i know it came out a few years too late for tough and sweet, but i'm currently thinking about john and gale fucking in gale's truck with sex on fire playing on the radio 👍🏻 some quiet country road, windows rolled down because it's too hot to deal with them fogging up, muggy summer air, clothes half–off, hands sliding on sweat–slick skin, etc

Sparkstember Day 15: Interior Design (Just Got Back From Heaven)

So I'm just gonna go the easy route today and link back to my earlier post about this album, because it covers mostly everything I have to say about it. An update on my fav songs which is that Just Got Back From Heaven and A Walk Down Memory Lane have also joined their ranks since (and did I really not give a shoutout to So Important last time? Well, doing that now!). All in all I'm really fond of this album and I think it deserves more love!

Absolutely begging you to write the Hob/Dream cheeseburgers and vengeance story

Back when I was doing Spotify Wrapped Prompts (remember those???) I made a list of what I would do for each of them before answering the actual asks (ie following the assignment before proceeding to not follow it at all). I am banned (by myself) from continuing them until Seventies San Francisco AU is done, since it was a Spotify Wrapped prompt before it was a 20K+ WIP, from an anon who has brought a curse upon my house (affectionate). BUT one of them, to finally arrive at the point, was Romance Dawn by Radkey:

canon verse between meetings, hob is a union organizer, hob is in the punk scene, hob is setting fires or putting them out, hob is at shows, hob is getting in fights, and the fierceness of it all transmits to his feelings for his stranger, and then one day he sees him, thinks it’s a dream (is it a dream?), he kisses him, tastes blood, something is wrong, wakes with vague memories, goes running back and back again, until he gets it out of him, where are you, fawney rig. and it’s maybe a fishbowl destruction fic. and like. london punk/hardcore scene & thatcherism & trade union strikes. burning down fawney rig. sort of green room energy but holy war against the burgesses. smashing it. saving dream. not even i. we. we will salt the fucking earth here.

Anyways, I think the cheeseburgers and vengeance would fit in great with that and Hob and his punk family deserve that experience.

im gonna say something so controversial yet so brave.. I do not see the appeal in chappell roans music. she does so much for it to be so boring.

#n this is not about her being wlw im bisexual and I fuck girls okay before anyone wants to put my head on a pike #this is about how truly i do not care about the album whatsoever #her 80s visuals do not match her sound except for good luck babe which does match #but all of midwest princess does not go with the 80s looks #and even songs like hot to go or super ultra graphic modern girl are boring because they say literally nothing #tye lyrics are nonsense smashed between a decent track its a nothingburger of music #and i think shes gonna suffer from the sophomore slump SO badly after this album #because its going to be hard to recreate both a very rapid rise in success and the virality of songs like hot to go or glb #kita chats ☆ˎˊ˗

was thinking of expanding further on that post i made a while back where i said a lot of the clothes grunge musicians wore werent 90's fashion, they were handed down or thrifted 60's and 70's stuff so a lot of attempts to recreate 90's grunge "fashion" in a gentrified way these days actually just look like shitty watered down recreations of 60's and 70's fashion

#i have. a lot of images to use as examples.#sorry. new mudhoney album has reignited my obsession with grunge from when i was 14.#you are gonna have to deal with it #anyways when people think grunge clothes i hate that all they think is flannels and ripped jeans and converse #yeah ok all the most famous photos of kurt cobain look like that #but theres way more to grunge than that #anyways. reiterating that there actually is no ''grunge fashion'' thats just what poor people looked like in seattle in the 80s/90s
