This life, a ride I didn’t get to choose but I sure do get a say on the direction it takes. Today, I got to skinny dip in the refreshing waters of a natural spring, 5°C/41F, my #lukestoreymoment @lukestorey

Just doing me, unapologetically and it needs not to be understood by the wider public, as I am lucky to have people in my life who'd take that plunge with me.

forceofnaturemeats:  Last month Force of Nature hosted a field harvest at one of our bison ranches, located in Fredericksburg TX. The event was a small gathering of folks who came to share in the celebration of the life giving force of our animals, our ecosystem and the soil on which we all depend. It was a powerful day that began with the harvesting of one of America's largest land animals and keystone species, the American bison, followed by a ranch tour, a butcher tutorial and a lunch in the sun provided by Force of Nature. The guests were able to see, touch and taste the impact that regenerative practices can have on the land and our bodies. Cell phones are great devices and have enhanced our lives in good ways. However it is essential for us to know what they are capable of doing to our bodies and environment. I know people who sleep with cellphones beside their head on their pillow. 🤯Whenever I have mentioned something, I have been ridiculed. I discovered Katonah Yoga and Abbie Galvin on a recent podcast tour of New York City, at the recommendation of a Life Stylist listener that I happened to meet at a sound bath at The Woom Center, a few doors down from Abbie's studio on Bowery. I signed up for my first Katonah class online that night, then dropped into The Studio the next morning- and I haven't been the same since. Having been a practitioner of various styles of yoga for twenty years, I was expecting some version of a typical yoga flow class that day. What I experienced in Abbie's class was nothing less than incredible. It became quickly evident that this class was more of an intense, small-scale workshop than another teacher-led Hatha flow. This was spiritual science in the flesh. It was physical and emotional transformation, using a seemingly mystical amalgam of various teachings all at once. Using chairs, blocks, blankets, and various other props, Abbie led me and my body through postures and poses that I would have previously thought impossible. This practice had depth, and a seemingly endless potential for expansion. I was sold. So immediately following class I bum rushed Abbie for an interview, to which she graciously agreed. “Light is a lot like food. Just like whole food can be broken down into different vitamins and minerals, sunlight can be broken down into different colors. And just like the nutrients in whole food, each color in sunlight has its own effect on our bodies.
