yes! i was very anxious they would get the Heterosexual Marriage Endgame which cc (and YA writers in general) love so much so i was relieved when they didn't!! apparently this is a somewhat unpopular opinion but from the beginning i felt like ending grace's storyline with her in a conventional romance, especially a straight one, would be a massive disservice to her story and trauma (and a bit of a strange arc of christopher to have, since his story wasn't centered around romance at all. also he's aro in my head but thats just me). while reading ChoG and CoI i didn't think it was going to go in that direction and all the gracetopher shipping ppl were doing online felt like it was based on the family tree more than canon material so i wasn't particularly worried by that but then when CoT came out and they kept getting closer the kill bill sirens did start playing in my head lmfao
