Towards Real-Time Eye Blink Detection in the Wild
Real-time developments in eye blink detection are significant in detecting deceiving behaviors, and driver drowsiness and protect against face spoofing. Despite the recognition of this problem and attempts to solve it, most of the proposed methods work only under strictly defined conditions within a controlled environment, e.g., inside a building. Nonetheless, for application, it is far more complex and beneficial to look for eye blinks in several different situations in the real environment.
Smart Mirror Based On Raspberry Pi
The Internet impacted our lives positively by enhancing the way we searched for information and interrelating with people via the web. Mobile phones were later replaced by smartphones and this created the Internet of Things where even the objects are connected to the internet. It is possible to make many objects ‘smart,’ and some are more suitable for this than others. For instance, mirrors are relevant in that they are large enough to contain information and to be manipulated.
Smart Guiding Glasses For Visually Impaired People
The system guides blind users by indicating clear paths. A prototype with a camera and an ultrasonic sensor was created and tested by several users. The results showed that these smart glasses significantly improve the user's ability to move safely in complex indoor environments. Therefore, this device can help visually impaired people travel safely.
Conclusion:
Takeoff Projects excels in providing comprehensive support for Machine Learning Project Ideas by partnering with industry experts and skilled machine learning professionals. This ensures smooth project delivery, from problem understanding to implementation.
Innovations like real-time eye blink detection are crucial for detecting deceiving behaviors, driver drowsiness, and face spoofing, especially in diverse real-world conditions. The smart mirror based on Raspberry Pi demonstrates how the Internet of Things can transform everyday objects into interactive devices.

"Bots on the internet are nothing new, but a sea change has occurred over the past year. For the past 25 years, anyone running a web server knew that the bulk of traffic was one sort of bot or another. There was googlebot, which was quite polite, and everyone learned to feed it - otherwise no one would ever find the delicious treats we were trying to give away. There were lots of search engine crawlers working to develop this or that service. You'd get 'script kiddies' trying thousands of prepackaged exploits. A server secured and patched by a reasonably competent technologist would have no difficulty ignoring these.
"...The surge of AI bots has hit Open Access sites particularly hard, as their mission conflicts with the need to block bots. Consider that Internet Archive can no longer save snapshots of one of the best open-access publishers, MIT Press, because of cloudflare blocking. Who know how many books will be lost this way?  Or consider that the bots took down OAPEN, the worlds most important repository of Scholarly OA books, for a day or two. That's 34,000 books that AI 'checked out' for two days. Or recent outages at Project Gutenberg, which serves 2 million dynamic pages and a half million downloads per day. That's hundreds of thousands of downloads blocked! The link checker at doab-check.ebookfoundation.org (a project I worked on for OAPEN) is now showing 1,534 books that are unreachable due to 'too many requests.' That's 1,534 books that AI has stolen from us! And it's getting worse.
"...The thing that gets me REALLY mad is how unnecessary this carnage is. Project Gutenberg makes all its content available with one click on a file in its feeds directory. OAPEN makes all its books available via an API. There's no need to make a million requests to get this stuff!! Who (or what) is programming these idiot scraping bots? Have they never heard of a sitemap??? Are they summer interns using ChatGPT to write all their code? Who gave them infinite memory, CPUs and bandwidth to run these monstrosities? (Don't answer.)
"We are headed for a world in which all good information is locked up behind secure registration barriers and paywalls, and it won't be to make money, it will be for survival. Captchas will only be solvable by advanced AIs and only the wealthy will be able to use internet libraries."

Jayvik Battlecast AU Part 1
Disclaimer: I don't know shit about Battlecast, but Resistance Jayce's blurb enthralled me. "While many presumed him dead, Jayce's sudden return to the Resistance has been heralded by some as a miracle and others as a curse. Burdened by guilt, he still blames himself for his failure to halt Viktor's rise. Only time will tell if Jayce can turn the tide." Heralded?? Curse???? Turn the tide in which direction???
Jayce wakes up to a gray ceiling and solid steel walls. Harsh white light burns on the periphery of his narrow vision and the faint churning of faraway machinery reminds him of where he must be.
He hopes that at least the rest of his comrades fled safely, though he doubts it. He was among the last standing that he could see, those ruthless, four-legged crablike automatons bulldozing the rest of the little outpost he was sent to supervise. It was a gargantuan fleet sent to take care of one measly outpost, almost as if Viktor had sent all his resources to that one place. Just because Jayce was there. No emotions, my ass.
The immense guilt weighs on him for having volunteered to lend a hand at the resistance’s struggling fringes. He, who was supposed to be their Defender, inadvertently signed their death warrant. Viktor saw his chance and he took it. Does anyone else know he was captured and not killed? Not likely, given that few to none would have survived to begin with. No one should come for him. Whatever awaits Jayce now will only be what he deserves. Viktor isn’t going to kill him, he knows. His fate will be much, much worse.
As his mind clears, his vision does not. His left eye has been gouged, he realizes. There’s stinging pain all over his body: broken bones, metal burns, gashes and cuts. All hastily bandaged. He must have been taken here right from the battlefield, with little time for medical aid. Any other prisoner of war wouldn’t expect their health to matter. Jayce knows what’s coming.
He scans the room. There are other beds, topped with thin mattresses, stained with old blood. All empty. The floor is segmented, like a conveyor belt, and Jayce’s stomach sickens at the reminder of the fate that awaits all who are captured. Their brains and souls harvested, then imprisoned in whatever horrifying contraption Viktor sees fit.
His eyes dart to the guard at the door. Canine ears and a jackal-like head on a bipedal body. By far the most humanoid creation to come out of his ex-partner’s nightmare factory. This newest robot made its debut in the most recent battle. It ignored all other targets on the field and made its way directly to Jayce. A hunter with a very specific prey. The very same one guards his door now, recognizable by the lingering damage left by Jayce’s hammer.
Sending an already-damaged automaton to watch his door isn’t a logical choice; it’s a taunt. No doubt there are more just outside, ready to gun him down if he manages to bare-handed wrestle his way past the jackal. It’s not even worth it, the thought of escaping. It’s likely he’s already deep inside the Herald’s central compound, dozens of layers of guards and security between him and the outside world. No feigning of surrender or biding of time will save now, this far into enemy territory.
His own placidity disturbs him a little. Even the most hopeless of prisoners throw their remaining might into one last-ditch effort. Jayce doesn’t even consider it. He tries not to think about the reason behind that, how his muscles are less tense despite the pain, how his shoulders feel like a burden has been lifted, how the reason he doesn’t try is because he doesn’t want to-
How being here feels like coming home.
He catches the jackal in the periphery of his limited vision again and his heart flutters. Did Viktor build something for the sole purpose of catching him?

In the digital age that we live in, fake news is a significant challenge, as it has the potential to hurt real-world communities by spreading misinformation, ruining reputations, and causing social unrest. With easy access to social media platforms and other online sources of information, it is almost impossible to distinguish between real and fake news.ML techniques have displayed promising results in identifying fake news by analysing vast amounts of data which identifies patterns and provides outcomes that are based on those patterns.

Tonight I am hunting down venomous and nonvenomous snake pictures that are under the creative commons of specific breeds in order to create one of the most advanced, in depth datasets of different venomous and nonvenomous snakes as well as a test set that will include snakes from both sides of all species. I love snakes a lot and really, all reptiles. It is definitely tedious work, as I have to make sure each picture is cleared before I can use it (ethically), but I am making a lot of progress! I have species such as the King Cobra, Inland Taipan, and Eyelash Pit Viper among just a few! Wikimedia Commons has been a huge help!
I'm super excited.
Hope your nights are going good. I am still not feeling good but jamming + virtual snake hunting is keeping me busy!
