Takes place in season 4, episode 2, Only One Can Remain.

Dancer boy

"Never before have so many Elemental Fighters been under one roof. I see Master of Fire, Earth, Shadow, Speed, even a prophesied Green Savior. And a former pupil has returned." Chen said as he motioned to the Elemental masters he spoke of.

The Elemental masters sat in a circle, just as Chen had planned. Not a single one of the invited was missing. The ninja kept their expressions schooled, for they couldn't show weakness in front of their future competition. Chen swayed on his chair like a child looking down at all his birthday party guests before pointing to a gong settled next to his chair.

"This symbol before you is for the fiercest Serpentine warrior to ever roam this land. Its creed: Only one can remain." The gong indeed had a symbol on it, a long snake with teeth sharp enough to bite through skin and bone: An Anacondrai. Chen then pressed a button on his chair, and the gong moved out of the way, revealing a bracket of how the tournament would go.

"Good, looks like we're each in our own bracket. We won't have to face each other for a while." Kai said in relief as Lloyd turned to him.

"Better find Zane before that happens." As Lloyd spoke, Chen's right hand man, Clouse brought him a chest, from which Chen pulled out a jade-green sword.

"Behold, a Jadeblade. Here, it represents life. Obtain it, move on. Allow your opponent to take it, loser. The rules are simple. Every match will be different. No two fights will be the same. Your powers will keep you in the Tournament. Use it or lose it." Chen explained as Karlof spoke up.

"Hm, what does Karlof win?"

"Win and stay on the island. Win it all, and you'll receive fortunes beyond your wildest dreams, and lifetime supply of Master Chen noodles. But no one is here because of noodles! You want the glory of being the greatest fighter in all of Ninjago!" Chen yelled as the Elemental masters, excluding the ninja, all cheered loudly.

"And what happens if they lose?" Garmadon's question cut through the cheering.

"Lose? Who here likes to lose?!" Chen asked sarcastically as everyone, excluding the ninja again, laughed.

"Now please, enjoy my island. It's a super fun happy place. Hahaha. Fun time on me. Oh, oh! But don't go just yet, I have a little show prepared for you all." Chen's words made Kai scoff and roll his eyes. Show? Really now? He didn't believe anything good would come of this. Chen clapped again as the main doors, which the elemental masters had come in from just a while ago, opened again.

A group of Chen's Kabuki started giggling in the corner as they hid their faces with their fans. Clouse threw them a glare, and they quieted down. There was a second of peace and quiet until Kai heard Griffin whistle, and one person whose name Kai didn't know let out a quiet "Wow..."

Now Kai's interest was peeked, and he finally turned to the door. Kai's eyes widened as his eyes fell onto the figure of a person dressed in elegant (f/c) robes. Slow footsteps sounded as the person walked to the center of the hall. Kai's eyes were now following the figure as they bowed to Chen. Chen laughed with a prideful smile before speaking up.

"I hereby present to you all, a dance like no other! Give it all you got." The last part was said as a command to the figure, who moved into a still pose, their eyes staring hazily at the floor as their hair fell slightly onto their face.

Suddenly a slow song started playing on the speakers littered around the hall, and the figure started moving. The movements were small, but they were smooth. The (f/c) robes draped and dragged behind the person as they danced. Kai's jaw fell open, and refused to close, no matter how hard he tried.

"Hmm... Not quite Chen's style." Garmadon pondered as he sipped down a cup of tea.

The person moved gracefully as their expression matched the tranquil tone of the song. Suddenly the pace of the music picked up, and so did the dancing. The calm swinging and spinning turned to sharp turns and jumps.

The dancers expression turned sterner, as he slid down to the floor. The choreography was something Kai had never seen before, and it made his eyes force themselves to keep open, refusing to miss even a second of the ongoing show.

Suddenly the person lifted their leg up, and Kai's face warmed up. There was another whistle from Griffin turner as the slit in the dancers robes revealed the persons leg. They were wearing short leg-wear resembling shorts, thankfully, but even one leg lift was enough to expose the rest of their leg.

The choreography lead the dancer to stand up again, as they threw their head back, making their (h/c) hair move along with them. The pace suddenly kicked up, before slowing down after a single, yet surreally high, leg throw. The music slowed down as the person slid to a pose on one knee, and the music stopped.

There was a moment of silence before Chen started clapping and cheering. The silence having been cut, elemental master after elemental master joined in the applause as the dancer relaxed, stood up, and bowed to Chen yet again.

"Thank you, (y/n)! That was amazing! Ah, It's probably good to mention, but (y/n) is also an esteemed guest of mine. He will join you during breakfast and lunch and so on." Chen explained as Griffin smirked behind his glasses. Kai noticed, and immediately threw the master of speed a glare.

"Now, you will be shown to your rooms." Chen added as a line of kabuki arrived and guided the fighters to their rooms. kai wasn't paying attention though. He stared after this (y/n) boy as he sighed, then walked into a room further away on the same floor as Kai's. After a few minutes of thinking about what just happened, Kai shook it away and left his room with the intention of exploring the place a little.

The first thing he saw made his blood boil. In front of the dancer boy's room stood Griffin, who knocked on it before calling out nonsense after nonsense.

"Could you at least open the door? You're being quite cold to me." And he knocked again. Kai then heard the voice of a boy speak up in a calm yet annoyed tone.

"Please, go away."

"How about we go on a walk? I already checked out the entire yard of this place and its pretty neat.

"Please, go away." Griffin received the exact same answer in the exact same tone. But Griffin made no move to leave.

"What abou-" Before Griffin could finish another sentence, Kai walked up to him.

"Hey. He told you to go away." Now that Kai had stepped up to Griffin, the master of speed grumbled before snapping at him.

"This is none of your business."

"It is, if you keep this up. I doubt Chen would be happy to hear someone was harassing another guest, hmm?"

"You-...Tch." Griffin let out before turning away and leaving. Kai scoffed at the master of speed before glancing at the door. He opened his mouth to say something, but instead just shook his head and left to continue exploring.

Then came the first challenge, Kai barely managed to move on while Karlof lost, and was thrown down to who knows where. The sun was starting to set, yet it wasn't too late to hang around yet. The ninja had planned to go exploring at midnight, but Kai had nothing to do before that.

So instead he took a stroll in the yard alone. He remembered Griffins words and hoped the man was speaking the truth when he said the place was 'pretty neat'. And surprisingly, neat it was. Kai at the pretty scenery before noticing something, no, someone sitting at the edge of a small man-made pond filled with colorful fishes. The person had sunk their feet into the water and stared at the lily pads floating over the water surface, until they too, noticed Kai.

It was the dancer boy, (y/n). Kai froze in place, and didn't know what to do. (y/n) just turned back to stare at the water as Kai stood still. His nerves kicking in, and remembering the leg lift from before, Kai turned on his heel and tried to leave, when (y/n) called to him.

"Not even going to say hello?"

"N-no, I m-mean yes, but I, ugh..." Kai's words got caught up in his throat, and he stopped trying. He turned back around and met (y/n)'s gaze as the boy stared at him silently. He was no longer wearing a set of different robes that constructed his beautiful looking dance outfit, and instead wore only the innermost white robe.

"Thank you." (y/n) suddenly spoke.

"H-huh?" Kai let out as (y/n) leaned his head on one of his knees.

"For helping earlier."

"Oh, I-I din't realize you saw me-" Kai lifted his hand and scratched his neck bashfully, when he was suddenly cut off.

"I didn't, I just recognized you from your voice." Kai stopped, before erupting in a blush of embarrassment. Suddenly (y/n)'s expression, which had been neutral the whole time, turned into a small smile as he chuckled. Kai's embarrassment disappeared and was replaced with a swarm of butterflies in his stomach.

"Sit with me?" (y/n) offered Kai, who took his time thinking about it, before he finally agreed.

"S-s-sure...!" The two shared a few words, nothing special, for Kai was too much of a nerve wrack to say much.

"What is your name?" (y/n) asked.

"It's Kai." Kai answered after clearing his throat. (y/n) nodded in aknowledgement before flashing him a smile.

"And your surname?"

"Smith." Kai answered as (y/n) turned away and giggled to himself.

"Hmm... Kai Smith... Ehehe..." Kai knew, he was either blessed with an angel, or this boy would give him a heart attack.

"Yo." A voice said from next to the table where the ninja were eating breakfast the next day.

"Ugh, didn't you hear?! I said it's private!" Suddenly Jay stopped as the others turned to the one who spoke. Surprisingly, it was not Mr. Pale, who Jay had expected to be there, and instead there stood (y/n) with his breakfast tray. He was no longer wearing robes, whether those were simple white ones or regal ones for dancing. Now it was just a loose t-shirt and a pair of shorts.

"(y-(y/n)!" Kai stuttered out as (y/n) flashed the team a nervous smile. Kai looked behind (y/n) to noticed that Griffin was eyeing them from afar, and quickly scooted over to give (y/n) space to sit with them. Kai tired to scoot further away, but since there were people already sitting with him, he was forced to sit shoulder to shoulder with the (h/c) haired boy. Cole noticed the look Kai was giving (y/n) and sighed.

"Oh boy, first Skylor, now him?"

Dang, this stuff oneshot stuff is difficult, I hope it isn't too lame.

Mmm having Morro Thoughts.

So y'know how I usually write Wu as a good dad n stuff? Well, I've been undelusionalizing myself (read: watching the canon show and discussing it with friends) and I've come to the conclusion that Wu was probably not the best when it came to raising Morro.

Obv he got better when raising the Ninja, but he was definitely not a model figure for parenting with Morro.

Wu would be very standoffish, unclear, and distant. He also glorified the Green Ninja heavily, and almost immediately shoving Morro on that pedestal was probably not a good idea.

It shows in the flashbacks that he didn't exactly give Morro breaks when training, unlike how he'd only let Kai train once on the spinjitzu course in the Pilots. The one and only time we've seen Wu "hug" Morro was when saving him from being eaten by a Grundle.

Morro picked up a framed picture, and held it facing Wu.

It depicted Wu and the Ninja, a proud smile breached the old man's face as he gazed upon his students. It was back when Lloyd defeated the Overlord.

"You never looked at me like this," Morro's voice waveres unusually.

Wu stayed silent.

"Y-you- You gived them breaks, you tell them you're proud of them, you- you hug them. For no reason! Jus-... Just because you can!" He spoke louder as he continued, and his lips quivered when he finished. He desperatedly held back tears.

"Wa... was I anything to you?"

It was barely a whisper.

"anSWER ME!" The wind swirled in the large room, and everything inside shuddered. "Was I anything to you?! Or was I just a chance at Destiny?" He spat the last word out.

The silence from the bearded man spoke the only answer Morro never wanted to hear.

"You were everything to me." Morro murmured angrily.

His grip faltered, still not used to his revived body, and the glass covering the picture cracked. It crossed over Wu's fond eyes and wrinkled grin.

Also apparently Wu doesn't light a lantern in DotD for Morro??? What the fuck????????

I know your every move tho (you're my favorite) and you taught me yourself your own techniques. But i could never hit you, its annoying. Did you not teach me everything?

As a kid watching Ninjago, I was just interested in the flashy powers, and the heroics of the main characters, like any kid would. Like, 'Aw these guys are so heroic and selfless and awesome'

But now as an adult, when I recommended my GF the show, I specifically said "This is Family Issues: The Lego Cartoon"

Honestly, Jay likes to complain and hide his upbringing, but he's probably the ONLY ninja with any resemblance of a normal happy childhood and backstory. He has two loving parents who supported him, and was an aspiring inventor.

You could argue Fritz Donegan rectified it, but Jay didn't know this, so how would this affect how is childhood turned out?

At worst, he was dirt poor, living in a junkyard and all, but compared to what the rest of his team went through, I think they'd WANT what Jay had.

Nah, instead most of Jay's trauma and emotional baggage is in the present.

And who else do we have?

We have a robot who didn't even know he was a robot, or had any idea of his identity or memory, so much so that he was just... wandering around the land with amnesia. (Then, you know, everyone thought he was weird)

We have Cole, who grew up in a harsh family background where his dad forced/pressured his kid to be a musician, and canonically suffered depression and bad violence habits after the loss of his mother/during her illness. (Idk about those other Royal Blacksmiths if they are in the family or not, but either way they didn't seem supportive)

Kai and Nya's parents up and vanished from their lives at ages five and three, and they had to raise each other all by themselves with just a blacksmith shop. Basically means they were forced to end their childhoods right there, especially Kai, because older sibling. And there's no indication they had any friends or anyone to help them in their town, at most there was that one lady that they hated, so... ouch.

And... Lloyd.

Just Lloyd.

Half of the show is just Lloyd suffering.

Born as the son of a man forced into an evil oni maniac, said father ditched his entire family.

Mom decided it was a good idea to abandon her kid in a boarding school about villainy. (That's like, the ONE thing I genuinely think the movie did better than the show.)

And that school heavily bullied Lloyd and even exiled him, forcing him on the streets, basically

Everyone hates him and doesn't help him (until Pythor)

Gets tricked by Pythor

Gets kidnapped by Serphantine

Nearly dies in lava

Is given a destiny as the savior of all of Ninjago where he's forced to be on opposite sides of his father, and part of said destiny involves him needing to kill him

AGAINST HIS WILL MIND YOU

Was LITERALLY forced to give up his childhood for this destiny

Was tortured by the Overlord for his golden power

Ice Ninja died

He got his father back, and then he died.

Was possessed by an evil ghost tyrant and was forced to do horrible stuff with no control over himself

Was also physically strained to his limit with that possession

Lost his uncle

Fell in love, and then said crush turns out to be a twist villain who wants to TORTURE him, resurrect his father and steal that fatherly love from him, and have said father try to KILL HIM

Which he was very close to succeeding at

Has to live in hiding for a week thinking all his friends are dead

Twist villain crush dies in a building collapse

That traumatizes him and haunts his trust and empathy towards people for A LONG TIME

Gets cubed in a video game (idk if that counts as trauma)

He's also a dragon oni hybrid, and his oni hide haunts his mind for his entire life, and is terrified to even think of a part of himself

Merge. For weeks he thought all his friends were dead. (Again)

And you know, physical beatdowns from being the Green Ninja, one of the most responsible jobs as the savior of all of Ninjago.

And that is not even everything, I'm sure there's a lot of stuff I didn't mention.

This poor, poor Emo Child.

If this wasn't a Lego show, this would have a Clone Wars tone, I'm convinced.

So yeah, 'Family Issues: The cartoon'.

At least they all have each other. They're a happy found family, and the light in each other's lives. They're here for each other. Their dynamics are precious to me.

Ninja as Marvel Superheroes

Lloyd:

To me, this is the most obvious. He would be Spider-Man; Spider-Man is young, witty, and learning the ropes along the way. I'd imagine he'd make his design off of a green lynx and still keep the ninja motif with baggier pants, maybe. I just genuinely think he'd be Spider-Man if anything.

Nya:

Hear me out. Iron Man. Her being iron man makes so much sense!! It calls back to her days as Sam X with her mech. And don't even bother talking to me about how it's Iron Man, I really don't care. She'd be, like, Iron Samurai or Iron Maiden (because I totally think she'd name herself after a killing machine). She's techy, incredibly smart, and resourceful! Maybe a bit prickly at first, but that's her <3

Zane:

This one is kinda a tie between Hawkeye and Vision. Skill wise, I feel Hawkeye would fit more, but personality and being, well, a robot, Vision fits better. So, I think I'll go with Vis! Like I said earlier, both are robots/nindroids/synthezoids, and both have a very similar personality! Even the Ice Chapter could fit in with what happened to Vis in WandaVision (I won't spoil!). It's definitely a good pick!

Kai:

He was a bit difficult. I feel like he gives Black Widow vibes, though. He is very skilled, stealthy, and not above killing for the people he loves. He's a fierce protecter of his people from the shadows and a bit standoffish at first - just like Nat! I just feel that Nat is way more suave than he could ever be.

Jay:

FALCON!! It calls back to when he tried to make wings from the junkyard! This was probably the easiest one to choose!!! I think that instead of his wings being from the military, he made them himself. He loves his people and wants nothing more than to do what is right. I don't think that a single person could fit him better.

Cole:

Hulk or Cap! I feel like using Hulk is a bit of a cop-out because, well, big strong man smashes things woah. Seems too easy. He doesn't have much in common with Bruce aside from strength, really. So I didn't want to fully choose him. Cap, however, seems like a much better fit. Cap had spent his days as a show-pony, basically. Singing, dancing, the likes. This feels similar to Lou's pushiness to the arts. Similarly, Cap (if you didn't know) loves to draw! Two confirmed drawings in his sketchbook are the monkey riding a unicycle and a little sketch of the city in the corner of the page. This really draws back to Cole. Not to mention, both Cap and Cole seem like the grounding glue holding the team together. The mother-hen. The face of the team. (Don't even lie to me and say he isn't. You don't have to be the main character to be the face - he's not even my favorite character, and I completely agree that he's the face. Everyone I know, when asked, says that they had a crush on Cole. It's ridiculous.) I just love the idea of Cole as Cap!

Kai doesn't really like the idea of sharing you so he's rather jealous and possessive at times.

He often socially isolates you or heavily flirts with you in public to show others you and him are a thing.

Even if you don't really enjoy it.

For the most part such an approach works.

No one Kai doesn't want near you bothers to get close.

Kai tends to have a temper that can be set off if anyone pushes their luck.

There's only one exception for Kai.

Kai most likely knows Lloyd's attraction to you due to being close with him.

At first the idea of Lloyd wanting to be with you repulsed Kai.

Kai has done everything he can to keep you away from others, he's done it all so he can keep you as his.

But the fact Lloyd still manages to have feelings for you is frustrating... however...

Lloyd really is the only person he can trust with you.

Kai's frustration about it fades, especially when he sees Lloyd keep is distance due to what's between you and Kai.

Kai still catches him stalking you at times but keeps quiet about it.

Kai's aware Lloyd has similar tendencies to himself when it comes to you.

He can't criticize the younger ninja because he himself has done the same before getting with you.

It would take time but at some point Kai would talk to Lloyd about it.

He's willing to share you to appease Lloyd's obsession.

The fact Kai trusts Lloyd with you shocks the Green Ninja but he takes the chance.

Lloyd becomes the only other person you get to interact with other than Kai after that.

At first Lloyd just treats you like a friend, he doesn't really want to force you into another relationship you don't want.

It's not until Kai encourages him that Lloyd pushes a bit more.

Even then the Green Ninja has enough patience to not force anything.

The dynamic almost feels like Kai's giving Lloyd permission to have romantic feelings towards you?

Kai's begun dating you first and since he trusts Lloyd... he'll allow him to date you also.

Most of this is done without consulting you, much to your own frustration.

Kai's certainly the one who comes off stronger while Lloyd is softer despite mirroring Kai at times.

Both of them know to back off when they need to but they don't plan on letting you go.

You could try to appeal to Lloyd to get you away from Kai and help you escape... but Lloyd most likely has too much respect for Kai to let you go.

Plus he loves you too.

They both are hopelessly in love with you and try to provide for you and keep you happy.

Even if they keep you isolated and force you to play along....

Kai would be the one to charm you with words while Lloyd would be the one to grab your attention with soft physical affection.

There is going to be fights at times but not to the point of rivalry.

These two are rather compatible when it comes to sharing a darling.

Other pairings that are just as compatible/similar involving Kai would be Kai and Nya sharing, or Kai, Nya, and Lloyd sharing.

The two would have minor fights but usually make up later.

You bring them together and keep them happy.

I can imagine if they want alone time with you they'd take turns.

They trust each other enough to know you don't need them both to hover around you all the time.

They know neither of them will help you escape so they allow small dates one on one here and there.

If you don't want to go out or have to stay inside, this works for them too.

Inside dates are perfect for them too, especially if you want to play video games.

Overall I feel these two are one of the most compatible pairings to share their darling.

They trust each other to take care of you and both love you... obsessively.

They'll be the only ones you have contact with throughout your little "relationship".

A request for @trans-breadbelike for Ninjago Movie Lloyd tickle headcanons! I really enjoyed writing these, Lloyd in the movie was so precious!

To begin, Lloyd has only had affection from his mom. Once The Secret Ninja Force started, he realized how much he missed out.

It took him a while to be completely comfortable with touch, even if it was positive and if he was touch-starved. It was all overwhelming. Kai had to restrain himself so much because he wanted to swarm Lloyd with many hugs.

When he adjusted, the invisible wall collapsed. Lloyd has never experienced so much care like this, he still gets teary-eyed. 

A part of that affection was tickling.

Usually, when Lloyd gets poked it’s not a good thing. (Heavily considering how much negative attention Lloyd receives, specifically thinking about Chen the Cheerleader in this case.) So the first few times he was very on-guard and gave no reaction, much to the squad's disappointment.

That changed one day when Kai and Nya started rage quitting over a board game, and Zane followed after them like the agent of chaos he is. This left Jay to run around helplessly, while Lloyd and Cole watched from the sidelines in amusement. Cole had leaned over to whisper commentary in Lloyd's ear, his breath so soft and talking so lightly it tickled Lloyd’s ear. Poor guy was so startled he squeaked and yanked himself away, covering the targeted ear. Lloyd has never seen Cole’s face make such a curiously mischievous expression before.

He has no experience in a tickle fight. He can battle shark mechs and fist-fight generals but can't hold his own in a tickle fight. He doesn’t know what to do!

I headcanon Luh-Loyd as the second most sensitive ninja, but he had no idea he was so ticklish.

So many squeaks. One of the squeakiest laughs to ever exist, and has lots of hiccups between giggles.

Lloyd's laugh begins as a loud scream and then dissolves into bubbly happy laughter.

But if he's tickled on a few specific spots, then he starts cackling very similarly to Lord Garmadon. (This is a reference to when Lloyd was a baby and copied Garmadon's laugh. The scene in the movie where Garmadon monologues a dramatic flashback of Lady Iron Dragon taking away tiny Lloyd.) Even after when he makes up with his dad, he hates it when he starts cackling like a supervillain.

At first, the team were surprised but reassured him that just because he cackles doesn't mean he's going to grow another set of arms or something.

(Ironic, as I headcanon Lloyd to have tiny horns and sharp teeth.)

Garmadon was elated to find out his son laughs like him! It became the main reason why he starts tickling Lloyd, the passive way (The only way, for that matter.) to win a fight against the green ninja.

He gets teary-eyed so quickly with tickles too, but happy tears of course!

He blushes really quickly, and can't do anything to stop himself from doing so.

The Ninja are, of course, aware that Lloyd has gotten little to no experience in the friendship department. They're nice enough to him whilst also being gremlins.

Well, sometimes Nya doesn't play nice. Nya really loves to see Lloyd smile, as he beats himself up far too much. She gets brutal with her teasing. Even if Lloyd wasn't acting out, she'd see him frown and squeeze his sides without stop.

Speaking of, anytime Lloyd starts berating himself - and the reassurance doesn't work - they resort to poking him until he either takes it back or says something nice about himself. Lloyd would rather be fired out of a volcano then do either of those things, it's THAT flustering.

He's not the best at tickle related games, but if he gets competitive then he'll risk it for the biscuit.

The tickle spots go from underarms to ears to tummy to feet to thighs. Those are all gold mines.

He melts when someone tickles his back. Even if it's a little embarrassing, he's totally content to become a puddle of soft giggles.

That's him on the receiving end, but when he's giving it? Oh, he's still precious.

He dishes out the compliments, always being sweet and making sure they're still having fun. Afterwards he gets water and asks if they need anything else to relax.

If someone starts to run away, he will chase after them but slow down to keep an even pace.

"Hey! Get back here!!"

The type to laugh along with someone's giggles.

He can and will get devious. (He is the son of Garmadon, after all.)

"I won't let you go until you promise to sit on the couch instead of the floor!"

"This spot tickles? Huh. Then I guess you better apologize quickly!"

Oh, right, he can usually say tickle. When he gets nervous and shy, he cannot.

He enjoys giving people massages. (It originates from him being protective over his team, his friends, because he refuses to loose him.) This happens when everyone gets sleepy, and with a second thought, he starts to trace people's hands and arms. He loves hearing people's sleepy hums and titters, it's adorable.

Lloyd definitely tickles people awake. He'd let them sleep in, but they'll miss out on school. (And, being around chaos has influenced him to be more silly.) This ends up being Cole, Kai, and few times Jay. Even fewer times has he gotten Nya, but he knows the ticklish consequences far too well.

He gets worried about tag-teaming people, as he doesn't like to fight his team, but he really does enjoy the banter and the bonding.

Besides, two birds with one stone! He figures he shouldn't let the opportunity go to waste.

If he's being accidentally tickled, it's extra flustering for him, because he doesn't want to draw attention to himself but goodness gracious he may just about burst.

He tries to be serious, and succeeded most of the time. He makes awkward jokes, but his smiles seem more like grimaces - like he's cringing. He can't ever seem to smile genuinely for pictures either. A few scribbles help him out no problem!

He can't hold in his laugh, not at all.

Cuddle piles are some of his favorite things, and he really likes tickle hugs too. He giggles so hard when he gets trapped in a hug, because he knows what's going to happen next.

His favorite tease to receive has to be, "Uh oh. I think I see a smile! Are you giggling, Lloyd?"

Lloyd has walked in on so many tickle fights, and he's quick to make an escape before he's dragged into it. But one time he see's Nya pinning Kai down, and she asks for help in order to destroy her annoying brother, and he decides... he may as well join if he's going to be dragged in anyways.

He has never heard of the tickle monster bit before, and thinks it's so stupid it's funny. He attaches onto it, and instead animates life into inanimate objects. Like feathers! He gives them silly names.

"Uh oh! You better tell Mrs. Fluffy to get away, she's getting really close to your stomach..."

Hypocritically, he can't handle when people pretend to turn into a tickle monster. Koko does that a lot believe or not.

Master Wu has poked him before when correcting his fighting stance, and pretends to be none the wiser.

He's a dork, I love him so much.

ok ok ok so what if Nya was suppose to be the master of fire, now here me out.

She's stubborn like fire she has to be doing something, fire doesn't stay still, never will it stop it must consume to live. and It will burn whatever touches it. she's a protector, when she got caught by the Serpentine she trying to get Lloyd back (probably).

She was going to be the next master of fire. Fire wanted to go to her, and water was going to be Kai's. But then Maya and Ray got kidnapped, they got kidnapped and didn't want Krux and Acronix having the use of their powers so they talked, they talked and decided to give their power, will them, to their children.

Now they didn't know where the powers were suppose to go they didn't know Water was supposed to be Kai's and Fire Nya's. so they chose, fire's more destructive so they choose to give it to Kai, he's older it may turn out better.

Thus Kai get's fire and Nya water, but Kai was suppose to get Water, that's why he's so quick to change from the head of the house taking care of his sister, to her annoying brother who plays with his friends, to the protector of the Green Ninja, to Lloyd's big brother, to his team mate.

He keeps changes like WATER.

the reason it's so hard for him/her to unlock his/her ability is because it's not HIS/HERS.

It's their siblings.

but since they got the other element, they've been changes to adapt to the element, Kai's temper (like Nyas), Nya leaning to let things go. ect

how do we feel about it??

(spoilers ahead. don't mind me yapping HAHA)

tldr: s2 is goated, watch it!!!

personally i found it really fun but my slow brain couldn't handle the pacing (it was a little too fast for me to process, lol) but overall i really loved a lot about it like the animation, the soundtrack, the voices, the writing, and everything :0 it lowkey gave me sons of garmadon vibes (which is a good thing, cuz i loved that season)

honestly i'd give it an 8/10, cuz i like it a bit more than season 1 and we got to see some character development. honestly the only thing that threw me off was the random mech transformations especially with cole bc i feel like he doesn't need the mech? like he got the rock monster ability which wouldve been cool to use instead of his mech😭 but lego gotta get that bread ig!! edit: nvm i think cole needed a bunch of earth around him to use that ability so ig it makes sense why he would have to use his mech😭 also i wish we knew what cole's journey was like when he followed wu's spirit!! maybe we'll know soon?

i loved seeing more of kai and wyldfire and lloyd and arin. seeing arin frustrated hurt a lot because my poor boy was so overwhelmed and stressed😭 like that's so sad, it kinda feels like how lloyd had to become the green ninja and defeat his dad and the overlord lol. in this case, arin had to learn the rising dragon technique (but couldn't even do a proper spinjitzu) and stop the wolf gang, plus he wanted to find his parents and felt like he let everyone down :(

then lloyd getting visions was awesome, i loved taht they added it. it just adds to the chaos of the season and we got to see lloyd's struggles as becoming a master

then there's uh. some "lostshipping" scenes?. honestly i ship them so hard but i tried to think like a normal person lol. i think they're touchy and close because they think of each other as family. but i honestly can't get over the scene where geo has a flashback to cole holding his hand and cole looking at him lovingly😭😭 LIKE WHOA THERE BUDDY, SLOW DOWN!!!!

ALSO COLE TURNING INTO A DOG WASTHE BEST THING EVER I SQUEEALLLED HE WAS SO CUTE ARHHGHGH ARGHGHH!!!! COLE FOREVER!!!💗💗💗 AND HIM SAYING "i am always adorable!" MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD AHAHAH HE'S AWAREE ABT HOW CUTE HE IS I LOVE HIM SMMMM RAHHHHHHH!!!!!1!1!

also kai got locked with bonzle forever :( thats so sad but kai got optimistic and said the iconic "ninja never quit!!" line which made me happy. but he didn't get to see cole 😭🙏 and jay didn't even reunite with any of the ninja LOL

the ending was so sad and im kinda sad we didn't see enough abt jay but hopefully we will in part 2🙏🙏 man season 2 made me go thru a ton of emotions and honestly i think the hype was deserved :D

After all those years of pretending to be "just friends", Kai and Jay finally accepted and confessed their real feelings for each other. This cute couple got married a few months ago. Thankfully, they had their honeymoon little trip in peace: no attacks, no battles, no bad guys. Just a married couple having fun in their honeymoon and loving each other.

After returning to the monastery, Jay decided to rent Cliff's mansion. With the money he already had from his biological father and with the money he earned from renting the mansion, he built another house. Of course he and Kai had their own room in the monastery but they wanted another place just for the two of them. They wanted a house where they would be completely alone so that they could just relax, get away from the rest of the world and do their couple stuff in peace. This small and comfortable house became their secret little place to spend time alone without interruptions.

The house had an amazing view and Lloyd (the only one who knew it's location), really liked visiting Kai and Jay just to admire the lake and the forest. Last night, he came to visit them once again. Lloyd's mind was full of so many things and his thoughts were troubled. He needed someone to talk to and who's better than his older brothers? When he arrived with tears in his eyes, Kai and Jay immediately took him in their arms. They gave him comfort (just like they used to do when younger Lloyd was scared of lightning), they made dinner for him and they allowed him to sleep in their guest room. It was mostly Lloyd's room anyway, because the green ninja was the only visitor since no one else knew the house's location.

Lloyd woke up too early the next day. It was still dark outside but he couldn't sleep anymore so he went in the balcony to let the majestic view give peace in his soul. Jay is usually a heavy sleeper and he doesn't wake up until late in the morning. This time though he woke up a few minutes after Lloyd. He somehow felt that the kid was awake already. He found the blond guy in the balcony, he went closer to him and he took a lock of hair behind Lloyd's ear as he spoke:

"What's troubling your thoughts again, dear?"

Jay always called Lloyd "dear" since he was a child. He still saw him as a little kid although he wasn't a baby anymore.

"Nothing" Lloyd lied.

"Okay, i won't push you but I'm here if you want to tell me something more than what you said yesterday. And so is Kai. We are here for you dear"

Lloyd couldn't resist, he just fell right on Jay's arms. Jay didn't hesitate at all to hug him back (he is a little shorter than Lloyd so he had to stretch a little to be able to hug him comfortably)

"Come here, I've got you"

"Thanks"

The kid was holding back tears at this point. He would have let himself cry if Kai hadn't join them, taking both of them in his own arms.

"What are my boys doing here, in the cold?"

"Lloyd is a little... Off again" Jay answered.

"Don't worry about it, it's nothing important. I must be a little affected from our talk yesterday, that's all"

Lloyd felt the need to lie in order to prevent his friends from worrying about him too much. He just wanted to protect them but the couple knew him too well to fall for it. They kinda raised him after all.

"Everything's important to us when it comes to you"

Kai kissed Lloyd's forehead and the blond guy laughed while he was trying to hide his embarrassment.

"Ew, Kai! Kiss your husband, not me!"

"I can kiss you both" he said and he surprised Jay with a smooch on the lips.

"Kai!" Jay laughs too.

"Ew! That's gross!" said the youngest.

"Why? Can't i show love to my family? It's my son and my husband that I'm holding in my arms right now, after all"

"Wait- You said... S-son?" Lloyd had to admit that he was shocked.

"Yes dear. You are like our son now. We might not be your biological parents but it doesn't matter. We love you and we care about you. So, yeah, you are adopted now, that's it"

"Jay is right. You are our son, we are your dads. That's how it is. Accept it"

The youngest boy couldn't be happier as he hugged both of his dads as tight as he could.

"By the way..." Kai said.

"I made hot chocolate for both of you so... You better drink it before it gets cold"

so when its time for the ninja (and skylor) to eventually pass on their powers what would each of them choose to do pass it through bloodlines or give it to a new family and what would lloyd do depending on the situation would he just have to get lucky that one of his kids or grandkids is able to inherit the green element and gold essence

Jay and Nya's powers both get passed through bloodlines

Zane gives his up willingly, as was done for him. Whether to a "descendant" of his/Pixal's or an unrelated someone else entirely I'm keeping the door open on (but either way hopefully it's not through another sacrifice, though that would be very on brand for Zane)

On the fence about Kai and Skylor, but I think it'd be interesting if one passed through bloodlines while the other gave it up willingly. Just haven't decided which for what ahaha

If we're going with the 'Cam Route', then Cole gives his powers up willingly

And also if Cam is in play, then we know what happens with Jesse. Otherwise, Jesse would keep his powers til he dies

Lloyd...is complicated, because not only is it near impossible to have his Element/Essence pass on even if he did have kids/grandkids (nor can he just slap it onto just anyone without, like, blowing them up), but he also really doesn't want to wish a similar fate that he went through onto anyone (even if the Overlord is no longer an issue at that point in time). Honestly it's very likely he could "die" with the Element just like his grandfather did (...as things stand now, anyway).

How many people at school or in general tried to befriend hellspawn just so they could get to meet the ninja or have the ability to boast about being connected to them through hellspawn? Cause, like, there is no way this won't ever happen.

A lot, unfortunately.

They'd ask all sorts of questions like what the inside of the monastery looks like and whether she can teach them Spinjitzu. (Well she can't. Blame Lloyd for saying she's too young for anything) Cue them later asking what the ninja are really like and whether Kai's hair is actually real. Does Zane need to be charged before battle? Is Nya still with Jay? What does Cole do in his spare time? Why are Lloyd's eyebrows suddenly so different? Is Wu really that old? Are they allowed to come to the monastery?

You'd think getting that amount of attention and interest would be fun for someone that young but it's the opposite actually. It's great at first but starts sucking after a while. No one really cares to ask her about her after she told them she doesn't have Lloyd's powers or anything like that. A conversation with those kids almost always involves someone asking something about her dad or Uncle Zane or Uncle Jay and she gets bored. Speaking of which, what's so interesting about her dad, anyway? He picks his nose, he burns tea—

And then there's this boy who basically worships Kai and all hellspawn's thinking in her head is the last time there was a fire in the courtyard and her Aunt Ni looked like she wanted to murder someone. He says he really wants to meet Kai someday cuz he's cool, and definitely should've been the Green Ninja instead of Lloyd who barely deserved it. As soon as hellspawn heard that she was like: what did u say.

To spare you the details, she got into some *cough* minor trouble — which Lloyd freaked out at because when he was at Darkley's, he was the one being hit and the last thing he wants is for her to end up like one of Gene's goons at the age of only fIVE.

So naturally, he spent at least twenty minutes giving her a whole lecture about why she should never hit others and how wrong it is, causing her to sulk and tell him what the heck happened.

Silence.

Lloyd: He's right.

Hellspawn, blinks: What?

Lloyd: Kai should've been the Green Ninja.

Hellspawn: But—

Lloyd, shrugs: Well he trained, he worked hard — he wanted it a lot more than anyone. I was just some dumb kid that ended up with it. *forces a smile* Destiny's weird, don't you think?

Later, she finds Kai who's in the middle of sharpening his sword and asks him about it.

Hellspawn bites her lip: Do you still wish it was you?

Uncle Kai, stares at her incredulously: Of course. I could've FIXED Lloyd's whole life—

after chatting about this w @shadesofvermillionvoid for a while we came to something

we dont think that theres like.. an exact moment something in him clicks and he gets won over by the main group. it kind of happens as he stays with them.

so his powers are being blocked out, which means hes really weak, even having some trouble walking. the group always has someone watching him, he was their number one enemy after all, but he has no real way to attack or escape.

he slowly starts feeling.. safe? around kai and zane, who are nothing but nice to him despite everything. and help him get a different view on some of the things he doesn't understand.. like family. like why harumi would betray him, like how his life is nothing close to normality... and so on

he's still acting all snarky and evil around them, but those walls hes been putting up kind of crumble as he realizes that these people are different from anything he's ever seen

the others slowly warm up to him too, but kai and zane kind of guide them to it too. kai because.. he relates to lloyd/gb quite a lot. the 'green bandit' is what he could've become if he'd never turned good, an exagerrated version of kai. and zane because he's been undercover into the bandit's gang, he's seen his lows and his highs like no-one else has(if you dont count harumi). he knows this is someone with a troubled past and someone who is disconnected from reality. and he wants to help as much as he can, because lloyd is still just a kid, he has the chance to turn things around, despite everything he's done. just like kai.

(and.. kai feels bad for unnowingly using lloyd's power as a battery and performance enhancer when he was a villain..ill talk about that more in another post if anyone is interested hopefully)

so yeah, it's not a huge dramatic moment, it's something more gradual. we had some fun ideas of zane teaching lloyd how to cook and kai giving him some pen and paper to draw on.. just to let out his feelings into a less 'violent outburst'-y way.

still, lloyd has a complicated relationship with emotions.. keep in mind that he's still gb, the 'green bandit' at this point. he doesn't even remember his own real name. they all just call him "gb", although kai and zane know his name is lloyd.

gb's emotional walls may be being torn down slowly, but he's also got a record of being an exceptionally good liar. so, in the main group's eyes, they never really know if he trusts them or not until the final battle, where he makes a sacrifice to save them and the rest of ninjago.

and after that... well it's only uphill from there!

How does Kai unlock his true potential here? Same with Morro and the other ninja.

first of all: sorry it took so long, i have no explenation for this. and second: this question made me THINK too hard

okay so, for zane, jay, cole and nya it's the same. mostly because there's not much to do around this. it was all about what was happening inside of them and didn't depend on other characters or specific situation (expect from jay, but in this au he and nya are couple so nothing changes)

for kai it's a little complicated as originally he unlocked his true potential when he realized it is not his destiny to be a green ninja. well, here it's not a secret that sensei wu knows who is a green ninja and that the green ninja is not a part of team. the only problem is that he don't want to share it because yeah, his students would just stalk him and force to this (what actually happened thanks to morro). i think he would feel insufficient if someone else, who also doesn't want their destiny, has what he wanted. he was going from "i'm not doing enough" to "i'm trying too hard" whole the time. he finally made it when he realized that, indeed he is special just as he is. he is enough and that life doesn't give us what we want but what we need. like, sorry but he learned to love himself in a healthy way and i don't care if it's out of character.

baby dragon morro aka a little piece of shit (i love him with so much hate). he actually has the same problem as kai, but not around being a green ninja. he also feels not enough. he wants his father (wu) to be proud of him. of course, he was smarter then the rest of the team knowing that not a single person deserves a destiny that makes you fight with your own parent, but he also is fsm grandchild, and he's nothing more then a wind master. he's nothing special unlike lloyd. that changes and he understands he just thought shit about himself, when wu tells him directly, for the first time, that he's proud of him and couldn't ask for a better child then morro. let them have cute and emotional father and son moment!

and lloyd? he didn't unlock his true potential at all. he can't accept that it's his destiny. he only wants a calm life with his boyfriend and friends, normal job and actually leave this cursed place named ninjago city. over time he accepts it, but not as "i was made for this. it's my destiny." but more like "i'll do it only because i have to." rejecting his destiny is what makes him unable to unlock his true potential.

He's loving, delusional, and reckless like Jay, wanting to be fully dedicated to his darling.

He's overprotective and caring like Cole, sometimes bordering on jealousy.

Lastly, he's naive and obsessive like Zane.

Lloyd learned these traits from the ninja but puts his own spin on them based on his past.

Overall, Lloyd is Passionate, Delusional, Loving/Caring, Reckless, Overprotective, Obsessive, Naive, and Manipulative.

A small HC is the ninja are somewhat yanderes just it's hidden and they ended up accidentally convincing Lloyd that this is normal.

Lloyd really does need someone to rely on.

At a young age he was trained into being the Green Ninja.

Not only that... but he had to fight his own father multiple times.

That can cause him to have trouble with relationships.

As a result, when Lloyd eventually falls for you, he asks the others for help.

Who else does he have to help now, really?

Wu and Nya try to give him advice that would actually be... well... normal?

The usual things, befriend you, treat you with respect, don't rush things.

The ninja undo all of that.

Which leads into his mixed bag of yandere behavior.

Lloyd starts very childish with his attraction.

He gets shy and nervous when he sees you/speaks of you.

He stutters over his words and looks at you with lovestruck eyes.

He becomes head-over-heels for his darling.

Look at him, the Green Ninja himself, a grown adult yet such a nervous teenager when it comes to romance.

He has only ever had this feeling like maybe twice, even so it's never worked out.

He's determined to make a relationship with you, however.

Lloyd starts off trying to be passionate.

Passionate to the point it feels like he's burning you with fire.

He awkwardly stumbles over his words, attempting to flirt or impress you.

It's a bit funny to you at first, the Green Ninja cursing under his breath as he desperately tries to tell you, quote, "You look nice today...?"

He's trying so hard.

Honestly, his attempts at trying to date you are cute and funny at first.

Until it gets overbearing.

It's every. day. with his attempted flirting.

You have to politely tell him to relax.

Lloyd is delusional with his obsession.

He's convinced that you must like him more than a friend.

He thinks you're the best chance he's got for a partner and is dedicated.

Lloyd often talks to himself alone about you, gushing about his crush obsessively to himself and how he's convinced you're meant to be.

Even when you do something as small as care for him when thoughts of his past come up, he takes it as you loving him.

Just friends doesn't register in his mind entirely.

Blame Jay for that.

Lloyd is very loving and caring towards you despite the rest of his obsession being too intense.

He cares deeply for his darling and only wants to give them the purest affection.

Part of it is because he never got such affection all the time, so he wants you to feel special...

You are incredibly special to him.

Lloyd likes to listen to his darling talk and loves to give physical affection.

He's a big one for hand holding and hugs... until you start dating then he loves to pepper you in small kisses and bury his head into your neck.

Lloyd tends to be reckless and self-destructive with his love.

Sometimes he uses this to his advantage, dragging you beside him to solidify the bond between you in the papers.

Many may think you're dating way before he actually makes it official.

It pressures you to accept his advances in a way.

This makes him manipulative.

Lloyd may not mean to be so manipulative and forceful, but it doesn't excuse anything.

He's just thinking back on the advice the ninja gave...

He's also driven by a desperate craving for affection from you...

Lloyd is very touch starved and yearns for someone to satiate his obsession... unfortunately it happens to be you.

Lloyd often clings to you, not liking the idea of leaving you.

Lloyd is naive... hence, the ninja influencing his obsession.

He just assumes obsessing over his romantic partner is normal.

It's not and it would take a lot of convincing for you to get him to calm down.

Can't guarantee he'll get better, either....

Lloyd isn't really violent.

He gets jealous but it's like... pouty childish jealous?

He'd have a temper but not try to beat anyone up, essentially.

Kidnapping... debatable.

Lloyd knows it's wrong.

He wants you to love him willingly, even if he does use manipulation.

He'd try to avoid the idea of kidnapping for the most part.

He'd do anything to hear you say you love him... he just wants to refuse anything involving shackles.

Overall, Lloyd is a yandere that has a lot going on and wants someone to rely and dote on.

He'd do anything to protect you, care for you, and love you... he wants it to be only you and him... nothing else.
