Alright I feel like my problem with the Eustace Winner name (Sebastian my boy I'm so sorry) is that he's a really major character with depth and development.
From the start AA has had really stupid pun names and I loved them. April May, Redd White? I thought those were the best when I was playing ace attorney for the first time.
But characters who were actually important -- Phoenix, Maya, Edgeworth, von Karma, I could be wrong but their names aren't as stupid of puns as Redd White or my beloved Detective Detective Detective (love you gumshoe). I mean, Wright is literally just a play on right, but it's not a phrase, like I feel Eustace Winner (Useless Winner?) Is supposed to be. And Phoenix is a reference to his nature, how he "rises from the ashes", it's about his general overall character and doesn't feel like a mean joke. To me, naming Sebastian Eustace Winner is like if Edgeworth was named Meenin Evil so you know he's a bad guy when you meet him.
Poor Sebastian though, he has a LOT that happens (I never finished aai2 actually but I want to give him a hug and a mug of hot chocolate), hes a very important character, and it feels like they gave him a side character name? When he has a lot more importance to the story than just one case

Okay the headcanon that Steve can cook is nothing new. Nor is the one that he packs lunches for everyone.
But imagine him packing lunches for Eddie of leftover of dinner or even making him something simple but still great for when he goes to work because idk Eddie, Wayne and Max and living with Steve while the government works on rebuilding the trailer park and they do plan on giving the Munson's a new trailer along with the hush money- I mean compensation.
Anyways, he tends to make lunch for the three of them more than the whole Party obviously. Max always accepts her lunch with an exaggerated eye roll and a, "Thanks Mom." But she always gives Steve a kiss on the cheek before she leaves for school. Wayne always leaves Steve thank you notes since he works night shifts. He also tells Eddie like 5 times a week that Steve, "Is a keeper Eddie. I don't know how, but you gotta marry that boy. I haven't eaten this good in ages." Eddie always accepts his lunches with an over-the-top kiss to Steve's cheek and a, "Thanks Sweetheart!" But Eddie is always dying inside because the guys at the garage think he has a little housewife who makes him these cute little handmade lunches and they tease him but all Eddie can think about is Housewife Steve and those are incredibly distracting thoughts. Thoughts that should not be thought in an auto shop.
Steve and Robin no longer work at Family Video and are currently looking for jobs. In the meantime Steve really is just being the ultimate mom like he knows how. The kids all tell him when they're having bake sales and he always makes them each something different to bring for their clubs. Their club mates and classmates are all obsessed with their treats.
Steve has no clue about this. He's just having a great time going through the box of cookbooks he found in the attic that used to belong to his grandma.
Eventually he and Robin get hired to work in a new bakery that opens up and Steve is over the freaking moon when he gets to bake!

Thinking about the Don Suave scene and what it means in terms of LGBTQ+ representation because my brain does nothing if not torment me with random topics to ramble about on the regular.
Anyway, I just wanted to ramble about why I like the scene but to get it out of the way - the scene can very easily be interpreted in so many different ways, and all of them are valid. I personally see it as Leo having at least some attraction to a man. And the following is an explanation of my own interpretation and thoughts on it and what it means especially for Leo’s portrayal in the grand scheme of things.
Long-winded interpretation under the cut!
Now, to start with, it’s important to me that in the scene Leo looks at Don Suave in the very beginning and then for the entirety of the rest of the time the man is on screen, Leo’s eyes are closed. Yet, in the end, he is still visibly enamored with Don Suave, happily cuddling up to him as he’s being carried away.
You can very easily interpret this as Leo being spellbound and that’s honestly super valid and I believe he likely was at least somewhat in the beginning, but considering how fast he looked away and how he never looked again, I personally think it makes more sense to read it as Leo just finding the man attractive, at least somewhat. (For the record, I personally headcanon Rise Leo as bisexual with a heavy preference for men, but I want to be blunt when I say that any interpretation is valid. Literally any. Ace, pan, gay, bi, none of the above or a mixture of something new literally all of it is more than okay and fair. Hell you could even interpret this entire scene as more romantic attraction than physical and it would still work. Anything goes!! Don’t bother people, guys, really.)
The main reason I take this scene to be at the very least LGBTQ+ adjacent isn’t just because of how it’s portrayed, but because of who Leonardo is. Not in terms of Rise of the TMNT, but in terms of the entire Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™️ franchise.
Leo’s a character who, while changing with each iteration, has still at his core been around for decades upon decades as “the blue one”. One fourth of the team. He’s the one most are going to look at as the Leader, and oftentimes he is the one closest to having the title of Main Character. Not to say the others aren’t just as important, but Leo’s presence in the A plots of basically all TMNT media is often something very main character-esque.
And that’s very, very important to note. Here we have a Main Character of a prolific and decades long-running franchise distributed by a children’s television network. You can play around with his and his brothers’ characters all you like, but there is always going to be challenges to dodge around, especially since this was still in 2018-2019.
For example, you can play around with their designs so long as they’re color coded turtles, but their sexualities? Now that’s tricky.
“But what about Hypno and Warren?” Not main characters and also they’re Rise originals. They have a lot more room to play around with than a character like Leo does. But even talking about main characters in the franchise, you could arguably have an easier time playing around with Donnie or Mikey’s sexualities than Leo or even Raph, as (unfortunately) the former two tend to get more B plots, so they’d likely have had a little more leeway (still not a lot though.)
So, where does this leave us?
It leaves us in a place where outright stating and/or showing undeniable proof of Leo’s attraction to men is very, very difficult. So, workarounds!
Workarounds like the entire Don Suave situation.
To be honest, as left up to interpretation and lowkey and deniable as it is, this whole scene means a lot to me because of who Leo is as a character. It’s just nice when we get so see even the bare bones of representation with characters that have been such a large part of pop culture for decades, y’know? Even if more would be so much nicer, this is better than I thought we’d ever get for these boys.
And, again, literally nothing I’ve said is the only way to interpret it, I’m more than happy when people interpret media on their own honestly, it’s just something I’ve been thinking of lately and I was wondering if others felt the same way.
Whatever you think when you interpret this scene or Rise Leo as a whole, I just thought this would be interesting to think about, even if it was ramble-y, haha.

Dc x Dp Prompt #5
Demon Twin AU only Damian never had a blood son phase and has “biological siblings” (how absurd):
Damian would like to start by saying he is not at fault for this… miscommunication. Truly, how was he to know sharing the same blood as Jasmine and Danyal would make them “siblings”? Not once has anyone mentioned such absurd claims. He has never and will never treat either of the two the way he would Richard or any of his other siblings, but apparently sharing the same donors when being created automatically makes people siblings.
Worse, father is upset at him and mother for “hiding away” two of his “children” from him. Richard and Thomas will not stop staring at him. Todd, Brown, and Drake will not stop laughing. Cassandra has not stopped looking at his body language since this whole encounter started. Alfred is giving him his patented disappointed face he oh so hates but what is he to do?
Damian was not hiding anything or anyone. Jasmine and Danyal have not nor will they ever be his siblings. They are the children of Jack and Maddie Fenton just as Richard and the rest of them are Bruce’s children. Blood has nothing to do with family. They are at best “god-siblings” or “cousins” if father refuses to believe they are simply childhood companions.
There is barely a hint of emotion as father purses his lips while his siblings continue looking on at him in disbelief. Damian is not understanding why they are having trouble comprehending such simple logic. It is common sense to know that siblings are the children at least one of your parents have raised other than yourself. Parents are the people who raise you. Talia raised him therefore she is his mother. He lives with Bruce who is now raising him and therefore he is his father.
Neither Talia nor Bruce raised Jasmine or Danyal, therefore they are not siblings. It is merely coincidence that he shared blood with both Bruce and Talia. After all, every time he’s visited Amity Park, most children look nothing like their parents. How can it not be coincidence when it is clearly far more normal to raise children who don’t share an ounce of blood with you, than those who do.
How can it not be normal when Jack Fenton took Jasmine in so easily knowing he didn’t share any dna with her? Even more so with Danyal who doesn’t share even a drop of blood with either Jack or Maddie. Look at yourself father. Out of all your children, only one shares your dna. Do not try and pin this on Damian for being the only sensible person in this family. Blood siblings, ha, don’t make him laugh.

Listen, I'm not done on absolute batshit shenanigans with Lockwood & Co plus Skull.
Imagine this, its late at night, they're chasing down a dangerous specter. They come across an abandoned Night Cab, the driver likely fleeing the terror and decide to commandeer it. None of them are at the legal driving age in Britain and -despite all the laws they break - they are all very concerned about this. They turn to Skull who is being bounced around a plastic shopping bag because they'd been in a rush leaving the house. Not only is he a few years older than them biologically but he's also like, over a century lol.
He and Lucy bicker in the street for a minute while the others listen awkwardly to the one sided debate. Skull gives in so the five of them pile into the car and Lucy straps the half broken into the front seat with the belt across him. Skull - being a dead Victorian boy with NO idea how to drive a car or how traffic laws work but also an agent of chaotic evil - makes an absolute mess of driving.
The kids are screaming in the car as it speeds through the streets, skids through hairpin turns, probably runs red lights and breaks people's side mirrors on purpose. The police are on them before long, Lucy is hissing at Skull to just keep going even as the little shit puts on his hazards and pulls off to the side. Imagine you are the officer walking up to that dented, haggard looking cab.
It is positively coated in frost, one of the few visible signs of an active haunting. You peer inside to find 4 brightly smiling youths with grave dirt on their cheeks and rapiers across their laps. Agents, obviously but with no adult supervisor in sight. One darling, pretty girl bats her eyelids and asks is there is problem because they really are in quite the hurry. You look down to find the car is driving seemingly by itself, the wheel and radio dial turning on its own. There is an old looking, cracked skull buckled into the drivers seat. One girl in the back is grinning unsettling wide because she is the only one who can hear the skull explaining to the officer that he was just taking his children to the sacrifice pit to offer them as tribute to his dark lord. You decide this is well above your pay grade and wish the agents and their?? driver???? a good night. As they drive off, you decide its finally time to take up your brother's offer and move out with him to Australia. Britain just gets weirder every year.

Reading the webtoon and…
Does this imply that Kim Dokja also tried to write a questionnaire for her to fill in since she wouldn’t speak to him, that either he 1) never gave her in the end (especially if he couldn’t find her after she was released) or 2) gave it to her and she STILL refused to answer?
Because that is so so so so awful. It was already bad but if he tried so many ways to get her to speak and she still gave him no response, regardless of her reasoning… isn’t that still directly choosing to cut herself fully out of his life? Why in the hell did she lie for his sake and allow him to visit her if she wanted to never speak to him again?
I know everyone claims Kim Dokja is just like her in sacrificing himself for loved ones, but at least he tries his best to stay with them and to keep them in his life. He still chooses sacrifice, but it’s not because he intends to never return. He always returns (even if much later than planned).
The only time this differs is with 51%, when he STILL tried his best to stay with them - at least as much as he could.
I sometimes like Lee Sookyung, but I am mostly still SO mad at her for completely ignoring her child since he was 8 years old. Especially when he must have looked like shit any number of times from being mistreated and bullied by family, friends, army, employers.
But maybe that’s just the fragment in me being eternally pissed with her. She DOES love him, but like he says in the webtoon in this chapter - maybe such truths are painful enough to be false anyways, because they’re just SUCH bullshit. That’s not how affection should work, if you actually care about someone and want them to be happy.
