i haven't finished wci but i hope nami beats the shit out of pudding. sanji all like "you broke my heart but i can't hurt you..." and nami just hits her with the clima-tact, not even using the powers, just fucking hitting her right in the face and saying: "well, i can".

Idk if your requests are open but could u do Sanji and Zoro with a very jumpy s/o and they usually jump into their arms or cling onto them but this time their s/o clings to the other, (like sanjis s/o clinging onto Zoro and vice versa)
Please and ty<3
Lmao, I love this idea so much
S/O Jumping into the Wrong Arms (Headcanons): Sanji and Zoro (Separate)
Tumblr media
You know Sanji loves whenever you jumps into his arms or back, just clinging onto in general, it makes him feel on top of the world
Yes he's here to protect you from whatever scared you darling, he's right here to keep you away from it
He's always by your side, ready for you to jump into his arms
It also helps him practice his reflexes and balance because sometimes he's carrying a tray of drinks or desserts for the crew
There was one time when he wasn't by your side, it was in the morning while he was in the kitchen making breakfast before everyone woke up
You woke up and came out of the girls quarters, and seeing Zoro is the only one on deck, you decide to chat with him
So when Sanji swung open the door to the kitchen, you jumped onto the closet person: Zoro (who caught you out of reflex when the scared trio jump onto him)
5 seconds of silence pass between the duo (while you sighed in relief it was just Sanji)
"DAMNIT MOSS HEAD!!!!"
Oh Sanji is pissed at Zoro (and himself for not being by your side)
Sanji is practically barking at Zoro while the swordsman yells it's not his fault and drops you on your ass, which only angers Sanji even more
"'The hell moss head!? You can't do that to a lady!"
[insert Zoro having Jackie Chan meme face here]
"Are you okay my sweet?" Sanji asks immediately at your side
After that, Sanji always made sure he was glued to your side
Tumblr media
Now when Zoro catches you when you jump, he acts unphased or as if it's a minor inconvenience to him, but somewhere along the line, he felt it was his duty (because he wanted it to be) he just never realized until the one time you jump into another's arms
Zoro was training in the crow's nest and you were out on deck with Nami & Robin, getting refreshments from Sanji
Whether it was Luffy, Brook, or Usopp that startled you, you yelped and jumped right into Sanji's arms
"[Y/N]-CHAN ♡♡♡♡"
Sanji is swoon with heart eyes and rambling on about non-sense about his love for you and asking if you finally are going to love him
Zoro can hear his annoying voice from the crow's nest but understand what he's saying so he pops his head out
"Oi, swirly brows you're being annoy-..."
*sees you in Sanji's arms*
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HARRASSING [Y/N]!?"
Zoro jumps down and they start barking at each other as Sanji puts you down
Sanji strikes a nerve by saying "How can you protect her if you're not around."
While Zoro makes his argument, after that day he wordlessly always stayed by your side
It is his duty to protect you from whatever scares you after all
This was such a fun request, thank you for sending it in ^-^

two peas in a pot ; monkey d. luffy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
↻ fluff, you and luffy share one brain cell, basically chaotic duo, kinda from nami's/the crew's pov, grammatical error
↻ pairing ↬ luffy x f!reader!
@kyokikia asked: Hi i hope you've had a great day so far! Congrats on 1k!
I was wondering if i could request a Luffy × fem!reader whos basically just him but the opposite gender? Like as stupid as unaware and most importantly as happy and cheerful as he is?
(And if possible, if you can somehow include it in, maybe you can try making them into a childhood friends kind of thing bc i would really like that)
nami would have thought that luffy and usopp were enough to give her a splitting headache. but heavens, there's now two luffy. one was luffy himself and the other was you. nothing could possibly go wrong, right? wrong. she was so dead wrong.
their food stocks were fast to clearead out, the thousand sunny were also louder, and luffy's obvious protectiveness towards you.
both of you were like two peas in a pod, always stuck to each other's hip.
during morning, both you and luffy would wake up with a loud cries due to your growling stomachs. during the afternoon, you and luffy would take a nap somewhere on the ship, his arms tangled all over you. during the evening, the two of you would run around the ship, your loud laughters ringing throughout the ship.
it wasn't like nami hated you. not at all. it was the opposite. she adore you. you completed luffy for some weird reason. even though both of you are so so stupid and doesn't even realize that you love each other more than friends.
so when the crew members find luffy leaving kisses on your face while you laugh, they weren't surprised. sanji also weren't surprised when one night, he saw you and luffy kissed for the first time (even though his heart aches and wished that it was him that you were kissing instead).
they knew of how you and luffy were friends since childhood. and that was why they weren't surprised how the two of you are so clueless to your feelings. because you two have been together since kids after all. no one would notice a change. especially if it was luffy and you. you guys share one brain cell after all.
and when you and luffy said that those intimate interactions are those of a friend, they weren't surprised. but as long as you two are happy, who are they to have a say in it?

If you are uncomfortable or don't like this for Sanji and Mc, please don't feel like you have to write it or even answer me.
What if Mc gets pregnant in the far future, all the fluff and cuteness of Sanji caring for her.
Being polite like that makes me want to do it more. Don't worry, I had this on my list for a while. I got carried away so there'll be three parts for each trimester. I hope this does your request justice!
Reader’s Name: Mc (Stands for Main Character but made it look like a name)
Note: This moment STILL takes place in the future from my “Giving Him the Love He Deserves” series. It can be a standalone, but it ties in with the story I’ve written before.
Tumblr media
[First Trimester] The sunny day embraced the Thousand Sunny as it sailed across the endless blue sea, the gentle breeze carrying the laughter of the crew. On the deck, Mc stood, her hand resting protectively over her small baby bump, her face glowing with the radiance of impending motherhood. Sanji, her devoted husband, hovered nearby, his eyes never leaving her for more than a moment.
“My darling, my love, please, let me do that," Sanji insisted, reaching out to take the basket of fruits she was carrying. His eyes were filled with both adoration and concern, his protective nature in full swing.
"I can handle it, Ji," Mc chuckled, appreciating his care but also wanting to maintain her independence. "I'm not that fragile, you know."
"But you're carrying our precious little one," Sanji argued, his tone gentle but firm. "I won't forgive myself if anything happens to you or our baby."
Chopper chimed in, his small stature not diminishing the authority in his voice. "Sanji-san is right, Mc. It's crucial for you and the baby's health that you don't strain yourself."
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew, being their usual playful selves, seemed to have temporarily forgotten about Mc's condition. Luffy and Usopp, in their typical boisterous manner, were engaged in a friendly wrestling match nearby, completely unaware of the delicate situation.
In a moment of chaos, Luffy and Usopp, fueled by their competitive spirits, nearly toppled over Mc. Sanji, with his lightning-fast reflexes, swiftly maneuvered her out of harm's way, his protective instincts kicking in. Chopper, witnessing the scene, couldn't help but scold the oblivious duo.
"Oi, you idiots! Be mindful of Mc's condition!" Chopper scolded, his tiny hooves tapping in irritation. "She's pregnant, and you need to be extra careful around her!"
Robin approached with a calm smile, placing a reassuring hand on Mc's shoulder. "Chopper is right. We must be considerate, especially now. Mc, if there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask."
Nami chimed in, her eyes softening with understanding. "And if any of these guys forget, just say the word. We'll make sure they behave."
Usopp and Luffy, finally realizing their oversight, exchanged sheepish glances before offering apologetic smiles. "Sorry, Mc! We got carried away," Luffy said, scratching his head.
Usopp nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we promise to be more careful."
[Second Trimester]
The Thousand Sunny sailed smoothly across the endless expanse of the Grand Line, its crew bustling with their usual activities. Amidst the cheerful chaos, Mc stood on the deck, a radiant smile gracing her face despite the slight bulge of her second-trimester pregnancy. Sanji was never far from her side, his hands almost always around her, protective and attentive.
One sunny afternoon, as the crew gathered for lunch, Mc felt a gentle kick from her growing belly. Her eyes widened with surprise and delight, and she softly gasped, "Ji, the baby kicked!" Her voice carried excitement and wonder.
Sanji's eyes lit up with sheer joy. He dropped to his knees beside her, his hands tenderly placed on her stomach, waiting for another sign of life. "Really, my love?" he murmured, his voice filled with awe and anticipation. The crew, sensing the moment, hushed in anticipation.
Suddenly, there it was – a tiny, yet unmistakable kick beneath Sanji's fingertips. His eyes widened in amazement, and he let out a breathless laugh. "I felt it!" he exclaimed, his face lighting up with pure happiness. His joy was contagious, spreading through the crew like wildfire.
Excited chatter filled the air as the rest of the Straw Hat crew gathered around, their eyes wide with wonder. Luffy, the carefree captain, approached cautiously, his usual exuberance momentarily subdued by the significance of the moment. "Can I... Can I feel too?" he asked, his voice soft and earnest.
Mc nodded, her smile never fading, and Sanji guided Luffy's hand to her belly. As Luffy felt the gentle kick, his eyes widened, his grin reaching ear to ear. "Wow! That's so cool!" he exclaimed, his excitement palpable.
Not wanting to miss out on the moment, the rest of the crew eagerly lined up, each taking their turn to feel the life growing inside Mc. Robin, placed her hand on Mc's belly, her eyes reflecting her deep fascination. Chopper carefully pressed his hoof against her stomach, his expression a mix of wonder and professionalism.
Nami, couldn't help but tear up, her heart touched by the beauty of the moment. Usopp beamed with pride, feeling a sense of camaraderie with the little one even before their arrival.
Brook hummed a soft, lullaby-like tune, filling the air with a soothing melody. Franky, couldn't stop grinning, his laughter echoing across the deck.
Amidst the joy and excitement, Luffy, usually known for his reckless behavior, became surprisingly careful around Mc. He offered her a hand whenever she needed it, making sure she was comfortable, his playful antics momentarily subdued by a newfound sense of responsibility.
As the crew marveled at the miracle of life, Mc revealed her stomach, proudly displaying a small set of feet marks on her skin, a tangible proof of the life growing within her. The crew gasped in amazement, their eyes wide with awe and affection. [Third Trimester]
On a sunny afternoon aboard the Thousand Sunny, the Straw Hat Pirates were going about their usual business.
Amidst the bustling activity, Mc was gracefully making her way through the ship. She was in her third trimester, her pregnancy bringing an undeniable glow to her face. The crew, well aware of her condition, treated her with utmost care, ensuring she never had to lift a finger.
As Mc entered the common area, she found some members of the crew engaged in a hushed conversation, their faces a mix of seriousness and determination. Curious, she approached them, her eyes widening as she caught snippets of their conversation.
"...make sure we have towels ready..."
"...remember the breathing exercises Chopper taught us..."
"...don't panic, stay calm..."
They were discussing what to do when Mc's water broke, a topic they had taken quite seriously, despite the inherent awkwardness. Mc couldn't help but chuckle at their sincerity.
"What's going on?" Mc asked, her laughter bubbling forth.
Luffy grinned widely. "We're practicing for when the baby comes! We gotta be ready, just like in a battle!"
Zoro, nodded in agreement.
Nami chimed in, her practicality shining through, "We've read books and even consulted with Chopper. We're fully prepared!"
Usopp chimed in with enthusiasm, "And we have a secret weapon – Franky built a portable, super-comfortable birthing chair!"
Franky flexed his muscles proudly, "Super!" he exclaimed, his signature pose emphasizing his excitement.
Chopper piped up, "I'll be here to help, Mc! You and the baby will be in good hands."
Sanji, with his usual chivalry, took Mc's hand gently, his eyes filled with love and excitement. "We're all here for you, my love. We'll welcome our little one into this world with open arms."
As the crew continued their preparations, Mc felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and gratitude. Their antics and genuine concern made her heart swell with affection. The Straw Hat Pirates weren't just a crew; they were a family, and in that moment, Mc knew their little one was already surrounded by boundless love and extraordinary adventures waiting to unfold.

Furina and Strawhat crew
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@ithoughtthinks
Zoro: She may be like his captain, but her attitude toward the DRAMA male makes her a little more troublesome for him. Not to mention that most of the time that she talks, he just goes, "What?". Besides, she's a genuinely good friend to Luffy, so he'll be fine with her...and he must admit, she do have some guts on her own. He just wishes she'd stop throwing water on him (stinky man).
Nami: At the beginning, she can find Furina quite annoying, overdramatic, and incompetent for her role, but after knowing the truth, it's hard not to notice the fact that the two are extremely similar. Both of them decided to protect and save their city, hiding the truth in order to protect everyone and endure the pain alone, except that Furina didn't have an older sister or a good old sheriff to watch over her. She didn't have good people that knew her motives; she was alone until her judgment, and even there she was alone. Nami respects Furina, and she's more interested in knowing her than the Focalor facade that she has impersonated for 500 years.
Usopp: Alongside Luffy, Furina, and Usopp, they can become an actual good comedy duo! The two can actually make a good show! To think that Fontain's Diva actually expressed some interest in having him as a co-conductor makes him blush and giggle!  But, they too are somehow alike: both of them know how is hard to play the hero and being the insecure one of the bunch at the same time. He'll be, alongside Luffy, the one who insists on Furina actually joining the crew! She doesn't have to stay in Fontaine anymore; she can travel with them! They're both liar after all, and they can make the biggest and greatest of the show together!
Sanji: As always, Sanji will start pestering Furina with his usual attitude, proclaiming that she's the brightest star in the sky or the precious pearl of the sea. Well, he meant some of them. She may still like to act a little like the old Furina, the star of the opera house, but it's notable that she's feeling a little anxious about her true self, the one that she has hidden for so long. He'll make just for her all of her favorite desserts (yes, he'll steal the recipe from Navia) and always remember how to make her feel special! .... But no, he won't indulge in her shopping spree or even contest some of her questionable choices (especially the seahorse stable). Mademoiselle Crabaletta has a huge crush on him. Help.
Chopper: Sweet baby, the two are just big babies that can fall for everything together. They can't be left alone; they'll buy some very terrible stuff (yes, the seahorse stable) and eat all of the desserts from the kitchen. He's one of the official guests of the Furina Tea parties and chats all of the time with Mademoiselle Crabaletta,Surintendante Chevalmarin, and Gentilhomme Usher.
Robin: Once she read about the story of the god of justice, her first idea was of someone not so far from the Celestial Dragon. Well, to say that she was surprised once she saw Furina for the first time is an understatement. The first time she had been on Fontaine and actually saw one of her performances and trials was when she was still the co-founder of Baroque Works, when Sir Crocodile actually decided to visit the place and test the waters. Back there, she saw something off about her, like someone who has been trying so hard to grip something and is slowly losing grip. When Robin had the chance to see her again and find out the truth, he was surprised by her determination, both in Furina and Focalors. They were actually able to cheat the government and find a way to protect their own people. Of course, she won't miss the chance to play a small trick on the girl, but Robin will never cross any line.
Franky: Has Furina had problems with boredom? Not with this man. He knows how to make the greatest and most spectacular of the show—everyday something new and every time some funny tricks that will just make the girl laugh or make her face agape. She doesn't address him as a "pervert" but more as an "interesting individual with some interesting hobbies." To Franky, the normal Furina was a good god from the beginning, and he thought that it was quite stupid to believe that an hunmble god was something to believe was "less important."
Brook: The two of them could actually talk for hours in that elegant manner, only to be interrupted by the same skeleton man for some stupid jokes and some of his antics. Despite that, Furina just loved how that man kept on playing for her his violin, enjoying each other's talents. Brook felt some kind of sadness for the young girl; she was forced to see people that she must have loved dying, knowing that there was no way she could have reached them. And, despite that, she's still got the courage to sing and say that she can still write her own story! He'll keep on playing his violin for her; she just needs to sing!
Jinbe:big and soft, fight me over it. She has done an excellent job in the last 500 years; now she can rest. His job is to avoid her being a victim of his captain's schemes; she's the main cause of the same schemes. There was a lot of conversation with Gentilhomme Usher.

I will never be tired of talking about the strawhats dynamic. Not only as a group, but as individuals. Like you could literally take any duo or trio or whatever among them and you would still have the most stupidest dumbest funniest endearing group dynamic ever. Luffy, Usopp and Chopper ? The stupidest trio of besties you've ever seen. Zoro and Nami ? The most sibling-like duo I've ever seen. Zoro and Chopper ? Robin and Chopper ? Literally 2 parents taking care and being protective af over their child, who admires them so much. Zoro and Sanji ? Do I even need to explain it. Luffy with literally any strawhat. Usopp with Sanji. Robin or Nami with any of the stupidest of the crew. Brook or Franky with Usopp or Chopper. And the list goes on.

OKAY. ONE PIECE EPISODE 185. BRAIN FUCKING ALTERING HOLY SHIT HEY. HEY. HEY. HEY. I"M NORMAL I'M NORMAL I"M SIO FUCKING NORMAL HOLY FUCK??"? NAMI AND USOPP AS A COMBAT DUO IS SOMETHING I DIDN"T EVEN KNOW I NEEDED??? NAMI LITERALLY RESOLIDIFYING THE GROWTH SHE HAD DURING ARLONG PARK BY REAFFIRMING THAT SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BE ALONE ANYMORE AND SHE'S PUTTING HER LIFE ON THE LINE BITCH!!!! BITCH BITCH BITCH!!! THE SHOT OF USOPP TURNING TO LEAVE AND SHAKING BUT NOT BEING ABLE TO LET GO OF THE DOOR HANDLE BECAUSE HE CAN'T MAKE HIMSELF LEAVE HIS FRIEND BITCH!!!!! I FUCKING LOVE HIM!!! SANJI GETTING HIS MOMENT TO SCHEME WHICH IS ALWAYS SATISFYING I LOVE WHEN THE CORE OF HIS CHARACTER COMES OUT TO PLAY???
god that moment where he says that "both of them don't have to die" and the fact that that was a DOUBLE FAKEOUT, INTENTIONALLY PISSING USOPP OFF SO HE WAS LESS SCARED. ADDITIONALLY, THE TIE IN TO EARLIER IN THE ARC WHEN HE SAID IF IT CAME DOWN TO IT HE WAS GOING TO CHOOSE TO PROTECT NAMI, NOT USOPP, BUT IN THIS MOMENT HE'S EXPLICITLY CHOSEN TO SAVE THEM BOTH??? AND I KNOW THE MOMENT WHERE HE LIGHTS HIS CIGARETTE HAS BEEN TALKED TO DEATH BUT SANJI IS LITERALLY THE ONLY PERSON OTHER THAN LUFFY WHO HAS TAKEN AN EL THOR ATTACK AND STILL BEEN STANDING AFTERWARDS??? THE FACT THAT SANJI JUST TOOK THE STEPS NECESSARY TO SAVE ALL OF SKYPIEA????? BITCH???

I neeeeeeed to know about "luffy slips into an alternate timeline/dimension where he "died" instead of sabo and meets an older ace/sabo" I live for stuff like this please
sorry this took me so long! i. didn't realize you had sent an ask rip (that stupid sanji post has annihilated my activity page im in hell)
omg this one is actually one that i'm least likely to actually write because it has the potential to be Long (as you can see with the giant outline), but i wanted to kind of play around with the idea of luffy-less world in the post-timeskip era, because i really like time travel/redo fics where everyone is better/stronger but i think it would be NEAT if the straw hats had to fix things that might have happened if luffy died as a kid. think "doomed timeline" (if that means anything to you). even though the premise is technically ASL i am a straw hat bitch through and through so it's actually more of straw hat fic than the original idea.
here's a copy/paste under the cut (you will see that i write a lot of notes to myself in these things)
takes place post-timeskip era
sabo has no connection to the revolutionary war; he and ace set out as pirates together. because of this, they are not associated with whitebeard (therefore no marineford); instead, they are associated with shanks somehow (maybe; not subordinates tho)
they're no longer two captains one ship, two captains (allied) on two ships (SEE ALT 2)
straw hats have all experienced some form of "bad" ending that leaves them jaded, cynical, or (for some) borderline evil
luffy = strength, joy, freedom optimism; most arcs involve rescues, but i dont think any of the straw hats are "weak" enough to die during their initial crises without luffy, otherwise they wouldnt be straw hats--just win at a massive cost and the next three years would be significantly harder
zoro - frees himself from the courtyard and continues being the demon of the east blue but--
nami - gets the money to free her village, arlong refuses to free cocoyashi; nami seeks out the demon of the east blue in order to take out arlong (in exchange for the money she earned and that arlong has stashed). fight is brutal but they kill arlong; nojiko dies, nami ends up traveling with zoro afterwards bc she has no reason to stay behind with nojiko gone.
they become a well-known, ruthless, and efficient bounty hunting duo on the grand line (bc it earns money and zoro wouldnt make it out of the east blue without her); both are jaded as FUCK bc zoro's dream is stagnant and nami is still wrestling with the guilt of failing her family years later, they're also bloodthirsty because money + power fills the void
usopp - kaya dies in the initial plot to kill her, usopp is blamed and flees the village; gets picked up by the buggy pirates (please this could be so funny please but remember this is supposed to be sad but think of how funny this could be though circus sharpshooter usopp he and buggy would be. so funny in the same room together)
sanji - stays at the baratie until the vinsmokes have a use for him. "wedding"/WCI goes through(?) and/or sanji is a member of the big mom pirates; pudding refuses to kill sanji, big mom is going to kill her but sanji bargains for her life; germa mods are awakened; in order to protect zeff+etc, pretends to be emotionless like his brothers, ends up working as a germa agent instead of staying on WCI because now pudding is as much of a liability as zeff or smth (pudding tho??? pls be nice to her but figure smth out). sanji war crimes
chopper/brook/jinbei remain stagnant
franky - whore do not forget this man was a gang leader who did actual violence; franky family is bigger and badder than ever, babyy
robin - can't stay with crocodile (boring bland unoriginal) put her somewhere she can experience problems; maybe she leaves, ends up on water 7, encounters franky; joins franky family(?) for protection but since she's no longer under a warlord's protection she's fair game for marines/bounty hunters; continues to work as an assassin tho and doesn't stay around much to protect the franky family from the people after her
franky family could potentially work as an alt strawhats "maybe i dont want to die actually" environment for robin; franky helps robin stabilize a little but since they're both kind of Messed Up it's less of a "we're fine actually" and more like "we're fucked up but at least we're fucked up together". they run a Criminal Organization together. they are a gang. robin is an assassin. no one is happy go lucky here even if they have found measure of """"""peace""""""
luffy encounters ace/sabo, it's emotional (obvs; this is self-indulgent)
however his brothers are both fundamentally fine, they are thriving and alive--there's nothing here to fix. you know who isn't fine? his crew.
convinces ace/sabo that they need to find them--whether it's to convince them to join their crew or just to make sure they're okay (whats the motivation here besides luffy wanting them to be happy because they're his family? does he need one? does it even matter?)
ALT 1 are luffy's crew here or did luffy enter the doomed timeline alone. if so--everyone? or just a few
interesting interactions: doomed/real zoro (consider the implications of a zoro who has stagnated/given up on his dream; this guy's got issues but our guy has no self-preservation however maybe they both have no self preservation. interesting convo about worth or value of life without drive)
doomed/real nami (LOTS of grief here babes, but maybe an interesting convo here about strength vs vulnerability)
doomed/real sanji (ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my god can you imagine. can you imagine how much that would mess him up to see himself become Sanji Vinsmoke)
luffy has fundamentally changed all of their lives for the better but the straw hats are all strong as individuals (physically and emotionally) even before they join the straw hats. that's the point
even if the "doomed" straw hats encounter/join luffy would their lives fundamentally change for the better or are the experiences they accumulate as straw hats what changes them--it's not just luffy going "ur mine now you're happy" it's the development they go through during events/by interacting with each other; maybe some choose to stay where they are but have a shift in perspective of some kind
at least try with asl here
is sabo still kind of unstable? is ace still depressed? how does luffy's absence change them?
ALT 2 consider that they drift apart without luffy to hold them together; luffy makes an effort to reunite them?

My One Piece Arc Ranking
Hey, I just caught up to the One Piece anime after a grueling six-ish months of it absolutely consuming me, and in celebration and pure self indulgence I want to rank them worst to best (in my personal opinion, my bias will get in the way). I love this series so much and I want to gush about it even more now that I have all of this free time. Under each arc I rank I'm gonna talk a little bit about my thoughts on each one, what I liked and didn't like, but even for the lower rankings I don't think there really is a fully bad arc of One Piece. Another disclaimer that this is all my opinion and I want to know what others think! Otherwise I'll start my ranking under the cut, and spoilers for uhhhh the entire series ahead (particularly for Marineford).
31. Syrup Village
Tumblr media
I'm sure on reread/rewatch this arc will definitely be better for me, but this arc almost made me drop One Piece in the very beginning. I like Kaya a lot and there are some pretty good moments like Nami dragging Zoro down that hill and established the Nami and Usopp duo that I love. But this gets dragged down by stupid catboy that has the most convoluted villain plan, a setting that is maybe the most generic in the entire series, and maybe controversially, I just didn't like Usopp's introduction (do not fear I love him very much now) and also did not care about them kids. Some small moments and characters I really like and it also establishes the theme of a pirate's son right to exist but overall it just drags on for far too long for no good reason.
30. Long Ring Long Land
Tumblr media
Even though I'm ranking it this low, this is one I've seen people call filler and I do disagree with that. Yes it's very low stakes but it's a good breather before jumping into the emotional beating that is Water 7. It has some good humor, establishes Robin as a part of the crew, foreshadows the tides that end up being a big part of Water 7, and the Zoro and Sanji davyback fight is undeniably very important for both of their characters and just a good scene. But while all of that's true, it's ranked so low because the Foxy pirates pissed me off with the blatant cheating, the setting kind of pales in comparison to most other settings in the series, and it goes on for far too long (i know it got super extended in the anime though). Not my favorite, afro Luffy was fun though.
29. Whiskey Peak
Tumblr media
God I want to rank this higher solely because I love the scene of Zoro taking on all of the bounty hunters by himself at night. I think Zoro gets reduced to just 'cool guy' too often but this is my indulgent moment where, yeah, I do just love how cool he is here lmao. I like the setting as well where it's this western setting with undercover bounty hunters, and Miss All Sunday's introduction lives in my head rent free at all times. Unfortunately though this has maybe the most out of character moment in the entire series with Luffy attacking Zoro and Zoro actually engaging in a fight with him? I was baffled at both of them for this but especially Luffy. The Princess Vivi reveal was also pretty clunky but I know that it was a pretty last minute decision that Oda made that Ms. Wednesday was Princess Vivi.
28. Reverse Mountain
Tumblr media
This is only so low because it's literally like 2 episodes, there's not much to say. This arc gets a lot better in hindsight when we meet Brook and Laboon is connected to him, but that's about it. Umm Crocus is kind of a fun character as well I suppose.
27. Orange Town
Tumblr media
I don't really have a lot of bad to say about Orange Town, I did actually really like it on first watch. Nami's proper introduction is great, the establishing of someone's treasure and how that relates to Nami is great, and I did cry over that little dog protecting that shop. Really what holds it back is that it maybe is the most boring setting in the entire series, and while I'm in love with my failwife Buggy now, he gives very much villain of the week here.
26. Amazon Lily
Tumblr media
Ok maybe this is controversial. The obvious highlight of this arc is Boa Hancock, she carries this arc on her back. Her introduction is amazing, her dynamic with Luffy I think is very funny and cute, and her flashback is really haunting but also mature in how it handles the darker themes shown. I think this arc needs to exist as a comedic relief after Saboady and before getting into the real meat of the Summit War Saga. That said I think the cast other than Boa and the old woman are kind of weak and it also feels like we could have spent just a little bit more time here in the world of Amazon Lily, which seems really interesting but it's not really properly explored.
25. Punk Hazard
Tumblr media
On paper, I really like Punk Hazard. I think the side cast is one of the strongest with Law and Smoker/Tashigi, the island has such an interesting background as Vegapunk's old lab and the battle sight of Akainu and Aokiji, good comedy (particularly with Law), some really standout character moments for Zoro, and such important setup that gets paid off in Wano, and Caesar was a decent villain. Even with all of these positives, oh my god was this a slog for me. Did not care that much about the kids (objectively awful what happened to them, i just didn't emotionally connect that much with them), I also didn't connect very much with Kin'emon or Momo at first, and we spent a lot of time on both of those things. So many highlights but overall I think the pacing of this arc really brings it down a bit.
24. Return to Sabaody
Tumblr media
Not much to say on this, it's only like five episodes, but it was such an amazing moment to see the strawhats reunite with each other and show off a little bit on how much stronger they are. Good humor with the fake strawhats, especially with poor Chopper believing that all of his friends just turned into major assholes over the last two years. Also a big fan of Rayleigh and him seeing Luffy off was a very wholesome and sweet moment that I really love a lot.
23. Post-Enies Lobby
Great breathing room arc after the emotional rollercoaster of Water 7/Enies Lobby, while also getting some new answers and questions about the wider world with Garp and Dragon being revealed to be related to Luffy and seeing Ace confront Blackbeard. Another standout moment is Zoro standing up to the crew about Usopp coming back into the crew and also Usopp's true apology being fully accepted. Franky joining the crew officially is also a great moment. No complaints really, just a solid arc.
22. Reverie
Tumblr media
This is almost surely going to go up in ranking once we actually get some more of the questions presented here answered. Amazing to see Vivi and Cobra again, and to see Rebecca and Shirahoshi befriending each other with Vivi as well. Great moment of the celestial dragon from Fishman Island who was saved by Shirahoshi's mother stepping in to save Shirahoshi, I did not see it coming. I have no idea what the frozen strawhat or Imu is all about.
21. Baratie
Tumblr media
This is maybe ranked too high, Don Krieg is undoubtedly a pretty weak and one dimensional villain and there is kind of a double edged sword (no pun intended) where the best moment in the arc goes to the Zoro vs. Mihawk fight...even though this is Sanji's arc lmao. But! I think that moment is important to Sanji's arc too, and this is the arc that really started winning me over to One Piece. Fantastic introduction to Sanji and his character/ideals, great comedy with Luffy being put in a kitchen (a mistake), obviously Zoro vs. Mihawk, and Nami running away from the strawhats back to Arlong Park.
20. Drum Island
Tumblr media
Ohhh my poor baby boy Chopper. Chopper's backstory is obviously a highlight but really most of the arc really works for me. This is where I really fell in love with Vivi in her care for Nami and teaching Luffy when to fight and when to show respect and ask for help, which sticks with Luffy. Himbo Zoro diving into an ice lake is great comedy, and Luffy carrying Nami and Sanji up that mountain was such an impactful moment. The stuff with Chopper and the doctor is heartbreaking as well, such a great flashback. My only gripe is that Wapol kind of sucks as a villain, I don't care for him in any kind of way.
19. Little Garden
Tumblr media
You see objectively I know that Drum Island should be above Little Garden. But I had so much fun with Little Garden that I can't help myself. Zoro in the wax statue is in the top 5 gags in the entire series, and is really where this absolute idiot won my heart. Honestly the comedy is all so top notch for me and I also really liked the giants and dinosaurs(I'm mentally like a six year old, sue me). This also introduces Sanji as Mr. Prince and Crocodile, and I love both dearly. I think when we get to Elbaf this arc will only get better with time.
18. Fishmen Island
Tumblr media
Objectively one of the most beautiful and stunning worlds in all of One Piece, it was pure eye candy the entire time and it was so well fleshed out. The biggest highlight is the Fisher Tiger/Otohime flashback, where I thought the themes of racism were really well done and gave a lot of depth to Arlong that puts Arlong Park in a new perspective. I think thematically it's one of the strongest in the entire series, but is brought down a bit by kinda eh villains, I didn't connect too much with Shirahoshi's character, and, to put it nicely, some of the comedy falls flat (Sanji...)
17. Dressrosa
Tumblr media
This arc is a lot of good fun until it gut punches you out of the blue. The tournament arc Luffy is in is a lot of fun, I love the world with the toys and the darkness underneath, and Rebecca but especially Kyros are such compelling characters. But we all know the real strength of this arc is Doflamingo and Law's backstory. Doffy is the best villain in the series so far and I hate his guts, the Law backstory made me actually sob I'm being so serious. What brings it down a bit is I think even with just manga canon material, this arc went on a bit too long, and while I'm trying to keep the quality of the anime out of my ranking, Dressrosa undoubtedly suffered more than any other arc adapted so far with terrible pacing and bland direction.
16. Skypeia
Tumblr media
If there's one thing I know about Skypeia it's that everyone and their mother has an opinion about it. It falls in the middle for me, but overall I am a big fan. One of the most gorgeous worlds in the entire series, really great comedy throughout (Skypeia Zoro you'll always be famous to me), and the Noland/Calgara flashback followed by the ringing of the bell are big highlights of pre timeskip One Piece. There was so much foreshadowed here as well that I get very excited everytime I see Skypeia mentioned afterwards. The only thing drawbacks to this arc for me is that it does maybe go on for a little too long, particularly in the second act, and while I've accepted that everyone in One Piece is built different, I could not suspend my disbelief as literally everyone took multiple lightning strikes and after being knocked out for a bit were fine. I think why this bothers me compared to other instances where "Hey normal human beings Can't Do That" is because it really cuts the impact and threat level of Enel by a lot.
15. Impel Down
Tumblr media
Impel Down is just fun all the way through, and is where I realized how strong of a protagonist Luffy is. Luffy building a makeshift crew out of the villains we've seen up to this point was just a brilliant idea, and each of them really shine even if they were a kinda of eh villain before (which might be all of them with the exception of Crocodile). The Dante's Inferno inspiration and the secret Rocky Horror gay dive bar was a treat, the introduction of Jinbe and Ivankov were both highlights, and even with the main supporting cast set aside (which in many other series I would despise), it really works in Impel Down leading into Marineford. As I'm writing this I feel like I'm putting it too low, because I have really zero complaints, but I just enjoy what's ahead a bit more.
14. Jaya
Tumblr media
Jaya is so short but is one that comes back around so much in the story and has such memorable moments within the arc itself. Bellamy and Blackbeard are such great foils to Luffy, and Luffy and Zoro taking that beating in the bar really cemented how they're just on the same wavelength and also that what Shanks taught Luffy really stuck. A lot of big character introductions such as Blackbeard, Kuma, and Doffy (look at his stupid ass bird walk above lmao). Jaya lays a lot of groundwork for the themes of dreams and the overall world in One Piece, while also just being a good time.
13. Romance Dawn
Tumblr media
Everyone talks about how you have to get to Arlong Park before One Piece really starts getting good (which on one hand is true), but I was immediately intrigued at the very beginning with Romance Dawn. The flashback with Shanks really establishes the core of who Luffy is and sets up so many themes in the series within such a short amount of time, and the Zoro flashback is also very strong writing from the beginning where we can immediately get a sense of his character from that and his introduction when he's tied to the post. Captain Morgan and Alvida are pretty meh, but I liked Koby a lot at the beginning as well and I enjoyed Romance Dawn when I was watching it and looking back.
12. Loguetown
Tumblr media
Short arc that has a lot of good little moments throughout, and another arc where this will get better with time (especially when we get to know more about Dragon I think). No negatives to this arc for me really, I loved the introduction of Smoker and Tashigi, Luffy seeing the execution podium and also the lightning strike coming down to save him, Dragon saving Luffy from Smoker, and Zoro and Tashigi in the sword shop are all such great moments that keep getting built upon as the series goes on.
11. Post War
Tumblr media
Post War is really where I fell in love with Ace's character and made his journey throughout the series way more impactful in retrospect. Seeing him say that he wants to become a pirate even if people fear or hate him, and seeing that happen after Marineford where he's so clearly loved by so many and it overwhelms him, that got me. Luffy and Jinbe both standout here as well, seeing Luffy being broken by grief and Jinbe holding him down and asking what he still has, and Luffy remembers his friends? It's such a bitterweet moment. Such a good arc to round out pre-timeskip One Piece. Only complaint is that Sabo has maybe the most obvious fakeout death here in the whole series.
10. Thriller Bark
Tumblr media
HEAVILY letting my personal bias win on this one, I know that people don't view it that favorably and I get it. It's a bit bloated pacing wise, the villains range from mediocre to the worst in the series (looking at you Absalom, but not my ghost girl Perona <3), and this is the start of Sanji starting down a dark path of being overbearingly pervy. I get it all. The positives of this arc really outweighs all of this though for me. I love the gothic setting and it feels like the first time Oda really plays with genre. This is a contender for one of if not the funniest arc in One Piece, while also having some of the darkest but best moments in the series with Brook and Zoro (I could write an essay on both of them during this arc). I think every strawhat here has a multitude of shining moments with none of them fading into the background, and Moria as a foil to Luffy as a failed pirate king is such brilliant foreshadowing for Sabaody Archipelago.
9. Zou
Tumblr media
A fun fact about me is that almost everytime I see talking animals in a story, I hate it (if you follow me for JJK you know who my least favorite character is...). Chopper was a pretty big exception already but I wasn't looking forward to this arc when I saw the focus was going to be a tribe of talking animals. Little did I know just how much I would love the Minks tribe, the world of Zou, and just the sheer amount of setup it accomplishes while still being such an entertaining and fascinating arc in of itself. I have been spoiled for a lot in this series, which for the most part I haven't minded, but I am so glad I was never spoiled on "Raizo is safe." Completely blindsided me and is genuinely a contender for one of the best moments in the entire series. The sidecast of the Minks is so strong, the information we get about Laugh Tale and Wano is so intriguing, and after a pretty long stint of Sanji being mostly reduced to perv jokes for several arcs, this is the start of his amazing character development.
8. Marineford
Tumblr media
So just know that I know that this is objectively a top 5 arc in One Piece, this is a kind of climax few series can ever hope of achieving, and it's not even the halfway point. It was so much fun seeing characters all the way from episode 1 to 450ish show up for this fight, but the stars of the arc for me were Whitebeard, Jinbe, Doffy, Croc, Marco, Koby, and Buggy (for the comedy lmao). This is a fantastic arc with very very few drawbacks. The reason it's ranked lower than it should be is because 1. This is a long fight, and while they are great it's not the real reason I love this series, and 2. that I got spoiled sooo much for Marineford. Like a ridiculous amount. The obvious one being Ace, and I'm especially annoyed about it because I got spoiled for it in such a stupid way. I really don't mind spoilers most of the time but this really cut the tension for me in a lot of places, and it didn't affect the quality but it did affect my overall enjoyment where it isn't an absolute favorite of mine. With that said, Marineford is still so good and has some of the best moments in the whole series.
7. Alabasta
Tumblr media
This arc is maybe the most classic kind of story found in One Piece, and this is maybe the arc I would say you could show to someone without much context needed and if they enjoy this, they'll probably like the rest of it. The strawhats all have standout moments throughout this arc, I particularly like Nami, Zoro, and Sanji in this arc, but the two who steal the show are Vivi and Crocodile (which while Doffy I think is the best villain, Crocodile is my favorite and acts a fantastic challenge to both Vivi and Luffy). Alabasta feels like the first time of really digging into the politics of the world, and is such a classic epic fantasy which I adore. Pell's sacrifice would be a contender for one of the best moments in the series, but this ends up being maybe the most offensive and appalling fakeout death in the entire series (and there are...a lot). But this is really my only gripe with the arc.
6. Wano Country
Tumblr media
If there's an arc where I can just feel love poured into it, it's Wano. The buildup and anticipation was (for the most part) paid off so well, and Wano is one of the most beautiful worlds in the entire series. I was a little annoyed at first that there was so much focus on the Red Scabbards, but I really fell in love with them and their story with Oden. Yasuie's sacrifice is another contender for one of the best moments in the series, and of course the reveal of Gear 5 as well. Wano has some of the highest high's in One Piece, but is held back a little bit by a few different small things for me. Kaido and Big Mom feel a little bit disappointing, and Wano is carried by it's minor antagonists I think. The raid goes on for way too long and has quite a few throwaway characters that I don't think needed to be focused on or even included. There also are quite a few instances where "deaths" of certain characters are given a lot of weight and then it's a fakeout, while other characters who actually die don't get that same narrative weight, which was just a bit strange and jarring. Even with these issues though, this was such a fun world to spend a lot of time in and is still a top arc for me.
5. Arlong Park
Tumblr media
Literally every person always says "Get to Arlong Park before considering dropping the series" and I was like ok....I was already enjoying it before, particularly with Romance Dawn and Baratie. But yeah those almost pale in comparison to Arlong Park. What hasn't been said about it at this point. Nami's character arc throughout the East Blue saga is paid off so well and the strawhats going to help her really encapsulate all of the love they have for each other. Everyone knows the iconic moments like the hat pass off and Luffy destroying the map room (and I love both of those scenes), but an underrated scene is when Zoro jumps into the water to test Nami's bluff, betting his life on if she was a true friend or not (and he knew that she was). This arc also gets better with age from what we learn from Sabaody and Fishmen Island.
4. Whole Cake Island
Tumblr media
There are drawbacks to this arc that should place it lower than fourth place. The pacing isn't great, particularly with the rampage in the second act, I would have really liked more for Chopper to do in this arc, and Big Mom gets a little bit overshadowed here. But this arc was so desperately needed for Sanji's character and he won my heart again and establishes him as one of the most complex and interesting strawhats. Apart from him, Nami and Brook get some really incredible scenes as well, and the side cast with Germa and the Big Mom pirates is maybe the best in the series. Judge and Katakuri are both excellent villains in completely different ways, and I was so invested in Pudding, Reiju, and Chiffon. Not to mention this is also a top contender for one of the best worlds in the series, and I'm a big sucker for fairytales, especially when they're twisted ones like with WCI. The themes of family throughout this arc are some of the best written in any media I've seen and I fell in love with this arc despite it's flaws.
3. Sabaody Archipelago
Tumblr media
I really don't mind spoilers, but if there's any arc I'm happy I didn't get spoiled on it's this one. Thriller Bark was for the most part a fun time, but it had some really heavy moments towards the end that I was sure when arriving at Sabaody that this was also going to be a good fun time. It's a theme park! The introduction of the Worst Generation which leads to some really fun interactions especially with Kidd and Law. There's some really good humor in this arc. But oh my god was this arc just a gut punch out of nowhere, where it's maybe the most fucked up island to date, and recontextualizes so much of the broader One Piece world. The introduction of Rayleigh and Luffy punching the celestial dragon are such amazing moments, but of course the ending to the arc is what stands out. Seeing them lose so clearly, and taking into account they surely would have died without Rayleigh stepping in and Kuma having secret motives, it's devastating. Zoro being the first sent away and Robin the last is maybe one of the most evil writing moments in the entire series, but god is it so good. This will surely only get better once I read Egghead and Kuma's backstory.
2. Enies Lobby
Tumblr media
Yeah real original opinion I know, and you can really count this as tied to #1 as well, but if I had to choose I personally prefer the next arc just a little bit more. The special thing about Enies Lobby to me is of course the culmination of Robin's arc where she finds that she wants to live and seeing her backstory, but also the fact that each strawhat fades into the background, I can point out multiple amazing character moments for each of them throughout. CP9 is a good challenge for all of them, Gear 2 and 3 are amazing, and Sogeking shooting down the world flag feels like the start of One Piece in some ways. And of course, I cried over that stupid boat.
Water 7
Tumblr media
Another super original opinion, but yeah this is an arc that has only the highest of highs and I cannot personally think of a bad moment throughout the entire arc. Another contender for one of the most interesting and prettiest worlds in the series, with an amazing side cast with Galley La, the Franky family, and Kokoro and Chimney. The CP9 twist also got me good, and I originally disliked Franky but he won over my heart as well. Just like Enies Lobby this arc has standout moments for every strawhat that I could about in length, but the internal strife within the crew and how they're tested is unlike anything else in the series, and Usopp's character arc in Water 7 was so well written, and this where I really started loving him after his kind of rough introduction. If Oda can somehow write an arc better than this one I'll be in absolute shock, this is just incredible writing that most could never achieve.
If you read through this all thank you so much <3 I don't expect a lot of interaction from this post which is totally fine, I made this more for fun, but I love One Piece a super normal amount (<- a lie) and I love talking about it, so I always want to hear other people's opinions as well!

A chaotic little essay about Zoro and Nami’s pasts.
Unfortunately for everybody, I was thinking again.
I’m sorry if this seems chaotic, I’m trying to organize my thoughts as I’m writing them and english is not my first language, so it’s even harder.
Lately I’ve been thinking about Zoro’s genealogical tree (because of-fucking-course I would) and about the fact that it mentions that his father was killed by pirates. It reminded me of what Zoro said to Luffy when he asked him to join his crew the first time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We don’t know for sure if Zoro knows how his father died but this first reaction make so much sense with that in mind, especially because it doesn’t really sound like something he would say. Zoro is not one to judge an entire group of people for being one specific thing, he is intuitive and goes by what each person conveys to him (which is what leads him to join Luffy later on; also, his captain is the same).
All this is because, and probably someone already made this connection but... who is the only other mugiwara whose life was ruined because of pirates? Exactly, Nami.
One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that the mugiwaras are connected to each other in terms of personality in a variety of ways, you can find common ground between the weirdest duo you can think of and it will make perfect sense. And Zoro and Nami already have A LOT of things in common but this one is directly related to their backstory.
In my head I have some mugiwaras grouped in pairs according to their backstory:
Luffy and Usopp have an incredible admiration for pirates and have always wanted to be one (Luffy because of meeting Shanks and Usopp because his mother always told him stories about his father).
Sanji and Chopper were rejected by their blood family but found a new one in Zeff and Hiruluk (and the doctor), respectively.
Franky and Robin were betrayed by the government, by the people who were supposed to protect them, and lost their most loved ones because of them when they didn't deserve it.
And, if Zoro knows about how his father died, now I realized that Zoro and Nami might have been driven not only by their desire to protect their loved ones (Zoro by seeking to become stronger and Nami much more literally by working her ass off to free her people), but also by their contemp to pirates (in Zoro’s case, I think he despises any kind of criminal because of what he says in the scene above and because of what we’ve seen about him but I don’t want to get into that now).
Tumblr media
This brings me to the pool scene. Yes, a-fuckin-gain, I have no limits to talk about this moment. Picture me with a tin foil hat.
I just can't help but wonder what would be going through Zoro's head at the time with the context that he lost his father to pirates. The line that Nami reacts to that makes Zoro realize something is up is precisely when Arlong says she would forget her mother's death for money. It just adds a whole new layer to a scene that already has a dozen.
ODA I JUST NEED MORE INFOMATION TO FEED MY DEMENTED MIND I NEED YOU TO TELL ME MORE THINGS ABOUT ZORO’S PAST OR MAKE A SPIN OFF OR SOMETHING IF YOU CAN’T PUT THEM IN THE MAIN STORY !!!!!!!! I CAN’T LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ray, The East Blue Crew, and specific elements of their queerplatonic situation cause I’m feelings. Sentimental and missing them a lot rn :}
Tumblr media
As A Group-
Group cuddle and sleepovers are Very common with the East Blue Crew specifically. As time goes on others get included but for this group especially after a particularly tiring or difficult day they’re all laying on blankets on the floor with pillows and just enjoying each other’s physical company
Ray WILL initiate an "I love you" and Luffy, Nami, and Sanji always respond back and while it's not that Usopp and Zoro don't care deeply they just hold that kind of language very personal (And Ray doesn't mind, they know the two care) While the group isn't the most Hyper Affectionate they show they care and comfort in small ways. Casual hugs, head leans, hand holding, just flopping beside or in the case of Luffy and Ray just plain on top of others isn't unheard of. The whole group sees each other as life partners and the lines between platonic companionship as a friend group and a romantic polycule is very blurred and they just embraced it. All they know and care about is that they love each other and never want to leave each other's side.
Now onto them individually :}
Nami 🍊-
Nami and Ray are Hand Holders by the time Alabasta happens
Nami was the first that Ray actually had a conversation about how they feel about the East Blue Crew and how while it wasn’t romantic minus Sanji cough cough they still felt very strongly about them all and in a way they wouldn't consider normally platonic Nami Usopp and Ray are kind of their own trio in this context. Ray loves and cares for the others but Nami and Usopp are a special case, to the point of the three of them refer to their situation as being "platonically in love" When on the lawn deck the two often swap spots on the swing (Ray often sitting on it whenever Nami and Robin are busy doing other things) On the Sunny Ray has their own sleeping quarters but it's not unheard of, if Ray if having a particularly difficult night, for them to crawl into bed with Nami
Usopp 🎯-
SCAREDY CATS DUO Absolutely terrified of combat but willing to protect each other at any cost Ray and Usopp are each others safe space for emptying their negative emotions. They half a lot of the same fears and anxieties and trust each other a lot for being unjudgmental about the things that scare them. They both miss the Going Merry terribly and Water 7 was a lot emotionally for Ray because not only was the idea of losing the Merry difficult that on top of Usopp leaving left Ray very emotionally overwhelmed from the beginning. When Usopp got back through all the chaos Ray had already cried a handful of times. In my canon on the Sunny Usopp, as part of his own touch, has a garden on the lawn deck (along with other planter boxes around the ship) of different flowers and plants, specifically their assigned flowers obviously. (Fun fact Ray most resembles a violet !)
Luffy 👒- Luffy is an interesting case for this situation cause he's definitely familial for me so I see him more from a little brother lense. I'll try my best though lskgdndslkn Luffy and Ray are always open for a midnight or midday snack and have very similar tastes. Pray for any Jerky or other salty snacks within the vicinity of these two. These two are CONSTANTLY being physically affectionate and if Ray needs a hug Luffy is the one they go to for it cause for obvious reasons. And sometimes when Luffy is just RARING TO GO he'll just pick Ray up for a piggy-back ride and just fucking zoom. He's lucky he can get away with this as their captain lol I like to think in my Zoan DF AU Luffy is definitely the one they cuddle with in Beast Form and he ALWAYS pet them and scratch their ears. A boy and his dog core, you know?
Zoro ⚔️- Zoro is likely the most casual out of everyone. He shows he cares in more subtle ways and is easily the one who's bond is more out of respect and companionship than affection. Nami and Ray are the ones to get Zoro to his bunk/hammock at night or after Zoro's been drinking. Does he remember this? Who knows Obviously his swords are important and very personal for him so not just anyone is allowed to handle them. Eventually all the Strawhats get the honor of being able to handle them but for a while the only people who were allowed to touch his swords were the East Blue Crew and the only people trusted with their upkeep besides Zoro himself were Luffy and Sanji Sometimes in my Zoan DF AU Ray will just turn into Beast Form and just PLOP on Zoro when he's napping. Zoro finds this annoying at first but eventually he gets use to it and even begins to expect it.

Shatter Me part 3 of 4. Thanks for reading
She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. The whole reason for all of this was because he wanted to protect them, but instead of telling them he made his own rash decision. In all honesty if Ashlynn wasn’t holding her back right now she’d pummel him for his idiocy. “Max nows not the time,” she is reminded again by the assassin. “Just wait till after we get out of here then you can hit him,” Nami says in an attempt to calm the raging fighter. With a deep sigh she finally gives in and says,”fine I’ll wait”
She releases the fist she’d been holding and heads to the couch with the others it was definitely weird seeing everyone dressed so fancy. Nami in the skin tight halter styled red dress, Ashlynn in a white pant suit with and open top, Luffy even had an almost suit on, and Sanji looks like he walked out of a fairy tail in his suit. It’s apparently what he’s wearing to get “married” in. Maxine is in a black skin right dress with a gold collar and a slit on her right side. It was surprisingly comfortable and flexible, but Max was ready to get back in shorts.
“So that’s the plan. Here’s your mask lady’s. Remember your to find Sanji family and stay near them as much as possible,” Capone says as he hands Ashlynn and Maxine mask to conceal their faces. They nod and take them. Sanji stood to leave but before leaving he walked to them. “Thank you so much,” he says as he looks at them his eyes keep wondering to Maxine. “I’m sorry for everything,” he says and goes to say more but his nose starts to slowly drip blood. Maxine pulls out a tissue and shove it in his hand. “I’m not accepting shit right now. Try again after we save your family and get out of here” she says coldly. She wanted nothing more than to hug him and forgive him, but she had to make sure he understood how bad he hurt her. He didn’t say anything as he left. He knew he owed her more than an apology.
Ashlynn places a gentle hand on her should and Maxine turns into her hugging her. The two normally aren’t super affectionate but Maxine needed just a minute to be hurt and vulnerable, and that’s all she took. She pulls back and looks to Ashlynn” ready?” She ask putting on her best smile they had to head out soon. “Of course let’s go be badass waitresses. Just remember we can’t hit them even if we want to, “ the strawberry blonde says playfully.
“Ladies,” Capone says once the two women had put on they’re mask. “Let’s go,” he says leading the way. The duo follows him in. To say that Big Mom knew how to throw a party would be an understatement. They definitely couldn’t let their guard down. “There,” Ashlynn points to the Vinsmoke table as she starts walking that way. Max follows after her. She rolls her eyes as they get to the table and Sanji’s brothers notice them. All of them basically have heart eyes. “And who are you beautiful ladies” one ask. “Just some waitresses making sure everything is okay,” Ashlynn says as if she’d practiced. Maxine just nods. She’d let Ashlynn talk since she is a terrible liar. *small timeskip*
Maxine watches the commotion as Luffy jumped out of the cake well it was more like 20 of him but still. Big Mom looked very upset at the cake being broke , the Vinsmoke’s were surrounded by gunmen and Big Moms son with the lollipop, Sanji was trying to get to them but is facing a blue genie. “Max let’s move, I’ll take the gunman you help Sanji,” Ashlynn says as she pulls out her knives. She was right we’d need his help to break that candy. With a quick nod Maxine took off to the man who had stolen her heart. “Get off him!” She yells as her first connects with the genie getting off of him, as if on cue Big Mom let out a blood curdling scream. They put in the ear plugs. Ashlynn was able to take down all of the gun man as Sanji jumped into the to get a better kick on the table. What Maxine didn’t expect was to be in his arms as he did so.
You could see the shock on his family’s face as they landed on the table effectively breaking the candy. Max sits down Reiju raid suit after putting earplugs in her ears, as Ashlynn sets down Yonji and does the same for him, and Nami, Carrot, and Chopper brought the rest. “It’s on you now,”Nami says. Nami, Chopper and Carrot start running to the meeting place as Big Mom starts to get herself under control. Max notices Smoothie trying to grab Nami and pushes her out of the way. “Run Nami!” She yells to the orange haired female. Chopper had been grabbed by the oven male. Carrot and Ashlynn had been grabbed by the genie.
If max wasn’t being squeezed she would’ve been impressed by the transformation with the raid suits, but she was trying to get out of Smoothies grip. Thankfully Reiju kicked Smoothie with what max assumed as poison on her leg forcing Smoothie to throw Max. “Maxine!” Sanji calls out as he catches her. Maxine looks up at him thankfully. “Thanks,” she says before remembering she’s still mad. “Put me down,”she says and of course Sanji being the gentleman he is puts her down. Yonji freed Chopper and Ashlynn, although Ashlynn probably didn’t need his assistance. They all continued to run into big father.

⟡ op characters with a stronger s/o ,, luffy, zoro, usopp, nami, robin x f.reader
luffy
would be ecstatic about it. seriously loves it so much. he thinks it’s so cool and although he has a strong need for protecting you he loves that you can easily protect yourself and even him if you have to
“we’re gonna be the strongest duo on the grand line!”
“you’re gonna be my pirate queen one day!”
he doesn’t like it if you interfere in his fights when he’s clearly capable of winning himself, or even if he isn’t, he likes the challenge. he only allows you to help him if he’s really beat up and moments away from dying. he’s very stubborn with that.
makes you use your powers for stupid stuff sometimes
zoro
loves strong women so he’s totally into you being stronger than him
he loves watching you fight and win fights left and right. and even though it’s a bad thing and brings the crew trouble- he loves it when your bounty goes up.
it also eases him knowing that you can take care of yourself. that way he doesn’t worry too much during fights
loves training and fighting with you and you pushing each other to become stronger and better every day
usopp
would totally brag about you. like all the time. especially to sanji zoro and luffy. “my girlfriend is so great”
but he’s kinda insecure about why you’re with him when you could probably have zoro or luffy so he needs a lot of reassurance
overall loves it that you’re so strong though
makes you use your powers for pranks a lot
nami
similar to usopp she would brag about you to the guys and tell them how awesome you are and that you could easily take them in a fight
loves it when you use your powers on the boys when they’re fighting or being stupid
“don’t make me get y/n-“ she would warn them
always cheers you on
makes you help her steal money and gold and expensive things with your abilities
robin
wouldn’t care or mind if you’re weaker or stronger than her. she’s pretty neutral about it
but she does think it’s great that you can take care of yourself bc she doesn’t worry too much during fights
also likes it bc she knows that you could easily come save her if ever needed

Straw hats with a S/O who can transform into a dragon? But it’s not like she has a Zoan Type Devil Fruit or anything. Her species is like some sort of dragonkin or something. But her dragon form is unique, as it doesn’t have scales but feathers, so it’s a large but gentle feathered dragon, like Kanna from Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid! So cute!😍
Strawhats with a Dragon S/O Headcanons
(SFW)
(minus Chopper and Brook - will be included as friends rather than a S/O)
Luffy
Is impressed no matter how many times you transform
Has a lot of questions when you transform in front of him for the first time
“Can I ride you?”
“Is dragon good meat?”
“Why don’t you have scales? Are all dragons like this?”
“Do you have a large bounty?”
Is very protective of you and your unique ability
Will probably ask you to transform if he is tired or has eaten too much and can’t move
Zoro
Isn’t very impressed as the others the first time you transform
Will be shocked but will get over it fairly quickly
Will nap on you constantly
Is very protective of you in both dragon and human state - even if he doesn’t understand the big deal about you being a dragon
Won’t ever ask for your advantages as a dragon - will walk himself to death before asking yo ride you
Is extra annoyed around Sanji - as he is very impressed by your ability
Is interested in your teeth/claws and how they measure up to his sword abilities
Nami
Is more scared than impressed with you to begin with
Will eventually get over it if you save her in battle
Will take full advantage of your dragon form
Will ride on you when tired
Will ask you to shield her in fights, from the sun when it’s hot
Will also love you endlessly and protect you
Will fight off anyone that goes near you
Is aware of your unique powers and in turn the bounty that comes with it
Will basically call you her previous treasure
Sanji
Is more in love and in awe of you than before
Won’t shut up about it
Will treat you more carefully like you’re made of glass instead of feathers
Will ask questions about your diet and try his best to accustom to it
Barks at Luffy whenever he comes near you - afraid he will try and use you for meat
Won’t ask you to lift a finger - thinks transforming takes a lot out of you
Will offer to run a relaxing bath for you after you transform
Will be overly protective - sometimes a little too much
Usopp
Is terrified of you at first
Will probably hide behind Zoro with Chopper and Nami
Doesn’t understand that you’re gentle until you protect him
Will defend you to the ends of the earth
Become the ultimate duo with him riding on your back - easier to be a sniper
Will also ride on your back with Luffy and Chopper for fun
When he gets scared you will wrap him into your wing while he sleeps to feel safe
Chopper
Is scared of you
Thinks you may eat him
Won’t go near you unless need be
If you get hurt will be the first to run to you and make sure you’re okay
Will warm up to you and realise you’re not a threat
Will happily join Luffy and Usopp with riding on your back
Likes to sleep in your wings like Usopp when scared
Robin
Will be impressed when you transform for the first time
Is very fascinated by you
Adores your feathers
Is very gentle with you and will make sure you are looking after yourself
Likes to groom and wash you in your dragon form
Will read up books about dragons to better understand you
Will protect you with her life if needs be
Will read against you, your wing wrapped around her protectively
Franky
Is excited when you transform
Will attempt to build you modifications to help you in flight and also help the crew in battles
Isn’t phased by your largeness
Feels more comfortable hugging you when you’re a dragon because of your size
Will ask you to be more in dragon form for comfort
Is impressed with your unique feathers and will study them
Will attempt to create something similar for himself to match you
Brook
Is intrigued and also a little scared when you first transform
Likes to sing you songs
Will make up songs about you
Likes to make jokes about your feathers tickling his skin “that’s if I had any skin”
Will make some comment asking if dragons have panties
Enjoys just sitting and talking to you in dragon form as he feels comfortable with you in that form like Franky
Won’t ask for rides - is more happy to walk next to you

Hey~ I saw this req a few minutes ago. Sooo can i req something related? Not the same actually. This time, the fem s/o is a competitive gamer on youtube/twitch. Also the men are Kidd & Zoro 👀 Thx thx~ If you're too busy, you can ignore this 👍
Tumblr media
Kid & Zoro with Competitive Gamer! Fem! S/O
Summative: Your gaming hobby enticed your boyfriend to join in. Have fun making chaos, bestie ;)
Tumblr media
Eustass Kid:
- Tulip head as your boyfriend? Good luck, bestie 👍
- Jk jk
- Kid as your boyfriend is not that bad. Your words not mine 🫡
- But seriously, Kid is a decent boyfriend but with a major temper.
- I mean, everyone knows that right?
- Anyways, as a Twitch streamer, you stream your gameplays a lot (obv). Your favorite games would be those gun fighting games. (Is that how it's called?) Like Valorant, COD and the likes.
- And ofc, as a fellow gamer himself, Kid would join your stream quite often.
- When you guys are gaming together, there would be consequences. The stakes are high and Kid was sooo confident that he can beat you but...
- You beat his ass instead, man's face was red as his hair lol. He'll curse at you before rage quitting.
- This happens quite often, I kid you not :P
- Yep, pun intended XD
- Sometimes, you, Kid, Killer, Heat and Wire would team up together when it's a team battle.
- Kid would be aggressive, cackling evilly when he's shooting bullets after bullets at a dead player. You had to stop him from doing this a lot of times lol
- Heat and Wire are the duo that would attack the enemies in a synchronous manner. You can count on them for watching your back.
- Killer would probably the most chill out of the 5 of you. You and Kid would sometimes argue which path to take while Wire and Heat have their own world. You bet your ass Mama Killer saves your team's asses all the time from losing lol
- Donations would flood in, sometimes they include: Kid should wear a maid dress, Killer should take off his mask, Heat and Wire should kiss, and so more crazy suggestions 🤣
- Kid punched the screen once he saw the maid dress dare. Man's livid lol
- Your streams have never been boring, actually it is the type of stream were viewers are anticipating for every upload you make :)
Roronoa Zoro:
- In the early stages of your relationship, Zoro accidentally discovered your streaming hobby. He walked in on you whooping after a win.
- He'll squint his eyes at you like ತ_ʖತ
- "What are you doing?"
- You took off your headphones, turning to look at him, "Streaming my gameplay, wanna join?"
- Immediately, Zoro would plop down next to you on an unoccupied PC (yes, you have two), smirking at you. "Say no more, babe."
- At first, you have to teach him the basics. Luckily, he's a fast learner but.... He gets lost. A LOT.
- "Babe! What the heck! It's this way, not that way!" "Where are you going?! There's a cliff there!?" "Zoro! The enemy's that way! Wtf are you doing in a damn chimney?!"
- The last one was a reference to that episode in Water Seven where Zoro got stuck in a chimney XD
- Anyways, Zoro loves sword fighting so obviously he would prefer RPG than gun games.
- Once, he asks you if he can wield three swords, but you said no. He was upset that time XD
- Luffy discovered your Twitch account and then seconds later, you saw his gang joined in with you and Zoro.
- When all of you are fighting this powerful boss, everything is chaotic.
- Luffy is laughing as he taunts the boss.
- Usopp and Chopper would be yelling at him to stop.
- Nami would be hiding behind Robin. While the latter was just standing there, amused at all the chaos going on.
- Sanji was standing in front of you ladies, claiming to protect you with all of his life, kicking those minions away.
- You would try to think of a plan with Brook and Franky.
- However, Zoro got lost in the map so Jinbe was tasked to take him to you guys
- Once Jinbe returned with Zoro, the boss have already been defeated. Ya'll are on your last bar of life while the moss head would be just looking around, smirking.
- "Oh, it's dead already?"
- Irked, everyone yelled and cursed at him at the same time.
- It may be chaotic but you all have fun! :D
- Your streams would be popular and receive lots of donation due to your boyfriend's dumbass handsomeness.
- Yep, that's how your streaming career goes XD

Hello!
I really love your headcannons about Strawhats with Teen reader, that's why...
If you don't mind - Can I ask for Platonic Strawhats with Female! Teen reader that tend to be the quietest in the crew because of her shyness?
I also had and the next idea after this one- but I don't want to overwhelm you with it. Take care of yourself!
Have a nice day!
Sorry for the wait, here you go!
Luffy
He was intrigued by you
That’s why he forced you onto his ship. And then he realized that instead of having a convoluted backstory, you were shy
And quite honestly it was refreshing
Even though he likes being around Chopper and Usopp and be loud as heck, he likes spending time with you
You balance him out
And even though you’re not an adult, he’ll go to you for advice. This makes the rest of the crew confused (and low-key mad) because he doesn't want their advice
But most of the time he doesn’t take your advice anyways
I think that you two are close, seeing as he is endlessly extroverted and will break through your walls no matter how hard you try
Most of the time he leaves you to your own devices, but he will drag you to large parties and make you feel as welcome as possible
He does the same on the ship, but that was never a problem anyways because everyone likes you
Feels the need to protect you, not only because you’re a member of the crew, but also because you’re the youngest
10/10 I can see him giving you some of his food (only some)
Zoro
Ultimate big brother vibes
Likes to go to you for a quiet space because the ship can be loud
So he spends a lot of time with you… sleeping
He also half-asks questions to fill up the space and gets to know you pretty well
He also feels a need to protect you since he sees you as kinda weak (but almost everyone is weaker compared to him)
He will also feel the need to shield you from the craziness of the ship
Like sir, it’s nice that you care, but they can take care of themselves too you know?
Doesn't incorporate you into the crew since… he’s mostly sleeping. But he would try, and he would fail because they already like you
Cue him being shocked that he wasn’t your only friend on board, but to be fair he is sleeping most of the time and not watching you
He likes the calmness you bring to the ship, good for his meditation sessions (but I don't think you want to just sit there why he meditates)
I can see you having fun with him and Chopper, maybe play a board game
8/10 calm down sir, they can take care of themselves
Nami
She’s like the cool and fun older sister
She likes to dress you up in her old clothes, and then gush about how cute you look (no, not her super tiny bikinis)
She takes it onto herself to guide you through… whatever I guess
Also feels the need to protect you from dudes
I think that she gives good advice, but when combined with Robin the two of them give life-altering wisdom
You can go to her for anything from how to sew to how to manipulate people
Always gives you juice when the crew starts drinking
If the ship starts to get too rowdy she will shout at everyone to keep it down, and then turn to smile at you as if her actions were for you
She will share her tangerines with you
I think that she wants to protect you, but is frustrated at the fact that she can’t be as strong as the Monster trio (but everything works out in the end)
If you borrow money from her, she will reduce the interest (only by a little)
9/10 only downside is the interest (if you ever borrow money)
Usopp
He was high-key suspicious of you
To be fair he is suspicious of anyone and everything, and seeing as you were quiet he was on the edge
But after you saved his life, he gets all buddy-buddy (really Usopp? You got saved by a teenager)
I think the two of you would get to know each other when he’s working on a new invention, and you guys are having idle chatter
Now he tried to act like a cool older brother. Always ready to swoop in and talk about his “accomplishments”
He will do just about anything to make you laugh
I can see some crazy (but fun) times with him, Chopper, and Luffy
He would give bad advice, but occasionally he does have some piece of wisdom
He would try to protect you, but… yeah
He ends up feeling bad, and incompetent. But tell him that he was amazing or something and he’ll be fine
I think he would get frustrated when you beat him at a game of cards
10/10 he is just so fun to be around
Sanji
Also acts like an older brother
He tries to protect you from guys, saying that they’re all dogs (but then you point out that he’s a guy)
This also means he tries to limit your time around Zoro, saying that he’s a bad influence
Then the two start to fight and right as they pull you into it, Nami hits both of them and carries you off to eat or something
Gives you more food because you’re still growing
He is a surprisingly good listener and when he chimes in his advice are always good
And like all of the crew, he will try to protect you from danger (ma’am you are still a teen, why are you on this ship? Oh wait, Luffy…)
I said he acts like your older brother, but he also acts like a proud dad sometimes
Like sir, why are you crying? All they did was perform twinkle twinkle little star on the piano (Brook taught you)
He also tries to restrain his pervert tendencies around you, but when they inevitably happen he can’t look you in the eyes for several days (he also smokes more. It gets to a point where you have to confront him)
He also teaches you how to cook
8/10 he can get a little extra sometimes
Chopper
If things get too crazy on the ship, he likes to go to you
I feel like he would try to act like a big brother, but you would just pet him (sorry Chopper)
I can see Chopper trying to get you to socialize more with the crew. Just drags you out with his tiny Reindeer paws
I can see you confiding in him a lot because it’s kinda like venting to a stuffed animal (again, sorry Chopper)
He gives (almost) child-like advice, but it’s so simple and it always works
I think you would beat both him and Usopp at games, and then they would proceed to chase you around
He would try to protect you, but he also knows that you need to push yourself to get stronger, so he lets you fight some of your fights
When you end up hurt, he always makes sure to be extra vigilant with your care
I believe that you would also try to protect him, but his pride would end up hurt
I think you two would spend a lot of time in his office for a quiet place to read (and for him to do work)
He makes you help him organize stuff
10/10 a great duo
Robin
She is the kind older sister
She is such a good listener, and her advice would solve all of the world's problems
If things get crazy on the ship, you go to her. She has the presence of calm around her that just soothes you
I think she would also like to participate in dressing you up with Nami. That means you get to wear Nami’s old clothes and Robin’s old clothes
Robin always has an extra book and cup of tea reserved for you. Tea times are when you two like to ramble about anything and everything. This is also the place where you can vent and the both of you talk about your past
She would like to teach you about world history, while you listen and ask questions
She would try to teach you how to read one glyph, but if it’s too hard she stops (and low-key gets sad)
Robin also lets you help her garden. She enjoys having a person keep her company while she does the things that make her happy
She thinks that you are too adorable, and that also makes her go into a momma bear mode when she thinks you are in danger
She will yell at crew members, and she will annihilate the enemies
Robin sees you in a similar way to Chopper, so if you say something dirty or cuss, her image of you will be ruined
10/10 she is perfection
Franky
I see him as a weird uncle figure
He mostly hides in his workshop and creates weird but cool inventions while you watch him and ask what he is doing
I don’t see you two talking about important things, just you two having fun and making jokes
He is fun to watch, but when he tries to get you to participate— it’s even more fun
I can see Robin trying to shield you from him (hey, he says he’s a pervert)
He would share his cola with you (I can see some very fun crew bonding time when everyone gets cola and huddles around Franky’s new invention)
Franky is the opposite of shy, so sometimes it gets to be a bit too much
Like sir, please leave them alone for one second
I think that Franky and Usopp would try to teach you how to make things
And if you like to prank people… they’ve created a monster
Expect all three of you to get yelled at
8/10 pretty good, but he does say some stuff that you don’t get sometimes
Brook
Another weird uncle
When he asked to see your panties, both Robin and Nami slapped him so hard, he had flown off
He never asked again
I can see him joining in on the Robin history over tea, and add things in he knows from living during the period (dang he’s old)
He occasionally makes the tea you three drink
I think he would try to teach you how to use a sword, and then get yelled at so he teaches you to play instruments instead
He’s a surprisingly easy-going teacher, if you don’t practice he’s not mad. He just assumes you don't want to learn. That means he won’t teach you, which leads you to practice
He would let you peek inside of his skull and then jumpscare you. It works every time
Brook would tell you about what he did during the two-year time skip, all while you’re laughing at the fact they called him Satan
I think that being around you and Luffy would make him remember his days as a teen
Starts to get all weary like a dad (and just like Sanji)
7/10 rough start, but good ending
Jinbei
He is the dad (not like, is)
He is always concerned for your health, and whether you should be fighting or not
He told Luffy that it was ridiculous to bring a teen on board, but then he realized Luffy is only 19…
Jinbei is always there to make sure you feel included, and will often leave the crew’s festivities just to hang out with you
Honestly, his old man self likes the quiet you bring
If you ask him, he’ll tell you about Fishman history (also over Robin History Tea Times)
100% tries to protect you. I think that can make you frustrated at times, but he has saved you so you can’t be too mad
So he teaches you Fishman Karate (it gets Robin’s stamp of approval because there are no sharp objects)
Jinbei gives the best advice, again dad and old man
He’s able to see different perspectives and tell you the best course of action (that gets annoying when you just want him to take your side, but you have Nami and Robin for that)
Also is proud of you when you achieve something (part of the tears dad group)
10/10 every group needs a parent figure
