My spread for the Magic Within Me divination challenge!  I decided to use my new friends for the work!

This spread, I call the Witching Hour.

One through twelve are read just like a clock, and the thirteenth is in the center.  The divination challenge has the following listed:

Unmask- the mask I’ve been hiding under

Haunted House- the ghosts living in my soul

Ghosts Among Us- how to release my ghosts (why would I want to??)

Vampire Bites- what’s been draining my spirituality?

Scream into the Night- the anger I’ve been holding in my heart

Everybody Scream- how to let go of my anger

Werewolf- the transformation my soul is going through

New Moon- the journey ahead of me

The Graveyard- an unknown influence coming

Monsters in the Dark- what has eaten my emotions alive

Jack-o-Lantern- how to protect myself from negativity

Poison Apple- thoughts that have poisoned my mind

Fairy Godmother- lovely thoughts to embrace

So, this is a pretty dark divination challenge to begin with, which of course means it’s perfect for me.  :D

It also means that I’m probably not going to go about this the way people often do, i.e. “omg get rid of all these evil things and make me pure and bright white again!”

bleh.

Unmask is the Umbrella, which basically means, I’ve been hiding under a shelter.  Yup.  Good so far.

The ghosts in my soul are a helping Hand, which was exactly what I thought too!  Doing good so far!

How to release my ghosts is the Ear, which means... ask and they’ll listen, I guess.  That’s what I figured.

What has drained my spirituality, the Moth... hmmm... I think I know what that is, actually.  The Moth is literally referring to the mysteries of the butterfly and moth, which I work with.  This is referencing a specific thing in my life about those mysteries.

The anger I hold in my heart is the Ankh- and that’s HILARIOUS.  I hate everything to do with Egyptian magic and mythology.  But, I’ve also struggled with health and vitality, which is what the Ankh represents, life.

How to let go of my anger is the Iceberg, which is... entertaining, as it says this is just the surface situation, and also likens to the element of Ice, which has a lot of tie-in with my anger in my personal tradition.  So, LOL, kudos to the spirits for the in-joke!

The transformation my soul is going through is the Heart, and I’m not going to comment on that.  Suffice to say I know what it is.

The journey ahead of me is the Poppet, and that directly references a dream I had recently!  OMG that is hilarious!

An unknown influence is the Key... that’s intriguing.  Keys are Hekate’s mystery in my trad of practice.  I wonder what it is...

The Foot represents what has eaten my emotions alive... I literally am constantly unhappy with my inability to run and dance the way I used to.  Wow, the library is apparently open for this deck, cuz I am being read.

The Ribbon will protect me from negativity... the layers of meaning behind that... from the cord magic I’ve learned to the actual Ribbon accessory from Final Fantasy... XD

The Mirror is the thought which poisons my mind.  Yup.  Vanity is seriously dangerous for me.

And the lovely thoughts to embrace, which come from the other deck, are *ahem* sex, but also celebration, purification, and tradition.  Literally, jumping the balefire.  Hmm...

Well then.  That was certainly a wild ride!  Looking forward to the next set!

I'm a healer, I'm smart and educated, to embrace my power I need to break free from my previous entanglements by first not being afraid of challenging myself from my creativity. To balance or convert my fear of failure to become my drive towards success. I have a very creative and spiritual power that is ready to be embraced all I have to do is just start.

Four of Water This card is stalking me. I feel this means my lack of self confidence, and my lack of self love, is eating away at my emotions. I need to build my self confidence.

My best quality:

Six of Water I try my best to be kind and compassionate. I try to see the good in everyone.

My worst flaw:

Love I can love too much to the point that it’s hard for me to let people go. Sometimes this manifests as a fear that someone is going to leave me and then I let that fear control me.

Three of Air The smart one. The learned one. The one with all the knowledge. This is a mask that I’ve worn for a good part of my life. My intelligence has always been an integral part of my identity. Without it who am I? I need to let go of that person I put on for people of being the smart one. It doesn’t dictate my worth.

There's a lot of things that make me happy for instance being accepted in my society, wealth, sketching, drawing, sex, love, passion, music, feeling complete, spiritual learning and spending time with family. But what really fuels my happiness is being able to give happiness to others whether part of my family or not, and giving that special someone all of my attention makes me happy. I'm already a happy person so it's clear to me that I have the most energy given out when I'm around structured people.
