the series is cookie run kingdom btw :3 not rly into the fandom side of it bc its hard for me to relate to like. actual ancient heroes and bad guys and otherwise OP, several steps above you kinda chars. so it makes it hard to care for them :'3 but the game is fun, storyline is good, and the char designs r cute!

Creature of Grey has kind of been... put on hiatus indefinitely. It's a story I love but also a story I made when i was 13-17. If I ever want to return to it, I'd have to give it a massive overhaul and change a lot of things.

Unfortunately I don't have any new art, but while looking for any of my older art to repost I found some pages for any early draft, back when I originally planned to make this a published series (2019/2020 me had a lot of ambition lol) but i ended up scrapping it because I didn't want to go into making a big series without more writing experience (hence why I did a lot of shorter comics, which later developed into Bugtopia and Monsters and Girls). It also lacked a proper script and outline, so I was just kind of making things up as I wrote.

Looking back its kind of hilarious because everyone is having their quaint little sitcom storyline and Vern is going through absolute hell

(If you're wondering why the page/colors look nicer I believe I still had photoshop at the time so I was a lot more comfortable with the brushes and effects. I was also trying to make it look more "professional" since again, I was expecting to sell this as a physical book series)

I was testing the waters to see how people felt about these characters, unfortunately these drawings barely did well compared to my other works, so it told me everything i need to know.

Some of my old character designs were pretty rough (though im super biased towards Vern bc ive been drawing his ass since I was 11), but its really fun looking back at these old comics.

ppl who follow me are tired of me saying this, but if i could address the aa fandom directly... i rly would just ask that people like, stop being mean about dd and soj. like thats all i want.

im not even IN the fandom anymore, so i have no reach. i draw fanart and make my little ship posts but thats all. and thats bc the wider fandom ... is so fucking mean sometimes. omg. like its just not fun!!

but really, specifically, its about the dd and soj thing. the "play ace attorney we have so many games and [MOST OF THEM] are good!" thing. like, its fine if you dont LIKE dd and soj, obviously!! im not saying you HAVE to!

but "i dont like these games" and "these games are objectively bad and no one likes them" are entirely different statements.

plenty of people like dd and soj, even have them as their favorite games. i know this bc my soj fanart gets notes 😭 i have ppl in my tags excited and happy when i draw dhurke and datz. bc we like these characters!! and like to think about them and the story they come from!

...just bc YOU dont like soj, doesnt mean a lot of ppl dont like soj! so i really dont understand the drive to constantly talk down and insult these games?! like ... why be negative. u could be nicer. its possible and easy and then doesnt drive ppl away from the fandom bc their favorite games are being trashtalked all the time.

a lot of ppl find the space family dd interesting! they LIKE the phantom and his concept as a character! they LIKE soj and all of the political settings! it doesnt rly matter that they are, by and large, A Little Flop, bc people still LIKE them and like making content for them and thinking abt them and playing in the space and...!! like. why hate that? why constantly put us down for enjoying smth you didnt?

just dont need to constantly make slights at how "bad" and supposedly unenjoyable dd and soj are. cus not only is it mean, and makes the fandom hostile, but its literally untrue. i dont even consider myself in the fandom anymore bc all the fun is taken out of it when i have to brace myself for shitty comments like this whenever i read a post abt the series!

and i rly wish i could just Not Care what other ppl say. a lot of my friends dont care. but soj is like.....ive spent the past 5 years loving that stupid ass mediocre game. like its deeply important to me. and i just feel like a lot of ppl would have some fun with it if they werent constantly told how bad and skippable it is. im sure dd fans feel the same way.

ball mercedes is finished!!!! finally!!! i had a lot of fun drawing her lol, she’s also the first girl i’ve posted a drawing of on my tumblr so uhhhh yay for breaking the glass ceiling i guess???? i was having a lot of trouble with what directions to take her in but @astralsoap sent me a lot of rlly useful historical references and stuff about like the style influences in 3H. @pathetic-gamer ‘s series on fashion in fodlan was a particularly good read and i recommend it for anyone interested in 3H’s costume designs :3

all of that being said. i really didn’t take very much concrete inspiration from the references LMAO i was struggling with whether or not mercie would have like a super fashionable dress and i actually decided that she wouldn’t. i don’t think she would have the means to get smth super cute and trendy for the ball, and what i actually envisioned is that this is a dress that was given to her by her mother that she altered by cutting the sleeves off and adding the sheer bit at the top to make it her own. she DID take her hair out of its ponytail and tease it a bit bc i just find her fluffy hair so cute and pretty and i wanna see more of it all of the time. also idk how clear it is with the shape of her eyes but she is wearing eyeshadow lol

in my mind, mercie was more concerned with getting her friends prettied up for the ball than herself lol. she went dress shopping with annette and ingrid (against the latter’s will) and she helped them with their hair and makeup. she also did dedue’s hair and managed to get felix to stop bitching and let her do his also bc like. how could she resist those long locks.

i think mercedes loved the ball lol it’s exactly her vibe. she probably went to bed early after some dancing but i like to think she had a nice night.

after I played bdg3 almost 420hrs and I got bored a little bit with it so recently started to playing bdg1... (actually I was not a fan of the D&D before so I never expected to me making character and playing game but .. yea.. yk.. ppl change

first time I launched the bdg1 and I thought 'wow. this is fucking old ... can i possible to handle this.. ' 😂 but i found this is fun as much as bdg3 ?!? so happy to enjoying another bdg series hehehe

+ I don't draw much like before bc I can't enjoy drawing like I used to do 😔.. this makes me fucking sad but its been already few months and well.. Idk why and how to solve this problem so maybe now I have to accept this miserable terrible fucking unhappy status :/ so I'm just doing my other works and playing game! anyway, I'm well haha and hope y'all doing good too

Crows!! Cute!! Also sorry i didnt get to this sooner my laptop BROKE (still broken but usable) and my mom and i have been looking for someone to fix it. Ive been drawing with it sparingly to be careful.

YES there is magic. Of course im still working on this storywise but im getting characters designs n whatnot done right now. Dynamics n stuff. BUT i do have some refs i made before my laptop broke.

I like to draw out certain stuff so that it helps with descriptions in the future; i have the worst memory so it helps to be able to do so. (More beneath cut)

Im so excited for moon's shadow form. Oh my god. Its probably my favorite thing right now.

Fun thing about it is that in this form he can touch you but you cant touch him. Something something you can be cast in shadow but you cant take it off yk? He's still light sensitive like this though, so if the area hes in isn't dark enough or he's hit with anything too bright he just reverts back. At that point he'd just have to rely on normal hand to hand stuff and his sand lol. The shadow form is just better for sneaking and speed. Really, he's some amalgamative idea of the sandman and boogieman. I thought it fit well with his whole "naptime attendant gone wrong" thing.

Sun's design, however, is more like if you mixed a cowboy, wizard, and gravedigger together. I made it a while ago on a whim with no intention behind it but then i ended up thinking "ykw would be so awesome".

The hat dips to cover the crescent side of his face (not intentional on his part) to symbolize his resentment towards moon and how he basically damned him to an hourglass. His eyes are easier to see bc of this which could seem more trusting (eyes are the window to the soul or whatever), but the thing is thats not normal for him (as we know) so it's meant to make him look suspicious and looming to 4th wall viewers. There's also the fact that i just thought it was cool too.

He also doesn't get a second form. Moon's sneaky and weird so i thought it would fit to give him some freaky thing iykwim. Sun, however, is a pretty "in your face" kinda guy, so his look and fight style is more extravagant and boisterous. Lots of swinging amd yelling and boom bang zap! Despite the showiness he's actually a longer range fighter. Mainly because unlike moon, thousands of years ago, he wasn't often one to get violent with his hands. His weapon is just obnoxiously large too though.

They are still one animatronic and their transformation is still triggered by light. Instead of an AI chip though (which is still in there but long dead), they live through the work of a soul. They're still physically inorganic but as far as spiritually they're as close as they're gonna get to being human. Their life and functionailty is derived from the magic itself, not the machinery. Like if for some reason they lost all their magic they'd just drop dead from a battery life long since drained.

The hourglass has a carousel-like design to it purely as reference to moon's level in Help Wanted 2.

Sorry for rambling so much but this is what i've got for you so far! I have a general idea for the plot but im tryna to make it more than what it is rn, so i dont wanna share too much of that just yet in case i change or completely toss away an idea.

My sister's schedule is pretty busy so I just got to when they entered the NWP in ch4.

We decided to play it bc now that I'm a Danganronpa fan, there's no way I can watch Game Grumps without blowing my brains out.

So far...

Ch 1 - Solid, drags a bit tho.

Ch 2 - Everything is solid except Kirumi being the prime minister. I would've taken that out. I also didn't get why Miu was just naked at one point.

Ch 3 - I... hate the Necronomican so much. It makes no sense and I just can't take it. I want to defend DRV3 but ch3 is so terrible.

Characters are fun. I do agree that the Training Trio is the strongest Trio in the series. I like how they have time to hang out and actually talk. I wish Chiaki and Nagito had bonding moments like those. Kokichi is really disappointing me with how he really doesn't do anything (but I know he'll do more in ch5)

BUT I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD. THE ULTIMATE HUNT BETTER BE SOMETHING. THEY KEEP MENTIONING IT AND ITS GOING NO WHERE.

Also thank you, I don't plan on stopping drawing Fuyu/peko. Fun fact, I think there's so little ppl drawing Fuyu/peko, that ppl sometimes ask me if I'm thewildwilds (the most popular tumblr fuyu/peko artsit) new account... which is wild bc we don't draw the same.

... Now that I think about it... Fuyuhiko would not survive the DRV3 cast
