So I was able to go to LoveLoud with a friend and one of the most heartwarming moments was when Tyler Glenn and Dan Reynolds sang the primary song I’ll Walk With You. I think Carol Lynn Pearson would approve. Also had the best time of my life so that’s a plus

I absolutely guarantee that Carol Lynn Pearson would approve.

She wrote about including everyone, especially those who have special needs or are different in one way or another. She meant for this to include LGBTQ+ people. 

She was married to a gay man, they ultimately divorced but remained friends and she nursed him in his final months as he died of AIDS. She watched the pain her LGBTQ LDS friends endured & knew it was wrong. She wrote a children's hymn about what Jesus would do. He'd walk🌈 He'd talk🤗 He'd love❤️

Carol is very happy with how the song has been embraced by the LGBTQ community.

M. Russell Ballard, President of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles has passed away. While I remember many of the words he spoke, I thought a few in particular should be posted here:

"I want anyone who is a member of the church who is gay or lesbian to know I believe you have a place in the kingdom and recognize that sometimes it may be difficult for you to see where you fit in the Lord’s Church, but you do. We need to listen to and understand what our LGBT brothers and sisters are feeling and experiencing. Certainly, we must do better than we have done in the past so that all members feel they have a spiritual home where their brothers and sisters love them and where they have a place to worship and serve the Lord."

"We condemn, in the strongest terms, bullying or harassment of any kind. Every person is a child of God. Everyone is entitled to love and respect. The reason that the Church supported the LoveLoud Festival, here in Utah County, was to send a strong message that LGBT youth or anyone else should never be mistreated"

I think so! Dan Reynolds’s wiki page says “he organized the charity festival LOVELOUD, held August 26, 2017…” and “… helped organize the LoveLoud Fest to benefit LGBTQ organizations.” Let me investigate farther.

A vanity fair article calls the fest “brainchild of Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds”. I saw a LinkedIn page that mentioned the Loveloud foundation being founded by Dan but idk if I trust a random LinkedIn page.

Idk seems like he was a founder 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I watched their loveloud documentary a few years ago and he’s definitely THE founder!

I just was like “hey I wonder what David Archuleta is up to now” and went down a rabbit hole . It was actually very sweet like he came out last year at 30 after spending his life terrified of the fact that he likes guys bc of his Mormon upbringing and like I watched a video of him giving a speech abt it and singing a song at Loveloud Fest and I actually teared up…. Also like 5 months ago they did a reunion episode of American Idol and had him come on stage and meet those girls from that old ass video where they were screaming and crying bc he didn’t win season 7 💀 it was funny but v cute n sweet
