I'm trying to re-find a fic that is a bit of a crossover between TGCF and MDZS but with Wei Wuxian reincarnated as Xie Lian with all of his memories intact, Lan Wangji was reincarnated as Hua Cheng but didn't have memories of his past life. Hua Cheng, Mu Qing, Feng Xin later reacts to Xie Lian's past life as Wei Wuxian after an accident. I wanted to find two fics if that is okay.

A) The plot of the first fic: LWJ is a controversial singer. He’s known for his explicit music videos, and is openly gay. I think the fic author was representing the mindset of early 2000’s. His manager is Jiāng Yanli, they both bonded over WWX, who’s presumed dead but is missing. It’s also LWJ fucks. He has sex with various people, one of them being his background dancer but he doesn’t date anyone because he’s in love with WWX. WWX is actually living in hiding, (from Meng Yao). He returns and LWJ and him get together. There’s a whole car chase scene as well when he goes back to get Yuan and the rest of the Wens with Jiang Cheng.

B) The second fic, I don’t remember much from it except a scene that’s been nagging me. It’s a WangXian getting back together fic. Basically WWX returns and while LWJ doesn’t give into him right away, they still end up getting back together. LWJ had a hard time with WWX leaving. The scene that I’m referring to is in which Lwj comes home, and wwx mentions to him he and LXC spoke. LWJ panics because he’s afraid wwx will leave him again and I recall the dialogue being something along the lines of

“No, he had no right” or “he doesn’t get to take you away from me again” he starts crying I think.

WWX calms him down by saying he’s never leaving him again no matter what, even if LXC wouldn’t approve he doesn’t care for others and the only one who matters is LWJ.

Hiiii! I am the person who asked for 2a and 2b in your May 2nd post. The first one is the one I was desperately looking for! Thank you so much for your hard work. 2b isn’t either of those, but much similar. I wish I could provide more context, but I don’t remember much. I believe the scene was Lan Zhan coming home and Wei Ying coming to the doorway mentioning how Xichen called and they spoke, Lan Zhan could’ve been hiding about wei ying coming back I think. Lan Zhan panics thinking wwx will leave him because he assumes xichen was mean to wwx over the phone and he’s scared he’ll leave as a result but wwx calms him saying no matter what he’ll never leave him again. I’m sorry for the trouble, thank you once again for your support!!

3. I read this ff one time from sizhui pov. it’s essentially about lwj in mourning clothes during wwx death . he’s commenting on the color of the robes being white and how there’s no blue. I have never been able to find it again. it;s short, maybe one or two chapters.

I do remember a scene where sizhui asks Lxc about the robes and xichen responds “he used to wear blue, sizhui, like me” — may not be the exact quote but something similar.

7. Fic Finder ask here, I’m looking for a fic set in the cloud recesses study arc era, it’s cannon divergent and WWX & LWJ get together during cloud recesses, I think they’re engaged as well. This fic is also a long fic. The only concrete scene I can place to this fic was WWX & LWJ having horny teen semi clothed sex in the woods where WWX is on LWJ’s lap and they’re found by NHS who clearly thinks he just walked in on them kissing and thought it was fine for them to be doing that, he just felt awkward walking in on them doing it. (So this is another point into the maybe they’re married of fiancés @ that moment in the story) I can’t remember the name of the fic, and it’s haunting me.

For Fic Finder: I am looking for a canon-era fic where Wei Wuxian was some kind of god or divine being and the thing I remember is that he had to bond with a demon/beast-man to balance his divinity(?). Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan came to him as an example of one such duo: Song Lan was the demon half and he explained that the demons make a contract with the god to protect the god in life and then the demon gets to eat the god’s body after death. The thought of getting eaten scared WWX. I am pretty sure this fic took place during the Sunshot Campaign because WWX was fighting through some war and he was unbalanced because he hadn’t found his other half. I could also have this flip flopped and maybe LWJ was the divine one and WWX was the demon half? If anyone remembers this fic I would love to find it again! Thank you!

Hi again, I just sent in a fic finder ask about a divine WWX having to bond with a demon? I think I might have gotten two fics confused: a war fic and a religion fic. 17. Hi! I'm trying to find a fic I read where in the present day Lan Huan & Lan Zhan are at a cultivation conference. They're walking back to their hotel when ancient fantasy China Wei Ying falls out of nothing and lands on the pavement right in front of them. It turns out, Wei Ying fell off the cliff at Nightless City but instead of dying, he somehow ended up 600 years into the present. I remember that the Lan brothers immediately help him - he's fascinated & freaked out by modern life at first (both the hotel elevator & modern plumbing in particular). Um, a lot of cultivation history has been lost over time & i think WY helps with that. I also remember it turns out that Lan Zhan is the reincarnation of original LZ. I think that several other characters were reincarnated also & Mo Xuanyu is another person who somehow time-traveled to the present. I know it ended up Wangxian. I think there's a sequel where they eventually adopt A-Yuan & a little girl who is Yanli reincarnated. Please help! I can't remember the fic name & all my keyword searching hasn't worked out.

18. Hi! i have been trying to look for a fic that I forgot for quite a while. The thing is, i am not sure if it is a threadfic OR an ao3 fic. The only thing that I could remember was wwx and lwj was travelling together, possibly on a honeymoon after their wedding; arrange marriage. or they could just be going on a night hunt ToT the biggest premise of this was that lwj was undeniable attracted to wwx and took a peek of him while bathing and wwx was so smug because he knew he would look. @freshmilk-00

19. Okay so there's a fic I read when I first got into MDZS about two years ago and the memory of it suddenly hit me like a truck and I /need/ to reread but I cannot, for the life of me, find it. I've gone through what feels like 100 pages of my history on a03 without luck so here I am. Okay, as far I can remember, It was still a WIP when I read it roughly two years ago, but that was two years ago so I could be wrong. Anyway, it was a time travel fic but /not/ because of canon events.

However, it was canon complacent. Basically, sometime after the end of the series, there was some really bad demonic (?) event that killed most of the world, including LWJ. WWX hadn't reached immortality but he had reached the next level of cultivation, and therefore now had a perfect memory. I know there was one scene where he realized he'd hit that breakthrough (and I think broke down?) because he was recreating the ancestral plates of the Lan and realized he knows every name even if he shouldn't.

Anyway, in this future, the remaining cultivators are able to link together to sort of super boost their cultivation? (Idk if that's the best description) and tie it to both Wei Wuxian and Wen Ning, who send their consciousnesses back in time to... I think it's when they were at the Gusu lectures. (I do not remember if this was novel or cql verse).

They gather the world (Minus Wen Ruohan and his people) to tell the story of the future but using titles people wouldn't yet have (like Yiling Patriarch. Ghost General. Headshaker. a/n: ofc i had to post this on his birthday. im extremely sorry for this. i hope this lived up to the exception and hype of the first one.

warnings: blood, injury, sad

Part 1

Enjoy!

An obsession is an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person’s mind, a fixation to a troubling extent. Ever since meeting her, Trevor had been infatuated. He was caught up in the craze of love and he never wanted to let it go. It becomes dangerous when an obsession becomes known to the world.

“Mr. Zegras we need you to come with us.”

“No. I. No.” His heart raced a million miles an hour as panic and fear set in. His breathing began to rapidly increase, taking in more air than he needed at one time. His legs felt weak, nearly failing him as he tried to process just what was happening.

This wasn’t happening. No. It couldn’t. He loved her. He could never do anything to harm her. Impossible.

But nothing’s impossible.

“Please. How is she?” Jamie inquired of the doctor. He watched as the officers struggled to grab a hold of his friend. He was mesmerized at the thought that Trevor could have done something. It never crossed his mind that his friend could do something like this. Obsessed people do crazy things all the time though.

“I can’t disclose anything about Miss Y/L/N unless you're next of kin or anything like that -” The doctor was going on.

“I’m her cousin.” Jamie blurted out the first thing that came to mind. Shit. Maybe he should have said brother. It was a tricky situation he was trying to navigate. He just knew she needed someone with her since her superstar hockey player lover was currently being taken away. “The rest of her family is on the other side of the country. I’m the closest thing she has right now.”

The doctor nodded and beckoned him to follow him back to see Y/N. The medical professional told him of obvious injuries, a badly broken nose, a major facial laceration and a concussion. Jamie was told of the amount of blood pooling underneath the skin of her stomach. They were still waiting on a couple of tests to figure out the best plan of action on how to deal with it.

“Jamie? Where’s Trev?” Y/N’s eyes went wide when he approached her. She looked confused as to why her boyfriend’s best friend was there and not her boyfriend. He could tell he might not be exactly wanted at that moment. But he was the one she was going to have to settle for right now.

“He’s a bit busy right Y/N/N. How are you feeling?” A stupid question to ask. Jamie knew how she probably felt. He probably shouldn’t tell her what was going on. The revelation would do more harm than good.

“Where is he? I want him. I need to talk to him.” She pleaded, starting to get a bit worked up when things seemed to not be going her way. Jamie felt bad. He didn’t like seeing her this way. It wasn’t like her.

“They’ve taken him in for questioning. They think he may have had a hand in your attack.” The words came out like vomit. He couldn’t stop. Stupid.

“Trevor. No. He didn’t do anything. No.” Y/N coughed. Red sticky liquid erupted from her body again as monitors went crazy and Jamie was removed from the room. This wasn’t good.

Once Trevor was brought into a secluded room. He was questioned on everything that had to do with his and Y/N’s relationship, if there were any kind of fights lately, and things like that. He was asked about his profession and things that could potentially set him off on the ice.

“What happened to your hand?” The man nodded to the red mark that ran along on Trevor’s knuckle.

Trevor didn’t respond. He recalled the incident from a couple of days ago. It wasn’t anything major. Something hit his hand. The thing broke and left him with a mark on his hand. End of story.

“I’m going to give you one last chance to confess to what you did.”

Trevor was exhausted, tired and his head was killing him. He just wanted to be with her. He had no idea how to get out of this horrible situation and it seemed to only be getting worse by the minute.

“I didn’t do anything. Please. I didn’t.” Trevor couldn’t make eye contact anymore. He felt so defeated. The only thing he was possibly at fault for was introducing her to this crazy hockey world. Maybe if he had chosen to keep quiet about his relationship with Y/N this whole thing could have been avoided. The two of them could be wrapped up in each other’s arms sitting on that god awful green couch that Y/N had insisted on getting.

“Trevor, we both know that’s not true. Your car was tagged near where the attack took place. That can’t be a coincidence?” The man in front of Trevor was cut off by another stuffy looking man entering the room. He couldn’t make out what they were saying to each other since the second detective held up a folder to hide what he was saying. It must have been something big by the way the man interrogating him looked over at him.

“Y/N Y/l/N is dead.”

“No no no no.” Trevor’s hands bunched in his hair unable to comprehend what he was being told. No. Trevor wasn’t listening when the officer told him about the surgery and how there was too much blood. He started shaking his head as the tears started to roll down his face.

“There was obscure video evidence found of the attack from a building in the area. We can clearly see it isn’t you. You are free to go. I’m very sorry.”

No no no. This couldn’t be happening. Not to her. He loved her. She couldn’t be gone just like that. No. She was just here. Her heart was beating the last time he saw her. Now her body was turning as cold as the ice he skated on.

Maybe he was guilty.

Y/N was his obsession. And he showed her to the world.

Netflix Daredevil star Charlie Cox reveals the real reason why he isn't on social media

Exclusive: 'I have a big feeling like if it is not broken, don’t fix it'

Kin star Charlie Cox reveals he isn’t on social media – because the superstar wouldn’t know what to say to his fans.

The Daredevil star – who returns to our screens as Michael Kinsella in the new season later this year - says that having an online presence for his millions of fans “is not really my bag”, admitting he’s a very private person.

Charlie told us: “I don't know what I would say to people I don’t know. I genuinely don’t. I’m not against it and obviously a lot of people tell me I should because it’s part of the industry, part of the world now. It’s not really my bag. I’m very private. Also, I have a big feeling like if it is not broken, don’t fix it and my life… I don’t get bothered.”

The UK star feels grateful to be working on Kin, saying “it feels like luck” that he came across the script as his TV wife producer Samantha Thomas was already working on the Rte One series.

“So much of it just feels like luck. I don’t know how… you know when you get sent a script, you’re getting sent one tiny clog in this huge mechanism and the other clogs haven’t even been developed yet.

“With filmmaking I always found that one element can completely sabotage it. I saw a cut of a movie I was in, it looked really promising and the sound design ruined it and it ended up not working so I’m very aware that we make decisions with a very limited amount of information so it was a huge amount of luck involved.

“So when something comes along that does work and there is a fanbase behind it and there is a thirst and a hunger for more of it, I think you just got to be really grateful for that. I’ve always stayed quite close to the theatre, I think that helps,” he added.

Charlie previously told us how he used to “dread” going on the Kin set because it would drain his emotions as an actor.

He told us in August: “When I read it (the script) I was so devastated by the loss of Jamie. I can tell you just from filming episodes two and three of last season. There was a period of time where I was like 'wow, I really kind of am dreading going to work'.

“I mean I loved the creative process, I was loving the storytelling and I believed in it so much. But sitting in those feelings… when you do a funeral scene and you’re doing a funeral all day, you’re sitting in that grief all day.

“You know there was a scene at the wake where Jamie is in the coffin and we filmed that scene all day and we are grieving all day, albeit it acting but you still have to draw it from somewhere.

“It lingers… It's a very uncomfortable emotion to be living in and so my feeling with this show and in particular what happens in the beginning is that if anything it shines a light on how devastating to a family and to a community that life can be.”

Charlie revealed how fortunate he feels that he no longer takes on roles for the money – but rather to fill his own creative needs as an actor.

“The last few years of my life I have been fortunate enough to be in a position where there has been work. Not all the time. There was a few years ago there was a period where I was waiting for the right thing and nothing would come along. It gets quite nerve-wracking after eight or nine months.

“I’ve never been someone who jumps into work just to work. I always wanted to curate a career as much as possible. It’s very difficult to do when you start because you have to take every job you get really.

“The last few years have been slightly different. And so, I’m not taking any jobs for the money. It’s all for creative reasons.

“Then there are other things you factor in, like keeping the family together is a big one now,” he added.

Rock superstar Noel Gallagher says fatherhood has been one of the greatest joys of his life, despite having doubts about his ability to be a good dad.

His own childhood was marred by an abusive, alcoholic Irish father who beat him and was physically violent towards his mother, Peggy, before she left him.

Prior to the split, Noel and his older brother, Paul, were reportedly so scared of their Meath-born father, Tommy that they developed a stammer.

In an exclusive interview with the Sunday World, Noel, who turned 56 yesterday and is set to release a new album next Friday, says:

“It [fatherhood] wasn’t one of the things in life I particularly thought I would be cut out for. To be a dad as a rock star is a lot easier than when you’re working on a building site and all that, but, yeah, watching the kids grow up has been one of the great pleasures of life."

So, despite keeping them out of the limelight, does he feel that growing up with a famous father is difficult for them?

“It’s not something they’ll ever be able to judge because that’s what they were born into,” Noel tells me. “But if they think it’s difficult having a rock star for a dad they might try and swap it and have my dad as a dad. And I can assure them that the way I was brought up they’d rather me as their father than my old fella as their dad, that’s for sure.”

However, Noel does have concerns for his children having to navigate a more complicated world today, compared to the simple times he grew up in.

“I really feel for my two teenage boys,” he reveals. “Life is very, very complicated for them. They’ve grown up with the internet and all the f**king nonsense that that brings.

“When I tell them tales about when we were growing up they think it’s boring. But I can assure them that they’d rather have boring than the complicated bullshit world they live in.

“I worry…I think it’s tough for young boys particularly these days. My only worry is that they won’t have an idea about what they want to do with their life. I think half the battle in life is to realise what it is you want to do. Then it’s just a case of going out and trying to get it.

“These days they have so much choice their f**kin’ heads are fried. At 16 they don’t know where they’re going, whereas when we were growing up it was very simple and regimented and there’s a lot to be said for that.”

Noel’s childhood involved trips to his mother Peggy’s family home in Charlestown, Co Mayo.

“We went to Mayo for every school holiday, so we went for Easter, summer and Christmas. Summer holidays were always the best… six weeks, that’s when summer was proper summer.”

Mayo is still close to his heart? “Yeah, of course,” he says. “I’ve got an Irish passport and it’s a big part of who we are. Outside of school growing up we didn’t really know that many English people. Because my mum was from such a big family and they pretty much all moved to Manchester there was a lot of cousins and aunties and uncles, so it was a very self-contained circle growing up.”

Noel was reared on a sprawling council estate in Manchester, which inspires his latest single and reflective album, Council Skies.

The Manchester council estate is light years away from rural Ireland?

“Yeah, but there were as many characters, although it was fairly grey and full of concrete,” Noel responds. “But there was as many characters on the council estate as you find in Charlestown in the pubs, for sure.”

His mother, Peggy, still lives in the same council house where she reared her three sons, having refused their offer to buy her a home in a more exclusive area.

“She’s got seven sisters, four of which live in Manchester, and they all live around the same housing estate, so they see each other every day,” Noel reveals. “She’s not interested in moving anywhere. She lives in this tiny little house where we were all brought up in and she’s f**kin’ happy as Larry.”

Has she been left alone? “Some of the guys that we knew when we were growing up, they kind of look out for her,” he says.

“They make sure she’s alright. She does get bothered from time to time, but on the whole she does pretty well.

“She gave birth to these two sons who went on and did what they did — that’s the story of her life as well as the story of mine and Liam’s life.”

Is she amazed by it? “She would never say one way or the other. This is her stock line: ��Sure as long as you’re enjoyin’ yourself.’”

I tell Noel about meeting Peggy at Slane Castle in 2009 when Oasis were the headline act, and jokingly asking her: “Would you not sort out those two fellas?” referring to the on-going battle between her sons that continues to this day.

Peggy laughed that day, saying: “Oh sure they don’t listen to me.”

Noel laughs: “No, we didn’t listen to her then and we won’t be listening to her now, either.”
