Question: Do you have a favorite inspirational quote that means a lot to you or helps you get through difficult times?

Misha: I used to have one that was, that I read in a book What [I] Talk About When [I] Talk About Running by Murakami, which was 'pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional' and I thought well that's -

Jensen: Jared says that one all the time.

Misha: I think I was like, well that's a nice -

Jensen: Jared says that one all the time. That's Jared's. You can't take that one.

Misha: Well, Jared stole it from me -

Jensen: You're gonna -

Misha: I have since jettisoned that quote because I actually don't think it's true, because a lot of times suffering is not optional. Sometimes life is full of suffering and I think it's like a, it sounds good, but it's not really true a lot of the times life does have suffering in it and that's just a fact of life. So I've given up on that one.

Jensen: [laughs] Way to talk yourself out of a really good quote.

Misha: Right, so now there is nothing uplifting I have left. It's just life is suffering. And that's where I've left it.

Jensen: I've got one for ya. So these things can come, can strike you from many different ways - I mean you can read something in a poem or a book or hear something in a movie. I heard something in a Lincoln commercial. And I've said this one before, so some of you have heard this, but it was Matthew McConaughey was doing Lincoln commercials. And another - um - it doesn't matter. So, the quote is, and I actually - it hit me, and it was just, you know, I was watching tv and it came on and it was a commercial, and I was like wait, what [mimes using a remote] and spun it back and listened to it again, and I wrote it down and I keep it written down next to a picture of my kids. And it says, taking care of yourself takes care of more than just yourself. I don't know what that had to do with selling cars? But it struck me and it's something that I think about quite often, so.

Question: Do you think Cass' confession in episode 18, did Dean look back at some of Cass' actions like breaking Sam's wall as the actions of Cass trying to remove a rival for Dean's attention?

Audience: Oooh.

Misha: What a scandalous question!

Jensen: [long pause] What? What, I'm gonna need - [motions to asker] one more time? In 18, the confession -

Question: After the confession, did Dean look back in retrospect, with new information, looking back on some of Cass' actions, like breaking Sam's wall, as the actions of trying to get a rival out of the way for Dean's attention? You know you've got this brother and you don't pay attention to anybody else, maybe if we send him to the loony bin, there's more time for me.

Audience: [laughing]

Jensen: [opens eyes wide in exaggerated trepidation] This is a freakin' minefield that I'm about to -

Misha: I've always wanted to watch you get cancelled.

Jensen: Hey hey hey, I got it, I got it. I got it. Um, No. And here's why. Because I don't believe that Cass would have ever thought that by removing Sam from Dean's life, would have any positive aspects.

Misha: You dodged a bullet, nice work.

Jensen: [exaggeratedly takes off hat, runs hand through hair, generally makes faces]

Misha: That was a close one.

Jensen: My mouth is dry now.
