i’ve been obsessively rereading to septimus heap recently, and lucy always stuck out to me, she reminds me of myself a bit

Sophie Hatter and Lucy Gringe/Heap should be best friends. They are very similar I don't think the Castle nor Ingary could survive them but I would be very happy.

Meanwhile Howl would be having a weird eye contact game with Marcellus Pye to determine who is the more vain and dramatic (and Howl would win because he is the most dramatic and vain AND because he punches people who kidnap children while Marcellus kidnaps them).

Some of it's probably just the nostalgia talking, but I feel like You And I by Ingrid Michaelson has such pre-Magyk Simon-and-Lucy-planning-to-run-away-together vibes.

Two kids who grew up dirt poor talking about how they won't be starting off with any money, but hey, they never had that to begin with- at least this time they'll have each other.

Dreaming about getting rich and living together in a big house once Simon becomes ExtraOrdinary Wizard and Lucy makes a name for herself as an architect. transcribing the septimus heap fanfic i wrote when i was 9 onto the computer so my friend and i can laugh at it but actually this one is really cute :( like it's kinda stupid because i was 9. and i didn't know how to write characters well or anything. and also i was terrified that angie sage would find out and shoot me bc of copyright laws. but it still is so sweet to look back on. like i had no idea that this was a thing people actually did but i still loved the books so so much and couldn't getthe characters out of my head that i wrote about them despite fully believing i was going to jail for copyright infringement.
