sas soap x secretly an mi6 agent ghost. Hear me out

one of the lucky times that soap is home for leave and ghost isn’t “busy with work”, they end up going to a gun range for a date. a little unconventional, but they both think it’d be fun.

now, obviously soap is a good shot. after all, he uses guns for a living, is a trained sniper—so maybe he’s hoping he can impress his boyfriend, who says he’s never been to a gun range before.

except… ghost also knows how to handle a gun. and unthinking, he takes his turn shooting with equal precision and skill before turning back and seeing soap’s frown and just thinking… oops. then utters out the shittiest “first-timer’s luck” excuse to soap who is clearly not at all buying it.

but they’re here together anyway, one of the rare times they get to be, so whatever. they’ll move past it for now. it can be dealt with at a later date.

like when soap is chosen for a very secret, very high-up operation that involves working with members of the mi6—a team that ghost also happens to be a part of.

like I said, this au is cantered around three sets of siblings.

first, we have Saint and Inv. They aren’t biologically related, but they were both made by the same Iterator, which is close enough.

Monk and Survivor are Gourmand’s two kids in this au, and are the only semi normal people in this group.

Hunter and Artificer are twin messengers made by NSH, and are biologically related to each other.

(was drafting this literally seconds before u posted the fade prison image lmaooo) but i was wondering if u have any thoughts locked and loaded about what specific main plot events affected scipio in a lasting personal way vs what he's able to compartmentalize and brush off after the fact, if that makes sense. i think you've made a really well thought out and engaging character and it makes me want to prep a microscope slide for him.

Viago saving Rook's neck, right? RIGHT?? Viago clearly cares for Rook like, a ridiculous, uncharacteristic amount. We know the Crows kill each other for offences like fucking up a contract, going completely awol and ruining months of work on a bigger plan. We also know that Viago is all about status and climbing the Crow ladder, but he risks his own reputation to get Rook off the hook. In conclusion; Viago is the only crow in Treviso who's loyal to Rook over everything else and actually cares if he lives or dies. And Rook just betrayed him because he wanted to get excommunicated because hE wAsN't hAvInG a GoOd tImE anymore. He carries that guilt with him for a long time. I think this would've been in Rook's regret prison, ngl.

Encountering Blight and darkspawn for the first time as well as the entire Weisshaupt mission put Rook in such a state of raw fear he could hear colors for a hot minute. He's been riding that high ever since :'DD Most memorable main quest to me too as a player, 10/10.

Blood of Arlathan had some of the most bone chilling moments in the entire franchise imo; the Venatori acting exactly in a way that people in cults act like. Reminded me of public executions from history, even lynchings. I'm straight up mirroring my own feelings here, but I genuinely felt kinda sick to my stomach during that quest and I was NOT expecting any of it. It stuck with me, so now I'm saying it stuck with my Rook.

That's some of what's been on my mind after 2 playthroughs :D PS. LOVE your url!!!!!

DIALECTICS

Examine verbal landscapes. Get to the truth of the matter.

Dialetics urges you to look beyond the basics of conversation. It encourages you to discuss theories, truths and falsehoods, until you exhaust everyone around you with your sheer affinity for taking the most convoluted routes to your deductions—but, hey, it works! Those people are only *really* annoyed because you very accurately psychoanalyzed them.

At high levels, Dialectics will help you reason with even the most convoluted of situations. You will be an unstoppable detective, who may occasionally suffer from some unintended side effects such as: your brain and mouth moving too fast, overcomplicating little things, becoming an insufferable jerk, and joining your local debate team. With low levels of Dialectics, you’re going to have a difficult time seeing through both worldly and interpersonal deceptions. You may find yourself being taken advantage of. 

EVOCATION

Recall emotions and imagery. Paint complete pictures of the past. 

Cool for: Visualizers, Chronic Observers, Witnesses Of Crimes

Evocation allows you to call forth memories that may otherwise be lost in the recesses of your mind. Previous instances of sound, touch, taste, feeling, sight—all of these are at your beck and call: able to be summoned within and around you in a great miasma of experience. You will be able to relive important events, even those that were only mere seconds, and examine them closer to reveal what you couldn’t comprehend in the moment. 

At high levels, Evocation will help you reimagine scenes that may have happened years ago, lasted the length of a blink—or, perhaps, even allow you to picture memories that you were not present for. You will find yourself constantly transported to the past: a single whiff of a familiar perfume enough to completely derail your senses. With low levels of Evocation, you’re going to have a hard time remembering simple conversations and potentially important visual details. You will have to rely on others in such scenarios. 

BODY OF LAWS

Know your rights. Remember fun courtroom trivia. 

Cool for: Lawyers, Law-Evaders, Stick-In-The-Muds

Body Of Laws is responsible for your ability to follow the law at any given time—or don’t! Just because you know the rules doesn’t mean you have to play by them. Regardless, it certainly allows you to recall a, frankly, embarrassing amount of your government’s regulations, and may encourage you to ‘stay in your lane’, so to speak, regarding them. Governments aren’t the only entities that enact rules, though: you will also find yourself privy to understanding unspoken boundaries set by people, nature, and even your subconscious self.

At high levels, Body Of Laws will either make you an *extremely* insufferable goody-two-shoes, or a *wildly* effective cheat-of-the-system. You may end up feeling suffocated by all these restrictions you can so clearly see, causing you to become complicit with the movings of the machine—or potentially apathetic to why we need some of these restrictions in the first place. With low levels of Body Of Laws, you may find yourself accidentally violating boundaries you didn’t know existed—whether they be legal, personal, or cultural.
