Corolla spectabilis (Gastropoda - Thecosomata - Cymbuliidae) , обычно называемая морской бабочкой, представляет собой вид планктонных морских слизней, принадлежащих к группе, которую в совокупности называют крылоногими моллюсками. Распространение этих удивительных созданий ограничено западной частью Атлантического океана и восточной частью Тихого океана, а также редко встречаются в Средиземном море.

Corolla spectabilis  характеризуется наличием одной пластины крыла (структуры, напоминающие крылья) и студенистого внутреннего псевдоконха, который содержит висцеральную массу. Псевдоконх может вырасти примерно до 6 см в длину у крупных животных, с размахом пластины крыла 16 см.   

Жизнь морских бабочек, обитающих на глубине около 25 метров, подчинена океанским течениям. Размахивая полупрозрачными «крылышками», они поднимаются к поверхности воды, следуя за своей добычей. Одной из самых интересных особенностей этих морских бабочек является их способ питания. Они производят слизистую паутину, во много раз превышающую размер животного и имеющую диаметр около 2 м, чтобы запутывать и ловить планктонную пищу, диатомовые водоросли и веслоногих ракообразных. Опускаясь ниже на ��но, морские бабочки поднимают крылышки кверху.

Corolla spectabilis (Gastropoda - Thecosomata - Cymbuliidae), commonly called the sea butterfly, is a species of planktonic sea slug belonging to a group collectively called pteropods. These amazing creatures are restricted to the western Atlantic Ocean and the eastern Pacific Ocean, and are also rarely found in the Mediterranean Sea.

Corolla spectabilis is characterized by the presence of a single wing plate (a structure resembling a wing) and a gelatinous internal pseudoconch that contains the visceral mass. The pseudoconch can grow to about 6 cm in length in larger animals, with a wing plate span of 16 cm.

Living at depths of about 25 meters, the sea butterflies are subject to ocean currents. Flapping their translucent “wings,” they rise to the surface of the water, following their prey. One of the most interesting features of these sea butterflies is their method of feeding. They produce a mucous web, many times larger than the size of the animal and about 2 m in diameter, to entangle and catch planktonic food, diatoms, and copepods. As they descend to the bottom, the sea butterflies lift their wings upward.

BMW Vision Driving Experience, 2025. What is effectively an M3 version of the Vision Neue Klasse concept has been presented prior to its inclusion at the world's largest motor show in Shanghai. The Vision Driving Experience is billed as being specced for development purposes and has torque of up to 18,000 Nm available. Features included luminescent paint, active aerodynamics and wheels that light up. The paint's special light-sensitive pigments recharge in daylight. The prototype features a "Heart of Joy" computer control that will be a feature of all future BMW Neue Klasse EVs.

Murky Luminescent Seas

I took her legs she doesn’t deserve them. ANYWAYS

Seas has gone from blue to red and has taken a more siren approach to her design just to fit the region she is located in. She is based off of the Red Copper Betta fish with the colors more dull and no black and the various large fins.

Her puppet is not entirely metal, with her arms and head being made of metal and her chest to her tail being that of fabric and stuffing.

Despite that her personality is still the same. She’s jumpy and excitable, all the more curious about the ocean around her, and loves all her scugs to death. Seas doesn’t have overseer, but instead uses Scugs as not only her eyes, but all of the 5 senses. Whatever the scugs eat and taste, seas can taste it as well. Same thing with the other senses. This gives Seas the idea to try and transfer herself into a scug she made for herself to be free from her Can.

Her placement is rather isolated. Cliffs block her view of the other three Iterators and she doesn’t belong to any Iterator group. Her structure is almost completely submerged in the ocean except for her city. Tho, soon her structure will be completely submerged and only time will tell when that will ever happen. Despite her being rather far from others , she is still able to communicate with the other Iterators that are closest to her.

( I’m thinking of drawing some of these main/sub regions just to get a better idea of placement. I’ll do it when I have the time )

Мнемиопсис – хищник, это плотоядное животное питающийся зоопланктоном, икринками, личинками рыб и моллюсков. На свету переливается яркими цветами, ночью придает морским волнам желтоватое люминисцентное свечение.

По самым последним данным ученых гребневик является одним из первых живых созданий на планете Земля. Ранее считалось, что этот титул принадлежит морским губкам — гораздо более примитивным существам.

Совсем недавно Гребн­евик Мнемиопсис (Mne­miopsis leidyi) – обитал лишь по ту стор­ону океана: вдоль во­сточного побережья Северной и Южной Амер­ики, от Канады до Ар­гентины. Но, благода­ря интенсивному судо­ходству, вместе с ба­лластными водами он перебрался и в Европ­у. Как оказалось, гр­ебневик может приспо­сабливаться к большо­му диапазону солёнос­ти. Теперь его ареал обитания включает Чёрное море, Азовское, Эгейское и Мраморн­ое моря, западное по­бережье Швеции, даже почти пресное Балти­йское море .

In the light it shimmers with bright colors, at night it gives the sea waves a yellowish luminescent glow.

According to the latest data from scientists, the ctenophore is one of the first living creatures on planet Earth. Previously it was believed that this title belongs to sea sponges - much more primitive creatures. More recently, the Ctenophore Mnemiopsis (Mnemiopsis leidyi) lived only on the other side of the ocean: along the eastern coast of North and South America, from Canada to Argentina. But, thanks to intensive shipping, it moved to Europe along with ballast waters. As it turns out, the ctenophore can adapt to a wide range of salinity. Now its habitat includes the Black Sea, the Azov, Aegean and Marmara Seas, the western coast of Sweden, even the almost fresh Baltic Sea.

The Marketplace of Identity

Today I'm thinking about how anglocentric queer communities do not view identities and positionalities as descriptive terms outlining their material circumstances and relationship to society, but rather as items on a menu that are meant to be selected from freely, to build one's Personal Brand and aesthetics.

In such an environment, any assertion of the materiality of a construct, the tangible reality it is meant to connote and communicate, registers as a violence, as "gatekeeping", because the identity was never supposed to be about conveying one's particular state of abjection. It is a toy in a basket, and pleas to consider the meaning of phrases are parsed as slapping one's hand away from something shiny.
