i recently finished reading The Eye of the World by Robert Jiordan, and it makes how bad the Wheel of Time series was even more shocking.

you have lore custom built to give your costume department the license to go buck wild, and instead, everyone is dressed like an extra from Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. there's a handful of interesting pieces (most of which i'd put money on were borrowed from locals at the assorted eastern european locales where the show was shot) but it's mostly bad acrylic/polyester/spandex fantasy clothes from an Amazon warehouse, with the occasional bottom layer made of natural fiber. everyone should be dressing like the meiji era meets a renaissance festival and instead you get... this

and don't get me wrong, Rosamund Pike could serve cunt wearing a trash bag. but still. i also don't want to talk about the disgraceful face smoothing that occurs. the director is a coward who fears milfs.

to rub salt in the wound, almost every creature you see is bad tv cgi, something i am so used to i almost wouldn't bother bringing it up. except apparently there WERE several creature actors and practical effects people working to create the monsters, only for them to be replaced digitally in the vast majority of the shots.

look at these guys!!! they worked so hard and for what??

Time for a lil bit of lore :3

Chronos is a young adult who dresses in a lab coat and a mask he built himself. He calls himself a scientist but never really takes science or himself seriously. After simply messing around, he somehow made life from a jar of mayonnaise. After doing so, he would design robotic limbs for the thing to make life easier. Chronos' hobbies include being an idiot, summoning demons from random things he finds on the depths of the internet, and doing fuckall. Also he wears mittens instead of lab gloves, it's all he has access to.

There's nothing quite like wanting something for so long and the moment you have enough money to obtain it, you buy it and then are overcome with such dread of spending so much money at once you feel like you won't recover

#anyways i just spent like almost 350 for a kickass computer setup for the tower moniter and combo keyboard and mouse deal #technically it is covered by my tax returns but i also havent been doing so hot on my hours at work #i hate being in constant pain that has been interfering with my work while also having a bad mental state about my work on top of it #but at least now i can start trying to do more digital art and maybe try opening for commisions eventually #im trying so hard not to feel bad about finally getting this i have been wanting for so long since my laptop shit out #im tired of feeling stuck in a situation i cant do anything about to fix it and i just want this one little treat to make it not so bad

Still kind of in disbelief that hands down the best capture card I have for GameCube games was some random thing I found for free on Craigslist

#its technically an old tv tuner card but it takes s-video and looks fucking awesome #the colors are so much better than gv-usb2 #and gv-usb2 is now twice as expensive as it used to be because i guess word spread among gamers #the gamer tax is real lmao #anyway just dont use an elgato for retro games and you'll be golden most anything will be better #but i think the difference is just having an on board card that appears to make a huge difference #maybe it lets it make use of computer processing power to make the proc amp stuff look better #dunno but it's awesome #analog digitizing

Kinda wild. I've had it for like 15 years & it's been beat tf up Plenty but never broken. But now it is, so I Guess I probably should start thinking about getting a new one

i’ve worked less than 30 hours for both of the last two weeks. barely 40 hours overall for this paycheck
