~Definitely loves the hard to get type (not PLAYING hard to get but she just literally is hard to get).

~I could kind of see two different types of girls for Baji so Imma split this one:

TYPE 1:

~ PATIENT...as a mf! Like, she is not out here getting pissed about every little thing. It takes her a lot of pushing before she'd ever get as mad as Baji does about certain things.

~ She's soft spoken (not necessarily like a meek voice but just calm) yet confident, and has no problem correcting or telling anyone off, she's just not going about it like Baji.

~Very compassionate and values family (this goes for type 2 as well). Baji cares DEEPLY for his mom so naturally I feel like he'd gravitate towards a family girl.

~Definitely loves animals for sure. Like just any animal she's cool with, and they're cool with her. (Them adventurous type girls that'll ride elephants and like...idk touch a shark lol. That ain't me chile)

~I could lowkey see that like chill sense of style for her too. Like not nothing fancy with Ran but more everyday/cute casual wear.

~I think Baji would like (in either type) a locs goddess type of girl. Like something about a girl with locs for my boy Keisuke....he's sat 🧎🏻.

TYPE 2:

~ ZERO PATIENCE....like none. If she's set off all hell is breakin' lose chile. It's every natural disaster happening at the same time if someone makes them BOTH mad (just run...).

Monkey king was running hastily down a cave system dodging and weaving ever rock and crystal desperately trying to find a shadow monkey.

He felt as if he would pass out from exhaustion….or maybe it’s stress? He couldn’t really tell at this point and he quite frankly didn’t care.

He stopped to look around the area he was in not instantly noticing any direction Macaque could have gone.

He swore that he saw him. It had to be him.

But maybe he just saw some other monkey earlier.

Yeah, as if there was another celestial monkey just chilling around here.

Either it was a hallucination or the most special person that was in his life was alive.

He’s been running after this shadow damn near a hour now. And usually he’d never get tired this fast but he felt drained me

He felt as if he should give up at this point. It isn’t like he hasn’t though he saw Macaque before….

It’s just that he seems so real. Almost too real.

He glanced to his left spotting a small pathway. He sighed deeply and made his way over and went through.

He walked for a couple minutes before entering a pretty nice open space.

The whole place was illuminated with gems and crystals sprouting out of the floor.

He walked around them talking one last look around and took a quick turn back around to make his way out back.

He froze when he heard a small tap on the floor.

He instantly turned back around and ran toward the noises direction.

He put his hand firmly on a decent sized crystal and leaned forward, freezing in shock.

There he was. Macaque. He was staring directly at him with a pained expression.

Wukong felt as if the wind was knocked out of him and shoved right back in his throat.

He slowly came from behind the crystal and took one single step.

Macaque tensed at the movement and took a big swallow and shuffled back a bit.

Wukong kept opening his mouth but he couldn’t find words to say.

What are you supposed to say when you see your supposed to be dead best friend?

His breath was slightly uneven and he took one more step feeling his hand shake.

Macaque eyes glared at him as if he done something wrong.

“I know what you’re gonna say Wukong.”

Wukong froze hearing his low voice. He hasn’t heard it in so long. He’s really here.

He’s only twenty feet away from him but it felt like thousands.

“How long…” was the only words Wukong could get out before his throat closed. It felt like someone was squeezing his throat and shoving sand into it.

“Awhile…” Macaque said firmly crossing his arms close to his chest.

“How long awhile….?” Wukong voice shook slightly.

“Longer then a month I guess…” Wukong felt like he’d been stabbed in the gut.

“I know what you’re gonna say Wukong. How could I have done this?” Macaque looked away from him his bodily noticeably shaking, tail slightly twitching.

Macaque let out a scoff “Staying away and not telling you I’m alive after all this time?”

Wukong couldn’t help but just stare at him in awe. Even after all that even death couldn’t take away how beautiful he looked. He looks so different but looked the same somehow.

“Once I came back why did it I go back to you? To the mountain? Is that what you wanna ask?” Macaque’s brows were furrowed as he stared him in his eyes.

Wukong placed a foot forward.

“Well, after all this time I’ve been dead how would you have even reacted!? Last time we spoke we almost killed each other! What did you expect me to do huh!?” Macaque shouted throwing his hands in the air teeth looking as sharp as ever.

“I don’t even know why I’m even trying to explain myself to you!? You’ve always been so selfish and the biggest idiot I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting!!” Macaque cried out glaring at him as he took another two steps forward.

Macaque breathed heavily looking up at the ceiling of the cave.

“I know that maybe I should’ve seen you sooner and tried to mend things with you again.”

Wukong mouth was extremely dry right now. He seriously needed water or something cause it’s painful.

“But I thought you’d be better off without me.” Macaque laughed pitifully putting a hand to his chest clenching around the fabric.

“And maybe that was wrong. And I guess I can see that now but-” Macaque backed away from Wukong who was getting so close that he could almost touch him.

Wukong wanted to touch him so bad. He wanted to hold him so extremely bad at the moment. He hated seeing him like this.

Can’t say he was any different either.

“Oh my gods Wukong!!” Macaque couldn’t back up anymore but just glare at him.

“Stop being so silent!! Go on! Shout! Scream! Say something dammit!?” Macaque’s eyes were welling up with tears begging to fall.

Wukong felt his eyes water as he lifted a hand and put it gently on Macaque’s cheek.

Macaque mouth quivers and gasps slightly at the touch and try’s everything in him to not lean into it.

Macaque eyes are wide in surprise and Wukong who had tears fall down from his face.

“You’re as beautiful as the day I lost you.” Wukong whispered softly a sad smile spreading across his face.

Tears feel down Macaque’s face as he mouth was slightly open in shock eyes still widen at the soft sweet words.

Macaque leaned into his hand as Wukong stroked his thumb lightly.

Wukong couldn’t care less anymore and jumped at Macaque wrapping one arm across his shoulder burrowing his face into his shoulder and the other at his upper back.

Wukong hasn’t felt so vulnerable on his life and he doesn’t care.

Macaque finally wrapped his arms around Wukong shoving his face into his neck taking a shaky breath.

Macaque pulled back holding wukong face in his hand.

“I probably should’ve came to you sooner.” He whispered.

“Yeah. You should have you asshole.” Wukong glared with tears still falling and smile twice as wide.

Macaque rolled his eyes wiping the tears out of Wukong’s eyes.

“I’m sorry.” Macaque spoke quietly.

“I’m sorry too Macaque.” Wukong held Macaque’s jaw pulling his face closer placing his forehead on his.

They both closed their eyes taking each others prescience in.

Macaque pulled slightly away daring into Wukong’s eyes with a new warmth in them.

“God I missed you so much.” Macaque let out a choked out snicker.

“I mean who wouldn’t?” Wukong teased slightly.

“Ah. And somehow you’ve made me hate you even more.” Macaque glared with no heat behind it.

“It’s a gift.” Wukong shrugged with a smug grin.

Macaque smirked shaking his head. “Still the comedian I see.” He stared fondly.

Wukong face hurt from crying and smiling so much.

They just stared at each other with nothing but love in their eyes. Macaque was the first to lean in before Wukong instantly got the message leaning into a kiss.

Wukong couldn’t help but smile the moment he felt Macaque let out his own smile into the kiss.

It was weird. Not the kiss though- the kiss was amazing and extremely passionate. Tingly feelings and all. But it was weird to kiss him.

No wukong couldn’t help when his hands trembled.

Macaque pressing a kiss on the corner of his mouth and back on his mouth held his hands tightly to keep him grounded.

They tilted their heads to deepen it feeling so free and happy. They haven’t felt like this in a long time.

Macaque softly backed away smiling at him with nothing but love.

“I definitely missed those.” Wukong wiggled his eyebrows.

Macaque couldn’t help but chuckle at that kissing Wukong’s cheek wrapping his tail gently around Wukong’s embracing him again.

Wukong sighed contently resting his body into Macaque’s as Macaque did to him.

“Hope you know I’m never letting you go again.” Wukong deadpanned.

“Wouldn’t have it any other way peaches.” Macaque smiled into his neck.

Wukong smiled at the old nickname tightening his embrace.

“Perfect.” He smiled closing his eyes.

They stay there in each others embrace feeling as if they unlocked the keys to the entire universe.

Neither of them wished this would every end.

But if it did it’d be ok. They would have each other and that’s all they need.

Asking you about your ska troll concept! They look so cool and I would love to learn more about them

@shadow-ray4 thank you for asking, genuinely was positive that no one would ask 😅😣 but I am HAPPY to share! To start here are the full refs I've done so far and explain as much of the concept as I've developed in my brain lmaooo (ALL MAJOR DEETS undercut cause its gonna be LONG)

@goldendaydna also helped with this and lowkey a concept we are semi working out since her sona Golden Tempo is an Urbano Troll (a recently named concept lol)

Ska Trolls are Big, Bright, and BOLD. Together, these elements create an energetic, highly danceable, highly vibe-able troll genre. They also explode into confetti and confections when excited or surprised. Dont worry they pop back up as if nothing even happened leaving a pile of candy and crepe paper on the ground. (Ska trolls are super popular with the kids.) They practically live for the music, known for dancing for several days straight with hardly a rhyme or reason to stop.

*Like even the smallest of surprises just make em POP! (Bonus Branch doodle cause why not??)

Adara, my sona, is a 4th Generation Ska Troll (her father being a 3rd Gen while her mama is a punk rock troll) so TECHNICALLY shes Ska-punk, but she still has the appearance of your standard Ska Troll so it's more a music specific.

Her great great grandparents being a reggae leaning funk troll and a rocksteady leaning funk troll who formed The Underground after being seemingly left behind along with other alt/subgenres of the main 6 kingdoms when they split. A place for alternative trolls like herself and her friends could live and PARTY HARD without micro judgments against their music. It's a haven for other trolls who feel they dont quite fit a specific genre or even one at all, but also HELLA secluded from the rest of the Trolls so they look different and SOUND different. (Cave acoustics and all) The surface likely gets trimmers and even earthquakes from their raging parties. (I'm still fleshing this out but I have this piece of "concept art")

*Its literally a bioluminescent shroom town. Like glowing mushroom homes, food, ect- glow worms on the cave ceiling like stars in a night sky. All the various alternative genre of trolls have like a glowy eye thing that allows them to just see naturally in the dark too-

*these were some posters I took heavy color influence from for Adara's pallet (I know they arent all ska, but punk, reggae, and rocksteady aesthetics were an addition)

Obviously I took most inspo from pinatas, party/confetti poppers, and the sorts mainly because the funk trolls poop...well. baked goods and I wanted to play off that but lean into the crazy evolution the trolls have canonically in the universe that foam at the mouth for 👀 🤲 But I wanted to make sure her colors and patterns gave off not just Funk influence, but also micro subculture influences that are within The Underground. (This including but not not limited to, how closely Ska Trolls were to the Urbano Trolls communities within The Underground)

*Exchanged tassels and stringy fur textures for more paper textures. Like literally walking, talking, breathing pinatas fr

*Queen Essence I love yuuuu

They are bigger than the average Funk troll and have very similar features to them, but texture and color wise are very different. They much more vibrant and staturated. Giving a mix of felt and crepe paper. They have tails as sortve as an evolutionary trait but also it gives maximum party mode as it can hold objects and act as an extra hand. Their ears are also longer and slimmer, making it harder for them to lift or perk up so they stay droopy unlike their funk counterparts. They are all naturals at brass instruments (mainly trumpet) and ALWAYS have a hop in their step.

So. I mentioned in the tags of one of my first posts back that I had to announce a few things that'd probably lose me some followers, but like I don't blame anyone if you do skedaddle because I know most of you are here for the monkie (totally understandable tho)

That being said I am no longer hyperfixated on jttw/Sun Wukong and that likely won't happen again for a while cause main the thing that caused me to clock out for so long kinda left a bad taste in my brain. However I will eventually come back to it. I can guarantee that. It just won't be for a hot minute (maybe who knows I can't control my brain lol)

As for the 10 billion asks I have in my inbox rn I'll be taking screen shots of the ones that have to do with monkie and such and putting them in a folder so that when I DO get back into jttw I'll just immediately start with those. So yeah if you sent me a really long ask FEAR NOT!😃 for I refuse to get rid of any of them 🥰

With that information tho, I never really intended for this to be just a monkie blog that's just what my hyperfixation had been on since I started. But I also tried to force that hyperfixation to stay way longer than I should have so that I could keep making content that my followers would like which is a part of the reason why I needed a break for so long. I wore myself out, and I needed to convince myself that it was okay for me to make content that makes me happy too. 😌

Tho unfortunately that does mean all my current projects will be on hold and I'll be updating the titles on ao3 soon to On Hiatus. 😔

So decided to draw a thing for my Bound by Fate au, I was working on the next chapter today (over halfway done btw! Not including proofreading and editing), and decided to draw a baby werehog. Then that got me thinking about Sonic's past in the au so imma do a bit of info dumping since I'm not sure how much will be revealed in the actual fic.

Alright so. Sonic has no idea who his parents are and has been alone as long as he can remember. Basically the only thing that kept him alive when he was young was his instincts. Particularly those related to the werehog stuff. His first transformation doesn't happen for about a year though but he doesn't remember prior to that too well. He's surprised at first and sort of freaks out, but it doesn't take him long to get used to it.

He's kinda feral for a lot of his younger years, trying to keep away from people even during the day. People tried to help when they found this little hedgehog out by himself but he didn't have any issues getting away from people. Also he most definitely bit people when they got too close if he didn't just run. Probably will still bite people even now that he's older lol. Old habits die hard.

At some point he just, slowly starts getting curious about other people and manages to kind of reintegrate himself into society. Takes a few years, and a lot of mistakes, but he manages. Always been a quick learner. He learns he really enjoys being around people, but he also can't seem to let his guard down around them all the way. He's always a little on edge even if he seems perfectly calm on the surface. Then he meets Tails and he finally has someone he feels like he can trust. It helps that he feels protective over Tails after being saved by him (a story for another post perhaps).

okkkk idk if they were due yesterday but I think today is still acceptable it’s almost 4pm and I just did editing of 9 poems for one anthology and I only have editing of ONE singular poem to go but it’s a big one and while all the 9 I just did barely had feedback and just needed small structural tweaks, this final one basically needs me to reinvent it and my brain hurts and I haven’t even started it lol. I need to go to a library or something bc this kind of big brain energy cannot occur from my bed like the rest of them but the public libraries are all gonna shut soon cos it’s Sunday and my only option is my uni library just down the road bc it stays open pretty late even on Sunday but do I rlly want to go to uni on a Sunday ugh and also like I feel so physically unwell so like mentally I’m so much more relaxed here bc I know I can have breaks lying down but like also my brain is so checked out rn lol first world problems I just wanna be done I hyper focused for a few hrs and now I’m ready to check out when in reality imma need to hyper focused a few hrs more and then after that do lecture prep for this week (which id honestly rather be doing rn) lol rip I did not enjoy this weekend as much as I wanted to and I have another uni assignment I haven’t started this week rip

Yea. She knows about the birthday page lol. I take pride in being objective and not allowing my biases to cloud my vision. Something that I speak on often that bothers me is how Letitia’s success has been vastly ignored in the U.S. People are not accepting of her as a black woman being the Black Panther, because they feel as though she got the part only because they had to do SOMETHING after Chadwick’s death and Chadwick and Ryan’s love for her catapulted her forward. People were not happy. And she got crumbs of recognition for an extremely POWERFUL performance. It irritates me highly. But, then Boom! Here we come! The Sapphic community! I don’t know if y’all were paying attention but outside of all the edits of us thinking she was fine, and all the fanfiction. There wasn’t a lot of ‘We loved Letitia Wright as Black Panther.’ There was a man who went viral saying “Letitia Wright isn’t as good as she thinks she is.” The masses were in agreement. I replied to the video listing off amazing roles she played. He watched “Silent Twins” and came back with rave reviews about Letitia and her performance. That is the type of power her fanbase holds. All she has to do is be her and we continue to show love and support and pull people in with us. Her Sapphic community is the ONLY thing keeping her relevant in the U.S. Though I personally prefer the way she handles her social media. I like that she’s not consistently active and chooses her peace. However, when she does choose to interact at one time or another a simple “I love y’all” would do wonders. Be honest she’d never have to say another word to us lol. That one thing would be enough to feed the fandom for years! Just a crumb of acknowledgement. No one needs her to turn backflips and cartwheels, but if I’m honest imma always go see a Letitia Wright movie because I love the way she brings life to her charecters, and she’s beautiful! This is a really wonderful headcanon! I love reading it and seeing it in comics and art. I swear I saw something like this just the other day where Link and Zelda were visiting hotsprings? If this is a request for art I have to apologize that it's not something I want to draw at the moment. I had (have?) anorexia and the thought of dwelling too long while drawing with a character that feels,, aah,, it's that Zelda is comforting him, implying that he feels guilty or uncomfortable about his body? It's a feeling that's important to explore through art and writing and I like to see it. It's a comfort to know that I am not alone. But to dwell in that discomfort myself around one's own body, or eating, makes me feel icky, so it's not something I'm going to draw, at least not right now, sorry TvT I've been there myself and it's too easy to fall back into that feeling and remember what it was like when my anorexia was bad so for my own wellbeing I'm not going to.

RARIJACK!!! it was one of my first hardcore ships, and also was my introduction to queer ships!!! renga is a close second, but rarijack just is really important and special to me for sentimental reasons that put it above renga and others! i am also on a seroroki kick right now. it's not my all-time favorite, but the brain rot seems never ending right now lol

15. what's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

GOD SO MANY i have a folder in gdocs just for ninjago fics and there are folders within the folder for different types of wips i'll never finish - i have That many: "no substance", "baby girls", "drafts"... etc...

uhhhhhhhhhh ngl i'm in a place right now where i feel like the answer is Nothing (writer's block has been Bad recently), but i think something i'm good at in a very specific way is making readers feel the discomfort of characters? like idk i've been told that the way i write ts and tics (specifically tic attacks) makes the readers feel uncomfortable in like a "wow i didn't know it felt this way" kind of way??? i like to think i'm good at characterization??? idkkkk

ummm setting and scenery & connecting parts of a story, especially if they're parts that i'm stuck on/transitions are prolly my biggest ones???

oh 100% hey, little songbird, give me a song. it's just really special to me and writing it helped me cope with a new tic i had. but one that i wrote more recently is fantasies i'm not sure that i'm worthy of which is a ritsu-centric fic and is prolly tied as my favorite fic i wrote in 2023. the other one would be sun comes streaming through the window (& i can't sleep anymore) which is my 21k word kenji-centric fic lol but that one is like... i'm more proud of it than anything, which is what puts it up there.

1. What’s your favourite sims death?

Hum, tough one. I guess being struck by lighting is pretty cool, not that I get to see it that often. Also being hit by a satellite, but I’ve literally never seen it happen in my game unless I cheat.

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Alpha, obviously. Although I prefer to call my style ‘semi-realistic’.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

I used to, but now I’m like, nah. Let those sims have some meat on their bones!

4. Do you use move objects?

All the time, bruh.

5. Favorite mod?

If I only had to pick one, then Gunmod’s radiance lighting. Picked based on the fact that it’s always the first mod I get whenever I have to reinstall.

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?

I think it was Nightlife? But my PC from back then was so weak that I couldn’t get the EP to work at all, save for a couple outfits that were randomly showing up in CAS.

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?

Been pronouncing it ‘aLive mode’ ever since I started simming. I never even knew there was a debate about it until I saw a post on simblr some years ago.

8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

What, just one? D: I have a bunch of faves, and you can probably tell who they are by the fact that they crop up in every new iteration of my game.

Never, nor do I plan to! Having a sim version of myself in the game would just feel weird.

warning: i can be harsh, please don’t take everything i say as predestined, astrology is possible outcomes not guaranteed ones. plus let’s not forget orbs matter, dominance matters, etc. it’s never just one planet or one asteroid that rule over an outcome or how things effect you. this is just a starting place for when examining singular objects in an entire galaxy. take what resonates and leave what doesn’t!

why this is useful information: ever hear the expression “apple of my eye”? enough said lol. if you have an apple allergy, you may have moon negatively aspecting your venus.

why this is useful information: where do your gifts rank? *this is not to say you can’t practice and become an expert - this is about how naturally the arts of interpretation come to you* PULL OUT THE PERSONA CHARTS! take a look at the planets listed above this blurb - now in each of these charts look at mercury, venus, and uranus. mercury is seen as an amateur, venus as the intermediate, and uranus as the expert. the more of these on a southern hemisphere (7-12h) the better! example: my moon persona has a 10h uranus, 8h venus, and a 6h mercury. this is an incredible arc to understanding instincts and intuition when studying astrology.

why this is useful information: where are you in the autumn of your life? autumn in itself always signifies a lowering of energy; in terms of fall, it's the responsibilities of harvesting and putting up food - the preparation for the winter. saturn lines in your astrocharts can show you where that autumn vibe is not necessarily all candied apples and sweaters. rather those are the places you’ll be working hard like all the farm hands do this time of the year. the autumn vibes in your chart based on houses may show where you too have to keep up with the changes around you more strenuously than those around you. take a look at your chart - your saturn is likely where you may not have the same level of success as others, where you maintain a lot of responsibility to perform and provide, as well as where you should prep as you head into fall! my saturn is in the 3h, i already had my car inspected the first week of september because i knew that if i didn’t i wouldn’t have time with school. i also know that i have social anxiety so being in school five days a week and then commuting home really wipes me out. so my advice: take a look at your saturn persona chart: take a look at jupiter in your saturn chart; it may just be your saving grace! personally, my jupiter is in my 4h of my saturn persona chart - my house was decorated for fall by august 20th (a few days before i went back), i made sure my fridge and pantry were stocked up, etc. as long as my home is inviting and well prepared for the change of pace and seasonal transitions - imma be okay lol. and honestly, it truly helps to see fake leaves and a gnome on my fireplace at the end of the day. if you have persphone-saturn aspects you may find you change your environment when fall/winter is coming (popular in college students who go home for summer OR people who have summer or winter homes), or that fall for you symbolizes a change in your roles (popular in people who have a summer job OR those who are teachers and have the summer off).

Hello, Daisy. I have a few questions. They are related to the Dr. Bright debacle, so feel free to delete this if that makes you uncomfortable.

First of all, are you okay with people making posts linking to your testimony? I've made some posts containing the Google Doc titled "Skeletons in the Amulet", and if this makes you uncomfortable, I will delete them.

Second of all, there are people with DID that have fictives (alternate personalities that take the form of a fictional character) of Doctor Jack Bright. Many of these people are not comfortable with the use of Elias Shaw, and some have outright stated that Shaw is triggering. What would you suggest for these people in this situation?

Honestly feel free to ask me about adminbright anytime. This goes for anyone who has questions about my testimony or the situation in general. The bastard has me blocked on Facebook but I still have the logs— that and I’ve figured out that being extremely detailed with receipts makes it harder for bright apologist squealers to cry “Political Corectness” or “Buzzkill” without looking like they’re backing up a nonce lol. I’m not a stranger to giving testimony on trauma in general and am more than happy to put on a brave face if it means others can stay safe and informed.

Now onto the two parter:

1. Fuck. Yes. Say no more. It puts AB on edge to hell and back. Actually, Mx. Peters has gone on two Facebook tyrades regarding my testimony before nuking their Facebook to private. They have other victims even irl that they’ve met at faires n cons, I still keep in touch with one actually.

The more this gets out alongside the aht message and Cimm’s video, the more impact it might have in fandom spaces they frequent. As of now they’re banned from two events due to the mountain of evidence that’s now levied against them. More awareness=less future victims. Use my doc as many times as your little heart desires.

2. Imma be real with you chief I am not a licensed shrink nor do I have full knowledge of DID aside from having three really good friends who have it. Actually it worries me quite a bit that there’s bright fictives given the whole possession fetish aspect of the character and how it enticed the sicko who created him. Only advice I can give is that you are in mostly full control to curate your personal experience online. Make use of the tag system here, mute words on Twitter, the works if you’re really that bothered by Shaw.

(Edit to add given that it’s been brought to my attention that this part can be confused for me still talking about people with DID, I’m talking about fully neurotypical people who use the character) I have several people who still use bright despite the trove of info on how that can be potentially dangerous blocked on here. It’s so weird to flex stanning some 40 year olds possession fetish character that they used (along with their position of power) to actively predate on minors and young adults but go off I guess?

If anyone gives me shit about Shaw tho? I bite back. I won’t tolerate being heckled about taking steps to minimize and prevent further damage from my groomer in this community in an attempt to heal from the shit I went through with Peters.

I was taken advantage of as a child when I was 9, once again when I was 16, and finally by bright when I was 20. The latter will be the last time I let it slide. I made a promise to myself that I will protect not only the past victims, some of whom I’m friends with, but also young impressionable fans from this lowlife coomer and their undeserved legacy. I will cyber bully (in Minecraft) anyone who tries to slam me for it. I will be the ultimate buzzkill for any indignant bright stan and call them out for indirectly sheltering the legacy of a predator. I’m not the only person tired of the character either. Many people on the wiki are and will side eye you at best if you complain about the overdue action being taken regarding bright the character.

What was the biggest challenge or difficulty you encountered in the course of writing TQOL that you didn't have when writing TPOT? Did it surprise you? And why do you think it was an issue here and not in the original story?

This is such a good question. I have been pondering it for days. I kinda got rambling so I'll add a Read More to avoid taking up too much real estate on the dash.

One thing I struggled with: writing Will so that his snark and defiance still felt fun and fresh despite the fact that we've met him in this way before, but also writing Will so that he still felt like the same person. His character arc is really different in TQOL, and his struggles and suffering are largely (though not entirely) of a different sort as well. We get to see a different side of him for at least part of the AU, and I guess I feared accidentally just making him into a whole new character. I still want him to feel like himself.

(Of course, this wasn't an issue for TPOT because it was the first time I was writing him and I had nothing to 'keep consistent' to.)

So...yeah. Keeping the characters consistent from TPOT to TQOL was a big challenge. Colette also got a bit of this; she definitely reads a little different in the AU, although there are plot reasons why, and I did pull from one (TPOT) scene in particular to explore one aspect of her character we really only see once(ish) in TPOT.

I didn't worry about this for Breanna because as far as I'm concerned, she is a different person, and this story is of how she grows into someone far more like Bree.

If I'm being honest, my biggest challenge with TQOL is happening, like...now. I've started my readthrough and will soon be preparing to post it. The story just kind of fell out of me, so fast that I didn't have much time to second-guess myself, but that's all coming out now.

is it realistic enough? (super did not care about this while writing TPOT; now there are some things I would edit out)

was I too mean to [character] in [x] chapters? (in TPOT, there are like 2 things from early in the story that I feel were either 'too mean' or 'not realistic' and I may very well edit them out, but I didn't have this concern. Even though I was, like, really mean to the characters.)

did I do enough time period research? (super did not care about this for TPOT. enjoy your anachronisms. yum yum.)

did I treat [x] subject with the appropriate amount of sensitivity, care, and respect? (in TPOT, I really only had this concern with *that one chapter* but with TQOL, there's a few things I'm nervous about)

even though I knowingly and purposely repeated some plot elements/tropes because I wanted to see if I could / because I just wanted to, will readers see that as cheap or lazy? (n/a to TPOT)

is there enough whump for the whump people? (n/a to TPOT. there is whump aplenty in there)

is the romance executed well enough for the romance people? (lol in TPOT I was allergic to Bree & Will's romance until the bitter end so this was...not really on my mind)
