People that read Captive Prince and Dark rise and went crazy, what other books have tormented you in a similar fashion?

For me it was The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski.

Main MC was super smart and blond, other MC was their slave. Lots of tension, court intrigue, betrayal ensues. Always showing not telling and the dialogue is 🔥

Writing a no-dialogue fic is interesting to me, cause I normally want to both tell and show. But after doing almost exclusively that for a couple months now, I wanna explode.

I'm finishing the next chapter of The Journey Back and then I'm going hiding into my other wip that's dialogue heavy. And I'm not leaving 'till I "recover".

Why does it suddenly feel like a chore to describe things when I was really vibing with it for so many chapters? Ooof.

So, I've been having a break from King-Ohger, as the 2 year time-skip seems to be a good point for that. The thing is, that I'm not sure if I can emotionally withstand the stress of watching a new episode every week and then through a whole week going crazy over what will happen

It's good, it means that show is engaging and all, but there's been 2 years skip and Racules is still dead and they also cut all the scenes that mentioned him in summer movie and I really hope it's not because they gave up on reviving him, because I won't survive it...

Anyway, I guess I'll take few more weeks to accumulate couple of episodes to binge, so I won't have to stress through the whole week about follow up, or if there is a slightest hint of Racules returning then I'm jumping right back in
