anyone and especially with Diluc around. — Seems he has eyes and ears everywhere?

Diona is an excellent bartender in fact, she’s so good at her job that the people who frequent there are there for her!

Her nights consist of entertaining the guest at the Cats Tails whilst also making drinks.

It’s fairly tiresome but when the night is over she goes home.

Not to sleep no, but to try and come up with a drink that will utterly topple the wind industry.

If she comes to a standstill, Diona will go out and ask around about the things people would most hate to drink.

When she does sleep, she will crawl into the comforts of her own bed. Doing nothing but stretching to get comfortable as she moves to rest.

Which seems to occur when the sun begins to rise. She sleeps throughout the day so that she can focus on her job at night. — that is unless she’s asking around to feed into her plans. One may see her during the day!

Razor

Will always watch the moon and star lit skies before he falls asleep.

He does this while keeping watch.

He checks on his lupical throughout the night too.

Just to make sure they’re all sleeping easy and peacefully.

Will sit and eat meat casually letting his feet dangle by the cliff side.

He honestly doesn’t do much before falling asleep.

Razor think about a plethora of things though before it tires him out.

How he’s not a real wolf mainly — it saddens him.

In any case he enjoy going to bed with a full stomach.

If he’s feeling restless, he will go for a run as well.

All that excess energy disappears once it’s concluded.

After that he’s too tired to think about anything else other than sleep.

He smells like a wolf and won’t bathe too often — doesn’t see it as a necessity to being a wolf.

If he’s out at night and sees Lisa she will make sure he’s clean even if she has to shock him.

Bennett

He sleeps like a baby most times but as luck would have it...sometimes he doesn’t.

It’s mainly when he’s out adventuring.

When he finally drifts off into sleep — not that he does much to prepare for sleep to begin with other than getting comfortable.

Bennett keeps his fire going to stay warm.

It unfortunately attracts hilichurls.

He stays up late trying to defend himself and his treasure from them.

He lost everything once lmao.

When he isn’t out and about, he’s in the guild.

Staying up late taking care of his Dads.

Always makes sure they’re all alright before he even thinks about sleeping.

Bennett, after assuring their happiness and comfort would then rest.

He thinks about death but not in a fearful way albeit, it does cross his mind often at night but he tries not to dwell.

Sometimes his nights are spent being mended by Barbara — he falls asleep at the cathedral too if he’s too tired to move.

It all depends where his adventures have him end up!

Noelle

She cleans before bed, any surroundings that may be out of place Noelle will scrub, sweep and dust until it shines.

She’s often doing errands during the day or helping out with the Knights at HQ.

When night falls she’s fairly tired.

Albeit she does not show it, the hard work she does is quite the energy drain.

She barely lets herself rest often doing the “less dangerous” jobs assigned to her by Jean or Kaeya. All in efforts to keep her safe.

When night falls and she has done everything she could do for that day, Noelle will practice with her claymore crafted by Wagner.

She stays up late trying to refine her skills until she can’t swing anymore.

She may have super human strength but after a few rounds of practice she will get tired.

She likes to soak in a hot bath with geo salts. It’s relaxing and rejuvenating.

The healing properties aide in strengthening her body when she’s exerted herself from a longs day work.

Sucrose

Research.

It takes up her days and her nights.

Lisa is always so insightful to almost everything that she does.

It is very helpful but Sucrose seems to never know why.

She loves alchemy and will often fall asleep at her work station. With experiments bubbling over and materials by her head.

Albedo wakes her only to tell her to go rest somewhere properly — wait for a new day to begin again.

Sucrose uses this time to bathe as well but she won’t soak in a bath for very long she prefers hot showers they’re brisk and warm her up just the same.

She will read alchemy books before moving to rest for the night and sometimes she’ll fall asleep with them in her lap.

Scribbling down notes along the way, she often wakes up in the morning with books and paper scattered throughout her bed.

Mona

She is a night owl, very rarely will someone see her during the day unless she’s shopping for something to eat at Sara’s.

But even then she’ll go out and do that at night if it’s not too late.

She scrys, usually somewhere out in about in one of the forests of Monstadt.

Honestly it’s hard to fall asleep on an empty stomach so she reads the stars like a book until she’s too tired to do so anymore. In hopes of possibly making a breakthrough of some sort.

Astrology being the only thing that can put her to sleep when she’s feeling restless.

She will indulge herself in a few experiments as well, getting “important work” done so that she can further her magical prowess.

Mona can’t discern the origins of a few things in Monstadt — that often keeps her up as night.

She will read star maps while she’s soaking in a warm bath at night before bed.

They float above the water and she turns the wheel in the air with as she proceeds with divination.

Being surrounded by water in a warm bath and their reflective surfaces always helps her see clearly.

Venti

He does not sleep at a set time.

Be it night or day...

It is always random with him.

Not to say he does not get tired but..

Venti does things on his own time.

He stays up drinking through all hours of the night.

He will sit atop his statue within the heart of Monstadt.

Always with an expression on his face that reads that of melancholy and longing.

It is there he falls asleep and it’s not for very long.

He doesn’t do anything to prepare for sleep it simply has to catch him in the wind.

Venti will sing, of tales new and old.

He may even go to the cathedral to see Barbara — he has watched her preform at Angels Share.

He often tries to bum a drink off Diona but never gets very far.

If he’s not in the city he’s out by the large tree you can always find him under.

Writing poetry, songs and playing the lyre.

He will fall asleep doing these things.

It’s there he will sleep the longest and where the sunrise wakes him for the new day.

Werewolves, one of the most feared creatures in Teyvat

This was because of their transformation during the full moon, were they become more aggressive

Many cities closed their doors when the full moon appeared in order to protect their citizens from them

The Knights of Favonius were obviously occupied with every full moon, it was better to save everyone they could than no one

Who were you in this? One of the newest Knights of Favonius and Lisa's prentice, you also had a Pyro vision

You kinda hated werewolves, why? Because you were an orphan because of them, you actually live near Springvale and they were hunters, ironic, you though, because what they hunted ended up hunting them

Still you kinda hated them, they didn't wanted you to become nothing else than a hunter, one time Lisa admired your knowledge and offer you to go to Sumeru academy but your parents refused, you also always returned your books on time so Lisa gave you permission to take more books and a more time to have them, your parents often hid them or even destroy them so you could focus on becoming a hunter

They were also nasty to say the least, even Draff admired their dedication but hated they ideals and methods, sometimes hunting for fun, need or simply because they thought it might be a danger if you don't kill a creature now

But after their death you were free to do whatever you wanted, so you went to Sumeru academy and returned to Monstadt and learned things from Lisa and later, becoming the newest member of the Knights of Favonius

Kaeya commonly tried to flirt with you, you always say no, the succubus was disappointed but still tried to flirt with you

Jean and Lisa liked you a lot, you were like the secretary of the Knights, reminded them of certain events

Amber, our ‘favorite’ bunny girl, and Klee always were with you, because you were in their therms, the coolest little sister (because you were the youngest Knight)

For Sucrose, you were one of the Knights who understood her, and Albedo liked you a lot

So everyone liked you, and they knew not to mess with you, specially in battle

You were a calm boy/girl every other aspect with the exception of the battlefield, you were a monster in there, everyone who knew about you and were your enemies were afraid of you

It was a calm evening, you were having a cup of (tea or coffee) with your (favorite dessert) while reading a book, sure nothing out of the ordinary happened with the exception of the people and the Knights bring materials for the roadblock

They only had a weak before the full moon

"(Y/N)!" You turned around to see your teacher, Lisa in front of you "I knew you were here, I need to ask you something"

"What do you need Lisa?" You said taking a sip of your cup

"Well, you know that in one week is the full moon, but I'm a little thigh with my duties, can you deliver a package for me?"

You knew that her duties were going to get the books not returned, and there were many, so you would obviously accepted but not without the details

"For who and where?"

"A boy, he is a little taller than you, has silver hair, red eyes and has eye bags, he is dress up with some green pants, an orange shirt, and a hooded jacket of a dark brown color, in Wolvendom"

“I see, you know that a little risky, right?” You knew it, entering Wolvendom was like ventured into the wolf’s den, it was more dangerous this days

“Please (Y/N), I really need your help, plus, he probably will like you”

“Who is ‘he’”

“Oh, right, the name of the boy, the one who I need to deliver his things, is Razor”

“Razor? I feel sorry for the guy... his parents must really loved him”

Lisa’s eyes filled with sadness

“He is an orphan, like you, but he is a little bit special”

“Hmmmm?”

“Anyways, will you do it?”

“Yeah, sure, I don’t have anything to do, plus, I need some wolfhooks”

“Oh, while you are on that, can you bring me some?”

“Sure” you ended up your food and were about to pay but Lisa handed the money to pay the bill

“This time I pay” she blinked an eye to you “I hope you had fun in Wolvendom” you only gave her the book back and walked to the bridge of the city

“Iblis... come”

“I’m here, mister/mistress (Y/N)” a black cat with some amber like scars and fire eyes “I suppose we are going to Helldom”

“You really hate wolves and dogs despite not being a ‘cat’”

“Ha, ha, very funny mister/mistress” the familiar said and transformed intro a giant creature, like a puma but little bigger

“It won’t take long, promise” you said while you mounted the creature

The cat simply looked the path to Wolvendom

“Promise me you’ll give me fish”

“Of course”

The cat then jumped to the water and began to run in it

Once they arrived to the land of the wolves, the cat returned to a little lantern that you carried away

“Despite you aren’t a cat, you really act like one.... so quiet... scares me, now, where is this Razor?”

You began walking around the woods in order to find the boy

“Ah, it seems it’s going to rain” you said looking at the sky slowly turning gray while you holded your hat from blowing off

Just then, you sore you could see something in the bushes, probably a wolf, you knew that it wasn’t a good idea to fight him, because 1: you knew that a hurt wolf will make you the target of the whole pack and 2: you needed to bring the pack to 'Razor'

“Who is there?” Your only response where the bushes moving and then a boy appeared, green pants, orange shirt, dark brown hooded jacket, silver hair and red eyes with eye bags, yep this was the person Lisa asked you to deliver the package “Razor, right?” The only thing Lisa didn’t told you was that Razor was a werewolf, maybe that's why he was special

“Yes... you are?”

“(Y/N), (Y/N) (L/N)”

“You smell like... Lisa... you are Knight?”

Geese, this boy seriously need some classes of language, if he was at Sumeru, he probably be mocked by everyone

“Yes I'm a knight” you gave him the package “it’s from Lisa”

“Ah! Painkillers!” His ears twitched his ear in happiness “thanks, why Lisa not came?”

“She was busy with the librarian duties... you know, books not returned on time”

“Ah, yes, I know that” you began walking away “where you going?

“Im going for wolfhooks” Razor stopped you and gave you some that were stuck in his tail or hair, his tail was moving with excitement

“Thanks... but I actually need some more” you said coldly, you honestly felt uncomfortable and it wasn’t Razor’s fault, it was because you saw the death of your parents and you were kinda afraid of werewolves because of that

“Oh, I know a place where they grow” he said tooking your hand but before he could drag you there, Iblis came out and tried to scratch him and unfortunately, Razor released some electricity, causing an overloaded reaction

Razor ended up crushing in a tree and Iblis flied to the ground, you on the other hand, ended up in some bushes

“Argggg..... IBLIS!!!” At that moment the familiar ended up in the floor like he was in a lot of pain, Razor saw that

“Mister/mistress, I’m sorry...” the cat returned to the lantern while you cleaned your self

“Sigh, now what’s the worst that can happen now?” Then it rained

Razor then guided you to a cave, there was some dried wood, it could be used for a bonfire

While you prepared the bonfire, Razor went for something

“Thanks Iblis...”

“I’m sorry” he said while walking to the bonfire in order to light it up

You simply cover yourself with your arms trying to get warmer with no success until you feel something fluffy, like a wool or fur, being warped around you

"You seem cold"

"Yeah, maybe it doesn't have to be because we were out in the rain like for like fifteen minutes"

"Sorry, I got lost"

".... "

"Why are you cold?"

"Because I'm-"

"No, not that, cold to me"

"I don't like werewolves..."

"Why? Did they attacked you?"

"No, they killed my parents"

"They... They kill your lupical?"

"Lupical?"

"Family"

"Yep, they killed them, but I honestly owe them for that"

"You hated your Lupical?"

"Well, I loved them and that but they wanted me to become something I didn't want to become, so when they died I was free to do whatever I wanted" you said looking at the ceiling of the cave "by the way, did your painkillers survived the crush?"

He forgot that he had them with him when that crazy cat attacked him, unfortunately, the painkillers were destroyed by the impact

"Iblis"

"Yes, mister/mistress?"

"I won't give you fish or milk in a week" you turned around to see the werewolf "I'm sorry for this, I will make you some new painkillers in compensation"

"Thanks, but not worry for this, not necessary, only need them for transformation"

"It's very painful, right?" He nodded "I'm not a werewolf but I understand your pain, when I made a pact, he almost roasted me alive, it took me some time to get the burns away"

He looked confused, you two looked like you knew each other for so long

"Why he tried to roast you?" Said while looking at the feline creature

"Well, some familiars like to make you a test to see if you are worthy of them, that why he almost burned me alive" you giggle a little when you remember that day "but you suffer that pain every month, for how long are you a werewolf?"

"I... Not know.... I was like this all my life... Or at least from what I remember" he paused a little "I never accostumed to the pain"

You patted his head while giving him space besides you

"It seems that the rain won't stop sooner, we will have to collect the ingredients for the painkillers while it rains... Dang it..."

"You hate rain?"

"No, but I'm a Pyro user, my powers won't work during the rain if something attack us

"I have an electro vision, I can help you" Razor said excited while his tail moved with happiness "I protect you and you get the green things"

"Sound good for me, Iblis, you stay here and keep the fire alive"

"Understood..."

You left the blanket and gesture Razor to follow you, which he did

You must have been out there for a good while since you felt really cold and you didn't have all the things to make the painkillers

"We should return to cave"

"No, it's fine, we are almost finished" you said trembling from the cold

"You not look good"

"It's fine, let's just get the last thing"

Razor sighed internally and putted you his coat to at least make you a little more warmer

"We get it, we come back"

"Fine..."

You began searching the last herb while Razor guarded you, but he clearly was worried about you, you looked tired and he could sore that you were freezing

"Got it!"

You turned around to see Razor coming towards you and he grabbed you in a bridal style, you freaked out

"What are you doing!?"

"We are going back to cave, we will be faster this way" He said and began to run

You hugged Razor by the neck in fear you might accidentally slipped off his arms

When you arrived back at the cave, the feline creature almost had a heart attack

"Mister/mistress, take off your clothes!!! You can't be around with wet clothes, you might catch a cold!"

"I think I might already have... But I don't have spare clothes, and you know it!"

Then Razor gave you back his blanket

"Use for cover, I get us clothes while others dry"

"Thanks"

Once Razor was out of view, your familiar began to order you to take off your wet clothes which you did and you covered yourself with the blanket and wait for him to arrive with clothes

When he arrived, he looked at you while you stare at him uncomfortable

"Razor, I need privacy..."

"Oh" he turned around and faced the wall of the cave "I not look until you tell me to look"

"Thanks..."

In a day like this, you probably would be enjoying a hot chocolate while you were near the fire or taking a long and warm bath, it was rare for you to be outside in the rain, you weren't that accostumed to the rain

"Now you can turn around"

You both simply ate some meat he had in silence and after that you both went to sleep

The next morning, as you predicted, you had a fever

Razor was watching you while that fur ball that is your familiar went for ingredients for a chicken soup to make you feel better

"Razor, I'm cold"

"Cold? You burn!!!" It was part true, when you have fevers, your Pyro Vision is more a curse than a blessing, your temperature is more higher than the average temperature of a person with fever and touching you it was like touching a burning wood

"Can you bring me my bag? I think I have medicine in there"

He immediately bring you the bag, fortunately, all of you potions survived the explosion of yesterday

"bleh, I'll never accostumed to the taste of this things"

"What was in?"

"You probably don't want to know"

You looked outside, it wasn't raining anymore and it was a very calm morning

"Here, I made it" the silver haired boy gave you some hash browns but with the shape of a paw

"Thanks" you were kinda afraid to taste the hash browns because you didn't knew if he knew how to cook, but you decided to trust Razor with this

And to your surprise, the hash browns were good

"I didn't knew you knew how to cook Razor"

"Lisa show me"

"If you want, I can show you more things"

After Iblis came back with fowls for the soup and ate quietly, you began making the painkillers

Thankfully, you bring your portable alchemy kit, you never knew when you would really need it so you always carry it with you

Razor watched you grind some of the herbs you collect while you simply put a lizard tail in a cauldron, he really felt like he was going to barf at the awful smell and the things you put in the cauldron

"You really don't like the smell..."

"It smells horrible"

"I don't blame you, it might taste horrible and smells horrible but every medicine or potion taste horrible or smells like this"

Once you ended the potion, you closed the cauldron with an special lid and rest on one rock with Razor's blanket

"Let the mix rest for a while Razor, or it might turn you into a frog"

He immediately went with you, afraid of the cauldron, thinking it magically began to walk and turn him into a frog

"It won't turn into one if you don't drink what inside"

That at least calm him a little

"Your Lupical... How they were?"

"They were two hunters, I was supposed to be a hunter like them but I was a sucker for books and knowledge, despite they wanted me to be smart, they also wanted me to hunt with them, to which I didn't want to do it... More than one time they hid my book so I would returned them late or destroy them" you sighed "at least they didn't got what they wanted"

"What they hunt?"

"Rabbits, boards, some little animals and..."

"And?"

"Wolves...." You paused a little "they also helped with the protection of the city during full moon... Despite being my family, they were nasty people... One time I heard them planning to hunt the all wolves in Wolvendom... I guess I was the black sheep of the family"

"And you want kill wolves?"

"No, I don't want to... I'm not like them, if you ask me, I don't kill for fun, I only do it when it's necessary"

"What you think about me?"

"About you... Hmmm.... Well, you are nice, kind, a little naive and you really seem to care about your Lupical, unlike me, because I'm a... Lone wolf" he laughed a little by your response

"You not feel lonely?"

"Well... I have Iblis, Lisa is technically the one in charge of me... The Knights could be like the closest thing to a family but... I accostumed to be lonely and it's always been like that"

Razor look at you with pity, after all, he was accostumed to be in company of his pack and lone wolfs were a rare thing

"I be with you!"

You look at him with an unamused face

"When did I agree to that? Besides, you don't have your Lupical to take care of"

"But... You are lupical, lupical doesn't need to be alone"

"I'm fine on my own, but if you really want to, I think you won't leave me alone"

Then he hugged you

"I not fail you"

After a while, the painkillers were done and you two had to bid your farewells, it was safer that Razor stayed with his pack in Wolvendom till the full moon is gone

"Master?"

"what?"

"do you perhaps like that werewolf?"

"Wha- of course not! Not in that way!"

"I didn't say that you liked him that way"

"When we arrive home, I'll give you a very cold bath"

The feline just closed his eyes, knowing that he'll suffer during that bath, he probably would prefer another place to 'clean' himself

Why Razor is a werewolf? Because why not? He's wolf boy, if he has to be a supernatural creature, it's 100% that he's a werewolf, I bet y'all think the same (if not, give me the clown wig please)

Wishing everyone luck on Venti's Rerun, I Will totally pull because I didn't get him cause someone came home, not pointing fingers, but it was a broke-ass astrologist (I latter find out how pity works and you know the rest), if he doesn't, Childe probably will... (I'm with 50/50, knowing my luck, I probably get c1 of any other 5* with the exception of Mona (she's C1)
