I spent the last couple weeks debating whether I should keep getting humble bundles because some of the book bundles they sell are about shitty AI crap. Today I finally decided to make a list comparing the pros and cons, and at-least for the moment I think it's still a net win, but I don't blame anyone else who stops supporting them because of this. I do recommend at the least, leaving comments and feedback criticizing their endorsement of that AI shit.

The pros: - I get to support charity - I get to access DRM-locked steam games without giving money to the scummy publishers who put that DRM in the games - I get to give away my unused game keys to folks and thus also help people who can't afford games

The cons: -They sell AI book bundles which is really gross

In spite of the higher amount of pros than cons, the situation still has me feeling frustrated and conflicted. I really wish tech and game companies would just stop doing shitty things, it's exhausting. DRM, NFTs, lootboxes, microtransactions, and now all this aI crap. Fuck off with all that shit! I know there's no way to achieve absolute moral purity but it would be nice to be able to buy *anything* without feeling gross about it sometimes. :/

all the contempt i've seen online today for nintendo daring to release AAA games in the $80-90 price range is setting my teeth on edge. games truly have not gotten as expensive as they should've over the years once you start looking at inflation, and that's before taking into consideration larger teams and bigger expectations for what AAA means :/

Revan decides they want Anakin as a Sith apprentice how cooked is he

i mean. even setting aside all of my accurate and true and galaxy-brained personal lore about revan, they are someone who canonically was so effective + charismatic as a leader that only a SINGLE jedi who followed them into the mandalorian wars left them at the end of it— the jedi exile. and putting the jedi aside, a large swath of republic forces followed them as well. not just into the unknown regions, but also to creating their own faction and waging war against the republic. if revan wanted anakin as a sith apprentice he would be more cooked than he was at the end of episode iii. and that's just with what we're working with via canon.

that being said i think the window of revan's life in which they'd want anakin as a sith apprentice is very small. revan's skill is in turning people to their side, not the dark side.
