Lighter and Princess ep 25 thoughts

I'm really starting to dig the narrative choices here. The way that she has stepped into the forefront and getting to show her skills. It's honestly a FASCINATING reversal from the first set of episodes in the University arc.

When they first entered the stage at uni, he was the one with an impeccable "resume" - that top scorer who professors and students admired. He was the one that people made admiring off-hand comments about, he took over as group leader. She had the opportunity to win a bid and make an app with him only because he was willing to include her.

Now he has been out of the industry for 3 years and is socially undesirable, near unhireable. She has impressive credentials and has the lil team in awe of her prowess.

He's still a genius and I'm sure he'll return to prominence. But it's an interesting temporary role inversion.

Not that professionally I think they need to be equals. She's not Gao, she'll never be. She loves his keen mind and knows that some people are just especially gifted and there's no need to best them. You don't see a breathtaking sculpture & feel the need to tear down the artist and prove you could craft better. You just appreciate its beauty.

Secondly, ha, this moment probably doesn't hold as much impact nowadays but I drew this when patch 0 only had TWO OPTIONS and NOTHING ELSE. You could say it's my loving 'like fuck we won't ever see each other again my sun, moon, stars, and all of the above' response to Lae'zel's Goodbye. Had to give myself hope gosh darn it. But it's lovely to know that Greygold wasn't wrong. So I share cheesy moment anyway.

Greygold knows responsibility sucks, but set a killer hawk free and all that. (of course I checked what's up with the other choice after the game and 'oofed' but still. PRINCIPLES. Gotta say I disagree with the whole crowd of people in FL's life shading her choice to drop everything to fight for L&P. Yes of course she still loves Li Xun. But PER USUAL no one is fucking listening to her. Everyone loves to tell the princess how she feels and the right path for her life.

And why explain, because no one ever takes her seriously, so they wouldn't even respect the oath she made to him when he agreed to take on Fang Zhijing in the first place:

"What I'll say is serious. No matter what you want to do and what goals you want to complete in the future, you can count me in.  I'll keep my word."

Li Xun did so much to cut ties between them, because he DOES understand her more. He knew she would be true to her word and stand beside him. But I feel like he's still underestimating her now.

It was one thing when she didn't think he needed her help, because he had a network and company to return to. She was prepared to walk away before she saw that Gao and her arch nemesis had stolen L&P. But now, whether or not their relationship ever turns romantic again, there's no way she'll let him walk alone.

Plus, she could accept Li Xun handing her shares to another woman but Fang Zhijing ?? HIM???? Maybe, just maybe, she really does fucking hate that dude. And maybe she feels she started this battle against him and needs to help Li Xun finish it.

"I went to meet Gao Jianhong. I also checked the shareholding structure of L&P. I won't leave this time whatever you say."

Basically, fuck anyone who wants to drag her out of this fight (including Li Xun). She can both still be in love with her ex, feel honor-bound, and also want to cut a bitch.

I felt slightly nostalgic, so I decided to rewatch one of my favorite childhood shows on YouTube that was like my own Mean Girls & Euphoria all wrapped in a Littlest Pet Shop package: LPS Popular

I don’t know why, but I was obsessed with this series at one point during my first FNAF phase. Probably because I really liked violence and drama back then. But after the episodes were taking a long time to finish, I grew out of the show on hyperfixated on other things. I’m surprised I never made fanart of this until now, but here we go ^^

Like I know she would have hundreds of those little guys in a big bin. She cherishes her older LPS since they stopped making them with the magnets on the bottom of their paws. She would binge watch LPS Popular on youtube and beg her dad to buy her the airplane set because it was just so cool.

She even tried to customize one of her LPS and followed a tutorial to paint it like Roxy, underline the word tried because it definitely looked wonky and the paint was a bit smeared but she loved it anyway. Maybe she'd even show off her collection to Roxy and Gregory at some point
