Currently on the Archive:
At least three twitter accounts have been wiped due to artists understandably not feeling comfortable with the shitshow Elon is causing leading to a scramble to preserve as much as possible
One storyboard artist's website is offline, another's security certificate has expired (Less worried about that one) and one artist removed the entire section of Production art with 3Below
One website lost artwork during a revamp though thankfully was able to track it down again on a non-english fan account
One website keeps getting jiggled so frequently everything is saved off just to be safe at this point. Some works have never reappeared nor were caught
Discord/google caches aren't even lasting an hour after an account wipe which when you factor in instagram refreshes (And sometimes twitter) are so hit and miss meaning things vanishing aren't always caught as fast as they might have been
Youtube is still nuking ToA content usually because of false copyright claims meaning things that end are being lost
Regular website reshuffles leading to storyboard sequences/artwork vanishing that might not have been elsewhere. STILL sad about the loss of the Gumm-Gumms riding Stalklings while chasing Strickler and Barbara but after being uploaded for at least 4 years it seemed safe... Until it wasn't

Mabel And Aja Interactions:
Aja loves Mabel Juice and isn't afraid to chug an entire jug of it because she isn't affected by it.
Aja Scolds Luug after he laserfarted on Waddles while Mabel is cleaning off the smoke .

krel's face shape is pretty similar to rapunzel's, give or take some mass in the slope of the cheeks to the chin. I found this out while making an extremely self-indulgent gaylen!krel tangled toa au a while back. here's my sources. the sketches are two years old please ignore how bad they are

the idea was that Gaylen's Core was shallowly embedded in Krel's chest (still removable with a knife or smthn without too much damage), whoever you ship Krel with (or if you don't, Aja) rescues him from the tower. morando is gothel. fialkov and coranda get to be alive. varvatos is the captain of the guard, a tiny, Pascal-sized Luug is. well. Pascal. Buster is Maximus. Stuart is a pub thug.

But yeaaaaa this was fun and a great practice of drawing a bigggg group!
ToA has been such a comfort for me and I'm glad I could finish this to share my love for these characters.

Alright so here’s my idea of the timeline of events based on what we’re given in the trailer;
Bellroc and Skrael show up in the city after observing Nari, Archie, and Douxie for a while, and get Nari and Archie from Douxie. The airship gets destroyed in the battle, and Douxie only has the mini Heart of Avalon on him. But (and this part is purely speculation), Douxie can use some of the remaining power to send him over to Arcadia. They return to Arcadia for help since the Order is now all back together and have the Genesis Seals. Our magical wizard boy (tm) sends a magic message (a la Merlin) out to the Arcadia Gang to meet him at the remains of Camelot.
Meanwhile, Jim has reunited with Barbara and is somewhat better terms with Strickler (Jim resigns to sleeping on the couch since all the babies are living in his old room.) They’re talking and chilling when they get word from Douxie to meet up.
Barbara insists on joining as does Strickler, and Jim sends them ahead to Camelot.
Jim bikes out to grab Toby and Claire.
Double meanwhile, Douxie gets Krel to send a message to get Aja, Varvatos, and Eli to rejoin the group back on Earth. Krel pulls out the older wormhole generator and they’re back on Earth. (They also brought Luug along too.)
Triple meanwhile, Aaarrrggghhh and Blinky are back in the New Trollmarket. Douxie asks them for help, explaining the dire situation, and they (along with Nomura) take the gyre out to the remains of Trollmarket.
Here’s an opportunity to show the broken/dead Heartstone, which looks like it will be brought back to life with magic once the Titans are unleashed.
Krel and Douxie have set up the meeting in the room housing a table belonging to the Knights of the Round Table. The gang gathers round the table (our Knights of Arcadia hehe) and they lay out their plan.
Here is where Douxie + Krel bring up a projection of the Earth
Douxie points out where the city they were staying in was and (translated from Merlin’s grimoire) where the Titans were laying dormant.
They decide to go get Nari as soon as possible.

Personally I'd caution against Sym-Biotic Titan. Not because it doesn't fit with the mythos of the K-verse, but because it's largely the same plot as 3Below (minus Krel and Luug counterparts). I mean I guess you could have Morando and Modula be Thanos patsies operating from the same playbook.
Oh, really? That's actually really funny hahaha xD I'm sure I could figure something out if I end up loving it, but yeah, that would probably take it out of the running for now.

Abie Soroño, Master of Letters in Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art)
(A)I will never be human
“(A)I will never be human.” hosted through feministiai.org defines Artificial Intelligence or AI as a branch of technology and computing that aims to mimic human qualities such as creativity, cognition, recognition, speech processing, translation, and image recognition. The research interrogates the inner workings of AI, questioning the sources and biases of the knowledge upon which it is based. To democratise AI knowledge, the project collaborated with four artists whose practices intersect with cyberculture, artificial intelligence, glitch feminism, cloning, various avatar formats, and feminist theory. For the project, Abie commissioned two works from each artist namely Eekie Watson, Elle Crawley, Christina Lopez, and Rona Luug. Two collaborative works were facilitated that utilised the Exquisite Corpse technique in illustration, as suggested by Rona. This technique, traditionally used in drawing, was translated into digital formats. The process involved starting with two separate images, which were then passed to Rona for editing, then to Elle, Christina, and finally to Eekie for finalisation. Keywords for the prompts were chosen that revolved around surveillance capitalism, the body, avatars, clones, and collaboration. A variety of mediums utilising AI technologies were welcomed, including AI-generated art, datasets as art objects, AI software/tools, speculative AI experiments, and multimedia installations. Interdisciplinary, community-focused, and open-source projects were particularly encouraged, ensuring all works were documented and displayed through 2-D screens. (A)I will never be human is a series of static digital works displayed in 50 adshels (bus displays), computer screens, standalone electronic display panels, and a website that was launched simultaneously from 20 July - 27 July 2024. In designing this exhibition, a guerrilla marketing strategy was employed to maximise public engagement. Sites were strategically chosen near knowledge and research centers such as the Mitchell Library, University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow, Glasgow School of Art, and the Gallery of Modern Art Library. Sites in the south side were also chosen, specifically near Tramway and other large art organisations. Apart from that, the displays were concentrated around the city center and near offices, places that would usually have a high concentration of footfall during the times and days the works were displayed from 8 am to 6 pm daily such as Buchanan St. and Sauchiehall St. Key considerations for these public displays included selecting locations that would respond to and interact with their surroundings, ensuring a dynamic and contextually relevant presentation.
To enhance accessibility and reach, a website was simultaneously launched with the physical displays. This approach was crucial in the strategy to make the project information accessible and widespread, especially for those without mobile devices. Through this creative, low-cost strategy, the aim was to engage audiences through unconventional channels for public art, mimicking how large brands connect with audiences by providing targeted campaigns designed to capture attention and spur action. Mapping out AI and the diffused model
Interestingly, the project's diffused model of distribution relates to stable diffusion, an AI model that translates text to images. This parallel underscores the project's engagement with contemporary AI technologies. By employing digital displays across Glasgow, artists and designers were positioned as collaborators operating at the intersection of feminist theory, decolonial perspectives, and AI technologies.
To further contextualise this project, Glasgow was honoured as a pioneering city in two ways: as the UK's first aspiring Feminist city and as one of the UK's top 10 AI-ready cities. Finding overlaps in these serendipitous connections was a significant part of the process in developing the project. The initiative focuses on:
Developing AI models/datasets from underrepresented cultural perspectives
Examining bias and power structures embedded in current AI systems
Using AI as a means to reclaim narratives erased by colonialism and patriarchy
Facilitating collaborative initiatives centered on feminist AI development and education
A part of the takeover, a cookie tour was also organised on the final day of the campaign, the 27th of July. This cookie tour explores the idea of cookies and data and how this all relates to the surplus of daily information being collected. Our everyday behaviours continually generate a stream of behavioral surplus, which is mapped as data in larger datasets; this surplus, as Shoshana Zuboff articulates, fuels the engine of what she terms "surveillance capitalism." The project aims to highlight how the handheld devices we carry and the computers we use contain vast repositories of information and data, often collected surreptitiously by third parties through location tracking and stored cookies. These digital "crumbs" create traceable trails of our online behavior, which are then utilised by corporations to train and sell larger systems under the umbrella of artificial intelligence.
So, whose?
As AI continues to permeate all facets of contemporary society, the question was posed: whose perspectives and experiences are actually shaping these world-building technologies? Through this project, artistic practices reimagining AI's applications in contemporary art through an intersectional feminist lens were foregrounded, aiming to amplify voices historically marginalized and excluded from AI's development.
The digital works curated interrogate AI's false claims of objectivity and neutrality, revealing how these technologies often entrench Western colonial hierarchies, masculine paradigms, and oppressive biases around gender, race, class, and bodily norms. In doing so, the aim was to open up radical possibilities for recoding AI from pluralistic, decolonial feminist standpoints rooted in principles of justice and collective liberation for all people. Diverse contemporary practices were explored – data interventions and counter-narratives in language and visuality that work to deconstruct AI's colonial capitalist logics and encode pluralistic intelligences. Crucially, the displays were centered on revolutionary worldviews like cyberfeminism, xenofeminism, and glitch feminism.
In the research, it was important to acknowledge AI's origins in coding, pattern, and logic-based systems, which can be traced to women's work. The origins of AI and the formal logic it was based on, known formally as "Syllogism," a concept by Aristotle, were traced. As well as Ada Lovelace's views on early computing and how then, pattern-based work related to logic was associated with women's work. This deductive reasoning, where a series of statements with an assumed truth concludes, combined with processes mimicking human mental processes to perform specific tasks and solve individual problems, constitutes early AI systems. In recent years, developments have focused on creating neural networks that imitate the functioning of neurons in the brain, combining them with genetic algorithms. (A)I Will Never Be Human: Reimagining AI's Societal Impact
The title chosen for the project, "(A)I will never be human." is influenced by the readings amassed and how the mention of the phrase "...if it will be human" or "will it ever be human?" became a recurring pattern. It also reflects the current landscape of AI, where it becomes increasingly likened to how humans act, think, feel, respond, and look. This title and the project as a whole question the nature of AI and its relationship to human cognition and behavior. In curating this exhibition, artists who collectively posit AI's transformative promises as a catalyst for decolonised futures were brought together. Their work resists AI's perpetuation of top-down control and exploitation, instead aiming to democratise AI knowledge, reestablish its power distributions, and create safe cultural spaces for marginalised communities. By reclaiming autonomy over technological narratives, this exhibition was positioned to activate AI as a frontier for forging new cultural logics premised on the emancipation of all oppressed peoples. The aim was for the public to emerge with fresh perspectives on AI's current defaults and, more critically, a renewed sense of society's vital agency in collectively reimagining AI.

Small relief that other worlds didn't name all of their moons. The second one here was called Luug, but the first one remained nameless. The only thing that had a label to it was the former INTERPLAN outpost. Nero had been fitted for an EVA space suit before he exited his ship-to-surface shuttlecraft. Plenty of tools on an external belt, as well as a holster.
The place seemed empty, but it had been riddled with pests. Bestial mutates, called Malleable Augments. After a while, one such MalAug was apparent: Nero nudged Atieno and pointed to the phenomenon of something slithering in the dark, before camouflaging as a beach ball. He indicated for them to turn their head a moment, at which point the ball bounced up into the air and morphed into a paper plane to glide out of the room and through a corridor to some other dank, forgotten place.

There might have been worse creatures afoot. Trapped here, preying on one another, as well as any foolish enough to try and poke through the old outpost for anything worthwhile. Much like Nero did, as he gradually got to work unscrewing a panel to fiddle with some of the innermost power conduits...

Impatient, yet charismatic, Aja and her little brother, Krel, lived together with their parents on the planet of Akiridion-5 as the children of King Fialkov and Queen Coranda. Growing up, Aja felt like she didn't fit in with the royal family, so she frequently went into the kingdom in a dark cloak to discover her true potential. On the day that was to be her coronation as 'Queen-in-Waiting', she tried to skip the event, sneaking into the city as always. However as the invasion began, she returned to the castle and subsequently had to flee the planet with Krel, their protector Varvatos Vex and pet Luug.
They landed in Arcadia Oaks and had a...difficult first few days as they were thrown into an unknown and new culture...

17 September 2022 - Falling back into old fandoms and thought of a fun crossover idea with Star Darlings.
In case you haven't heard of what I think is a pretty obscure book series, Star Darlings was about a group of twelve girls (all named similarly to the twelve zodiac signs) living on Starland, a distant star. These girls are tasked with granting twelve important wishes on Wishworld/Earth in order to correct the balance of positive and negative wish energy which helps power Starland. Aimed at a young early-middle school type audience, books good, show mid-tier, lore inconsistent, entire series abandoned by Disney, but the dolls were cute.
I thought about making Aja another starling attended Starling Academy, the big boarding school the girls in the series attend.
Aja would want to be a Wish Granter to explore Earth and get away from the family business at home.
She wouldn't be chosen to be a Star Darling but she would be friends with a few of them.
Aja and Astra would bond over their shared love of sports/starball and have fun competitions together.
She'd find a way to sneak Luug in. One night, Luug escapes and she meets Cassie, who ALSO snuck her glowfur Bitty in. They set up playdates together (though half the time Aja has to keep Luug from eating Bitty).
Aja and Scarlet have two very different personalities, but they get to know each other through hoverboarding. They confide in each other their desire to go to Earth, and Scarlet confesses how much she just wants to live there. Aja promises to come with her one day.
Aja's wish pendant would be a hair tie/scrunchie (covered in stars, of course).
Krel would attend the nearby boys school. He doesn't have the goal of becoming a Wish Granter, but he does want to use science to improve Wish Energy efficiency. He built Aja's custom hoverboard back when they were younger and has been consistently upgrading it.
Honestly I just want to use this as an excuse to draw a sparkly Aja because Starlings glitter and I just think it'd be a lot of fun. If I had a double of a Star Darlings doll and knew how to do make one, I'd love to make a custom doll of Star Darlings!Aja.
