I did not expect Lea to be so ashamed of that hug but Lukas has been unreachable for the entire second half of the game

Was there any doubt that these goobers would be cool with Lea being an AI? Or an excuse to go on the coolest meta raid of their lives? Didn't think so.

Important question. There are many crosscode height scholars who have come before me and done pixel by pixel analysis to determine everybodys height in feet and inches but lets not worry about that. we only need to figure out if he is short or tall. so for simplicitys sake lets base this off the portrait sprites bc that is where the height differences are most visually evident.

We dont have super concrete information about anybodys height except lea who is canonically, textually Short. Emilie looks to only be a little bit taller than lea. As for c'tron his stupid fucking hair may throw you off at first but if we measure his and emilies hairlines they seem to actually be almost exactly the same height.

Conclusion: He's Smalled

however we can take this further. to be truly fair i think we should compare him to the rest of the first scholars

measuring by the same standard, lukas and albert are significantly taller than him while hlin and buggy are juuuuuust barely taller by like a pixel or 2. nonetheless making him the shortest in this lineup.

*or medium. I guess in the end it really depends on how much taller c'tron and emilie actually are compared to lea. Anyway, what i feel to be true in my heart is that he is medium-short, but it doesnt really matter because i often end up drawing him taller by accident anyway.

Yeah this height difference is pretty funny. i love how nonthreatening everything about him is in comparison. imagine being shizuka and your evil murderous boss from hell reincarnates as a short king and everybody loves him and wants to keep him around because of his sweet and polite demeanor. id want to beat the shit out of him too

CrossCode full game and dlc spoiler rambling:

Whenever I’m thinking about Luke and Lukas there’s always a corner of my brain thinking about the fact that the moment Luke reneges his claim to the name Lukas exactly follows after Lukas responding to the Super Lukas joke with “I’ll be True Lukas, then.’”

Like. Kinda fucked up thing for Lukas to say when you stop and think about it. C’mon man that was a pretty big fuckup. He could’ve used a nickname in CrossWorlds instead of making Luke give up his name for his entire existence. Yeah it’d be more confusing for him and his irl friends but they could make it work for the sake of not making him rename himself.

(I still like him though to be clear. I like him more for the mistake than if he’d handled it well honestly. What can I say I’m a Shizuka fan.)

I also keep thinking about that scene where Lea dreams of receiving her name. Like, we know the Lea of five years later so she’s super used to being named Lea, but I just keep picturing that moment. She was just activated. Barring the language impairment she’d still be pretty close to a perfect clone of a younger Shizuka at that point. No memories, floating with no idea what’s happening to her. And then this guy just fuckin’ names you?! I keep wondering, did she ever feel something off at first? Ever suspect this was wrong?

Did she ever remember that her name was Shizuka? She spent a fair bit of time around Satoshi, as I understand it. That would cause her to regain memories much faster! Did she ever wonder why her own brother wouldn’t tell her her own name? And even if she remembered it herself, she wouldn’t be able to tell anyone she remembered her name, I don’t think ‘name’ is a concept she would be capable of learning a word for at that point in her life.

Also I should really do a separate post about all my many thoughts about how “C’Tron” is presented as just one of the accounts he changes between and how that must fuck his sense of self. But that’s a whole other thing so for now: I also muse about how C’Tron has so so many names and every last one of them has been a fake. He, seemingly, does not even remember what his/Sidwell’s real name ever was.

Now the one name he chose to befriend interrogation target 78 under has stuck to him permanently. But he’s known it’s fake for just about as long as he’s been alive. Did it stop feeling that way just because it’s the last name he has left?

Buggy is 100% living in interplanetary australia and has a couch bolted to te wall. Apollo is working at publix. Joern and him make model airplane kits. Lukas is absolutely picking up guitar. Someone puts Lea in a roomba. First Scholars road trip where everyone is video chatting Lea the whole time and they have a rotation on who has chargers and who's streaming at a given time so Lea doesnt miss a moment. Shizuka wears a gamer girl shirt. Apollo is talked into bolting Lea's couch to the wall specifically to piss of Shizuka. Emilie tries to climb railings to trespass places and they have to go get her ass. Sergey is somehow puppy dog eyes'd into installing the words autism and kill into Lea
