「quitting cigarettes and picnics」 Art Donaldson x F!reader

"no smoking" you take the cigarette from his hand just as he is about to light it with the lighter, you sit up on the picnic blanket and his head falls against the grass in frustration.

"Not againnn" he whines, his hand still in the position it was when he still had the cigarette between the fingers. 

"it's bad for your health" you say a stern tone, trying to come across as assertive, you've been trying to get him to stop smoking for some time now, you place the cigarette back in the packet carefully.

"Please, I smoked only four the whole week!" he reaches for the packet again but you put it in the back pocket of your jeans 

"And I'm really proud of you, but let's keep it that way and also, tennis players don't smoke".

 "Federer actually doe-".

"I don't care what other tennis players do" you interrupt him and Art laughs out loud as you slap his shoulder lightly. 

"I'm serious Art, smoking is a horrible addiction, and it's not good for your health at all" he looks at you from his lying position, an affectionate smile on his face as you show your concern for his health. 

His hand reaches for yours and bring it to his lips to kiss it "It's hard to stop, I've been doing it since I was 16, give me some time I promise I'll stop, for you" his hands takes yours over his heart.

The feel of his lips against you your hand calms you down a little, it's a small and simple gesture, but it means a lot. Hearing him say that he wants to stop smoking for you makes your heart flutter. You look into his eyes and see sincerity there, "I don't want you to stop for me, I want you to do it for yourself" you say in a serious tone, your eyes locking with his to emphasize the importance of this decision.

"Look, if you give me one last cigarette I'll never smoke again" his pinky is out for you to take and you look skeptical at him "you promise?" you ask.

"I swear."

You study his face, your eyes looking him over for any sign of dishonesty, after a moment of searching, you see nothing but honesty in his expression. You link pinkies with him and chuckle "okay, but only because you pinky promised" you joke while grabbing the packet out your pocket and hand him the cigarette, a few moments later the cigarette is lit between his lips and he inhales from it. 

You watch him intently, the way his lips wraps around the cigarette, the way his chest puffs up as he inhales the smoke, taking in every detail of this moment "I gotta say... you look really hot right now" you admit and Art rests his back against the tree you two are resting under, the sun is warm and the breeze is so pleasing on the skin, Stanford's park in spring is so beautiful, he is so beautiful.

A slight smile forms on his lips as he takes in another drag from his cigarette. He looks over to you and whispers playfully "not as hot as you" his eyes locks with yours, his focus solely on you and the way your eyes sparkle in the sunlight. He lifts his hand and gently brushes a stray strand of hair out of your face, his touch sending a shiver down your spine.

He holds in the smoke for a few seconds before blowing it out in the opposite direction, away from your face. He takes another drag from the cigarette, savoring the taste and the feeling of the smoke filling his lungs one last time. He lets out a small chuckle and looks back at you, a playful glint in his eyes. "You really think I'm hot when I smoke?" he teases, his voice low and husky as he holds the cigarette between his fingers, you nod. 

"Maybe I shouldn't stop then" your brows furrows slightly as you try to maintain a serious expression, but his teasing words and his cheeky smile make it difficult to keep a straight face. You pretend to consider his proposal, to be deep in thought before responding with a playful tone "hmm... I guess you have a point there" you say with a wry smile as you try to keep up the facade of seriousness, "but I think you would be hotter if you did what I ask" Art scoffs.

"always so bossy".

You chuckle softly, "what can I say? I like taking charge" you reach out and grab his hand, lacing your fingers with his, your thumb gently caressing the back of his hand. A mischievous smile forming on his lips. 

"Not always though" he answers and you blush. He grins even wider when he sees your red cheeks, relishing in the fact that he can have such a strong effect on you with just a few words. "aww, did I make you blush? " he teases, gently pinching your cheek, you swat his hand away and he realizes he totally forgot the cigarette he has in his other hand.

He chuckles with you and takes a final drag from the almost finished cigarette before extinguishing it on the grass, making sure it is completely out, he grabs your wrist to get you near him "alright, no more smoking, I promise" he says with a smile before leaning in "I think I deserve a kiss" but you push him by his chest. 

"No kissing". 

He pouts dramatically, his lips sticking out in a playful show of disappointment "aw, cmon, just a little kiss?" he pleads, trying to coax you into giving in to his charms, but you're not budging. 

You hold firm, shaking your head with a smile and chuckle "nice try, but nope, I hate tasting the tabacco when we kiss". 

He lets out a long, dramatic sigh and feigns a wounded expression, "oh, that's right" he says, his shoulders sagging as he looks up at you with a pitiful look, "but what about just a peck on the cheek, huh?" he reaches out and pokes your side, you yelp "just a little kiss, I'm desperate for your affection" he says with a playful grin, "don't leave a man hanging".  

You sigh and lean in to kiss his cheek softly, "thank you" you whisper and he smiles lovingly at you, you feel his hand slip into your back pocket, placing the cigarettes there, it's a small gesture, but it means a lot. A sense of trust and comfort washes over you as you look up into his eyes, the love and admiration you have for him clear as day. You smile and lay next to him, your head on his chest as you close your eyes, the birds chirping are bullying you to sleep and you hug his waist tightly. 

As he holds you in his embrace, his fingers caress your back, lulling you into a state of contentment and relaxation. For a moment you're both quiet, just enjoying each other's company in the warm summer air, the gentle rustling of leaves and the sound of the other students nearby creating a peaceful soundtrack to the scene. He shifts slightly, pulling you closer to him as he rests his chin on top of your head.

"We should get up, we don't want to be waken up by the sprinklers... again" you mumble and Art laughs at the memory.

"You're right, we definitely don't want that" he says with a grin, he runs his hand down your side to give your hip a squeeze and gives you one last lingering kiss on the top of your head before reluctantly letting go of you, sitting up straight. With a content sigh, he stretches his arms above his head before getting up on his feet, you're up on yours seconds later.

After folding the blanket to put it in Art's backpack his hand takes yours "wanna sleep in my room tonight? we could order take out and watch a movie" he suggests and you nod happily "sounds good" you yawn and rest your head on his shoulder as he guides you towards his room. 

"Brush your teeth first, I wanna kiss you" you mumble and Art laugh softly 'always so bossy' he thinks as he looks down at you lovingly. 

"yes m'am".

3,4,6,8,15 & 16 for the Doctor Who ask game!

3. Who is your favourite Doctor? Why?

My favourite is 13! She's just so... on the one hand quite optimistic and hopeful, on the other so terrible at communicating (I like that in a woman apparently) and broody, and she gets so much trauma, my poor skrunkly. I have a particular soft spot for her because her era made me feel properly represented a lot. Also side note, I adore her costume. But 13 is the one I also imagine in my head when I say "the Doctor". (with 12 coming close as well)

4. Who is your least favourite Doctor? Why?

Only counting those I saw, I don't particularly like Four, but the ones I enjoy least are generally Ten and Eleven. (This is gonna piss some people off) I'm trying to figure out which I like less, but it depends on my mood. Ten because I found Series 2 annoying to watch (I am at best neutral towards TenRose, don't really care and find it very annoying at worst), and Ten's treatment of Martha makes me want to bang his head against a wall. Also, he yells soooo much and I get it blah, but urgh it annoys me a lot. (Me during The Martian Invasion of Planetoid 50: Shut up Ten 🙄)

For Eleven, I think my quarrels are with some of the writing, but also Matt Smith gives me the creeps. I again don't like him shouting because uhhhh, idk men shouting is really, ready uncomfortable. I think his characterisation fell apart a bit after the Ponds left...

I feel like I have more textual things to point to with Ten (well there's SA scenes as a "joke" with both and in 12s era which I generally hate), and with Eleven it comes down to me just being creeped out by Matt Smith for no reason I can really point out.

6. NuWho or Classic Who? Why?

NuWho for the simple reason of I've actually watched all of it and it's more approachable to me (it engages my at times hyperactive brain better) plus all my favourite beloveds are from NuWho. I do hope to watch at least a few episodes of each Doctor (or companion actually) at some point!!! So far I have the very first ep, Doctor Who and the Silurians, the Infernoverse story, most of Sarah Jane, and most of Ace.

8. Favourite outfit of the Doctor's? Why?

Thirteen, definitely. I love the style she wears (recommend the video on her costume with Ray Holman!). From the wide trousers to the boots to the shirt (rainbow hellooo!), to her EARRING!!!! I'm in love with the earring!

15. What is your favourite companion outfit and why?

Uhhh... Instinctively said Yaz's PotD one! I actually have a vaguely similar yellow jacket! That being said, while I'm not a fan of Clara, her wardrobe is to die for (specifically thinking of the Under the Lake/Before the Flood outfit... I like yellow, HU XD)

16. Who's your favourite Doctor/Companion duo?

Oh, I'm torn between Thirteen & Yaz and Twelve & Bill. Am I allowed a double answer? 😂 I love Thirteen and Yaz (as Thasmin or outside of that) for the way they just immediately clicked and are so on one wavelength a few episodes in (think "Couldn't you reverse the polarity or something?" "Yasmin Khan, you speak my language."), and just their entire dynamic.

And Bill and Twelve are just soooo grandpa and granddaughter and it's so much fun (Bill deserves so much more), and Bill calling him out on his bullshit? Her calling him a penguin with his arse on fire? Delicious. (S10 was also by far Twelve's strongest season)

So yeah. I can't decide between those two.

Which is the reason why you both are driving home in silence. It’s up to you on whether or not you accept his apology or don’t talk to him for a few days or weeks, all in the end he loves your frame so much 😩.

Yep, a bitter little four-legged furry companion. I love him and my friend does not, it is an unrequited love. He loves to show me his beautiful teeth and fangs every time I'm around him (Please don't get me wrong, I don't mistreat him or anything like that, he's just like that, I won't tell the story)

Although traveling is very tiring (yes, I know) I would love to know many places (I already have a mental list lol), to know new cultures! since when you die the only thing you take with you (of course) is what you have lived, what you have experienced, enjoyed, learned in life.

I do not know if it is considered a dream, it is simply something I want to do, but if I do not achieve it, I will simply not feel frustrated

I love playing music, now I am trying to learn to play new instruments, draw, also a few years ago I loved to practice martial arts, they are tough but great! for X reasons I had to leave them, but I hope to get back to them, one day.

Funny... Well, I am quite a case 😅 (or so they tell me), the truth should be answered by someone who knows me because I would not know how to tell you ... ummm, I could sometimes release some stupid comment that is irrelevant and that people laugh of that (without the intention of being funny). I forget the names of the people and I was embarrassed later yeah I'm a little clueless 😬

I have caught inspiration from other people and their style, things that I see on the internet that catch my attention and I suppose that all that becomes ... something?. I would not know how to define it.

Normally (if I am very focused) I listen to quiet instrumental solo music as a LoFi for example. But I like almost all genres of music.

15.) What is your favorite of your own creations so far? 

Well I would say that I have no favorites at the moment

I don't have an artistic style hahaha I catch things from one place to another, I put it all together and that's it. Anything could come out, a vomit with glitter and with beautiful things for example.

Saerys

- Okay so they have twins I LOVE TWINS STORYLINES asdghejw, one boy and one girl

- They get Saerys eyes I may have a slight weakness to characters with heterochromatic eyes ;w;

- I think being born from a Demon and human one of them will be full on demon and the other will be more humanoid. Maybe this will cause conflicts due to jealousy? bUT somehow through a twin connection where one is dying or something (the angst tho) the one with the demon powers gets to share some and they conquer the world together??? IDK LET ME DREAM Lol

- MC would totally let them skip school to train and although Saerys would be resilient at first, he would let them because he loves his family and would teach them everything they needed to know to stay safe and protected.

- The girl would probably be kind of mysterious and edgy and the boy more goofy. They would be super competitive between them but protective when it comes to dangers surrounding the other.

- Twins would probably act more like parents than actual MC and Saerys which are just confused half of the time, but they would do anything for their family

- Lots of trips to Chicago, Saerys would be frustrated at how easily they grasp the concept of a smartphone when he still gets scared when the ringtone starts chiming.

August

- They probably would have a biG family, like 6 kids big lololl

- Oldest to youngest their ages would be 21 (boy), 17 (boy), 15 (girl), 10 (girl), 9 (boy) and 5 (girl)

- They would bicker, like a lot. Specially the 17 year old boy and the 15 year old girl who would totally fight for who is the best in combat and both act like alpha’s to the family lol. 

- The boy who is 21 years old would be the protective one, always ensuring his siblings are okay and would totally be the mom friend tm

- 10 and 9 years old would be troublemakers and best friends, boy would be a bit shy but 10 year old girl would be a mischief kween

- 5 year old girl would grow to be the strongest in combat and lead the general army due to constantly wanting to keep up with her brothers and sisters, she would be sassy and have the best comebacks when growing up lol

- August and MC would have playfully fights on who is the best parent and their kids would just sigh and roll their eyes when they start listing all the ways they are better than the other (ending in them being all couple-y lollolol, kind of like in “Anything you can do”)

Altea

- Twin girls againnn asfkhre I am weak okay??

- They would totally swap clothes and pretend to be each other all the time

- They both get magical powers and would try to prove to each other who is the most powerful, only to be interrupted by Altea who would separate them with her magical boss self of course doing this only to prove she is the most powerful one lolol.

- MC and Altea would be such supportive parents tbh, attending all events and cheering their babiesss

- They would be d r a m a t i c and probs extroverted

- Twins would love to visit Chicago and totally find every single excuse for Altea and MC to take them. They love the fact they can lead a double secret life, teens worrying about makeup all day and epic wizards beings in secret tune in to next episode of Hannah Montana loll

Iseul

- Another big oneee, 3 boys and one girl (who would be the eldest) but the boys act like they have to protect her. Girl would be 16 years old while the boys 11, 9 and 8

- Iseul, MC and the kids would have prank competitions all the time ending in full on wars lol

- The kids would love Iseuls family and would be constantly hanging out with queen Isahara, specially the girl, which would make Iseul groan at all the family embarrassing bonding time.

- Probably super sporty family, all belonging to sport clubs in school and rivalry on to who was the best (even though the youngest one was the best by a mile because he got those archery skills from papa)

- Loaaaads of camping trips, if Girl Scouts existed in magical land, they would totally be scouts.

- The 11 year old boy would be player-ish and be on relationships since birth which MC doesn’t really approve off but Isuel be giving his boy high fives.

- 9 year old would totally take on his dads humor and laugh at the most inappropriate situations and walk into dangerous situations all the time because he can be kinda clueless leaving it up to their siblings to rescue him (never a better time to bond than in danger amaright?? lol)

Reiner

- 2 boys that are 1 year apart from each other age wise.

- Oh god Reiner would totally be that dad who makes dad jokes 24/7 and the boys and MC would just groan every-time.

- I imagine the youngest one being super gentleman-ish and the elder a troublemaker

- When it comes down to who would take Reiners position the older brother would totally give his place to his brother and go live in Chicago to lead a seemingly normal life.

- MC would be super jealous of who they date because who dares touch her bois, break their heart and ill break you, while Reiner would just calm her down with terrible puns that end up cracking a smile on her.

- They would be opposites but they got each others backs, they complement each other

Helena

- Helena and MC would have one girl and one boy that are 5 years apart from one another, the girl being the eldest.

- They would fight allll the time and would so have magical powers, kind of like a the incredibles Violet and Dash relationship.

- The girl would totally go through her emo face while the boy would embarrass her in public which would end up in bickering 

- Helena would be protective m o m while MC would be lost half of the time, she would totally read a parenting book.

- Oh god but it would totally be Dash and Violet dynamic

- Also like the boy would be really curious and nosey, snooping through her stuff and teasing her for her crushes, earning a magic blast and starting small fights Helena stops with a swish of her hand.

- Although they fight all the time, they genuinely care about the other and secretly help each other out when the other is in trouble (like if the boy is being bullied and the girl notices, she would threaten the bullies making the best imitation Helena, or if the girl fell asleep in the living room, the boy would take her to her room and made sure she rested).

Alain

- They have one girl and she is Alain’s and MC’s literal world

- She would be nerdy and shy, probably smart and hates conflict

- She would be super pretty and get tons of guys after her but would be kinda clueless when it comes to love, would probably end up falling with the least expected person. Also as a side note Alain would probably threaten every boy that enters the house while MC chuckles at his jealousy over 13 year old boys

- MC and Alain would totally read bedtime stories up until she has to talk with them about how 10 years old do not need their parents reading to them anymore lol

- Alain would totally leave embarrassing little notes in her lunchbox she pretends to be annoyed about but secretly would keep because his dad is the best

- Would love going to Chicago and would laugh with MC at how clueless her dad looked and jumped at every sign of danger (which basically meant every car that passed by)

1. Siguro, madami kayong problema na madadaanan and minsan mahirap i-open up si joyce. Please, never ever make the same mistakes as i did na lagi siya pinipilit mag open okay? It will take time pero she would eventually open up din kahit bit by bit.

2. Si joyce.. she’s amazing. Overthinker nga lang, kaya always make sure na she’s enough. More than enough to be honest.

3. Make sure to give her/or show her little things that would cheer her up or make her happy kahit walang occasion, maaappreciate niya yun sobra.

4. Speaking of appreciation, di siya masyado marunong magbigay ng reaction kapag may binibigay sakanya pero deep inside naaappreciate naman niya talaga kaya dont you worry brad/besshy, natutuwa talaga yun.

5. I loved her, because she has a very kind heart. May malaki siyang soft spot para sa mga nakakatanda and sa mga bata, (kahit awkward siya minsan sa mga bata, gusto niya talaga sila deep inside heh pag hindi annoying) lalo na sa mga nasa lansangan.

6. Talented din siya oh diba what a catch! haha, kahit sinasabi niyang hindi. Gumagaling na siya sa pag drawing and oil pastel, you should see her works ang ganda na talaga. tapos, marunong pa siya magpiano what even, di nga abot ng kamay ko yung ibang keys samantalang sakanya ang effortless lang wow. Ang bilis pa niya matuto. I’m super amazed kapag nagsesend siya saakin ng recordings of her playing, titirisin kita kapag di mo naappreciate yang mga ipagsesend niya sayo ha nako ka, may araw ka din sakin.. charot.

7. She has a very beautiful voice, hindi ko lang alam kung bakit di siya naniniwala na magaling din naman siya kumanta (minsan hehehe joke) kaya mission ko para sayo, please try your best na ipafeel sakanya na magaling siya, and that her voice is music to your ears okay? Kung di siya music sa tenga mo aba'y sisipain din naman kita pagkatapos sapakin, no big deal. char againnn. Maybe.

8. Magaling siya mag lead kapag siya na ang leader, tapos she would really put effort sa mga gagawin (kahit as a normal group member lang din) Andami ko nang times na nakikita na maeffort siya pagdating sa mga ganun, lalo na pag affected yung grades niya. Kahit nga sa mga projects niya ang effort din niyan eh, galing galing talaga hehe. It shows na kaya din niya gampanan mga responsibilities niya even if she’s sooooo lazy sometimes. She’d still make sure na ginawa niya lahat ng tama.

9. Did i ever mention na artistic siya? if oo, then oh well.. i’m gonna mention it again anyways. Oo, artistic siya. Ang galing din ng pagcalligraphy niya huhu.

10. Marunong siya magskateboard, tas yung ibang tricks din. Damn. Damn talaga.

11. Magaling siya mag acting, like shet??? Have you seen her act?! Nakaka bilib siya. Hands down. Para kang nanonood ng ibang tao kapag nag aact siya. Also, sumali yan sa contest ng sabayang pagbigkas sa pasig. Don’t me. Galing niya non, tapos ang effort niya sa lahat ng practices niya.

12. Magaling magbasketball, may pagka sporty yan eh hahaha. Get you a girl who could shoot!

13. Mahusay sa filipino, lalo na kapag nagfform ng constructed sentences. She really does know how to clearly express her thoughts beautifully.

14. She likes cute stuff. Lalo na yung mga design na aesthetic pero cute, mga tumblr-ish style with small cartoons or designs. Oh, and if i were you, make sure na kapag nasa sm ka daan ka lang sa stationary dep. (or any store with stationary) buy her any cute thing na useful tas ibigay mo lang. Her smile after receiving it will really brighten your day because trust me, it worked for me. Sobrang worth it.

15. Sobrang caring niya, and thoughtful. May ibang times nga na kapag naggive up na ako sa isang project, siya na mismo yung gumagawa eh. Pero syempre i never took it for granted, kaya ikaw din. Never. Take. Her. For. Granted. She deserves the best arayt?

16. She lovesss dogs. Esp golden retrievers and pugs, send her pics of them every once in a while yeah?

17. She hates ketchup and extravagant food. She prefers food na comfortable para sakanya na kainin and yung simple lang. Take her somewhere na di niyo pa napupuntahan, she likes adventures instead of being cooped up lang sa isang room.

18. She has a vast knowledge about OPM songs, hilig nga din niya dun eh. Pero depende din naman yun sa mood niya, minsan naaapektuhan ng kanta yung mood niya tas nadadama na niya talaga hahaha.

19. Straightforward siya, sobra. Ipopoint out lang naman niya kapag may something na mali or iba sayo, and it’s for your sake din. (i actually got angry lagi dati pero ngayon ko lang talaga narealize na she was doing it for me)

21. Mahilig kumuha ng pictures, lalo na kapag nature. She has nice shots, pwede na mag photographer char

22. Hyper and halipaparot, minsan lonely kaya don’t ever leave her alone.
