#kingdom hearts 3 #kh3 #the caribbean #scenery #my gif #my favorite world in the game #it's so beautifully crafted and fun to explore #they did such a good job with port royal i'm no expert on the movies but i'm sure it's a super faithful recreation #there are so many lush islands to find with caves full of treasure. it's like a real pirate adventure #i'm glad that we're able to dive into the water because i really like underwater scenery and being able to freely swim around #i love sora's pirate outfit and that he gets a ship of his own to sail. he has such a blast in this world #the banter between sora donald goofy and jack while on the ship is a lot of fun too #big fan of how they integrated the organization's search for the black box with the chest that contains davy jones's heart #gotta love when the main story ties into the plot of a disney movie #the final cutscenes in this world are insane and so well rendered that they're almost indistinguishable from the movie #i sent screenshots to friends asking if they could tell the difference and they couldn't #not that i'm complaining because it really elevated the experience but why did they go so hard

anyways....... i love the idea of reiju being best friends with usopp, she doesn't rly get to be herself around her siblings so she can just sneak into the lab and let herself relax around usopp who doesn't judge or expect anything from her. She slowly stops being afraid of her brothers and starts to take sanji's side more often, and usopp steps in too,, more yelling at them from behind reiju but u get the point LOL (he has immunity from being an "important asset" to the Doctor,,, )

more about sanji's germafication! it's basically what happened at wano when he used the raid suit, since he's now considered suitable to go on missions he's given the raid suit along with his siblings and turning into stealth black over and over again is slowly draining him of his emotions and memories. basically a reprogramming !! usopp doesn't know that he's contributing to it by working in the lab on maintenance and the pills HAHA

why's usopp working at the lab in the first place?? the Doctor's kind of sick of having to interact with "incompetent" clones and wanted a lil helper with emotion, a mind of his own, and creativity. he still expects usopp to be obedient but in reality he's trying to create a clone who has usopp's mind but with a stronger body... thus sogeking is born! (more art and info of him is in the previous post)

#my art #this is how I think theyd present themselves either in person or in headspace. the slouchers <3 #sifs outfit is simple; the boots i always give them (but with star laces for funsies); loose sweater; simple pants #the pants are Meant to be jeans but isat doesnt Specifically Have Jeans so. theyre just Pants.#the sweater is slightly looser bc sif doesnt seem like a Form Fitting Clothes kinda guy to me but hes Trying to be more open #on particularly good days theyll roll the sleeves up or wear a sleeveless one methinks #even if everyone Knows abt the self-harm scars its hard to Look at them.#i also associate them being more open with them not wearing an eyepatch. esp bc hes the only one of the three to go without it #for mal (or 'ami' as i like to call it) i wanted smth reminiscent of a mourning outfit bc mal du pays means homesickness #and i picked 'ami' as a nickname bc ami means friend :] at least according to my basic translator. i dont speak french <3 #ami's outfit being dark is also reminiscent of the inversion thing its got going on in canon.#ik the veil is starred in the original but i think ami would want the fewest reminders of home. on account of The Issues #(actually if i can come back to sifs laces sif also has issues with reminders of it bc of the memory loss but the shoelaces are His Choice—#—which gives them a form of control over it and they can keep it subtle or undo it if he wants. which makes it easier)#anyway. i put amis hair in an updo and smoothed the hat bc i think ami wants to be Unremarkable. Unknown. so it keeps its silhouette Simple #(it still keeps the pins. theres smth comforting abt them. they shine like stars and theyre not stars and theyre not Home. but theyre You.)#and i kept the long hair i gave loop. dont ask me why its so long when the canon hair is short. maybe their hair kept growing over the loop #OH and i drew ami in a side profile bc Silhouette and also bc i think itd make an effort to keep people away from its blind spot #andddd i think thats about it? plus i actually managed to keep this one within a reasonable timeframe.#if their hair changes lengths/the proportions change between drawings. no they dont 💛 peace and love and body craft #OH AND YOU FINALLY GET TO SEE WHAT I MEAN ABT SIFS BOOTS BC THESE ARE THE BOOTS I GAVE THEM ON MY REGULAR DESIGN ARENT THEY NEAT #i did actually try to give sif a different font but nothing Works for them like the pixel font. i cant explain it.#i think 'ami' would be a nickname that mira gives it. bc. shes Fantasy French. and its a sort of 'youre more than your yearning/loss' thing #me every time i think abt sifstem: yeah they just rotate in my head. nothing major #me every time i talk abt sifstem: oh hey im almost at tag limit again #au Good what can i say

i think i officially set my sights on a therapist and i'll be contacting her very soon?? therapy was legitimately not on my 2024 bingo card (or in the cards for me at all) but here we are????

#this blog always had a focus on social science and detangling feelings and experiences. like it's basically been serving as my diary #bc this blog has always been my main outlet for it. i hate talking feelings to anyone irl. it's a bad habit but i hate it #so it was a game changer and helped me grow up sooo much. esp supplemented w other people's experiences.#being raised by a stoic engineer mother who's very much warm but also not very good at feelings at times has caused me to suppress SO much #compounded w being the eldest daughter. like that is a damning sentence in and of itself #tumblr just gave me an outlet for stuff like this. and every social media is essentially a highlight reel of ppl's best moments.#tumblr is the opposite. i've always loved that too whether it was in the form of humor or more earnest posts #could i work through my own issues by myself? yes probably #and my blog will always have that facet even if i get a therapist #but a therapist's input. just a professional's input. will expedite a lot of improvement for me i think #this has been a critical time period for me anyway bc i'm budgeting my whole schedule for once vs being handheld by uni deadlines #and it's just gonna keep getting more and more intense from here bc i'm truly pushing my comfort zone more than ever before #it just feels like the right call even tho i'm lowkey nervous ab it bc i HATE talking feelings in person.#this therapist will not fall for my trying to deflect by asking her about her life. which. usually works on my friends <3 #we will see. a therapy arc is coming very soon basically #p

While I was rewatching the first Zexal episodes, I noticed something interesting: aside from stuttering his name the first time they met, Yuma never referred to Astral by his name until episode 6. He only referred to Astral as “ghost”, “spirit”, or “this guy”, or simply “you” when talking directly to him. At the beginning of episode 5 Yuma is saying to Kotori and Testuo that Astral had repeatedly told him the day before to call him Astral. Furthermore, since Kotori and Tetsuo didn't have any idea that Astral had a name, shows that Yuma had never said his name while they were around.

I don't think that being called like that was a bother to Astral initially, (he wasn't even sure that Astral was his name when he crashed on Earth), but, probably, after knowing the name of the place he was from (and that he had a mission to fulfill), he started to have a more strong sense of himself and wanted Yuma (who was the only person who could see him) to call him by his name (and also wanting Yuma's friends to use his name and not calling him “ghost”).

In this scene, Yuma says Astral's name, but he is just repeating what Astral had said to him.

The first time Yuma calls Astral by name properly and directly to him is during episode 6, after Tokunosuke took control of Leviathan Dragon and Astral's condition worsened. And after that, he calls Astral's name two more times, trying to get him to answer.

Astral, instead, tries to use Yuma's name from the start... with poor results.

But in the next episode, when talking to himself, he refers to Yuma with his correct name (while Yuma calls Astral a ghost or similar even when he was talking to himself).

Astral calls Yuma with his correct name for the first time during episode 3, when he tells Yuma to duel against Mr. Ukyo because he has a Number.

It's kind of ironic that it took more than one episode to make Yuma and Astral say the other's name, seeing how the more the show progresses, the more these two end up screaming each other's name.

#if we really want to be precise Yuma also said Astral's name when he presents the next episode (like the title of episode 3)#but let's only count the times he said in the show #I have to say this: I find really funny that the first time Yuma call Astral's name is when Astral is in danger #when I noticed this my first thought was: “Get ready Yuma because this is just the start”#Maybe this is nothing new but I wanted to do a post about it anyway #because I love these two so much #and their relationship is so interesting to me #especially because theirs wasn't an easy start #and that makes what happens later in the series a lot more rewarding #(but I have to say that I loved them from the beginning)#from “this guy” to “my everything”#From Astral's perspective is interesting to notice his initial lack of interest in being called anything but his name #to then repeatedly ask Yuma (and his friends) to call him Astral #It's a step forward on his path to considering himself a person #(and Yuma listened to him and stopped calling him ghost)#astral zexal #astral yugioh #yuma tsukumo #zexal #yugioh zexal #yu gi oh zexal #ygo zexal

it is with great pleasure that i bestow upon you my highly-biased decision to assign you the american state of...

here's some fun facts! -michigan is the only us state that has two parts, a lower peninsula (where most of the population resides) and an upper peninsula (who everyone affectionately refers to as "yoopers"). you'd think this would result in a rivalry with the state that's connected to the UP, but actually, most people fucking hate ohio, one of the states directly underneath us.

-the fun thing about the shape of michigan is if anyone ever asks you to specify the location of somewhere within the state, you can simply hold up your hand to mimic the shape of it and point. everyone does this and it's very cute and efficient every time.

-michigan is called the Wolverine State even tho it hasn't had a confirmed stable population of the creatures since French fur trappers first started killing wildlife to sell for hats and coats ~200 years ago. we do got a FUCK ton of white tail deer though, and deer hunting season is a big enough deal here that in more rural areas, the first day of hunting season can be an excused absence from school.

-if you haven't heard of the great lakes before i highly recommend reading at least the wikipedia article about them. they are the second largest group of freshwater lakes on the whole planet and contain 21% of all of earth's freshwater. so when the inevitable water wars come, we're like, so set.

-you must root for the detroit lions. everyone roots for the detroit lions. when the detroit lions lose, everyone mourns. the detroit lions suffer for our sins, and we both resent and love them for their strife.

-detroit isn't scary. people will say it's crime-ridden but they're just racist and hate homeless folks. be very defensive of detroit at all times.

-michigan's three largest indigenous tribes are the Ojibwe, the Ottowa, and the Potawatomi. michigan is chock full of native names and it rules. say em with me: Tecumseh. Mackinaw. Okemos. Kalamazoo. Ypsilanti is a fun one too but named after a greek dude so i don't count that one

-i do regret to inform you that people up here get real defensive about three very unimportant things: calling it "pop" and not "soda", the assertion that our potholes are the worst in the country, and the application of ranch dressing on pizza. i leave it up to you which side of each fence you choose to lie upon.

anyway. yep! my headcanon is that the mushroom series of heartless were essentially like early versions of ansem. experiments to see if creating a heartless with a will of its own were even possible. (the mushrooms just wanna play charades and go on nice walks! they wont steal your heart because their instincts tell em’ to! they’ll only snatch it if they feel like it <3) how can you make an “immortal” successor if they cant even understand the research you left for them? so thats why they were created!

The second hand gender euphoria from talking about my blobro's gender and self-expression is so real

#thylacines can talk #originally Flower being more feminine was half out of spite for people who call THK a 'he' but now it just genuienly makes me happy #talking with my friends about Flower asking to be called a princess and PK and WL in turn asking if they have a daughter a son or a child #its just AAAAGH!!! MAKES ME SO HAPPY. It's so delightful!! Flower deserves to be seen and heard and have their opinions be prioritised #and a little bit of gender euphoria. as a treat.#the scenario in question is basically PK going to fight the Radiance and Flower goes to help him and they find out AFTERWARDS that Flower's #alive when he asks WL why she sent them after him and she's confused and says she didn't. she assumed he took them with him. and at this #point Flower decides to drop their mask (figurately and literally) and apologises for lying and going against his orders but they couldnt #let him do this by himself. theres a moment of shock and then Flower smiles shyly and goes 'hi mum hi dad' and get tackled into a hug <3 #its overall super happy and fluffy and no angst or anger for a change. the entire convo happens as the two are gushing about yheir baby #being alive after it fully hits them and they call them their little prince and Flower asks to be called a princess instead #they immediately correct themselves and PK gushes about having two darlih princesses and WL asks if that means theyll wear dresses and gets #all excited about the prospect of getting them dresses and matching with them #and then they ask if they have a child a son or a daughter and Flower gets SO giddy and replies a child but theyd love it if they call them #their son or daughter from time to time. And Flower just gets smothered in cuddles and kisses and called their beutiful son and handsome #daughter and darling little girl and they're SO happy and crying #that entire scene makes me so incredibly happy you have no idea
