my heart says the chapter one because it makes more sense to me (and people can read it then episode by episode along with the show if they want) but my gut says if i post a fan fic thats like only 6000 words and 27 chapters, no one will read it

That's so kind of you asdfghj I really appreciate it!! I love storytelling and character focused stories/plot/themes, and writing this fanfic has been a really nice exercise for me to indulge in that.

I'm making a story of my own which is also character driven! So, again, it's really nice to stretch my legs in writing too. :)

I'm glad you think so highly of my fanfiction!! I really wish a season 3 could've happened!! It's been fun trying to juggle all the characters and set them up for their own arcs.

Yes!! I feel like a lot of the show was building up a lot of themes to identity, finding yourself, loss/grief (of various kinds: Loss of family, loss of oneself, etc). But also showing the opposite theme: Of finding yourself, relief, peace and acceptance. Even moving onwards.

Themes that Vee represents/embodies really well - especially as a shapeshifter.

I think, for one, Hunter and Luz was supposed to have opposite arcs. Hunter finds himself and Luz loses herself. They would balance, thematically, off of one another. While still keeping Luz' struggle as the main character as the force to move the plot along; Hunter's arc only getting spotlight to support/dual Luz journey/decline/rise.

Taking the season three episode titles, I lean on the "for the future" one the most, as I think Luz dealt with a lot of doubt about where she fits in and what she can provide going forward (both for herself and her friends/family).

And I think Jacob would've been an interesting character. As much of a gag he is, he does represent certain aspects of both Luz and Belos.

He wants to be the chosen one (like both of them) and he wants to do something for his town (save it from witches, like Belos), and he wants to fit in with his community (like Luz) and can't quite find a way to do so. Perhaps even losing sight of what is going right in his life in favour of the grander greater thing (like both Belos and Luz) - That if they don't fit in with normal, perhaps it needs to be abnormal, and grand, and epic.

..... I mean I say all that, the difficulty is pulling it off lmao asdfghj ||||||OTL|||||

Also, small thing, in the manga Alibaba and Cassim moved past Aladdin, which now that it's just Alibaba made me think, how it was kind of symbolic? Like, it's not like Alibaba wanted to break that promise, but Cassim got him pretty badly involved in the Fog Troupe etc - Cassim was the one to drag him along. I mean, don't get me wrong, I think Alibaba would've wanted to do something regardless, but here he was very much following Cassim.

At the same time, I understand their choice here. It was supposed to be a moment between Aladdin and Alibaba. But here's the thing - Cassim was literally the one who was taking it away from them. That was, like, the point.

10:25 PM CST - As they're getting changed in the morning Ian asks Mickey if he wants to go with him to drop off some job applications. Mickey says he can't because he's heading to the Alibi to talks some final details over with Kev and V about this new gig but Ian could come with him if he wants. Ian decidedly doesn't want to be there to hear the specifics of whatever illegal stuff Mickey will be up to but they agree to walk there together. On the way there Mickey questions why Ian's even applying for more these shitty jobs anyway. Ian mentions that he doesn't really have a lot of options as a former convict. Mickey mentions how he seems to have made it work, Ian counters that doing something that can get him thrown back in jail doesn't count as "making it work," to which Mickey disagrees. Ian shakes his head, done, and tells him he'll see him at home as they split at the Alibi.

Ian's pretty quiet after he gets home and through dinner, heading up to bed early alone. Mickey follows him up not long after, coming in and asking why he's being a pissy bitch as he strips down to his tank and boxers. Ian retaliates by not moving so Mickey can easily get into bed, Mickey gives him a really? look and decides to be extra annoying by crawling over Ian to get to his side. They both lay on their backs looking at the ceiling in silence before Ian sighs and admits he doesn't want to work another shit job like the last one but he doesn't have a choice. Mickey answers that he's making money, so if Ian could just fucking relax for once. Ian tells him he wants to get a job, doesn't like sitting around the house all day, and repeats how he doesn't like Mickey going around selling stolen stuff, especially when he's selling it straight to the place that locked them up. Mickey points out that they've talked about this before and he knows what he's doing. Ian sits up, frustrated, I know we have, but I'm still fucking worried about it, it's risky Mickey. Mickey sits up too, Look, if this new gig works out like I think it will, I won't even need to do that shit anymore. Ian pulls a face, Right, trade one scam for another, nothing to worry about there. Mickey rolls his eyes and puts his hand on Ian's neck to pull him into a kiss, which Ian slowly relaxes into. He pulls back, staying close enough for their noses to bump, runs his thumb across Ian's cheek, Just trust me on this alright, Freckleface. Ian lets out a soft laugh at the nickname and puts his hand over Mickey's, looks him in the eye, You know I trust you.

After they've settled in and Mickey's fallen asleep, Ian lays awake with a running mind, eventually falling into a fitful sleep.

1 - I think my favourite was...2 or 3? I just love the chaotic energy and the scenes with all the Gallaghers together. And least favourite was maybe...9? I liked some parts but at certain points I found myself scrolling along the watch bar to see how long I had until the next Ian scene lol.

I don't know if I could convince you to watch the rest of the series, as I'd definitely say you've already seen the best bits! But if you did want to watch just one episode in full, then I'd definitely recommend the Gallavich wedding :D it's just....chefs kiss ✨

2 - I'm going to sayyyy vampires! I just love the aesthetic of them.

‘Do you like Brahms?’ ep 9 thoughts (dolce, indeed)

Oh my God!! I was going to die from the sweetness!! Granted, not everything this ep was sweet BUT a huge part of it was and even the parts that weren’t, were great and exciting. There were so many good scenes and moments and THAT ENDING!! asdfghj!! I literally screamed and the gasp when I saw JoonYoung was there as well...

So very glad our leads are communicating, even if it’s not up to a 100% yet (looking at you JoonYoung, the one that only wants to show his good side), but they cleared up a lot of external/internal misunderstandings, so I’m satisfied, for now.

It was so cute to see a glowing with happiness SongAh (ah, the splendor of being in love) and to see JoonYoung less depressed (just a bit less, because then we wouldn’t have a story duh), more relaxed and smiling. I know that things will get bad again, ‘cause our story is far from over (and those JoonYoung’s flashbacks had me freaking out, I’m genuinely concerned now), so I’m glad for this episode and the early, sweet stages of our new couple. My babies, I wish nothing could hurt you anymore and get in the way of your relationship.

Sadly, things are less than good for our other characters. I gotta say, the thing I mourn the most is the fractured friendship between JoonYoung and HyunHo, since we barely had any of it before it was snatched away and it’s clear JoonYoung relied on that relationship heavily thanks again JungKyung. SongAh’s friend and public enemy no 1, JungKyung, were less than stelar for me with their pained looks and wannabe puppy eyes. Yeah, I don’t forgive easily.

And then there’s MinSung. At least we had a good 9 eps of her and SongAh being besties and I think they will have an easier time reconnecting than JoonYoung and HyunHo, so I’m not that worried. Besides, SongAh never did anything wrong or betrayed the ‘girl code’, her one sided love was pretty harmless. 

Finally, it was good to learn what exactly is the problem between JoonYoung and his teacher *sighs* I wish I could care at all about this man’s complex, but I just find it petty and childish, like him.

Whatever he finds trivial, which is pretty much 80% of things asdfghjs

Unless you both have an established relationship, and thereby passed a threshold where he feels connected enough with you to give a damn about what’s important to you (even if it’s not to him), he will just silently nod along to what’s being said and fight the urge to roll his eyes. 

But these are only in cases where he needs to act, like a celestial court meeting in The Tower, or literally any time Eliphas says anything.

Otherwise he won’t bother pretending at all, and might actually flat out say he’s not interested in the topic and leave it at that.

15. what is your character afraid of?

Being bound.

Wrists or ankles getting pinched, string or thin fabric catching and pulling on his arm, the sound of a chain rattling could all set him off. Even things like grabbing him a bit too hard will offset his pulse.

It’s combination of trauma from dying, and then the remaining consciousness of his soul being used as a mindless, trapped puppet during Vector’s duel against Merag and Durbe. 

Similarly, were someone to paralyze him, even temporarily, it’d trigger a psychological episode too.

(This is also why he no longer uses his own tentacles unless absolutely necessary)

they lose a lot of friends and see good people die and it makes them both take the time to notice and appreciate the little things about each other, to make every hug/touch last a little longer and mean something more

30. Why does it work (or not work) between them?

there’s a lot they can both understand about each other (loss, being at the top of the list), obi-wan becomes a bit attached after he promises qui-gon he’ll look after her and octana also becomes attached bc he was qui-gon’s padawan and she feels a sense of family with him, so their relationship will always stand regardless of the romantic aspect and i think that’s why they’re in love to begin with - bc they’re attached and they know that the other will always be there, so there’s more hope for stability in being vulnerable and romantic
