After my jewelry went viral years ago my parents were worried about my identity getting stolen (since my name was associated with it) so I reluctantly got identity theft insurance once. I've never ever had to buy it again because every couple of years my identity gets stolen in some mass hack and they buy me protection anyway.
So yeah, my identity is protected for another two years... yaaaaay

September 14 2022 Matthew Tkachuk takes the mound at loanDepot Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Miami Marlins.
The Florida Panthers forward threw out the first pitch at the Miami Marlins game against the Texas Ranger at LoanDepot Park.
"I used to play baseball, but I have no first pitch or pitching background at all," Tkachuk said in a video posted by the Panthers on Twitter. "I was never the guy that I don't think was good enough to pitch. I was more on the hitting side, so I'll try to throw a strike, try to get it over the plate."
The Marlins gifted Tkachuk with a custom jersey featuring his No. 19 on the back, which he wore all night. Tkachuk also got to talk to Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez about his pregame routine and Marlins catcher Jacob Stallings about his throwing strategy.
The most exciting part of Tkachuk's night was when he got to meet Marlins manager Don Mattingly.
"My dad was from Boston, big Red Sox fan growing up," Tkachuk told Mattingly. "He's going to love that I'm meeting you right now."

I'm ... 🤯!!!
And then came Thursday afternoon at Miami’s loanDepot park, where Ohtani did not just achieve the inevitable, but did so with the Greatest Single-Game Performance in MLB History.
Whoa, that’s quite a claim, I know.
But let’s be like Ohtani.
Let’s think big ...

"In an otherworldly game in which he went 6-for-6 and set career highs with three homers and 10 RBIs, Ohtani proved he’s in a class of his own once again in the Dodgers' 20-4 rout of the Marlins at loanDepot park, becoming the first player to hit 50 or more homers and steal 50 or more bases in a single season in Major League history. The 10 RBIs in a single game are a Dodgers franchise record and helped Los Angeles secure its 12th straight postseason berth."

BASEBALL PRIMER: The League
Here is the tag where you can find all the posts.
In this post we'll be talking about the league itself and how it's structured. It's pretty simple as far as leagues go, but I've also grown up with it structured like this, so I think it's still a great idea to cover it.
MLB is split up into two 'leagues': the American League (AL), and the National League (NL). Each league is split up into divisions. I would say you could think of them as conferences, but I don't think even that is right, because you can have two teams in the same region of the US in a different league. Currently, both leagues have an equal number of teams at fifteen each.
We'll start with the National League below the cut.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
The NL was established in 1876 and is sometimes called the "Senior Circuit". It originally started with eight chartered teams, and some of them are still around today: Chicago White Stockings (not to be confused with the CHICAGO WHITE SOX; this team became to be known as the CHICAGO CUBS), Boston Red Stockings (not to be confused with the BOSTON RED SOXS; the original Boston Red Stockings became the BOSTON BRAVES, then the MILWAUKEE BRAVES, and are now known today as ATLANTA BRAVES). However, this was at the very beginning of the leagues creation, and so teams came and went, but there are still some teams who have survived 100 and some odd years later: Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Dodgers (originally Brooklyn Dodgers), Pittsburgh Pirates, and the St Louis Cardinals.
Now, the league is split into three divisions. I will be indicating which year they were brought into the league, and their stadium.
National League East
Atlanta Braves - 1871, moved to ATL in 1966 - Truist Park
Miami Marlins - 1993 - LoanDepot Park
New York Mets - 1962 - Citi Field
Philadelphia Phillies - 1883 - Citizens Bank Park
Washington Nationals - 1969 - Nationals Park
National League Central
St Louis Cardinals - 1892 - Busch Stadium
Chicago Cubs - 1903 - Wrigley Field
Cincinnati Reds - 1890 - Great American Ballpark
Pittsburgh Pirates - 1891 - PNC Park
Milwaukee Brewers - 1969 - American Family Field
National League West
San Francisco Giants - 1958 - Oracle Park
Los Angeles Dodgers - 1958 - Dodger Stadium
Colorado Rockies - 1993 - Coors Field
Arizona Diamondbacks - 1998 - Chase Field
San Diego Padres - 1969 - Petco Park
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Established 25 years later and referred to as the "Junior Circuit". For a long time, and even still kind've today, the AL has had slightly different rules than the NL. For example, up until a couple of years ago, the AL was the only league to sanction a permanent DH. In the NL, pitchers were still allowed to hit and did more often than not. But the NL ended up adopting the ALs rule, and now they're even again. The AL also has some historic teams as well, and because the NYY are a part of their league, the AL has the most World Series wins.
The AL is divided up similarly as the NL.
American League East
Baltimore Orioles - 1954 - Oriole Park at Camden Yards
Boston Red Sox - 1901 - Fenway Park
New York Yankees - 1903 - Yankee Stadium
Tampa Bay Rays - 1998 - Tropicana Field
Toronto Blue Jays - 1977 - Rogers Centre
American League Central
Chicago White Sox - 1900 - Guaranteed Rate Field
Cleveland Guardians - 1900 - Progressive Field
Detroit Tigers - 1901 - Comerica Park
Kansas City Royals - 1969 - Kauffman Stadium
Minnesota Twins - 1961 - Target Field
American League West
Houston Astros - 1962 - Minute Maid Park
Los Angeles Angels - 1966 - Angel Stadium
Texas Rangers - 1972 - Globe Life Field
Oakland Athletics - 1968 - Oakland Coliseum
Seattle Mariners - 1977 - T-Mobile Park

Business Loans In California
Aspirations of California. The 18th-century gold rush was the beginning of everything. The goal of becoming an entrepreneur is achieved. Is there a better opportunity to make money? In addition, California will permit you to obtain business loans. When you think of innovation, California comes to mind without a doubt. Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Jose, just outside Silicon Valley, are home to some of the most innovative technology, often beyond our wildest expectations. When you think of Los Angeles, you think of Hollywood. Despite not being as well-known for its entrepreneurial spirit as its high-tech cousins to the north, San Diego in southern California has its share of success stories.

Feeling sort of like trea turner is a feral rescue kitten the phillies fans have successfully started socializing to their team by sticking their hands in his enclosure and giving him treats after games on this night (yes I know he's an adult man getting paid millions but I cant help feeling things about the phillies)

In all seriousness, though: the Narratives™... man. Career-low year coming off an MVP-worthy World Baseball Classic campaign. Rough start, getting rained with boos, a brief uptick in performance before going back into a brutal slump again, culminating in the nadir that was the Miami game colossal fuck up in the extra innings. The post-game interview, looking lost and broken and on the verge of tears, staying in the batting cages until midnight...
And then Philadelphia welcomed him home with a standing O and a donation drive, we’ve got your back, we know you’re trying, and Trea answered the very next game with a go-ahead home run, and has continued to be in fine form since. And the clubhouse’s unwavering suppport through it all... going to be a little weepy again about it:
Before Trea Turner heard the coordinated cheers and saw people standing for him, it was quiet. It was 27 days ago. His season had reached its lowest point, so he went to the batting cage. He swung until midnight, with few interruptions, because no one would tell him how to do this. Turner listened to advice from every corner of his professional and personal life. There is no handbook on how to escape a career-worst spiral. Nick Castellanos had showered and dressed that night at loanDepot Park in Miami. He headed for the exit when he realized Turner was still in the cage. “You’re one of the best players in the world, don’t forget it!” Castellanos yelled.
Trea Turner’s revival: Over 26 days, Phillies star has emphatically swung his season (Matt Gelb/The Athletic)
