> be me
> arguing w/ someone on discord who is extremely rude but overconfident in own knowledge
> server has a 1 strike policy w/ certain harassment
> they finally call us "sped" twice so it counts
> no mods online but it worth a shot
> "@ moderators repeated harassment"
> mod instantly appears
> mod instantly find 2 different examples of them harassing us
> mod instantly bans them and deletes all of their rude messages in like 1 second
is the being respected as a person by a stranger just running to our head or is this what it feels like to be royalty

Made this back when Blaseball was still going strong. Shout out to @pyromantic-art for the design of the blaseball itself, based on her amazing Dallas Steaks poster.

Lua x Electronics
Tumblr media Tumblr media
: ̗̀➛ Lua is a beginner-friendly scripting language that is well-suited for individuals starting out in Electronics. A simple roadmap to learning it for electronics projects! It'll break down the learning process into clear steps!
Due to its lightweight and efficient nature, Lua is perfect for microcontrollers (tiny computers in electronics) with restricted resources. This language enables users to engage with sensors and manage electronic components such as LEDs and motors in various projects.
Tumblr media
!! There are other more popular programming languages for getting into Electronics such as C, C++ and Python! I'm just promoting Lua because it's still a good language to start with~!

FUCK YOU THERE IS A CSV STANDARD
Preamble: a few months ago, me and my coworker wrote CSV parsers because we needed one for work thing. Mine is a pure lua stream parser, his uses regex. His is about twice as fast.
Well guess what, speed doesn't matter if output data is garbage!
Today his version (that was accepted as standard) choked on data with quotation marks in it.
And I'm so unreasonably proud of my little parser I made a tumblr post about it.

Hey, sorry for not posting for a while. I am starting to code the game. The game will be coded in lua, and without an engine, only the LOVE library. For a lot of people, not using an engine might seem like it's making coding harder. But I find that being able to create and modify at will your own functions makes it easier for me. I am only 17 so I still have my limits. But, my game isn't very complicated. The most complicated thing will probably be the grid system for movements and the enemy's AIs.
Spent the last hour creating my own draw function that automatically scales the sprites to the size of your monitor. As well as a way to limit the game to 60 FPS, because LOVE has no integrated function to do it (that I could find at least)

This is how I thought I'd make my mayor look before Animal Crossing: New Horizons released. I think I made the original image with a picrew, and edited it in pico-8. I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember which picrew anymore. Let me know if think you might know which picrew I might have used and I'll update this post with a link.
