100 days of mental healthcare: day 44/100
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I didn’t have much free time today and my morning kind of sucked because my appointment with my endocrinologist was canceled and no one told me. When I got home I folded some clean laundry, did dishes and had a quesadilla and banana cake for breakfast. My best friend borrowed me a book about the digestive system and I read a few pages while I ate.
After lunch I met her at our favorite coffee shop and we talked a lot about mental health, motherhood and nutrition. We also took a walk in the nature and I showed her my favorite trail. She loved this flower wall! We had a great time together.

Excerpts Of Former Girls’ Generation Jessica Jung’s Novel “Shine” Resurface Amid EXO-CBX’s “Slave” Contract Claims
“The past is repeating itself…”
Tumblr media
On June 1 (KST), EXO‘s Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen stunned fans and netizens with the announcement they would be suing SM Entertainment to terminate their contracts.
Tumblr media
According to a Yonhap News report, the members asked for a full accounting of their activities and the revenue produced since March, but SM Entertainment has yet to provide them. The members released a complete statement detailing all of their grievances with the company, in addition to an apology to fans.
We apologize to the fans for causing concern, we are deeply sorry.
Although we are currently in a legal dispute with SM, we will choose a gracious path to settle our differences so as not to create concerns for fans.
We are currently, at this moment, very scared and in fear, but we have decided to raise our small voices about the mistreatment we have received.
We hope that you will be interested in our story and our struggling courage. We would like to sincerely thank our fans who have supported us for so long. Thank you so much.
— Lee Jae Hak
One of the grievances listed in the statement is the extremely long contracts the EXO members signed. According to the announcement, the artists originally signed contracts lasting twelve to thirteen years, much longer than the standard seven dictated by the Fair Trade Commission.
Tumblr media
In addition, SM allegedly has artists preemptively sign contract extensions, bringing the total number of years under contract to at least seventeen to eighteen years. Lee Seung Gi recently exposed his company for keeping him under a “slave contract” like the above.
According to fans online, this revelation about EXO-CBX’s contracts was already hinted at by a past SM Entertainment artist — Jessica Jung.
Tumblr media
Jessica Jung was a member of GIrls’ Generation from her debut until her removal from the group in 2014, leaving the company just a year later. It was initially said to pursue her fashion career with her brand BLANC & ECLARE.
Tumblr media
In addition to her fashion, Jessica pursued several other avenues, including the much-anticipated release of her first novel, Shine. About a young Korean-American joining the K-Pop industry, Jessica has confirmed that the depictions found in the book are “based on experience.”
Tumblr media
Now years later, an excerpt from Shine has begun recirculating online after the recent revelations from the EXO members.
On a page from the novel, the main character asks another about their contract length, and the other bitterly explains how DB Entertainment, the fictional label in the book, controlled her career.
Tumblr media
Somewhere in a bank in Switzerland, in some secure vault, are the three-year extension contacts DB forced the rest of Electric Flower and me to sign the same day we signed our original contracts. Postdated, of course, so everything will hold up in court.
— Excerpt from Shine by Jessica Jung
The character also mentions how the company attempted to make everything her fault, similar to SM Entertainment’s statement that accused another company of trying to poach the trio and denied the trio’s listed complaints.
As Jessica’s novel is so closely related to her own story, some fans have shared this to support EXO-CBX’s claims, stating the former girl group member tried to shine a light on this issue.

i mean i think we know why he hates sm 😭 sm is notorious for mistreatment/mismanagement especially towards chinese idols. and wayv gets basically nothing compared to 127/dream in terms of comebacks/tours/activities. also if cbx arent getting paid then wayv CERTAINLY arent getting paid. still i cant wait to buy his tell all book when it comes out in a decade i knowww he has something to say with the way he's been so openly anti-sm lately

Gateway to Adventure: Navigating Transportation Options to Tijuana Airport
Embarking on a journey often begins with the simple yet significant task of getting to the airport. For travelers heading to Tijuana Airport, a vital hub for both domestic and international flights, understanding the various transportation options can enhance the travel experience. Tijuana, a vibrant city bordering the United States, offers multiple means of transport to the airport, each with its own advantages. This guide delves into these options, helping you choose the most suitable one for your needs.
Tumblr media
Driving to Tijuana Airport
Driving is a convenient option for many travelers, offering flexibility and control over your schedule. If you have access to a car, driving to Tijuana Airport can be straightforward. Major highways connect Tijuana to various parts of Mexico and the United States, making the airport accessible from multiple directions. It's important to familiarize yourself with the route beforehand, considering factors like traffic conditions and border crossing times if you're coming from the United States.
Parking facilities at Tijuana Airport are ample, with options ranging from short-term to long-term parking. However, it's wise to check the parking fees and availability in advance. Additionally, if you're renting a car, ensure that the rental agreement allows for cross-border travel, and be aware of insurance requirements in both countries.
Public Transportation
Public transportation is an economical and eco-friendly choice. Tijuana has an extensive network of buses that connect various parts of the city to the airport. The city's main bus terminal offers services that can take you directly to the airport or nearby areas, from where you can easily catch a taxi or shuttle.
For those traveling from the United States, the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) provides services that get you close to the border. From there, a short walk or taxi ride will take you to the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) pedestrian bridge, a convenient passage directly into Tijuana Airport. CBX is a unique feature that allows ticketed passengers to cross the border seamlessly, significantly reducing travel time.
Taxis and Ride-Sharing Services
Taxis are a popular choice due to their convenience and speed. In Tijuana, taxis are readily available and can be hailed on the street or booked in advance. It's advisable to agree on a fare before starting your journey or ensure the meter is running to avoid any misunderstandings.
Ride-sharing services are also widely used in Tijuana and offer a modern alternative to traditional taxis. These services can be booked via smartphone apps, providing an added layer of convenience and often competitive pricing. Ride-sharing is particularly useful if you're traveling with a group or have a lot of luggage, as you can choose a vehicle that fits your needs.
Shuttle Services
Shuttle services provide a balance between the cost-effectiveness of public transport and the convenience of taxis. Various companies offer shuttle services to and from Tijuana Airport, catering to different budgets and requirements. These shuttles can be booked in advance and often provide door-to-door service, making them an excellent choice for travelers who prefer not to drive or navigate public transportation.
For cross-border travelers, there are dedicated shuttle services that operate from various locations in Southern California directly to the CBX facility. These shuttles are particularly useful for those who prefer not to deal with the hassle of parking or navigating border crossings on their own.
Cross Border Xpress (CBX)
The Cross Border Xpress is a game-changer for travelers heading to Tijuana Airport from the United States. This pedestrian bridge connects San Diego directly to Tijuana Airport, offering a streamlined crossing experience. To use CBX, you need a boarding pass for a flight departing from Tijuana Airport and a CBX ticket. The bridge is accessible from a terminal building in San Diego, where you can park your car, check in for your flight, and cross the border within minutes.
CBX is particularly advantageous because it bypasses the often congested vehicle border crossings, saving time and reducing stress. The facility is equipped with amenities such as luggage carts, duty-free shops, and comfortable waiting areas, enhancing the overall travel experience.
Conclusion
Navigating transportation to Tijuana Airport is an integral part of planning your trip. Whether you prefer the autonomy of driving, the cost-effectiveness of public transportation, the convenience of taxis and ride-sharing, the reliability of shuttle services, or the efficiency of the Cross Border Xpress, Tijuana offers a variety of choices to suit every traveler’s needs. By understanding these options and planning accordingly, you can ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey to this gateway of adventure.

Getting to know you meme
I was tagged by one of my favorite mutuals @pose4photoml 🥰 Thank you so much!
Favourite time of the year: I love winter. Especially around Christmas. Usually I decorate my apartment with all kind of lights and Christmas stuff, but this year I couldn’t get into the right mood. But I like the cold weather and wearing hoodies and all the candles you can light up now, because it gets dark so early and hot chocolate with Rum or Amaretto 🥰
Comfort foods: I don’t have a special type of comfort food anymore. I guess after a shitty day I love to have take away food like sushi or pizza. It is not so much food, that is comforting me, more something to drink. A hot caramel macchiato can warm me and my bad mood up really good 😊
Do you collect anything: I collected postcards and I have quite a lot of them. Right now, I stopped with this. Then I collected books, what I still kind of do, but not so excessive like before. Do the shows I watch count? I do collect scenes from those 😅
Favourite drinks: Coffee with milk and sugar, Caramel Macchiato and all kinds of herbal teas
Favorite music artists: There are so many! Ultimo is one of my all-time favorites for a long time now and I guess this will never change. His voice is just like a warm blanket on a cold winter’s night. But this year I found some new gems in the sea of music, like Yuuri and The Rose. Beautiful voices and melodies. Can listen to them all day long 😊
Current favourite songs:  Paper Cuts by EXO-CBX, A song written easily by ONEUS, Leo by Yuuri, She’s in the rain by The Rose and since yesterday this one song from My school president by Gemini and Fourth 😅
Favourite fics: I don’t read fics at the moment.
Favourite video games: Of those which I still play from time to time: Horizon and Genshin Impact. And in general, besides those two, Diablo, The Sims, The Witcher 3 and Hero’s of might and magic
I tag @i-got-the-feels @vera9 @piningintrovert @gabrielokun (as always, only if you want to and not already have done it)

Crossing the Border: San Diego Airport to Tijuana Airport Transportation Guide
San Diego, a vibrant city on the southern coast of California, shares a border with Tijuana, Mexico. This unique geographical proximity has made it increasingly common for travelers to cross the border between the two cities, whether for business or leisure. Both San Diego International Airport (SAN) and Tijuana International Airport (TIJ) serve as entry points for these travelers. Navigating the transportation options between these two airports can be a seamless or somewhat complicated endeavor, depending on your familiarity with the region and the options available. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore various transportation methods and provide insights to help you plan your journey from San Diego Airport to Tijuana Airport efficiently.
Tumblr media
Public Transportation:
Trolley Service: San Diego's Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) operates the San Diego Trolley, a light rail system that connects San Diego to the border with Tijuana. You can catch the Blue Line trolley from the San Diego Airport Terminal 1 Station, which is a short walk from the airport. This trolley takes you to the San Ysidro Transit Center, which is close to the U.S.-Mexico border. From there, you can walk across the border into Tijuana. The trolley system is a cost-effective option and is especially convenient if you're traveling light.
Bus Services: Several bus companies operate routes from San Diego to Tijuana. The most notable one is the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) bus. This service is located near San Diego Airport and offers a direct connection to the Tijuana Airport. It's a convenient option if you want a hassle-free transfer between the two airports. Additionally, the CBX bus service includes a pedestrian border crossing, which can save you time and simplify the border-crossing process.
Private Shuttles:
Numerous private shuttle services are available for travelers looking for a more comfortable and direct option to get from San Diego Airport to Tijuana Airport. These shuttles can be pre-booked and provide door-to-door service. They are particularly convenient for individuals or groups with a significant amount of luggage or those who value privacy and a hassle-free experience. While shuttle services come at a cost, the convenience and comfort they offer can be well worth it.
Rental Cars:
Renting a car is a viable option if you prefer the flexibility to explore the region at your own pace. Rental car agencies have offices at both San Diego and Tijuana airports, making it easy to pick up and drop off your vehicle. Keep in mind that you will need to be familiar with border-crossing procedures and any insurance requirements when taking a rental car across the border. Additionally, be aware of potential wait times at the border, which can vary.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, traveling from San Diego Airport to Tijuana Airport can be a relatively straightforward process if you choose the right transportation option based on your preferences and needs. Public transportation, such as the trolley and bus services, offers cost-effective and direct routes but may require some walking and border-crossing procedures. Private shuttles provide a convenient and comfortable door-to-door experience, while rental cars offer flexibility and independence but come with potential border-crossing complexities. The choice ultimately depends on your specific circumstances, including your budget, schedule, and the level of comfort and convenience you desire for your journey between these two vibrant cities.
