I think doyoung is almost shipped with evryone...jaedo johndo taedo dowoo doyu and even with mark where I dont see any kind of interaction at all(with mark). I know he is cute and get shy very easily and very motherly member of nct. But that might not be the only reason he is shipped with them...what is your thought on this?? Could you explain?

Doyoung is shipped with Taeil as well (in Russian fandom, on a leftovers basis). 2Dong also exist as a romantic ship on the fringes. MarkDo is very popular in Korea and Japan, I think. DoCas didn't gain momentum because everyone was infatuated with LuWoo. DoCas enthusiasts didn't stand a chance.

DoMark was big when Mark was a teen. Doyoung proclaimed he wanted to name his kids with Mark's Korean name. He told stories about glueing a big poster with Mark on the ceiling of his lower bank bed.

Everyone is shipped with everyone. Sometimes a crack ship even gains popularity thanks to one author who starts a trend. For example, although JohnTae ship is very popular currently, when I just entered the fandom, JohnIl and JohnTen were more popular. JohnJae has a solid following. I've seen JohnMark and JohnKun.

Doyoung is liked by all members, I'm not the only one who jokes about 127 being his harem. He is a tactile person, he is a caring person, and the members are full of praise for him, so you can find shippy moments for all combos. Also, solo fans often gravitate towards those members who takes care of their bias.

DoYu. The famous kiss and the Titanic pose. Yuta making sure that Doyoung's sleeve won't get into wine or Doyoung correcting Yuta's hair and saying he'll learn Japanese for Yuta to have someone to speak with.

JohnDo. Coffee dates and them being each other's cameramen. Flirtation on IG. Johnny fighting Jaehyun and Taeyong for the title of Doyoung's main fanboy.

DoWoo. Couple sweaters. Do's attention to Woo's butt.

DoMark. Airplane flight buddies. Doyoung fawning over Mark and calling him his favourite. Mark being an avid fan of Do's singing.

Another reason, I think, is that Doyoung is feminine in fans eyes, so he is chosen for the "y/n avatar". In a lot of fanfics and on a lot of fanart Doyoung is female-coded, he is there in The girlfriend role instead of a solo stan.

Lol. I'm looking for DoMark fanart on Pinterest, but the algorythm gives me JaeDo and TaeDo. The BIg Brother... I remember this scene vividly...

Simple popularity. The more there are fans, the more there is attention and variation in taste for certain archetypes/couple dynamics.

I'M THE TREND CHALLENGE

1)-Ying Yang: Faça duas capas que tenham o mesmo título e as mesmas personagens, mas que tenham conceitos diferentes, e de preferência, o mais opostos que conseguir. (Exemplos: dark e divertida; romântica e clean; etc). Mas não se prenda a estilos! Se você achar que fez duas capas que não têm relação alguma uma com a outra, já está fazendo certo.

Notas: Eu fiz duas capas de Luwoo, shippe do Nct. A primeira é uma capa Clean e a segunda uma capa Divertida. Eu não sabia mexer ainda muita coisa no photoshop, então eu apenas dei o meu melhor, pedindo ajuda pra capista @chettaphon, por isso, muito obrigado pela enorme ajuda. Eu tive muitas dificuldades em fazê-las, pois não sabia onde colocar cada elemento, por isso, procurei por capas onde eu poderia usar como idéia para alguns elementos e em seus locais. "Um Universo Das Estrelas" é uma história que conta a história de dois garotos totalmente diferentes. Yukhei é um grande milionário que vive se gabando de todo o seu dinheiro para todos, enquanto, Jungwoo, é apenas um garoto nobre que está trabalhando duro para conseguir comer algo e pagar o aluguel de seu apartamento, onde no meio de suas propostas de emprego, virou empregado na casa de Yukhei, que o humilhava a todo momento. Mas um dia, o pensamento do Wong mudou completamente. Enquanto eu criava as capas eu criei esta mini idéia, mas como irei doar todas as minhas capas feitas, fica ao critério de quem gostar das capas.

What is meant when some ships fanfic get more popularity or ships get more fanfic?? I mean is it becoz they like the real charecter of the ship or they really shipping them?

Depends. Several factors can play a role.

With fanfics it's often more about the portrayal of characters, the tropes, the kinks, well-known and productive writers writing and populirising a ship. Enemies in canon like Harry and Draco can become a very popular ship with a following. One of my friends liked the ship despite never reading/watching HP itself.

Certainly the audience' interest plays a role. Writers want to be read. Many write for many ships and do prompts. LuWoo used to be a mega ship. Few would dare to write it now, only Lucas' fans. On the other hand, look at the rise of interest in JaeWoo. They are in a small unit, they interact - new ship to play with.
