My Real People Ships and Their Types Tag

Basing on this post: http://thxsetwxkids.tumblr.com/post/146001106282/there-are-five-types-of-ships here are all the “real people” ships that I’ve ever shipped and how I’d categorize them. They are ordered per type according to when I shipped them. :) Let this be a tag! I tag whoever reads this. Like this if you’re doing this too. :) Credits to thksetwxkids for the types of ships. :)

The Painful Ships:

1. Joshifer (Hunger Games): I really believed that they could be together. They are best friends and just have so much chemistry in real life. It got to the point that I shipped Joshifer more than Everlark because Jen and Josh just play off each other so well. They have undocumented meet-ups, they are so close with each other’s families, and they admit to being needy to each other. And the way they look at each other and how they act when they’re together just made me believe in love. But then Josh had a gf and I went from thinking that it will be a temporary (or made-up) relationship to respecting it fully because Josh does seem to get irritated when his relationship with Claudia is questioned. I think too that they are afraid of risking their friendship so they won’t be together. And although they do address the shipping and actually encourage it, by the time the last movie dropped, Jen was actively trying to show public support to Josh’s relationship. I really think they had the potential to be canon, but their friendship came in the way. (Not that I don’t like the fact that they’re friends. I love their friendship).

The Timeless Ships:

1. GrintSon (Rupert Grint and Emma Watson): I would admit that I started shipping them because I shipped RonMione but there was a period of time that I really believed that Emma was fond of Rupert in a more-than-friends way. But deep down, I knew it would never be canon. They acknowledged the fact that they were shipped. It was a stress-free ship that just had people cooing over their interactions when it was just them 2.

The Heartache Ships:

1. NyongTory (Bigbang): I really want them to be canon obviously, but there are times when I think that it just seems so impossible because they act so straight (well, Seungri mostly). I die at their moments together and am just generally happy when they interact and are all lovey-dovey. But I have to admit, there are moments when I really doubt them. Honestly, I’d be okay if they were dating or not because I’ve gotten to the point that all I want is their happiness, but of course it will be infinitely better if they are really together. They’re the only ship I write for, and the fact that my latest stories about them are all angsty reflect my mood towards them right now. However, there’s really no “solid proof” but what we deem as “proof” is substantial enough to actually insinuate that there might be something there. But then so does every other GD ship. They do encourage people to ship them but this encouragement actually makes me doubt them more. Basically, I’m at extreme ends with this ship. They bring me so much happiness and confusion. xD

2. Phan (Youtube): Honestly, this ship has the best “proof” of all my ships that could have been (or is?) canon. (*cough* that thing-that-must-not-be-named). However, I go back and forth with them because they might just be platonic biffles who are super clingy together. But right now, I’m more convinced that they are a thing. Honestly, I’d be okay with them just being friends because, like NyongTory, I just want happiness for them (like if they’re not together let them be neighbors whose kids are best friends for life too). However, I’m leaning more towards them having actual feelings and are together til now. From the little time I spent in the Phandom and reading around, I’m fairly convinced that they got together in 2009, broke up in 2012, got back together over time. However, the doubt never really goes away 100% so I end up squealing over them with the back of my mind shouting: “What if they’re just friends?”. In terms of proof, this is the strongest ship by far, but their denials and how they sometimes make fun of the ship (and their awkwardness about it sometimes) makes me sway in the other direction. But, this ship brings me around 95% happiness and only 5% confusion.

The One That Got Away Ships:

1. Hannah/Paul (S-Club 7): As the only ship that was canon in S-Club 7, everyone was happy reveling in their moments together. When they were together it was so blissful. When they broke up, it was awkward.

2. D-trix/Lauren (Youtube): They were the perfect couple for me. Despite the age difference, they made it work for a few years. They were really sweet together and brought out the best in each other. And D-trix was so in love with Lauren, he made me believe in soulmates. However, that ended. Still support Dtrix though

3. ShiSa (Youtube): I was a major Shane fan around the time they first got together so I was party to how the relationship developed. But as time went by I kinda outgrew Shane’s humor so I stopped watching them. By the time I went back, they had already broken up. However, they had one of the most peaceful break-ups ever and are still friends so I give them so much kudos for that fact. Now I’m rediscovering Lisa and love her so much.

4. LushLaws (Youtube): They were my first canon gay couple. I found them when they were already together. Ironically, they separated within 2 months of me finding them. Their end was a catastrophe and a tragedy. Now, they’re not even friends. But when they were together, I was so happy and giddy. Although there was so much PDA, I was happy for them. But now it’s just a sunken ship with no chance of ever resurfacing because of all the bad things that happened after the break-up.

The Blissful Ships

1. Jo/Jon (S-Club 7): There was never an indicator that they were anything other than bandmates. But I liked their chemistry and their voices together. There was absolutely no drama with this ship.

2. Zachary/Yvonne (Chuck): They weren’t even close outside of their characters so I knew this was a ship that would never sail. Zachary was more likely to date the actress who played his sister than Yvonne. But the 2 just had so much chemistry together, I couldn’t not ship them.

3. Sean/Ryan (Youtube): I know they will never be canon because they’re both straight, but how adorable is their friendship? Sean was there for Ryan from the beginning of time. I liked the fact that though they were doing their own thing for a couple of years, they ended up back in the same line of work. What I love about this ship is that it’s so drama-free.

4. JaNiel (Youtube): With the epic crash of LushLaws , I needed to find another couple on Youtube and I stumbled upon them by accident. Upon learning more about their relationship (especially about how Daniel was hidden for more than half a year) and how they acknowledged it only when they were already past the 1-year mark, they became my favorite canon couple. They are PDA-ish now, but it’s not overtop. And I love their banter together. You can see just how much affection and love they for each other.

5. ShumDario (ShadowHunters): I know they will never be and they are both straight, and this is probably just spill-over from all the MaLec feels, but I love their interactions together and their banter is gold. Also, who else can’t get the MaLec kiss out of their heads? That is still the best kiss out there. I love this ship though. No drama, no-stress. It’s all in good fun. Respect their respective partners though (I love Shelby and Matt’s gf because they’re so supportive of their S.O.).

P.S. I’m also HIMYM trash but I never shipped anyone from the cast with each other. xD
