thanks to @goatskickin 's fun psd they uploaded with this gift of cute cu outerwear, i decided i would try my hand at another clothing recolor! i made 4 mostly patterned recolors. The patterns wrap well and visible pattern seams are only like up in the armpits or other places u won't see often. The neopolitan recolor has a little pink smiley face on the zipper pocket! i hope you guys enjoy them!! pretty sure i got the patterned fabrics from stash fabrics.

Just had to write some quick thoughts about holiday shopping with Anakin because eeeeekk christmas!! but i refer to it as the 'holidays' cause i know not everyone celebrates xmas! enjoy!!

I’m just thinkin’ of a pretty winter day, there’s fresh snow on the ground and in the trees, the roads are icy, green garlands laced with pinecones and cranberries strewn over all the houses decked out in twinkly lights, and it just smells like the holidays in the air.

You have some last minute shopping to do, and you and Anakin are both free alllllll day.

He’s woken up early because a tuft of snow fell from the roof and thwacked against the window on the way down… you’re a heavy sleeper and it didn’t bother you, so he decides to slip out of bed quietly and take a quick shower, then start some coffee while he waits for you to wake up.

Soon you notice the sheets have grown cold, and you stretch across the bed with a yawn, gravitating toward the sputtering sound of the coffee maker in the kitchen.

His hair is still wet and messy from his shower, eyes a little bleary from sleep, and he’s got this pouty look on his face because he despises the cold – yet he still sleeps shirtless?

You’ll never understand it, but you meet him by the counter he’s leaning against, braced on his forearms as he yawns, and feel him jump a little as your hands wrap around him from behind and find his stomach.

You mutter your “good mornings” as he reaches overhead and grabs a couple of mugs, pouring the coffee into both and then sitting at the table, both trying not to fall asleep again before you can get out of the house.

It’s still early by the time you head out the door – bundled up in winter jackets and boots to brace the snow. Anakin goes all out, cause again, he doesn’t like the cold. He wears gloves and a hat, layers his hoodies and jacket, and immediately cranks the heat as soon as you get in the car.

He insists on driving everywhere, of course. He’s the “car guy”, plus the roads are icy and you trust him more than yourself with driving in these conditions. 

The roads aren’t very busy yet, and he drives slowly while chatting with you. You insist on holiday music, cause its “festive”, and beg him to pull into a drivethrough even though you just had coffee.

You need the festive coffee, too.

Ofc he agrees, and then you’re arriving at the grocery store. You hold your coffee with both hands to warm them up, and Anakin follows you around, pushing the cart while you throw items in and tick them off the list. 

Those little plastic vegetable bags?? You can never get the damn things open, so you always just hand them to him, wordlessly requesting his assistance.

He’s also good for reaching for the top shelves cause he’s much taller than you.

Sometimes you send him on little errands to get something you passed by accident, and when he comes back looking for you, his face always lights up cause he found you again.

Carries all the bags to the car, and then you’re off to do some more gift shopping at another plaza. The music gets turned up and you probably make most of the conversation, talking all excited, pointing out cute Christmas decorations on people’s lawns, and  planning out loud where you want to go and what to get.

The shopping plazas are packed with last minute shoppers, of course. Thankfully, Anakin’s parking skills are unbeatable. His ability to squeeze into the tightest, parallel spaces amidst rushing traffic always amazes (and terrifies) you, but it’s very useful in instances like this.

Again, he insists on carrying the bags and holds whatever you need him to, helps deliberate between certain items if you’re not sure what to get. It doesn’t take very long – he’ll forever be grateful that you’re an efficient shopper.

He makes you hook your arm around his while walking outside cause he doesn’t want you to slip on any snow or ice between the shops. Plus… you’re warm, and he likes people knowing you’re together.

Once you’re all done, you’re escaping from the busy shops, insisting on driving home this time cause the roads aren’t so bad anymore. It’s afternoon now, and the sun is all golden and making the snow sparkle. Quiet music plays in the background, and the vents are blasting warm air, and soon, as expected, you see that Anakin’s fallen asleep in the seat next to you – arms crossed over his chest, head lolled onto his shoulder, cheeks all rosy  from the cold.  

He always falls asleep so fast when he’s not driving, specially right now when it’s so warm in the car and you have a knack for driving smoothly and unhurried. 

You also just love that he trusts you enough to sleep in the car… usually he’s such a backseat driver with Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, but not with you.

When you finally get home, you turn the engine off and just look at Anakin for a minute, unable to fight the smile off your face. He looks so cute and peaceful… you don’t want to wake him up, but you can’t leave him in the car.

“Ani? Anakin – we’re home,” you rub his shoulder gently, voice a soft, sweet whisper. He stirrs, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. “Sorry,” you wince. 

He mutters, “‘ts okay,” and braces himself for the gust of cold as he opens the door.

You insist he just go inside and that you can get the bags, but of course he doesn’t let you do that.

Carries like 8 million things at once cause no way is he making more than one trip. 

And once he’s dropped it all off on the counter, he asks if you want a fire started, which of course you do. 

So he’s all sleepy as he takes all his layers off, then gets to work stacking logs in the fireplace while you unpack everything you bought. 

Soon the fire’s going, warming up your living room, and you’ve got food heating up, and the soft christmas music from the car is now playing on your speaker because it’s festive. 

And you’re just flitting around the room after you eat, fixing your decorations and absentmindedly cleaning things off, and Anakin’s just so sleepy and warm that he has to hook his arm around your waist and drag you onto the couch with him to get you to relax.

You put on a holiday movie – cause it’s festive – even though you both secretly hate them. 

And… he’s fallen asleep again 💕

A secret santa gift.

A little bit of back story, then on to the night of the event.

I got a job with a company in another state, and relocated there with the missus. The phone interview went pretty well, and the operations manager told me that there would be regular reviews and pay rises. When I forced the first review and asked about the pay rise, the owner of the company looked at me and said "what more value will you offer us to justify it". This was only 2 weeks after I had done 136 hours in 6 days and damn near killed myself to get a number of different projects together. This was in the first year.

I worked there for four years, and made some great friends, but every single time the topic of pay came up, the owner kept saying he couldn't afford it.

Now, the regional city we were in was famous for it's drinking culture, and the boss actually paid for a decent xmas party, so drunken shenanigans were the norm, and every year they had a secret santa. For those who don't know what this is, everyone draws a name of someone in the company out of a hat, and has to anonymously get them a small gift.

The last xmas party that I attended was coming up. At that point, the hierarchy of the company didn't know that I was already arranging to leave (in a fairly sudden fashion, but more on that later), and I managed to draw the owners name out of the hat for the secret santa gift. I racked my brain on what to get, and finally picked out what I thought was the perfect gift.

Fast forward to the night of the xmas party. All my friends in the company know that I'm leaving, but they're keeping quiet for me. Everyone is getting well lubricated, and it's time to hand out the gifts from everyones secret santas. There's a few silly coffee mugs, a g-string for one of the more manly guys there, and then the owner picks up his gift. He opens it up to discover that it's one of those rubbish grabber. The expression on his face is one of "weird flex, but ok".

As the night starts to wrap up, I mention to one of my mates that it's REALLY important that he reads the card, so with everyone still there, he yells out "Hey boss, the card you got with your gift, what does it say?".

The boss pulls the card out and reads it out loud "THE PERFECT GIFT FOR THOSE WITH VERY SHORT ARMS AND VERY DEEP POCKETS".

To this day, I'm not sure if he knows I gave it to him, but EVERYBODY else does.

As for me leaving, while this was happening, I had been packing a shipping container full of all our furniture, and had arranged to have 3 months of paid leave starting the same week as xmas ( had so much leave because they didn't pay overtime, they gave it as Time In Lieu. The shipping container was picked up on xmas eve, and I left the state that night, driving 3000km in 2.5 days. I had got them to pay all my leave entitlements in a lump sum, and I sent them a resignation letter 3 weeks before I was due to return to work.

At Sasuke's work they do a secret Santa with the entire detective squad. When Sasuke pulled out Kakashi's name he suggested to get him a huge realistic dildo so he knows what a big dick he is. Naruto voted against that idea and instead, got a nice scarf and in a nice box and wrapped it beautifully before telling Sasuke to give it.

Sasuke said that everybody at his work knew Naruto bought the gift and not him because it was actually 'thoughtful'.

So day for secret Santa came. And Sasuke put the gift on Kakashi's desk. When he turned around he saw Tobirama Senju, the detective that recently transferred and they were put on the same murder case. They didn't originally wanted to work together but Kakashi made them. They had a similar background, both have gone to the same military boarding school and according to Kakashi they are both pieces of shit.

They tried to work individually on the same case but since they kept bumping in on one another they figured...perhaps they had to work together after all. He was also the same guy that kept Sasuke warm in the back of the car during a stake out, which made (for sasuke) their interactions a bit awkward.

Tobirama asked what he had gotten Kakashi and he took the little cute xmas card, obviously one Naruto bought, and read, "Use this to strangle yourself." In beautiful cursive letters.

He asked if he had gotten Kakashi a dildo and Sasuke said he wanted to, but his husband got the jerk a scarf instead.

Tobirama said his husband was way too good to be with an asshole like Sasuke.

Sasuke says everybody kept saying that.

Tobirama said Sasuke must be pretty good in bed because he could think of no other reason why a man like Naruto would stay with him.

Sasuke said he was okay-ish. And tobirama chuckled at this before asking if Sasuke had gotten his secret Santa gift.

Sasuke said he didn't, luckily, see anything on his desk. The best secret santa gift would be no gift at all. It just shitty Kakashi forced everybody to participate.

Tobirama said his secret santa wanted to give him his present personally. And gave him a small bag .

Sasuke opened the bag and saw a small wrapped box. He opened it and fell quiet seeing a picture of a teenage him with the Shiro the dog. The puppy he got from the all boys military boarding school of otogakure to apparently make the transition easier, but he had to kill it in order to graduate from the cruel assassin school. He loved that dog so much it was one of the hardest things he ever had to do. He was never able to get another dog and it is the memory that hurt the most.

He asked how Tobirama got the picture as far as he knew Danzo had burned all files before they would have gotten into the hands of the public when the school went down.

Tobirama said he had his ways to get things.

Sasuke said it made him suspicious as a person. Was he here to kill him?

Tobirama smirked at this and said, "If I wanted you dead..."he walked past Sasuke before putting his hand on Sasuke's shoulder and whispering,"I would have let you freeze to dead in the back of the car."

He then walked away and said:"Happy holidays."

When Sasuke got home and Naruto asked how his day was and if Kakashi liked the present. Sasuke said he didn't wait for Kakashi to open the gift and went home not soon after leaving the box. Naruto asked who got him for secret santa and Sasuke said the guy that got transferred recently and he handed Naruto the picture frame and Naruto looked at it and his face shined up and he is like, "That's you! I thought all records and pictures were burned."

Sasuke said:"I did too..."

Naruto looks at his husband, he doesn't look happy. He asks what is on Sasuke's mind and Sasuke said,"What if he is here to kill me?"

Naruto asked why he would want to kill Sasuke. And if that wouldn't mean that he also had to kill kakashi too.

Sasuke shrugged....maybe... his husband made a good point.

"You are right. He would have let me freeze in the car if he was out to kill me."

"Wait, that is the same guy who cuddled you to keep you warm. Who gave u his hoodie and jacket...."

Sasuke nodded.

Naruto remained quiet.

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).   —  he’s the protagonist, he’s too nice, too likable, and he might be, from some perspectives, super overpowered. a lot of his flaws are issues that come with a lot of protagonist characters, like selflessness to a fault, recklessness, a desire to help no matter the cost, etc., and it might come across as overdone or unoriginal for someone like him.

What inspired you to rp your muse?  —  twipri has been my favorite video game of all time since i first played it the xmas after it came out, when i was 7. it was an unbelievably huge influence on my life, and got me through a whole lot of shit i’d have to go through up until i was a teenager. it was a constant for me, a comfort. and link, being the protagonist, was of course the center of it. i connected to him really hard, and becoming him whenever i played the game was like magic to me as a kid. honestly, i dont know why i didnt write him until this year, because he’s been such an easy headspace for me to slip into for years. ig i just figured it was about time? id already written both tp zel and midna at separate points, so it was only right to complete the trio ksjfgh

What keeps your inspiration going?  —  the game itself, its soundtrack, art, linked universe and its little fandom, and you guys! just seeing all of your posts and your passion for loz and its characters helps fuel the love i have for it too!

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?  —   i?? dunno??? i guess i’d just tell them to unfollow. i’m not here to write link the way you think he should be written, i’m here to write him the way i want to.

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  —  hkljfg does anyone hate link??? like. he’s link. he’s neutral at worst. but it’s not my business if someone hates him, so to each their own ig

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  —  mm i don’t mind it, but i don’t really see the point. rp is a form of writing that doesn’t need much editing, and when it does, we are our own editors, so of course we’re going to make mistakes and overlook them. english is a complicated and hard language, and typos/misspellings/grammar errors happen and it’s not a big deal

Do you think you are easy going as a mun?   —  yes!! i’m a very laid-back person in general i think, and of course i have things i won’t tolerate and i’ll speak up when i need to, but at the end of the day rp is a hobby, and it’s something we do to have fun, and i know that having fun is the most important part of doing this. though, sometimes i think my anxiety & fear of confrontation might make me a little too lenient on things like my own rules tho kjfhg

gift wrapping ... and harry saves xmas

a/n: hey this is a little something that I thought of instead of finishing my actual *only* xmas one shot b/c wow, I'm the worst. super short, hope it brings u back, happy reading!

“Perfect,” Harry whispers, sticking the big swirly red bow on y/n’s final present.

He turns the box to examine every edge and corner that he has finished wrapping. A smile stretches on his face at the cute little Christmas penguins design, the same one that his love had squealed over at the store. He ended up buying about three rolls, only using them for her gifts that he had gone overboard with. 

She knew he wouldn’t listen had she told him not to buy her anything, so she had insisted that he only get her one present. It’s Christmas – she doesn’t need anything except his company. From the amused chuckle that he had given her in response, it was clear that he had found her proposition cute, but very much unlikely.

The artificial tree in the living room they had decorated together drowns in the twinkling lights and the most festive, glittery, flashiest ornaments they could find. While Harry prefers a traditional Christmas, he couldn’t resist her eagerness for just a little more flare with the decorations this holiday season.

Underneath the impressive seven-foot tree are stacks and stacks of presents. There are some for his family, some for hers. A good amount for their beloved friends, their beloved friends’ children, and even their beloved friends’ parents. An armful of them, however, are for y/n, all from the same person with a different pseudonym for each.

 His unspoken goal is to get her to giggle or aww for each one. He loves how shy she gets when he gives her a present, him watching cross legged on the floor in front of her, grinning in anticipation. Her reactions are always the best. They feel, ironically, like Christmas morning to him.

Harry smiles proudly at his gift-wrapping accomplishments. As he maneuvers around the presents on the floor, trying to find a good spot for her final gift, his ears become alert to the outburst of laughter coming from the upstairs bedroom. It doesn’t surprise him to know that someone else is in the house. Y/n had almost walked in on him wrapping up her second or third present.

To avoid spoiling the surprise, Harry had sent his girlfriend upstairs, telling her to please wait until he had finished his wrapping. She had whined, of course. “I want to wrap presents too!” While her cute pout had been extremely tempting, he instead promised that once he finished her gifts, he would call her down so that they could finish up the rest. She eventually complied, with a kiss to her nose and a smack on her bum guiding her up the stairs.

With his hand on his hips, Harry’s curiosity grows with her laughter. It delights him to hear his girlfriend so happy, but he wonders what she could possibly be entertaining herself with. Instead of interrupting her joy by calling her downstairs, he sets her present on top of another box to the right of the tree and jogs up the staircase.

He turns to his right, through a wide hallway as he pushes away the fluffy ball of his Santa hat that had fallen in front of his eyes. When he turns into the bedroom, he finds y/n facing away from him, tummy resting on the mattress with her elbows supporting her weight. Her laptop is open in front of her, some strange type of cartoon on the screen.

In the midst of her distracted hysterics, Harry flops down on the bed and blankets over her body as much as he can. She groans dramatically at his weight, but the sound transforms into deep-chested chuckles.

“Hi.” Harry wraps his arms around her front, pressing a kiss upon her cheek. “Finished wrapping your presents.”

“Oh, good,” she replies, half of her attention on him, half on the whatever is on the screen.

“What’re you watching?”

Harry peers over her shoulder, trying to get a good look at her entertainment. Her body rumbles with silent giggles beneath him – she doesn’t answer him, instead anticipates his reaction for when he figures it out himself. It is unfamiliar to him at first, until he notices the animation that harshly tugs him back a few years. His eyes automatically roll in response, along with a slight cringe and twist of his face.

“Oh god...”

“If you need anything at all ... just ... believe.”

“Anyone find that guy a little strange?”

“It’s so good.” Y/n laughs, maximizing the video so that they can both watch The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction. The second part to the third installment, to be more specific.

“Are you serious?” Harry tries to keep a serious tone, but he just can’t when y/n’s practically dying with laughter. “This is what you’re going mad over?”

“Stop!” She almost wheezes, softy patting his hand on her arm. “This is the best Christmas special out there.”

“I’ve actually got a few in mind that are quite Christmas-y and don’t involve me in cartoon form.”

“Shhh, sh, sh,” y/n begs of him. She raises the volume, gripping onto his fingers to keep him from getting away. “Watch this part, it’s really funny. Aw, look at you!”

Not exactly the aw and giggles he had been expecting.

“Tha’s not even me,” Harry argues, pouting at her side a little. When she doesn’t notice, he glares at her and settles on top of her to watch whatever part it is that gets her excited.

“Don’t you see? If you rearrange the letters in train conductor, it spells ... child abductor!”

Harry drops his forehead on his girlfriend’s shoulder, quiet snickers escaping him at the ridiculous comedy. He does find it funny, but the fact that y/n isn’t paying attention to him is what makes him wish she’d turn it off.

“Oh, baby, you’re so cute,” she coos at him, except she’s saying it to the screen, not to her actual boyfriend. “Look! He even has the little mole next to his mouth like you do! Ugh, I just wanna kiss it.”

“Well, funny thing is, I am right here—”

“Wait, where did you get that H from?”

“What the H?”

Another laugh wheezes from y/n, who completely ignores her boyfriend sighing on top of her. She’s being so difficult right now. All Harry wants is to wrap presents with her, sing Christmas songs, maybe make out a little, but instead she’s completely immersed in this cartoon. What’s worse is that she is so damn adorable right now, it is hard not to smile; his heart even explodes with love. 

“Alright,” he says, pressing another kiss on her face despite the lack of reaction. “I guess I’ll just wrap the rest of the presents myself.”

“Wait!”

She calls after him, gripping onto his arm once he raises from the bed. He turns to her with a grin on his face, waiting for her to close the laptop so he can scoop her up and take her downstairs. 

“...Watch part three with me! You have to see how he draws your little tush.”

Harry’s shoulders slump, his face falling in a glare. Again, she barely notices when she turns her attention back to the screen.

“My tush is not little—”

“Please get off me! We’re going way too fast!”

Y/n turns to Harry with a mock expression, saying Niall’s line along with him. “What are we, dating?” She then raises her eyebrows in a suggestive manner, persuading him with just a single tug on his arm.

Soon enough, Harry is falling back on top of her, their hands clasping at her front. He smiles warmly, thinking to himself unfortunately because yes, they’re dating, and yes, she is like an annoying child sometimes. Regardless, he snuggles his chin into her shoulder, wrapped around her and squeezing tightly just because. He supposes the gifts can wait until later – right now, he is perfect right where he is.

Day 7: Secret Santa/ “This isn’t Christmas music.”

           Midoriya was completely ecstatic. That journal is perfect! He can probably write all his notes on heroes in this journal. A thirteen notebook of notes can fit in this journal and it probably wouldn’t be filled halfway!

           Uraraka has gifted him an All Might themed journal that is almost the size of their desk and as thick as a dictionary (or much more thick). “I know it’s a little over the top, but I figured you can use this to record all your notes and you won’t have to go through a bunch of notebooks. You can write in your notebook then transfer it here later and organize it to your liking!”

           “U-Uraraka this is so thoughtful of you. It’s amazing, I-I love it! But you really didn’t have to.

           “Oh hush, it’s the least I can do! You’ve taught me a lot.”

           “Wow, now my gift to you needs to be just as amazing.”

           “Oh you don’t have to, Deku.” But it was too late; he was already muttering a plan to look for the perfect gift for her. Uraraka then left to him to his muttering knowing that there wouldn’t be a point to get his attention at the moment.

           After a few hours of thinking, he still hasn’t figured any gift that she would like and enjoy. So he planned to observe her to get hints of what she really likes and hopefully find useful details.

           The first hint he got is that she really loves sweets; He took note of it and listed down all the sweets he knows she liked. As much as a good idea it is, he wanted to give her something that she can use for a long time.

           Midoriya thought about it and concluded that he could be her secret santa. He could give her gifts throughout the week before Christmas. That’s it!

           He then bought a large box of mochi that he’s seen her buy frequently. He wrote a note saying ‘The sweetest treat for the sweetest girl I’ve ever known. This is a gift of thanks and there are more to come.’ He signed it as secret santa and attached it to the box.

           ‘Now, only thing to do is to give it to her.’ He thought about sneaking into her room and placing it there. But the thought of him sneaking into a GIRL’S room doesn’t sit well with him. But he can’t just leave it outside her room, others might take it. It’s not that he doesn’t trust his other classmates, its just that this gift is just for her and is up to her to share it or not. He really wants to go in. He has to if he wants to give it to her, but he can’t because HE’S SNEAKING INTO HER ROOM!!!

           After the debate with himself, he decided that he’ll run in and run out. Yeah, that’s it. He can’t see her personal stuff when he’s fast. He took a deep breath and barged in her room not giving himself a chance to back out of the idea. He placed the box on her bed and quickly ran out then slammed the door shut. By the time he was out, he was tomato red and was gasping for breath.

           He dragged himself to his room and slumped ti his bed, tired of the whole ordeal. “For Uraraka” he mumbled before spacing out. He couldn’t believe he just snuck into her room.

           Midoriya was brought back to reality when he heard loud squealing from the girls’ side of the dorms. He sprinted out of the room and headed to where he thinks the squeals came from. When he got there, he saw his other classmates there. He blushed once he saw them in front of Uraraka’s room and all the girls in there.

           “W-what happened?”

           “Uraraka received a gift. Came here to check out if everything’s fine, turns out she has a secret santa.” Kirishima informed him

           Kaminari was quick to butt in the conversation and said “Or she has a secret admirer.”

           ‘Secret admirer?’ Midoriya thought. It took quite a while for the word to sink into him and by the time he did, he was blushing as red as Kirishima’s hair. He carefully walked out of the scene and headed to his room.

           ‘Secret admirer?’ Secret admirer?’ he thought while walking back ‘Secret admirer, secret admirer, secret admirer? SECRET ADMIRER??!!’ he was now running to his room. When he got there, he slammed the door shut and slid down it curling into a ball.

           ‘Secret admirer? What the heck? It was a gift from a secret santa not a secret admirer.’ He fidgeted with his shirt while lost in thought ‘Secret admirers give gifts to their CRUSH! I gave Uraraka a gift because she’s my friend. I don’t have a crush on her. Wait, do I? NO! Maybe?’

           “AHHH!” he screamed in confusion

           Later, there was a bang on his door “SHUT UP!”

           “K-kacchan? Sorry!”

           Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida were having a group study when Uraraka got a call from her parents. “Ah, excuse me guys I gotta take this.” She said walking out of Iida’s room.

           “Uraraka’s got an old phone, doesn’t she?” Midoriya pointed out

           “Yes. She actually has mentioned that she got it at the start of her middle school.”

           “Woah, that old?”

           Iida nodded “And it definitely shows its age.”

           Midoriya then quickly took note of it. After their group study, he headed straight for his room and started searching his drawers. His mother got him a new phone as a reward for all his accomplishment that year thus resulting in him not being able to use his other phone which he owned for not even for a year. He finally found the old phone and is still in pristine condition. He opened the phone to check if there’s anything that needs fixing and found it fine. Then he remembered giving the phone a factory reset when he got his new phone.

           He put the phone back in the box it came from when he bought it then wrote a note. ‘Hello! I’m gonna go straight ad tell you that this is not a new phone, but it is still in excellent condition. I’m giving this to you because you seem to need it more than me. This was my old phone. But don’t worry, I reset it and it’s good as new. Please don’t shy away from this gift. I hope you use it.’ And signed it secret santa before attaching the note to the box.

           Long story short, the same situation occurred when he placed the gift in her room. It ended the same; him slumped on his bed, incredibly flustered. He wasn’t even surprised when he heard the girls squeal. It’s a phone. Who wouldn’t freak out when someone had gifted you a phone? And from someone unknown no less.

           Midoriya’s heart fluttered when he saw Uraraka use the phone he gave her. He was happy that he gave her something very useful. But he also felt sad, because he wasn’t able to figure out anything to give her next. He hasn’t heard something she’d like from her. He was struggling. So much so that he wasn’t able to focus on the meeting Iida and Momo held for decorating the tree.

           But he was brought back to reality with what Uraraka said “How about butterflies? Anything can look prettier with butterflies on them!”

           “Yeah! They’re tiny and colourful.” Toru added

           “That is a nice idea but there no butterflies during winter.” Momo informed

           “Ehehe, just a suggestion.”

           “Midoriya how about—“Iida was about to ask but stopped himself when he saw him furiously writing on his notebook.

           Toru shivered—or at least assumed she shivered judging from her shaking clothes. “G-g-gosh it sure is cold today.”

           “Momo brought in a lot of teas, why don’t we try it out?” Mina suggested

           “Sure, I love tasting new teas.” Uraraka said immediately getting Midoriya’s attention who quickly took note of her statement.

           That’s two hints and zero gifts. He has to act fast. Christmas is just right around the corner.

           Today he visited his mother at their home. And at the moment, he was sitting in front of a dining table waiting for the tea his mother was preparing. And Inko being his mother, she quickly figured out that something was wrong.

           “Izuku, what’s got you down?” she asked placing the tea in front of him.

           He sighed and figured that it wouldn’t hurt to tell his mother. “Well, I wanted to give this girl a gift but I can’t seem to find the perfect one.”

           “Oh” she said in realization on the predicament her son was in. She was about to think of a response until she saw the butterfly he was doodling while lost in thought.

           “You know, a butterfly means ‘I like you’ right?”

           “W-what?! I—uh” he looked at his drawing then back at his mother “I-it’s not like that! She said she liked butterflies and I figured she wouldn’t mind receiving a gift with butterflies…” he rambled while his mother kept a wide smile on her face. She knows there’s something that he hasn’t realized it yet and she promised herself to let him realize it himself. “A-anyway, it’s not like that at all.” He finished then took a sip of his tea. ‘Uraraka would love to try it’ he thought as he indulged in the tea’s flavour.

           “Wow, your candy cane tea sure is one of a kind. I wish you made it everyday.”

           “Now, now Izuku. You know it’s tradition—“

           “CANDY CANE TEA!” he exclaimed in realization

           “P-pardon me?”

           “Mom, please give me the tea mix you used for this. I’m gonna give it to a friend!”

           Inko just smiled and handed to her son. When he got back to the dorms, he quickly wrote a note. ‘Hello, me again. I heard that you love trying out new teas so I figured to give you one of my favourites. It’s one of a kind and I really hope you love it.’ He attached the note on the box containing the loose tea leaves, and put it in her room.

           We all know how that went.

           Later, he found the girls swooning on the story Uraraka was telling them. When the familiar smell of candy cane hit his nose, he already has a guess on what story she was telling.

           When thinking on what gift to give her in relation to butterflies, he decided to go simple. A butterfly barrette with rhinestones in different shades of pink. He thought about the meaning behind the butterfly and considered they thought of him possibly liking her. It’ll take time, but hopefully it won’t take long for him to figure it out.

           Christmas day came fast. He suddenly found himself alone with Uraraka. “Hey, u-um…I have a—here” he shoved the box in front of her. She opened it and he was completely relieved she liked it. There was a note in it which she read out loud.

           “Hello. I hope you like this barrette. I heard you say that anything can look prettier with a butterfly on them and I know that you’ll look prettier with this barrette on you. Signed your secret santa.” She looked at him surprised with the revelation.

           “I-I h-heard or my m-mom told me that a butterfly means ‘I like you’ and—um”

           “Deku?”

           “Merry Christmas!” he said before running off

           The next day, he saw a pink butterfly origami attached to his door with the note “Thank you for everything – Uraraka Ochaco”
