What Happens After Divorce Mediation Process?
Discussions initially focus on identifying the areas during which the participants have differences. I even have used Rock and Stacey's skilled service a quantity of times during the divorce mediation last 6 years and they're all the time expedient on dealing with my case and getting constructive outcomes. I extremely recommend for any authorized advice and services you could need.
This win or lose mentality often ends in both spouses feeling like they have lost. Both mediation and arbitration involve a neutral third party who just isn't a judge. In mediation, the neutral get together -- the mediator -- helps the spouses to barter an agreement and has no power to make choices. In arbitration, the neutral third party -- the arbitrator -- listens to the facts after which decides the case. On the average, at our Long Island Center for Divorce Mediation, our average number of mediation periods is two classes.
This research goals to handle the choice making process that mediators use when deciding to include youngsters within the mediation course of. A qualitative examine was performed, by which skilled mediators were interviewed regarding the decision making course of used to find out whether or not or not youngsters are included in the mediation process. Further analysis is needed to find out how mediators are being educated to work with children and provide developmentally acceptable and competent services.
To e-book a free telephone consultation or an initial session with Omar, click on right here. To be taught extra about mediation, schedule time to talk with a mediator. Expenses are consolidated by collectively hiring any required professionals just like the appraisers, financial neutrals, and child development specialists. The events can maintain or restore an excellent working relationship with one another post-divorce – that is necessary for folks who must work together throughout and after divorce.
This is their mediation and so they determine everything in the process. If you're pondering of mediating your divorce on-line, discovering a mediator is as straightforward as deciding on a service provider. Collaborative divorce (also called "collaborative legislation" or "collaborative follow") is a substitute for litigating your divorce in courtroom. Don't reject mediation just since you and your spouse divorce mediation see a specific concern very differently—in other phrases, do not surrender earlier than you have begun. Mediation is a strong course of, and heaps of circumstances that appear inconceivable to resolve initially end up in a settlement. For divorces without these sorts of circumstances, divorce mediation could be a great choice.
Discovery in mediation is as simple as finishing a monetary form offered by your mediator and bringing copies of certain paperwork that your mediator will ask you to deliver with you to a mediation meeting. Failing to take action you presumably can lose your proper to present your aspect of the divorce to the courtroom. The worst end result might be the courtroom awards your partner every little thing they requested for within the Petition. When the court grants dissolution of marriage after hearing from just one spouse, it’s known as a default divorce.
I was in awe at how prompt, compassionate, and simple all the staff have been. I had no concept that my state of affairs might yield such positive results. My travels and making an attempt to keep my partner satisfied materialistically, buried with bank card debt. With a divorce pending, I want to scrub out the closet of debts amassed during the last 4 years since we remarried in Feb 2017. Jacuqueline opened my eyes on the method to effectively resolve my crisis and the means to look ahead to a betterment of my monetary future.
Thus, if you go to court, anyone with adequate curiosity may discover particulars about your funds and private lives via courtroom filings and different documents. In the context of a highly contested divorce litigation, the disclosures in such pleadings are more likely to be extra detailed and presented in a extra aggressive method by battling attorneys. When you arrive at a settlement settlement through divorce mediation mediation, only a few documents are filed with the court, a lot of your personal dispute just isn't public report. Moreover, all discussions and work product produced during mediation is confidential beneath the Massachusetts mediation statute. A mediation session could additionally be scheduled for a full eight hours, so don’t really feel the urge to rush into an agreement. It’s important that you simply take your time and suppose things via before you comply with a settlement. When you comply with mediation , you’re agreeing to fulfill with somebody who isn’t involved with your divorce or life affairs. The best mediators are sometimes professionals, and lots of have both practiced legislation as an legal professional or may be retired judges.

Shangri La no Tori Ch 13
Phi is thinking about the sight of Apollo with another bird from earlier. Even though Apollo is straight, he seemed to be getting along fine with that bird. He wishes he didn’t see them together. He’s the one that trained Apollo, but it seems Apollo can be kind to anyone as long as it’s his job. Then again, it’s not like a straight guy like Apollo would have a reason to do that with a guy otherwise. Phi thinks back to the way Apollo gently caressed the bird from earlier and starts biting his thumb.
Marco walks by two birds and overhears one of them talking about Apollo. The bird is complaining about how Apollo’s guard is so high; he was able to go as far as undoing Apollo’s zipper. He looks for Apollo and finds him looking exhausted. It seems today was another tough day at work for him. He wonders why he can’t do the job as well as when he was with Phi. Marco tries to comfort him and they head off to eat with the others.
During dinner, Apollo tells the others that he thinks it might be impossible for him after all to do those things with a guy. Sheth wonders why he feels this way now since he seemed to be doing fine with Phi. Didn’t Phi train him to get used to it? That’s what Apollo intended, but although he had to kill his emotions the first time he was with Phi, he gradually got used to the touch of a man’s body. However, he doesn’t understand why it hasn’t been working out with the other birds no matter how hard he tries. Marco tells him that the bird he worked with yesterday was very happy with him and wants to work with him again. Apollo is relieved to hear so. He doesn’t have anything against gay men, but he just can’t seem to get himself to do anything sexual with another man. One of the studs (forgot his name) wonders why that is since the bird he was with should be more his type than Phi, who can be considered “beautiful”, but not necessarily in a feminine way. It could be that Apollo holds special feelings for Phi since he was his first. They suggest Apollo talk it over with the owner. Apollo says he will after he returns from the mainland.
Apollo is thinking about Phi in his room. Phi hasn’t come over ever since the night they spent together. He wonders if Phi is sleeping properly and what happened to his stalker. They haven’t run into each other lately. He wonders if Phi will still come to him when he needs someone to talk to.
On the mainland, Apollo meets up with Douglas to discuss details of Apollo’s divorce mediation settlement. Douglas says it would be more sensible for Apollo’s wife to agree to the divorce. If she’s trying this hard to hold on to their marriage, she shouldn’t have cheated on Apollo in the first place. Apollo recalls the conversation he had with Phi where Phi asked him why he can’t forgive his wife even though she was only playing around with the other guy. Apollo wonders why she gave into that temptation? Douglas thinks the change from being a career woman to becoming a housewife must have taken its toll on her. He asks Apollo if he doesn’t plan on making up with his wife and Apollo says he will not make up with her. Of course, not being able to forgive that kind of act is one reason, but the main one is because they have hurt each other too much. If he had listened to her at that time and didn’t act on his emotions, they probably would’ve been able to make up. However, the feelings he has already lost for her will never return. He can no longer imagine a future with her anymore.
Outside, Apollo and Douglas talk for a bit. Douglas asks Apollo about his job and whether Phi is doing well. Apollo tells him that they haven’t come across each other for a few days now. He thinks to himself that they won’t come into contact with each other as long as Phi doesn’t request him as a stud. Douglas notices Apollo looks down and wonders if Apollo has fallen for Phi. Apollo retorts that he’s straight, but Douglas says Phi is very beautiful. It’s because Douglas says these things that his wife thinks he’s bi. Anyways, there are strict rules that they have to follow at Shangri La. Douglas laughs and says rules exist to be broken. Before they head off to eat, Apollo asks about a classmate from college who became a police officer named John Collins and whether Douglas knows his contact information; he has a request.
Apollo is greeted by Marco when he returns to the island. Before heading to the cafeteria, he stops at the main hall  since the manager told him to show his face as soon as he returns. He came back right when Shangri La opened its business to customers. He walks past the crowd and sees Phi surrounded by multiple men. He is about to run over until he sees the smile on Phi’s face after one of the men comes on his face. Apollo walks out, looking very shocked as he recalls Phi’s expression from earlier.

a firstprince meet-cute
the heroes of olympus au
in which the roman son of apollo meets the greek son of themis
Henry—the quiet son of Apollo and Centurion of the 3rd cohort—leads a team of five demigods through the Long Island woods. Their task: spy on the Greeks and bring information back to Octavian. The golden-haired boy wishes he could’ve refused, but anyone who goes against the Pontifex Maximus gets severely punished and he will not let any harm come to his legionaries. Not again.
The group weaves through the trees, dodging the sight of any patrols. Henry has no idea how he’ll get close enough to hear anything, but he might be able to interpret some battle strategy from the Greek’s night preparations. As his fellow soldiers fan out beside him, Henry inches up the hill. He’d say a prayer to his father if he thought it would help, but he doesn’t. After many unanswered prayers about his sexuality, about his rather fucked up influential family, he doesn’t bother with Apollo anymore.
Henry gestures for his right-hand man—Pez, son of Mercury and the only one who actually knows he’s gay—to peer over the hill with him; the others stay back, keeping watch. The Centurion readies an arrow just in case, while Pez has his hand on the hilt of his blade, and they watch Greek demigods reinforce their buildings, sharpen their weapons, and prepare medical tents. None of them are practicing formations, which doesn’t help Henry or Octavian at all. He has to come back with something, so he puts the arrow away and crawls forward.
This could be really stupid, but he has to try—not for Octavian but for New Rome. It’s the only place that’s felt like home to him. Back in England, there’s his grandmother, the CEO of an underwhelming home goods empire. The stuff is cheap, but they’re still the number one seller back home. His mother and brother have a part in it. His sister ran off a few years back, and he has no idea where she is or if she’s even alive. His father—or rather ex-step-father—hasn’t wanted much to do with him since about three years ago when he found out Henry’s mother had an affair at a music festival fourteen years before.
They had a scandalous divorce, covered by every major news outlet, and Henry found out his true identity when a handsome demigod knocked on his door and told him he was in danger and had to be take to California. Several monsters, a few thousand miles, and a few months with a wolf goddess later, he found himself at Camp Jupiter. Everything that happened to him up until then—the blurry images of creatures at the corner of his eyes every time he turned a corner, the dyslexia that made his passion for writing frustrating, the way he never really fit in with his family—finally made sense. He was a demigod! And when the sign of Apollo appeared over his head after he made his first bullseye at the archery range, he truly felt like he found where he belonged.
Pez whispers for him to come back, but Henry lifts a hand in warning. Just then, someone—a dryad probably—screams an alert to his enemy, and all Underworld breaks loose. His legionaries get in formation behind him, readying themselves for the Greeks. They were taught never to run from a fight, but Henry can’t allow this to happen. He’s been in enough battles to know when he can win and when he can’t. Eventually, they’ll be outnumbered because Octavian won’t send him reinforcements if he can help it. He doesn’t know how violent the Greeks will be, but if they willingly fired on New Rome when their defenses were down, then he can’t take the risk. And he won’t repeat what happened in the Titan war.
Henry orders his soldiers back, telling Pez to take temporary control of the cohort and share the minimal information they gathered with the Pontifex. If they’re to be any casualties tonight, it will only be Henry and the Greeks he can take down with him.
•••
The last thing Alex—the wise-ass son of Themis—wants to do in the middle of the night is go to a counsel meeting at the Big House. He wipes the sleep from his eyes as he walks up the creaky steps. Inside, Chiron and the other counsellors gather around a table. It’s times like this he wishes it was a year ago when the children of minor gods were left out of meetings and decision-making. But as soon as he slaps himself awake, he regains his undying need to get involved and raise hell—fair and just hell, of course.
He sits down next to Nora, the temporary head counsellor of the Athena cabin. She’s bouncing in her seat—no doubt high on caffeine and nectar and ready to get back to developing war strategy. She gives him a wink and taps her fingers like she’s back home typing on a computer. Chiron clears his throat and tells the demigods of a Roman scout team that was spotted an hour ago. Unfortunately, most of the soldiers got away, but they did manage to capture one. He’s being held in one of the Big House’s guest rooms.
Now it’s Alex’s turn to bounce. He’s been waiting for an opportunity like this. A prisoner of war means they’ll need to get information. There will need to be a lawyer present—or a lawyer in training that is. He can preside over the questioning, be the voice of justice, and maybe even get the Roman to see the right side is his. He can picture it now: Camp Half-Blood safe from the Romans and that dude reformed in his ways, joining them to stop Gaia. Yes, this is his chance to step out of his sister’s shadow.
He volunteers to mediate for whoever is charged with the interview. Alex ignores Chiron’s obvious hesitation; just because he can get a little heated—thank gods Leo isn’t here cracking a dumb pun joke at that, which would inevitably leave them both laughing on the floor—doesn’t mean he can’t be objective. So he hates the Romans’ guts and thinks they should go back to their stuck-up little camp, so what? Once he’s in the real world, going to college, running for congress like his father, he’ll have to deal with a shit-ton of people he doesn’t like. Looking at you, Bitch McConnell.
Just as Chiron decides he, Nora, Will Solace, and reluctantly Alex will talk to the Roman boy, a camper from the Aphrodite cabin bursts through the door and tells him one of the Hephaestus girls accidentally blew up a boy from the Ares cabin. Apparently, armor strapped with projectile explosives wasn’t the best idea. So Chiron declares they will talk to their guest in the morning, and in the meantime, they’ll take shifts in pairs guarding him. Alex raises his hand to get the first watch, but Chiron appoints Drew Tanaka and Connor Stoll. They both roll their eyes at the idea of being stuck together for the next few hours. Alex’s chest deflates.
Ever since his sister left—he and June are some of the rare demigods that have the same mortal and immortal parentage without being twins—the responsibility of the Themis cabin has fallen on his shoulders. He wanted it, of course, but his siblings also elected him to the head counsellor position, thinking he’d follow in June’s footsteps: ruling with truth, justice, and wisdom. Just like their mother.
Back in his cabin, Alex stares at the marble statue of her that presides over her children. Her iconic image—blindfolded, holding a sword in one hand and balancing a scale in the other—reminds him he’s definitely no June.
She was a leader of quests; Alex has never been on one. June was the voice of reason at counsel meetings; he struggles just to sit still, let alone calm a room with one enlightening sentence. When the children of minor gods were finally given their own cabins, there was no question who should run theirs. Now, he hears his siblings whisper whether they should hold another election. Gods, you call out your conservative brothers one time—it was way more than once—and suddenly, you’re imposing your opinion on everyone.
That’s not it though. Alex has never been given a chance to step up. No matter how many times he tries to convince the counsel they should establish a court system at camp—nothing settles an argument like a nice, fair trial—he always gets shot down.
Not anymore. He’s not going to sit back this time. Not when the threat to camp is this great. He’ll get what he needs from that Roman. If June were here, she would’ve been trusted to go ahead without Chiron, so Alex will do the same.
•••
Henry wakes up to angry whispers outside of his door. The twelve Greeks overtook him easily, but he did put up a good fight. At least, he did until he was knocked unconscious. On the table beside his bed, a note sits atop a plate of food.
Eat well. Hydrate. Rest. We’ll speak with you soon. -Chiron
A glass of juice spiked with nectar sits next to the plate. Why would those imbecilic Greeks give him what’s essentially strengthening serum? He intakes his surroundings: a bed, a table, a dresser, and a chair. Window to the left. Only door out to the right. There’s a clean set of clothes at the end of the bed, but Henry would rather go to Tartarus and back than put on another camp’s shirt.
He jimmies the window, but it’s locked and to hard to break. He lightly tries the doorknob, but it’s locked as well. By the sounds of it, three maybe four people argue outside his door. Romans never had this much trouble changing guard shifts. Henry fiddles about the room, looking for anything to 1. unlock the door and 2. use as a weapon. He can handle four Greeks, and he’ll do everything in his power to get back to his cohort.
Henry hears the click of the door unlocking. Gods, they’re thick, aren’t they? He grabs the wooden chair, and as the door swings open, he thwacks the person walking in with it. Just as he suspected, the chair breaks, and he uses one piece to press against the throat of the careless demigod he’s pinned to the floor.
The boy beneath him groans. He’s got light brown skin and dark curly hair, and if Henry weren’t about to kill him, he’d think he was quite cute.
“Gods, can you Greeks do anything with finesse? Even your hero, Percy Jackson, as talented as he may be, flies by the seed of his trousers.” Henry grits his teeth.
“Ha!” the boy coughs out. “Jumping to conclusions, are we? I thought you guys were supposed to be strictly trained soldiers. You miscalculated.”
He points behind him, and when Henry looks up, a girl stands battle-ready with a sword in her hand. The distraction is enough for the boy below to wrap his legs around Henry and flip them. The Greek holds a dagger to his neck.
“Listen here, pretty boy, are we going to talk or am I going to go all American Revolution on your British-ass?” He presses the dagger, and Henry yelps.
The boy’s brown eyes peer into Henry’s, and some strange part of him likes it. The Greek looks about his age and, while clearly not as capable as he, definitely has some fight in him.
“I’d like to see you try, graecus. But be forewarned, if you send me to the Underworld, I’ll drag you and your camp down with me.” He keeps his face plain and uncaring, though he can feel the heat in his cheeks. Apollo help him.
The girl interrupts them to remind her partner what they’re here to do. She sheaths her sword and closes the door.
He’s called Alex. Henry swallows. And they need information.
Alex releases him. The two get up off the ground. No one moves to sit or get more comfortable. The boys just stare at each other, long and cold.
Henry can tell this guy is a complete and total arse, and yet he can’t shake the swirling feeling in his stomach. A memory from a quest eighteen months ago flashes in his mind. In Vegas, a priest of Venus dressed like Elvis told him great tragedy would befall his love life, but with the goddess’s blessing, he’d find happiness again.
He already lost someone. The demigod who found him, Daniel, son of Ceres, his sponsor when he joined the camp, his Centurion. Everything was quiet between them—few words needed for mutual understanding. Daniel brought him fresh lavender; Henry played him a tune on the lute. But then the Titan war came. And Daniel disobeyed the Praetors’ orders to save the boy he loved. Henry barely had time to grieve before he took control of the 3rd cohort and lost four other demigods in the process. Not a day goes by when he doesn’t think of the five who died because of him. Because of love.
No. This feeling he has is the desire to beat the Greeks, nothing more. He doesn’t give a damn about happiness in love or this obnoxiously hot demigod before him. Like even as Alex breaks eye contact first, puts his sheathed dagger in his boot, ruffles his hair, puts his hands on his hips, and sighs, Henry feels nothing. Elvis can go fuck himself.
“So,” Alex says, “what do you have planned, and how can we convince you to stop? We’d really like to prevent another demigod civil war.”
Henry laughs, and even though nothing would make him happier than to stop fighting, to rest as Chiron suggested, he tells Alex, “You’re really a dickhead if you think I’m giving you anything.”
•••
“It was an accident!”
“You expect me to believe with our two camps in a centuries-long feud that the one time we let down our defenses, your lot just attacked us on accident? Right, and I suppose Pluto is actually a sweet guy once you get to know him, too?”
“My buddy Leo was being controlled by Gaia!”
“Your mate Leo should come up with a better lie.”
“You’re impossible!” Gods, Alex really hates this guy. “Nora, can’t we just—”
She shakes her head before he can finish. He’s not really sure what he was going to say. Have Drew come back and charmspeak him? Feed him to the harpies? Pin him down again? Wait—what?
“Listen, dude. We’re really on the same side here. Right now, both Greeks and Romans demigods—our friends—are fighting against a greater threat than the world has seen since the beginning of time. That’s got to count for something,” he says.
The Roman is quiet. Alex hates how he looks like a goddamn prince even after a fight. But maybe he got through to him. After all, it is true. For all the shit he talks about Romans, he knows they’re not bad, just different. They actually have more in common than they’d like to acknowledge. Jason Grace taught him that. If there was ever a Roman WASP he could get behind, it’s Jason.
So Alex tries a different approach. He gestures to the bed. “You want to?” The blond boy stiffens, and Alex clarifies, “Sit?”
“How about we start over?” He sits. Nora takes the opportunity to march to the other side and bellyflops onto the bed. “I’m Alex, son of Themis, the goddess of justice. And you are?”
He watches the Roman look from the undefended door to Alex and back again.
“You could run,” Alex says. “But then we’d have no chance to broker peace. Hera thought she could do it by trading heroes, but I think you and I both know it takes more than one person to heal two armies.”
Power swells in his chest. Alex can’t know for sure, but maybe his mother is looking out for him. This is how he can bring the demigods justice for Gaia’s destruction. June would be the better choice, but Alex is here and he has to try.
“Let’s work together. Or at least, get along long enough for the prophesized seven to come back home,” he says.
The Roman hesitates. Alex can see in his light blue eyes the number of strategies racing through his mind. But ultimately, he decides to sit. Nora snores next to them. Five a.m. and a caffeine/nectar crash will do that to you.
“So your name?” Alex asks. “It’s only fair.” Dumb pun but he winks.
The boy coughs, but then he looks into Alex’s eyes. “I’m—er—Henry, son of Apollo, Centurion of the 3rd cohort.”
so this is a little late but we’re just going to ignore that...
i just finished reading toa a couple of weeks ago, and i can’t stop thinking about it!! so when i saw the meet-cute prompt, i couldn’t resist a percy jackson-ish fic! i hope you enjoyed this little short piece. <3

101 Greek Mythology head-canons that have little to nothing to do with the “canon”
(These headcanons merely involve my own interpretation of G.M. and the way it’s depicted in my story. It’s okay, if you don’t like them, but please do refrain from nagging into my ears about it, because these are headcanons!)
1. Ares is both Zeus’ oldest and his only legitimate son (Hephaistos is Hera’s son alone, so he doesn’t count). Sometimes he rubs it into his half-siblings’ faces out of spite. The only ones excluded are the Horai (Eunomia, Dike and Eirene) and Athena, because they're (kind of) older and have been born (or conceived) in wedlock.
2. Ares and Zeus have kind of a parental love-hate relationship. Because ... well, it’s Zeus.
3. Athena has a bitter rivalry with both Ares and Poseidon going on. But they do get along sometimes.
4. The Kronides (Hestia, Hades, Demeter, Poseidon, Hera and Zeus) have a feeling of reverence towards Athena’s mother Metis. It’s one of the reasons why she’s Zeus’ favourite child.
5. I went with Hesiod’s Theogony on their family tree, so Aphrodite is the sole daughter of the sky Ouranos (or more specifically of his privy parts). That makes her the half-sister of the Titanes and aunt to the 1st-generation-Olympians. Thus she’s the oldest member of the Olympian Twelve (the Dodekatheoi).
6. Aphrodite dresses in pink or red most of the time, but her favourite colour is actually blue. Only Ares, Hephaistos and Athena know this.
7. Every time a god/dess is born, the Moirai (the Fates) and the Protogenoi (primordial gods) come to attend the birth, determine their later life and tasks and grant them the powers required. Most of the Protogenoi typically attend births invisibly, so that only Zeus, Hades and Hekatê can see them.
8. Hera and Zeus have a cold love for each other. They’re still married, because he needs a queen and no one else wants to be. And Hera can watch over the family better this way.
9. Hera is in retirement from being a jealous psycho wife. Now she just gives hell to Zeus, as annoying him is fun, if you can get away with it. Nowadays she’s a bitch for other reasons.
10. Poseidon isn’t the wisest of the three brothers, but he often mediates between Hades and Zeus, when things get bad between them. Over time he has gotten really good at it.
11. The Olympians have three collective no-goes: violation of the laws of hospitality, family murder and cannibalism. For obvious reasons.
12. Hephaistos, Ares and Aphrodite have long moved on from the golden net incident. Hephaistos has divorced Aphrodite and remarried. The three have a platonic affection for each other and joke about the shipwreck that’s Hephaistos’ and Aphrodite’s failed marriage.
13. Aphrodite is secretly a badass. She also has a more of her father in her than anyone could imagine. She keeps it from everyone, because she’s too afraid of what Zeus might do, if he finds out. The only ones who have a hunch are Hephaistos, Ares and Athena.
14. Ares was actually supposed to become a god of vegetation and fertility, when he was born. But no thanks to a curse from Gaia, he got bound to become a god of war instead. He does have green fingers though and secretly likes gardening.
15. Aphrodite had no serious relationship with any other than Ares, but Adonis came pretty close. Ares killed the poor guy out of jealousy, which obviously made Aphrodite upset.
16. Metis still exists. She lives on inside Zeus’ subconsciousness and has born the prophesied son that is destined to surpass Zeus. But they can’t get out, because Zeus placed a seal on his mind, after Athena broke out of his head.
17. Demeter wasn’t actually upset about Persephone marrying Hades. She was angry that it happened without her consent; she’s Persephone’s mother after all. But since things have been cleared up, she gets along with Hades comparatively well.
18. If you make Hestia, Hebe or Harmonia upset, the Olympians will collectively hunt you down and fuck you up.
19. The Greek pantheon is in contact with other panthea. Zeus does most of the international politics.
20. Dionysos once wanted to make it rain wine during Athena’s birthday party. But he messed up the spell and it rained pineapples instead.
21. Ares is possessed by a demon. To be specific by Polemos, the personification and spirit of war itself. It’s one of the reasons why he’s so crazy, but he has learned to deal with it. To him, Polemos is mostly that annoying voice in his head. He can allow the Daimon to take over, but rarely does, because he doesn’t want anyone to know about him and because he fears, that Polemos might harm his loved ones.
22. Hephaistos likes to set people’s hair on fire, if they piss him off.
23. Hermes is a kleptomaniac. Nobody likes this.
24. Ares and Demeter had a one-night-stand once. Their offspring was two serpentine dragons and a warrior, because that’s how hardcore they are. Ares loved his monster babies and was very upset, when they got killed.
25. Hades and Persephone have one of the most functional marriages in the pantheon. Persephone is the boss.
26. Ares’ daughter Harmonia is the only goddess, who has given up her immortality for a mortal husband. She was cursed by Hephaistos, who wanted to get back at Aphrodite, and lived a miserable life, before she and her husband were turned into snakes (in my version it was Ares, who transformed them both). They were sent to the Elysion after finally passing on. Hades allows Ares and Aphrodite to visit their daughter from time to time.
27. Despite being brash and loud, Ares is one of the few gods, who actually get along with Hades. He earned a few points with the King of the Underworld by getting along famously with Kerberos and by increasing his number of subjects more quickly.
28. Artemis is asexual, but in a romantic relationship with Eileithyia, the goddess of childbirth and oldest daughter of Hera. Hera only tolerates it for Elileithyia’s sake, as she and Artemis really dislike each other.
29. Apollon used to have a one-sided crush on his twin. It was nothing sexual (he takes her virginity very seriously), but more than brotherly. Artemis knows and was really freaked out at first, but forgave him after learning, that he didn’t want to get creepy. When Zeus found out, he helped him to get rid of that love, and his affection for Artemis returned to being healthy brotherly love.
30. Hermes and Dionysos once tried to prank Hephaistos. His wife Aglaia caught them. They never tried again afterwards.
31. Zeus' mental state alone can affect the atmosphere and weather. If he’s calm or composed, so is the weather. If he’s furious, it’s like a hurricane, even if he tries to keep his temper - the weather just gives away, what he’s feeling. Zeus finds this really damn annoying.
32. Zeus, Poseidon and Hades didn’t draw lots to get their domains. They didn’t even choose them. Their domains chose them.
33. The Protogenoi, aka the Primordials, are to the gods, what the gods are to the humans, although the gods don’t worship the Protogenoi. However, the gods respect some more than others. Like the gods, each Protogenos has epithets given to them by the gods.
34. Each race of deities (Protogenoi, Titanes, gods, Daimones, Nymphai, etc.), has their own language. Only a few of the gods are fluent in all of them. Especially the language of the Protogenoi is often hard to decipher.
35. Aphrodite really hates her father Ouranos. Then again, everyone does.
36. Each one of the Olympians has their own mental issues.
37. Hephaistos was born with one deformed leg, but otherwise would have been able to walk. But after falling off Olympos, his left leg was hopelessly damaged and he needed a crutch. Then Zeus threw him off the mountain in a fit and he’s needed a wheelchair ever since, as crashing into an island has left him paraplegic.
38. Dionysos often gets called “baby of the family”, as he’s the youngest Olympian by far. It irritates him a lot.
39. Persephone wasn’t kidnapped. She went into the underworld by herself, because she was sick of everything and wanted to be alone. And as the underworld is really huge, Hades only found her months later by accident. She stayed with him for a while, they fell for each other and got impulse-married. But when Hermes showed up and explained what was going on in the upperworld, Hades decided, that she had to go back at least for a while. They had a dispute with Demeter and Zeus, arrangements were made, they got officially married and ever since then Persephone spent half the year up and half the year down-under.
40. As the goddess of spring, Persephone brings it wherever she goes. So when she leaves the upperworld, she brings spring to the underworld. However, as the queen of the dead, she also has the tendency of taking the influence of the underworld to wherever she goes in the upperworld. Persephone tans easily and is therefore very dark, when she goes down to the underworld. But the lack of sunlight in the underworld makes her grow pale quickly. Then she goes back up and the cycle starts again.
41. Persephone wears her hair short, because she liked it on Ares, when they first met. When she found out, that mortal women had the custom of shearing their hair as a sign of mourning, she was like: Huh ... what a coincidence. Demeter needed a while to get used to her new hair style.
42. Ares remembers the birthdays of all of his (half-)siblings, even those he hates. It’s one of the few nice things he does for them.
43. Aphrodite usually appears to someone as the type of person they find most desirable (x1000). That applies to mortals and used to apply to the Olympians too, until Athena asked her to choose a fixed shape for the gods, because she and the other virgin goddesses couldn’t see her. Aphrodite found this hilarious, but complied.
44. Hephaistos once grew a beard, hoping he’d would look less boyish and less like his mother Hera, but shaved it off again, because he was sick of it catching fire and sparks.
45. Out of all marriages in the Greek pantheon, Zeus’ and Hera’s marriage is only the third most dysfunctional; it’s surpassed by that of Kronos and Rheia and that of Ouranos and Gaia. Most other divine couples have more or less functional relationships.
46. At some point Aphrodite asked Ares to marry her, but he only knew the disaster that is his parents’ marriage and refused.
47. Poseidon has a tendency to make sexist jokes. Athena finds it really unfunny (so do the other goddesses, but they’re not subject of his bad jokes often, so they grin and bear it). Ares also takes offense at sexist jokes, which pleasantly surprised Athena and Artemis, when they found out.
48. Literally every member of the Olympians is LGBTQ+ in some way (even Ares; he’s heterosexual, but demiromantic).
49. Aphrodite loves pinching Hephaistos’ cheeks. He finds this really annoying, but tolerates it, because resistance is futile.
50. Hekatê is powerful and knowledgeable even for a Titan. The Protogenoi blessed her even before she was born. The premature blessing, plus her father being the Titan of destruction caused a mutation. Her eyes are not on her face, but she has several dozens of them magically floating around her head, like an ever-shifting halo. She also ages throughout the night (she’s a child in the evening and an old woman in the morning) and regresses during the day.
61. It doesn’t matter how much at odds the Olympians are, they will stand up for each other and stick together, when push comes to shove.
62. Apart from the 3 top tier taboos (violation of hospitality, cannibalism & family murder), each Olympian has at least one thing they would never do. Be it because they have suffered it first hand or just because they think it’s wrong and it’s below their standards.
63. Zeus is an early bird. The only others on Olympos are Apollon, Ares and Hermes. The others are either night owls or just constantly sleep-deprived/hungover.
64. Ares has a twin sister named Enyo. She’s been banished from Olympos after the Gigantomakhia for remaining neutral instead of supporting her kin. She’s crashing at his home in Thrace and mostly accompanies him into battle, together with Eris.
65. If Hephaistos was able to stand up, he’d be as tall as Artemis (she’s the third tallest goddess).
66. Hera couldn’t handle Ares, when he was a baby and asked Eris to be his nurse. Eris agreed and became his nurse under the fake identity of Thero. A few years later , he was kidnapped by Titanes at the age of seven. Hera gave him back to Eris to protect him, appointing the goddess of strife to be Ares’ guardian. When he was ten, he heard, that he had now a little sister (Eileithyia) and wanted to go back to Olympos. By that time the war was over, so Eris allowed it.
67. Eris sees the bonds between people as golden strings. She carries a sickle on herself. To damage a bond, she grazes it with the sickle, to destroy it completely, she cuts it. The stronger the string, the harder it is to cut.
68. The duty of Harmonia (Eris’ opposite) is to repair the bonds Eris has cut or damaged. She performs that duty even in Elysion.
69. Hera and Aphrodite have one thing in common: They both look like Japanese horror movie ghosts, before their morning coffee. Zeus and Ares both make sure that it’s ready, when they get up. Zeus because his wife creeps him out like that, Ares because he loves his girlfriend.
70. The Moirai, or the Fates, are daughters of Nyx. Klotho (Spinner) has a childlike appearance, Lakhesis (Alotter) is a matron and Atropos (Inevitable) is an old hag. Atropos is mute and speaks sign language, while her sisters translate what she says. Klotho is paraplegic and wheelchair-bound. Lakhesis is the caretaker of both. They’re usually incorruptible and pitiless in doing their duty, but sometimes a god manages to elicit a favour from them (for a price, of course). The thread of life of each living being is a glowing string coming from Klotho’s white hair. A mortal’s life thread is white, a semi-divine thread is silvery, a divine thread is golden.
71. Zeus never really cheated fate, when he absorbed Metis. He’s fully aware, that one day his reign will end and has everything planned out. He simply doesn’t want to step down just yet. Not even he can go against the Moirai and they never spared him his fate - they only accommodated him by giving him more time.
72. Only the Protogenoi have the power to really alter someone else’s fate, but it comes at a hefty price. For example, Gaia changed the fate of Ares, when she sealed Polemos inside of him and cursed him to become the destructive god of terrible war. This led to the child being captured and tortured by Kronos, who hoped to make the personification of war bend to his will (because he’s evil!). The irate Moirai retaliated by granting the original Olympians and their allies a devastating victory over Kronos and sentenced him and his allies to everlasting torment in Tartaros.
73. The Titanomakhia lasted for ten Olympian years, which by mortal standards is a century. By the time it began, Zeus was already married to Metis, so his siblings got to meet both of their saviors. But when he found out that she was pregnant, he panicked and absorbed her. Shortly after the war began, he married Thémis, the Titanis of divine justice and heavenly order, who had joined his side immediately. Together they had the Horai, but broke up, when she learned of Metis’ fate (i.e. Thémis got outta there, while she still could). Afterwards Zeus married Hera, so their first child Ares was born a few mortal decades before the end of the war.
74. Zeus and Hera are a complicated set of parents: one day they don’t give a crap about their children and the next day they would tear the universe apart to keep them save. The feeling is mutual.
75. Apollon isn’t actually that unlucky in love. His failed attempts at romance are just more well-known.
76. Ares is actually quite intelligent. The problem is, that he’s extremely emotional and volatile, has no impulse control and is really hostile as a result of his unpopularity and the things he has gone through.
77. The four virgin goddesses (Athena, Artemis, Hestia and Hekatê) are all asexual, but Athena and Artemis are demiromantic, while Hestia and Hekatê are aromantic.
78. Although Athena is demiromantic, she has never been in love as in she has never formed an emotional attachment other than Storge (familiar love) or Philia (deep friendship). She would, however be capable of Agape (unconditional, selfless love) or Pragma (enduring, grounded love). What she isn’t capable of is Eros (passionate, physical love), Ludus (playful love) and Mania (obsessive love).
88. The incident with Medusa getting raped by Poseidon inside Athena’s temple never happened. I went with the version in Hesiod’s Theogony: Medusa was a Gorgon from birth and together with her sisters a daughter of Phorkys and Keto, two ancient marine deities. She was the only mortal Gorgon, probably because of a mutation. Her affair with Poseidon was consensual. The rape account is a late one and comes from Ovid, a Roman writer, who wrote his Metamorphoses as a jab against the authorities (the Metamorphoses portrait all mortals as hapless victims and the gods as bigger dicks than the Greeks themselves saw their gods).
89. Most of the gods have lived for ten thousands of years. So even though to us it looks like they have one tryst after another, for them there can be centuries between each affair and the next. Of course, a century is almost nothing to them, but you get the idea.
90. The Olympians are very hypocritical. Nothing new here.
91. Hermes is closer to humans than all of the other Olympians. He is also the fondest of them.
92. Ares on the other hand is extremely misanthropic. Which is unsurprising, because he presides over the darker aspects of war and gets to see the worst side of humanity all the time. He considers it a kindness to make them kill each other.
93. Since Ares is Zeus’ only legitimate son and therefore his heir, he has to perform a lot of duties outside of his function as god of terrible war. The duty he hates most is going through his father’s mail, because nobody likes paper stuff. The upside is the confidential information he gets out of it. The other gods are unaware, how much he knows about his father or how much Zeus actually trusts his son with.
94. Zeus threatens his family to send them to Tartaros every time they piss him off too much. But he would never actually do it, because that would mean locking them up together with the defeated Titanes. And despite everything, he loves his family too much to do this and he hasn’t forgot, what they did to his son.
95. Though he has no qualms doing this with his demigod children, if they murder their sons and serve them to the gods for dinner (you know who I mean), or with trouble-makers, who kill their guests and capture Death itself, or people who harass his wife and children.
96. Aphrodite is fiercely protective of her boyfriend and children.
97. Once Aphrodite and Athena had a yelling contest. It was so terrifying, that the others (except for Zeus, who does this with Hera all the time) hid under the table and huddled together in fear. The two women only stopped screaming at each other, when Zeus told them to calm down.
98. Persephone and Hades have no children, mostly because she only likes children, if they’re dead (because they’re quiet). The only reason she agreed to raise Adonis together with Hades was that she doesn’t trust Aphrodite as far as she can throw her.
99. The scythe Demeter uses to reap her corn is the very same one Kronos used to castrate Ouranos. But the only thing that would prompt Demeter to use it as a weapon is, if her family was threatened (like in the Gigantomakhia).
100. Hera and Herakles buried their strife years before Herakles’ deification; when he helped the gods against the Gigantes and saved her from being assaulted by one of them. This is why she agreed to let him marry her daughter Hebe, after he became a god himself.
101. There is one deity the gods hold more sacred than all the others: Kháos, the Primordial Mist. Ze is the most hallowed of the Protogenoi, the Void that predates creation itself. Zir presence is felt in the invisible air we breathe and seen in the gloom of fog and mist. Ze is the atmosphere encircling the earth.

...where’s my universe?
there’s only cloud on my head, shielding the starts above.
You just got back from the funeral of your father in-law when your husband, Baekhyun, released his hand that holds you all the time. He looks beyond sad, but not devastated. After three years of illness, two months being hospitalised, and five days in coma, he knew he’s gonna lose the only parent he had left.
“You want some warm tea?” you asked, the big victorian house you have with him is empty from maids because they will stay at the other part of the house.
He shook his head and left to the study room.
This marriage has been so cold, well, it never warm.
Four years being together, there were only cold in daily basis, and hot whenever you and Baekhyun decided to touch each other. Most of the time is when he went home drunk from office party.
But, there’s one night when both of you sober, but you prefer to blame it on the exoticism of a Coron island in Philipines when you and him had the anniversary gift from your parents.
Baekhyun stepped out his study room and found you sitting at the empty dining table.
“Now that my father has gone…” he said, “let’s separate.”
You didn’t say anything, just staring at his long slim finger which still had the wedding ban.
“He was the one wanting this marriage, the marriage of me with the daughter of his colleague.” He murmurs, “we never wanted this.”
“What about my parents?” you asked.
“You told me they let you decide whatever you want in life. It was my father who pushed us to do this!”
“I know, but it will break their heart too!”
“But until when are we gonna hang on this kind of marriage??” Baekhyun raised his voice and you were startled.
You never told him you had growing some feelings towards him, that’s because you knew, perfectly knew, that you’ll end up find your heart shattered by this workaholic.
“W-what about me?” you carefully asked. Hoping he’ll understand.
Baekhyun stopped, “you…?”
You dared yourself looking at him.
“Ah, right, you’re not working.” Baekhyun pressed his lips into a thin line, “don’t worry about that, I own this company now. I’ll make sure you will have shares, and you can have as many properties as you want… take this house, take the apartment in Gangnam… and the resting villa in Jeju.”
You don’t want any of those, but you nod.
-
The lawyer came several days later, Baekhyun told mr. Kim, the lawyer, that you and him wants to keep this down until everything settles. Nobody is allowed to know.
“But no separation is allowed without any hearing and trials.” Mr. Kim said.
Baekhyun tilt his head, his face shows confusion.
“If you want to split, you can do it right away, sleeping in separate bedroom, living in different houses. But to divorce we have to follow the procedures. And the procedures are; filing the divorce, do the dissolution of marriage such as counselling, and hearing reasons of divorce, then you moved to the first judgement, and then the ancillary matter such as asset separations…”
“That’s… complicated.” Baekhyun mumbled, and again, you’re hoping he’s just gonna live with it, live with you. But he turned to you and said, “it’s fine, isn’t it, we’re gonna file the divorce now and we’ll do as asked, wouldn’t we?”
and again, you nodded.
-
In four years of being together, you wouldn’t fall for him if you found nothing in him. He’s a workaholic, that’s the first impression you got from him, but also, he’s a friendly person—to his friends. You knew them, you knew all his close friends.
Baekhyun loves party, not the wild party but dinner party at home where he’d asked maids to prepare good food and the finest wine before the invited his friends. You’ll be there, sitting beside him, talking to the guest as Baekhyun had you around his arms.
You started to know his character, he’s chatty when he’s in a good mood, his humor match yours and you feel like dying from laughter whenever he’s saying something funny. And those what makes you love party too, because you gotta see the different Baekhyun. He’ll be a warmer man, and a caring husband.
When the last guest left, he’s not immediately giving you the cold shoulder, but he’s back to treat you as a roommate, someone he’s living with.
Now you’re preparing dinner for him while he’s taking shower. And when he’s done, still with damp hair, he sat across you in the dining table.
“Whoa, ribs.” He smiles, he loves spicy ribs while you can’t eat something spicy, but you can always cook yours differently and he was never noticed.
“So,” you said, “I did my paperworks.”
“What paperworks?”
“The divorce documents, and all…” you murmured.
“Oh,” he lift his eyes to your level, “I haven’t, but I’ll do it soon.”
You wish you saw different kind of surprise like disappointment because you seems eager to finish the paperworks faster, but you didn’t find it.
You cut the flesh slowly, while taking a soft breathe, “Baekhyun, do you still remember the first day we met?”
He stop chewing for a second before continuing, “was it in London?”
“Manchester.” You corrected him, “you came to see me…”
“Right, you were studying there.”
“Yup,” you took spoon full of shredded ribs, “I was confused, I mean, that’s the first time I met you and just an hour before, my mom told me that you’re gonna be my fiance.”
Baekhyun laughs, “I know right… my father just found out his illness and he came to see me, he said he wouldn’t be around for long and he told me his last will is to see me settled down for someone.” He sips his water, “never thought I’d be in an arranged marriage.”
“Can I asked you something?”
Baekhyun nodded.
“What was your first impression of me?” you asked.
“Only if you’re gonna answer the same question about me.” He replied.
You nodded.
“I met you in a coffee shop near my hotel, you came in a rush, I still remember… and I thought you looked pretty, prettier than in the picture.”
You knew you’re blushing.
“We talked for a while and you suggested us to have dinner in a restaurant you liked.” He said, “I thought you were a smart and passionate person because the way you explained about your study is fascinating, seems like you enjoyed to be there…”
“I did…” you smiles, “you still think I’m smart and passionate or that impressions disappeared?” you cheekily asked.
Baekhyun laughs, “all I know now you’re good at cooking.” He shove rice into his mouth, “now tell me your first impression about me.”
You’re chuckling before continuing, “you were stand out in your red coat.”
“Oh that damn coat, yeah, ugly, I know… and you knew the story.”
His coat was stolen by someone when he’s just arrived and took it off in a waiting chair to add more layer of sweater, it was winter in Manchester, and the thieve left the chilli red coat beside him.
“You sure it was stolen? Maybe he just took the wrong coat?”
“Mine was black, okay?” Baekhyun playfully rolled his eyes, “and it was Prada.”
Now you laughing with him and it feels good.
-
The next two days, he was busy at the office, all you heard from him was he already sent the document to the lawyer and you feel a pinch in your heart. That little conversation few days a go didn’t mean anything to him.
So you went into the room you shared with him, and start packing some of your clothes. And then you called him.
“Hello?” he appear to be in hurry.
“Not the right time?” you asked.
“Should be in a meeting in ten minutes.”
“Well, uhm, I’ll stay in our apartment in Gangnam…”
“Huh, why?” you know he’s stop doing what he’s doing right now.
“You want me to stay in our house?” you asked, “but we’ll splitting, I mean…”
“Oh,” he cuts you, “I see… okay.”
You feel stupid for wanting him to hold you from moving, but he was never in love with you, and as much as you don’t want to admit that you’re in love with him, you know you do.
-
You met Jongin, he’s Baekhyun’s friend who ended up closer to you than to Baekhyun for the last four years, you’re like a sister to him, and there’s no way you kept secret from him.
“He’s filing a divorce?” Jongin dramatically sighs as he placed his cup of café latte on the table. “what are you gonna do about it?”
You shrugged your shoulders.
“He doesn’t know that you actually like him?”
“Nope…”
“Yeah because you never told him,” Jongin frustratedly glaring at you.
“No point, that would make him uncomfortable and he’ll look for ways to simplified the process and get rid of me as soon as possible.”
Jongin shift his gaze somewhere else, his mouth pouting, “I don’t think he hates you that much.”
“He doesn’t hate me, who says he hates me? He just never loves me. That’s why he’s not gonna hang on this relationship.” You swirl your aglio olio.
-
First mediation is you and him meeting a conselor, and she gave you both a task, to write down the detail ambience on your wedding day.
You wrote about the color that mostly white, the flowers that mostly Lillies and Roses, his birth flower, and your birth flower, you also wrote that many people came and the song, yes, the wedding song was sung by a famous singer who also Baekhyun’s close friend, Chen. He sang ‘come away with me’ by Norah Jones.
Baekhyun wrote about how his shoes killing him and how you walked too slow on the aisle, but you looked so pretty in the wedding dress and he forgave you to make his shoes cut his ankle.
The conselor smiles, she didn’t explained anything but only asked if you and Baekhyun were bestfriend before you two got married. And the answer was no.
-
You already moved to the apartment for a week, and this morning were in the middle of cooking breakfast when your phone ringing. It was Baekhyun calling you.
“Hello?”
“Hey, what are you doing?” he asked you.
“Uhm, cooking.”
“Smells good.”
You chuckled to his attempt jokes, “what’s up?”
“Do you know where’s my blue houndstooth tie?”
“You can’t find it on your closet?” you asked back.
“Nope.”
“Hmm…” you took a moment to think, “oh! I packed it for your business trip this week. You’re going to Ulsan for one night, right?”
“Uh-huh.”
“I packed it with your oxford blue suit, I also put the shirt and dress pants.” You explained, “your pajamas, underwear, and toileteries are already there too, it’s basically ready, so today you might want to wear something else.”
You didn’t hear him answering.
“Baekhyun?” you called him out, “open the closet and you’ll find another tie, did you wear your Armani suit?”
“Yeah, how did you know?”
“I always paired it up with the houndstooth, that’s probably why you feel like it’s the mate… but no, it could actually good with the steel blue tie, with the dots…”
“Oh I think I know which one you’re talking about.” Baekhyun murmured.
“Anything else?” you asked after he went silent for a moment.
“Oh—uh…”
“I’m not rushing you to hang up, I’m just asking, and my boiled egg can wait.” You tried to joke.
He hang up after telling you sorry for interrupting the precious moment between you and the boiled egg. He wear the tie in a rush and walk passing the dining table. He saw the breakfast is served, his usual breakfast that you always made for him is still served with or without you at home. He took a bite and put down the rest on the plate. Yes, the breakfast he usually ate is served, but it taste different.
-
The next conseling was to talk about the favourite holiday which involved each other. “Would be much better if it was the holiday in which only the two of you.” She said.
You wrote about your trip to Istanbul. Baekhyun had a business trip there and you asked him if you could go with him since you never visited Istanbul and he said yes. The business trip was only three days but you both stayed there for another three days. . It was memorable because you got to explored the city and the culture that is very new to you.
Baekhyun wrote Coron island, and you were a bit flustered, not only because Coron is the island you went during your anniversary trip, but also, that was when you slept with Baekhyun while you both are sober. But his explanation was because he loves the beach and the island was used for King Kong movie filming set.
The mediation was short, you were about to call a cab to go home, but Baekhyun offering you a ride.
“Hey, I read somewhere that it’s nice to have a trip before splitting.” He said.
You turned your head to see him, “trip? Like holiday?”
“Yeah, I remembered because we were talked about it.” His gaze stayed on the road.
“Where did you read it?”
He stops at the traffic light and pull his cellphone, “I’ve sent you the article.”
You opened the link and it brought you to akin marriage journal or something, and you read about the point Baekhyun just told you, a couple who is about to go split should spent one last moment together so they won’t hold any grudge in the future. Also, it will be great for bonding, as a friend.
“I can take few days off, my co-workers would understand since father just passed away.” He said.
And you agreed.
-
You both agreed to fly to Japan and Baekhyun booked one Minka for you and him. Minka is the traditional house with tatami mat, sliding doors, and wooden floors. Right on your yard is small onsen facing the breath taking view of mount Fuji. Right before the room door, you saw a beautiful calligraphy, you knew Baekhyun read Japanese and understand it, so you asked him to read that for you.
“Ai wa kodashi no seyo.” He said.
“What’s that mean?”
“Love in a small amount.” He replied.
He saw you still furrowing your eyebrows.
“This quote telling people to not being in love hardly, it will only crash and burn… the secret of keeping the love longer is do not go nuts, love just a little but keep going.” He said while adjusting his robe, he was getting ready to enjoying the onsen.
You didn’t joined him for onsen, it’d be too intimate and that’s not how you rebuild your relationship with him. As friends. So you prepared dinner for you and Baekhyun. Even though you got the whole house, you can still calling a staff to get you groceries you need or simply order some food, and that’s what you did, you order some foods for you and him.
There are sashimi, unagi don, varies of tempura, and sake served when Baekhyun done. He seems happy to finally meet food, and that’s enough to make you happy too.
You feel stupid and silly. Feel your crush on your husband getting deeper meanwhile your divorce papers are being processed.
Your head was lighter from the warm sake, and you saw Bakehyun’s cheek has this pink shades from alcohol too, and you can’t stop thinking how cute he is.
“What are you gonna do after we’re separated?” he asked.
To be honest, you were surprised by his question, not because he asked that but because you really have no idea what you’re gonna do after this. You realised, you never imagine life without him, and this hits you right to your heart.
“I, uh, I haven’t think about it…” you murmured.
“Are you gonna star dating Jongin?”
You lift your gaze to his level, “Jongin?”
“I know you’re not chatty but you always choose Jongin to talk to, I mean, you have me, you can always share anything with me, but you prefer to talk to him. At this point I’m not surprise if you’re dating Jongin behind my back.”
“What the hell?” You almost stutters, “is this, is this why you’re divorcing me??”
He turn away, “not exactly.”
“We’re friends, for God sake, he’s your friend…” you’re trying to sound stable. “Even if we’re separated one day, I would never date him… Gosh, Baekhyun, he’s like my brother!” you knew at this point your face is red from anger, how can he accused you like that. You were mad so you took your sake cup and gulp it, “damn it, Baek… damn you…” now you feel like crying but you hold it because you know you’re stronger than this shit.
He moved from his seat, stood up from the mat to sit beside you and saying, “I’m sorry…” he murmurs, “really…”
You’re just staring empty at your chopsticks.
“Hey, look, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t… I shouldn’t said what I’ve said… and this trip is for us to be friends, okay? Please forgive me?”
friends.
That word sucks. That word can go fuck itself, you want to throw it away from your dictionary if you could.
Baekhyun still staring at you, you can feel it and when you looking at him, he’s smiling. That childish smile you love so much. The one melts your heart and you’re gonna scold yourself later for smiling back.
“Anyway, thank you for always being my savior in the morning…” you knew what he meant.
“No problems, you can always call me to find anything in our—your room,” you corrected youself, “I was the one organizing it everyday so I—“
“Our room.” He suddenly said.
“Huh?” you’re looking at him and you saw disappointment there and you got confuse now.
“That’s still our room… until the ancillary judgment, it’s still ours to call.”
You mentally cursed yourself for cannot think straight but looking at those thin lips which slightly pouting.
“Why…” you mumbled but he caught you on guard, he leaned in and everything feels so fast.
He kissed you.
But you pull away faster. “Baekhyun…”
You both took a moment of silence but suddenly he stood up and pull you on your waist. You gasped but when Baekhyun lift his gaze, his brown eyes looking at you deeper, swimming inside the universe you had on your eyes.
“You’re drunk…” you whispers
“I’m not, and I’m tired of being drunk only to have an excuse to touch you.”
When he leaned in and kiss you, everything is being those blur dots behind him, all you felt was only his thin lips crashing on yours. You kissed him back just because you want it. You’re desperate to feel his lips, crashing, nibling, biting your lips.
When his hands slithering the front part of your kimono, you knew you’d gave him anything, even if he asked for the world.
“Be mine tonight…” he pull away but close enough for you to feel his breath, “…for the last time.”
And that pinch you feel inside your chest re-appear. Your heart telling you no because there’s no way back, you’re just gonna fall deeper and he’s gonna break your heart again tomorrow, but your heart and body wants him. Badly. “I’m yours… tonight…” you murmured.
He took it as the cue to slid down your clothes and expose your shoulder, and his kiss trailing down from you cheek, to your neck and shoulder, “ahh…” faint moan slips out your lips when he suck your collarbone. His lips didn’t stop there, as his hands caressing your body, his lips find its way to your chest, kissing the valley of your breast and all way down without touching your erected nipples.
He such a tease…
“I am…” he chuckled, and you feel embarrassed for saying it out loud unconsciously.
He guided your hand to his kimono belt, silently asking you to take it off, and you did, you run the pad of your finger above his lean muscle when he’s lips back on yours. When your hand above his briefs, you could feel he’s ready. It was hard, and excites your heart you could hear it pounding.
“I wanna go down for you…” he said.
You don’t hate it but you’re not a fan of receiving head too, but tonight, for the last time, you’re just gonna let him do whatever he wants.
“Go down for me…” you whispers and he kissed you hard before pushing you to the floor. His kisses leaving marks on the way down, and the heat you feel just too real, to hot to handle. You knew you’re drenched down there.
A finger slips between the folds and you couldn’t stop yourself from whining, “Baek…ah…”
He replied with a soft hum before other finger joining, running up and down, caught your clit between his slender fingers.
“AH!” a sharp moan slips out when he found your core, get inside and stretch you out, “ah… fuck…” you grunts.
“Two fingers, babe, two… you can handle more…” he hasn’t finished his words when you feel tongue joining down there.
You grab his hair by instinct and you can’t even hear yourself now. His put one other finger and speed up until you feel the heat pooling on your core and you knew you’re near the peak.
“I’m gonna… gonna, ah, Baek, I’m…ah!” you can’t even resemble words.
“Cum, babe, cum…” you screamed his name and surrender, “yeah, like that…”
he creeping above you and wipe his mouth which covered with your juice with his thumb and you didn’t even think of resting, you’re ready whenever he’s ready.
“No is my turn!” you breathlessly said.
“You don’t have to, I wanna be inside you for a long time.” His voice is assertive and you swore you’re gonna obey him forever.
“Then be inside my, now.” You pleaded.
He let go of his kimono and briefs, and guided his hard shaft to your entrance, this time, no teasing, just slip it inside slowly.
“Tell me if I hurt you…” he whispers right on you ear and you got goosebumps erupted all over your skin. “damn it…” he grunts, “damn…”
He pumped you slowly until he feels you’re adjusting with his size. And you can’t leave his eyes even for a second. God you’re in love again and again for him, and this moment you can’t hold a tear rolling down the corner of your eye.
“You okay? Did I hurt you??” he stopped pumping when he saw you crying.
“N-no. no…” you can’t ruin this moment, you can cry under th shower for the next months but not now, “no I’m fine…. I feel good… that’s why…” you’re panting, “Baekhyun, please go harder.”
You saw worries in his eyes but he do as you said, his hips go in a rhythm which became faster and faster as it goes.
“Want me go faster? Huh, babe? Tell me what you want!” he groaned.
“Faster, yeah… ahh… faster…” you bite your lips and cupped your hips to make it stay while he thrust you harder. “oh God, Baekhyun, ah! Fuck…”
“How close are you…??”
“I can… cum… any second now… Baek… please…” you don’t know what you pleaded for but you feel like you have to.
“Cum with me, baby, now, now, babe, now!” one last thrust and he shot it all in you.
He fell above you, kissing you gently before planting pecks all over your sweaty face. Then you met his eyes, you could see how soft was his gaze on you, almost loving. It feels like eternity before he move his lips, “I…” he said, but then he look away, “thank you…”
-
Next day wasn’t exactly easy for you and him, you keep losing words when trying to make conversation with him, and he’s not helping, he spent whole day outside, enjoying onsen again, or reading some books left in the house. And here you are staring at the quotes hang in the wall.
Ai wa kodashi no seyo.
Love in a small amount.
“I’m gonna do it… to anyone I met after you…” you murmured, “I’ve been loving you too hard, it hurts and causing me nuts.”
-
“Why you choose Istanbul?” he suddenly asked when you and him had dinner.
You couldn’t answer right away, but you manage to say, “you remember how I was amazed by Capadoccia, the air balloon, and the view…” and you feel like you have to ask him the same question, just because. “Why you choose Coron?”
“Exactly, why didn’t you choose Coron?”
You shot your eyebrows, “why… I didn’t choose Coron? Why should I choose Coron?”
You swore to God you saw his ear getting red, “Coron was nice…”
“Which part? The one with tall rocks where the King Kong swinging? Or…?”
He snorts, “anyway…” he said, “thanks for packed the clothes for me.”
You didn’t packed for him for this journey, but you did called a maid to make sure Baekhyun brought his medicine to his allergic, “I didn’t—“
“The one you did for my business trip last time.”
“Oh, that…”
“And to be the answer of my questions every morning about where’s my tie, what’s the brand of aftershaved I usually wear, which vitamins I should take…”
You couldn’t help but mumbling, “you need me…”
“Huh?” he gets it but he want you to repeat it.
So you lift your gaze up, “you need me in your life, Baekhyun, why you trying so hard to release me?”
Baekhyun looked surprised, “w-what?”
You sighs.
“You weren’t happy.” He said.
“What?” now you raised your voice.
“You immediately do the paperworks, and during the mediation, you never talked about me. First you were talking about the flower, the color, the guest, you didn’t mention me in your narrative at all. The second one, you were talking about istanbul, the city where we were just pure tourist, no romance in that holiday.”
“Romance?” you gasped, “why would I talked about romance when you’re the one asking me for divorce?”
“Because you weren’t happy! I told you you weren’t happy and I want to make you happy by letting you go!”
“Oh my God! Baekhyun, you never loved me, that’s why you’re divorcing me!”
“I do! But how can I show you my feelings when I know you’re gonna reject me!”
“Whatt???” now you’re confused, “I was in love with you! But you neve—“
“You’re in love with me? Don’t be silly! You’re not in love with me, you avoiding me all the time.”
Now you’re gasping from his accusation, “avoiding you? When?”
“You’re not comfortable whenever I’m around.” He said.
“That’s because I’m afraid you’re gonna find out my true feelings!”
“Why you’re afraid if I found out?” he raised his voice.
“You’re gonna divorce me when you find out that I’m actually love you…”
“Why would I do that??”
“Because you don’t love me.” You tried to hold your voice down.
“Oh come on! Who are to assumed about my feelings like that??”
you stop talking, so does he, and trying to figure out what is actually happening, how dumb are you to not realised anything all this time. To be blinding only by the fact that Baekhyun married to you because he had to. And for being to denial to accept any possibilities that he might grew some feelings towards you too.
“So you love me…” he mumbled. Slowly he snickered that turns into laughter, “why are we so stupid?”
You shrugged you shoulders.
“I almost let you go because I thought that what makes you happy!” he turned to you and lift your chin up, “hey look at me.”
You lift your gaze.
“I love you.”
And the knots in your chest untied just like that, all the pain and sadness, the cloud that has been following you around is disappear. You can see the sky clearer, with all the starts in his eyes.
The universe.
Universe you’ve been searching your whole life is in front of you.
With his thin smile he pulled you closer.
“Let’s go home to Seoul…” he put you inside his embrace, “and burn down all the divorce documents… I’m gonna stay being your husband forever and love you harder…”
“No…” you said, you saw his eyes confused, “Ai wa kodashi no seyo.”
