I was going to wait to post about my new love and endeavor once all the graduation and prom posts subsided but after I heard on @npr what Billionaire Robert F. Smith, did for Morehouse College @morehouse1867 on Sunday at the graduation ceremony, I thought this is a perfect time to share. ⁣ ⁣ Robert F. Smith had not planned to make history at Morehouse College but after spending time with students and hearing their stories - and hearing how much debt these students would be carrying after graduation, moved him.⁣ ⁣ So, alongside his pledge of $1.5M to the school during his remarks in front of the nearly 400 graduating seniors, the technology investor and philanthropist surprised nearly everyone by announcing that his family was providing a grant to eliminate the student debt of the entire Class of 2019. ⁣ ⁣ Which leads me to my story. As I was turning 50, I asked the hard question; what's next? ⁣ ⁣ If you don't know by my posts, I love the arts. So my life's dream is to start a foundation.
