One of my more recent drawings! I challenged myself to draw 1-2 favorite ponies from each generation and ended up with these gals. I kinda wanted to have Autumn Blaze join Luna in the G4 category but alas

in light of all of the unhinged gay mecha queer posting, I'm thinking about Luna-Terra again
the thing I find so compelling about LT is that she's the only one out of the three main girls to have had an intimate experience with real actual "I have to kill or die" type violence. all of the other pilots have, essentially, just been play fighting out in space. it's not *not* dangerous but theyre fighting concepts, abstractions - there's not really a huge risk of bloodshed, just change. LT, on the other hand, has come away with real wounds and carries that damage inside her, forever. it's why she's okay with such a downer ending, if it means everyone comes home alive. she's cynical, a coward even, but it comes from a real place of genuine love for her enemies - because they're all closer to being her comrades than her handlers ever were.
"What, why don’t I go home too? And leave all those idiots to just fucking die on a rock? Who do you think we’re doing this for?"

Drew Rosalina 🌙 ✨
And her little star Luna ⭐
Info-Why does Rosalina look so different? I designed her to appear as a tired mother and Star royalty, blessed to have her Lumas by her side. She sees them all as her children, particularly her closest Luma turned human, "Luna". Rosalina grew up fast after the loss of her mother and felt alone. As a child with no parental figure, she chose to be her own mother. However, she is terrified of losing her beloved children, even if it's the natural cycle of life and death. She doesn't get enough sleep due to her duties as the technical queen of space, building the Comet Observatory for her massive family, including Luna.
Why did Luma (Luna) turn into a human? Well, after meeting Mario and his friends who resembled humans, they wanted to experience something new. They asked their mother, Rosalina, for help, and she was unsure if it would fully work, as she had never turned anything into a human before. Thankfully, Rosalina's years of experience with magic allowed her to perform the spell correctly. The humanoid Luma then named themself Luna and went on to have many memorable adventures with their new friends.
Luna is considered to be the big sister or big brother, and they don't mind being called different pronouns. They don't understand the concept of gender and chose a form that's closest to looking like their mother. Luna is taller than most of the Mario cast, although not as massive as Rosalina. Rosalina can be 10 feet or 5 feet depending on the occasion, while Luna's powers are limited. Luna is currently in training to use cosmic magic, and needs to use a Rosalina wand to do so. My Rosalina in this AU can use cosmic magic without a wand, and her lifelong experience with magic is reflected throughout her appearance. She has a cape that's essentially a black hole, where she can be anything inside and pull something random. That's where she keeps all of her Lumas for safekeeping. Luna's cape, on the other hand, lacks this ability, but it can sparkle like a fairy.
Rosalina's outfit resembles her original design, with some slight differences. This is her relaxation outfit, which she wears when taking a break from her responsibilities and wants to unwind. Her pupils resemble stars, along with the coloring on her fingers, legs, nose, and ears. This is the result of using cosmic powers for many decades, which have a lasting effect on their appearance that varies depending on their emotions and state of mind. Luna, on the other hand, does not have this problem because they instead use a ward to control their magic.
That's all for today. ε-(´・`) フ
