My Fourth Visit to Bali

“Bali is like an escape for everyone who needs a place to rest, an island that provides happiness and good vibes for the good soul.”

It was my fourth visit to Bali. I’ve been to this beautiful island three times before, the last visit was one year ago with my sister which i still remember clearly. But this year i decided to make a visit again, for the fourth time. After crazy things and every single things that happened in the past few months, i thought my self needs its recovery, something to heal and Bali was the best choice. 

Eventhough i’ve been there three times before, but still, i was mesmerized to its vibes when we finally landed in Ngurah Rai International Airport. And i realized how much i’ve missed this island. Bali is like an escape for everyone who needs a place to rest, an island that provides happiness and good vibes only. Yes, it surely is. 

I went to Bali with my college friends, my bestfriends. I won’t tell you the whole story, the whole trip, because it will take forever eventhough the trip was only four days, but we discovered a lot of great things. So, i will only tell some points, not all the places i visited but only a few which was amazing, the highlights of my short but memorable trip.

1. Green Bowl Beach

Yes, it’s not Bali without beach! Green Bowl Beach is a hidden beach located near Pandawa Beach. Most people only visit Pandawa Beach in this area, without knowing a hidden and beautiful beach is near. I’m so glad i got a chance to visit this place. There were only few people in the beach, so it felt like our private beach. You need to walk down approximately 500 meters away from the parking lot till you can finally reach the beach but totally worth it! The beach was very clean and pure and sooo blue when we were there. I’d definitely love to comeback. 

2. Beach Club - Alila Seminyak

And also you can’t miss the sunset when you are in Bali. I did some research through the internet before the trip, to look for a great place for sunset session. Every sites suggested to go to the famous Potato Head Beach Club, El Kabron, or Single Fin. Of course, those three places are the best place to hang out while enjoying sunset. But based on the infromations i got from a friend of mine, those three places are so crowded and no doubt, cost a lot of money. So, i tried to look for another place. And lucky me, i found this one. 

Alila is actually a hotel that provides the beach club which i love so much. This place located in Seminyak, and surprisingly next to the famousPotato Head Beach Club. So you can get the same view.

I was very very mesmerized. The first thought that crossed my mind when we arrived was, “I will visit this place again and again for the rest of my lives.” This place provides a swimming pool by the beach which is very cool. They also provide good food and drinks with a really really great service. But the coolest thing is the pillow seats which you can just lay there, watching the sea and the sunset, and the live acoustic perfomance. So this place is good for everyone who wants to enjoy sunset session but hate the crowds. I wish i could stay there a little longer. 

3. The Lawn, Canggu

This is a great place to have dinner with your loved ones. It’s located by the Canggu Beach, but because we went there at night so i couldn’t see the sea clearly, it was so dark. But I just love the summer night vibes when i was here. The palm trees, the green grass, the cute lamps, and of course the good music. There’s literally nothing to hate about this place.

4. Madpops!

I guess everybody knows this place, the famous place that sells gelato and popsicle. Madpops is located in Seminyak. This place is a really small place, you’ll be surprised when you get there. But the gelato tasted so good and only 30k for one scoop which was very affordable. 

5. Our villa, Ronin!

And of course our villa! It’s called Ronin. It was located in Uluwatu, pretty far from the busy road. This was the best villa i’ve ever visited. I’m just so happy that my friends and i decided to choose this villa for us to stay. And we were right! This place was the coolest. There were two big bedrooms, fully-equipped kitchen, a living room, a dining room, and of course a really cool private pool! They gave us floaties too which was great because we didn’t have to rent it again. The lessor said that we were the first Indonesian who came to this villa. I was surprised and felt so lucky too.

Eventhough it was only a short trip, it was a great experience afterall, i’m so happy it happened. I’ve been through a lot of rough times and Bali made me realize that i still have a place to rest. And i hope everyone realizes that we will always have a place to rest, even in our darkest days.
