Sweet Treat My first fic on AO3 had to feature Magnolia, the songstress is just so much fun.

A lil’ snippet below

Nora hadn’t had a cold beer since before the war. Shit. She was almost scared to take a sip, but the longing for the familiar taste won out in the end.

Her first eager swig shocked a hiccup out of her from the strength of the icy cold hoppiness. A wave of sadness and nostalgia washed over her as she held the bottle up to look at the label - things were so different now.

Before she could sink further into the dark comfort of her old life, Nora’s ears perked up at the sound of a sultry voice over the microphone.

Nora stops at the Third Rail for a drink and some relaxation and gets more than she bargained for when Magnolia takes to the stage.

Hey do you think Magnolia was supposed to be some kind of cured pre-war ghoul or something?

The hints are kinda there if you overanalyze her songs, which is what she tells you to do when you ask for "her story".

I unlocked the romance at the most awkward time. He idolized me for liking Magnolia’s jazz and as the screen was darkening for our “date” he prompted the romance.

Heart broke so fast he was standing outside the hotel room waiting for Sole to finish lolz

But also… crazy tense fic idea??? Not exactly love triangle because yuck but like I’ve never seen a magnolia fic AND a hancock one combined

And now I have officially decided that though David is cis, he enjoys dressing in drag and feminine things from time to time. I mean, he IS sort of goth, and I've seen plenty of goth dudes with skirts and dresses.

I used this FSO image of Magnolia as heavy inspiration. I just loved the dress and the lighting too much
