Miyu paints his nails black whenever he’s to lazy to do it (Sometimes asks matt to do it— but.. rarely, since Matt’s hands are really shakey)

Learned how to style and braid hair from miyu, so Miyu frequently asks for help whenever she needs a extra hand

This guys has his moments, but he is real cold. Even around Matt and Miyu, but even so— he ends up participating in whatever they do outside the Kira case, just a small… small soft spot for these two (Mostly Matt)

Mello normally tries ways to calm his anger down. Ever since he found out Miyu has been afraid of him at times from Matt— with just a few pushes, he slowly attempts to learn how to manage his anger

He is a massive older brother model for Miyu. (She never told him, but if she did. He would honestly freeze for a second to process— he would be warmed, but he doesn’t show it)

Forces Matt sometimes to wear actual fitting clothes whenever they go out (he thinks his style sucks, Miyu helps out aswell)

Learned how to cook so he could feed two big backs in the apartment

The guy who kept track of the chores and responsibilities equally between the trio.

They did the ‘Blind, Dead, Mute’ cooking challenge because Miyu forced them too one time. It was the first time in forever since they heard mello laugh loudly one time (they want to do it again sometime to make that happen again)

Whenever mello and Matt have their moments, Miyu sits there, looking at a imaginable camera or someone around them and says: “these*****’s gay.”

Another roblox moment. Whenever they play a horror game— it’s always: Matt is the one who gets scared sometimes but is the one who does all the work, Miyu is the gal who hides or scream really loud whenever they get chased, mello somehow never gets scared and tries to help Matt out with the tasks/objectives in the game (he lets out a few chuckles in amusement at Matt and Miyu’s fear)

i may have cheated on this one a little. Genesis is a dad, he is mostly sweet. but he also kills you if he wants to. he has to be wild with his music. he IS the music.

so thats why i chose pageant from moi dix mois, one of malice mizer's members' current band. pageant has that sick guitar sound with somehow sweet tone; just like genesis' persona. he may be a cute ginger dad but he can also be the one to impale you with a fucking guitar. the song actually reminds me of christmas too.

(@_@)🔫 okay so i’ll give you a list of the musical artists who i like most of/a majority of their discography. so in no particular order (except for my number one which is actually my number one 😂)

1. David Bowie - all time fav EVER. he is everything to me. i love all of his music (except for tin machine but there are still a couple songs from those albums i enjoy) and i can’t even begin to put in to words how much his lyrics resonate with me. (if anyone ever wants bowie album/song recs please ask me i can fucking talking about his shit 5ever)

2. YMO (yellow magic orchestra)/ryuichi sakamoto - i have a great fondness for experimental sound music/early electropop music from this time! and as for ryuichi sakamoto in particular i ADORE his piano compositions as well as a lot of his music from the 80’s and 90’s, ugh the atmosphere and emotion he manages to capture in his music is 👌😩

3. The Beatles - this pains me so much to say, but yeah the fucking bug music is good. i’m especially fond of their earlier albums

4. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons - always a solid bop and groove. i honestly think frankie valli is an under appreciated vocalist, his talent is truly stunning.

5. Elvis Costello - still casually going through his discography, but love his voice, love his lyrics, the dude is an artist for sure. i’m especially fond of his more ballady, slower songs.

6. Queen - yeah okay i don’t even need to explain this. OBVIOUSLY they are an amazing group and freddie mercury is an icon

Hey I've seen you posting Buck-Tick a lot recently. If I was to want to get into their music or other visual kei musicians what would you personally recommend, or what are your favorite tracks from them (I'm too easily swayed by long hair men). You don't have to answer this, but if you do that'd be awesome, I just want to get your general thoughts.

Ahh I'm so sorry it took me awhile to answer this but I'm very excited to respond

So I honestly only just recently got into vkei and specifically Buck Tick, I've really only listened to them and Malice Mizer and a few songs here and there from some other bands so I'm probably not best to recommend a vast array of vkei bands outside of BT and MM.

But I'm more than happy to get into my favorite BT songs under the cut (at least my favorite rn as my list will probably change as I hear more of their songs)

So currently my favorite song is, "Kirameki no naka de..." This song sounds so good, the experimental tone esp Toll on drums is just amazing, this isn't what I'd say is their best song but certainly my favorite because of the sound it just fits my exact taste in music perfectly and was the song that really got me into them

Next is "Jupiter", most people would also say this is high up on their list if not their favorite. The lyrics in this song are just so moving and beautiful it literally made me cry, Hide is an incredible songwriter and Sakurai is an incredible lyricist and this song is a great example of that.

Next is "die", another people rate highly. Honestly all aspects of this song are very good, the lyrics, the sound, the mv accompanying it. The song is incredibly haunting esp if you watch the visuals in the mv, they give such a jarring feeling, of a protagonist with regrets begging for forgiveness as I believe he's either already dead or on the brink of death, I'd highly recommend this song

And lastly "Hizumi", one of their newest songs off the most recent album IZORA. This song is about either a gnc man or a trans woman, most likely both who struggle in wanting to embrace their femininity but society forcing masculinity on them. Sakurai is very openly gender nonconforming and sees femininity as a virtue so this song serves as him relating his own experiences to another. He's pretty openly a trans ally so this song is him relating to that experience whilst also acknowledging his own experiences are not the same. This song is very emotional, it's evident when Sakurai performs it that it's very emotionally charged but overall very beautiful.

I hope you like these songs too, I'm not the best at recommending music but these songs particularly I really love, and thank you so much for the ask.

AHHHH OH MY GOD THE STAGE!!!! ITS SO BEAUTIFUL in the anime... . omg .... idk if I’ve said this on here or only in my head but I love this stage so much, it’s so nice to have a sort of setting made to match the song instead of just a generic stage with hearts or flowers or whatever. Magical Door is nice too. it’s my least fav of the s2 songs but that’s only bc I like See You Tomorrow and Ladyx3 so much. Ooo music recs! It’s kind of hard to narrow down, and not all of them are really “rock” recommendations per se… But here’s a few of my obsessions!

Utada Hikaru (宇多田ヒカル) is by far my favorite Japanese singer. Her English and Japanese are both super clear, while she tends to use more everyday vocabulary, so she was one of the first artists whose Japanese I was able to understand. She also has a lot of ooo’s and ahhh’s so there’s a lot to sing along to even if you don’t know all the words! But the words man... Her lyrics really feel like they get your deepest, most hidden emotions before you realized you were even feeling them. Her roots are 90’s R&B, but she explores all kinds of genres, so she’s never as simple as just “pop.” Her album Deep River was my first and a good intro to her stuff; Fantôme imo is an absolute masterpiece.

X Japan is a heavy rock band that should have been as world famous as Queen or the Beatles if the world weren’t so English-centric. They are half crazy speed metal and half piano power ballads. They’re the original visual kei, and their music is raw and powerful, violent and erotic, and despairing with just enough hope to keep you going on. The recent documentary We Are X is a great introduction to the band’s history and their music. Even though I love them so much, I still haven’t done a proper translation because so many of their songs that I like are already in English! “DAHLIA” is perhaps my favorite song because it’s the perfect mix of heavy and ballad, but 「紅」 (“Kurenai”) is always a karaoke favorite!

L’arc~en~Ciel is a band that I’ve loved as long as Utada Hikaru and X Japan, but I haven’t been listening to them much recently… I think because their songs are too low for me to sing along with comfortably. D: The vocabulary is usually a little more difficult, and the vocals aren’t always very clear, but Hyde’s voice is soooo sexy, and I don’t normally feel that way about singers, haha! They do a lot of anime intros so just about any of their stuff is easy to listen to. Smile was my first album, and it has the classic “READY STEADY GO” from FMA!

If you’re not into heavier stuff, Spitz is a band that I’m recently getting into because it’s everyone’s favorite band.  One of my former students was infamous for always playing them during the lunch broadcast at school. The first CD my partner ever bought was Spitz. My best friend loves the band, and even married a guy who’s in a Spitz cover band! Spitz is as long-lasting as X Japan, but with a softer, folksier melodic sound. Sometimes it seems like their lyrics have a hint of some deeper symbolic subtext about death or sex, but even just on the surface level their lyrics are gorgeous. 「チェリー」 “Cherry” and 「ロビンソン」 “Robinson” are probably some of their most-well known songs.

Wednesday Campanella (水曜日のカンパネラ) is one of my recent faves! Also not rock and more alternative/electronic/rap? But their music videos are always so surreal, while their lyrics always feature some weird combo of a literary/historical character meeting something completely random… Melos meets horse racing, Ra the Egyptian sun god meets microwave curry, Jeanne D’Arc meets bus tours. The raps are all crammed so full of wordplay and puns that probably even your average Japanese couldn’t pick them all out. You definitely have to memorize the songs entirely if you want some chance of keeping up at karaoke, but if you have a good one or two up your sleeve you’ll impress all of your Japanese coworkers! My karaoke go-to’s are 「桃太郎」“Momtarou” and 「一休さん」 “Ikkyu-san.”

Akai Ko-en and School Food Punishment are some lesser known, female(/female-led) rock bands that I also love! DO AS INFINITY is easily recognizable from Inuyasha, but all their songs are fun to listen to! If you like idol pop, Perfume is top-notch dancing/costumes/videos with LEGENDARY live shows. If you like visual kei, the classics like Luna Sea and Malice Mizer are great, but I’m also fond of an all-girl group called exist†trace!

4) What do you think about most? 

Probably stories and characters and just imagining scenarios in my head, that and a mix of work stuff and hhhh coffee.

6) Do you have any strange phobias? 

I used to have a massive phobia of dentists but kinda forced myself to get through it solely because of the amount of work I’ve needed done over my life. Idk if that counts as strange though. In the realm of more strange I’d say I have a phobia of the concept of falling in a sinkhole/having a sinkhole open up under me, and getting trapped/lost while spelunking in an underground water cavern even though I’ve never scuba dived in my life.

13) What is your greatest weakness; your greatest strength? 

My greatest weakness would be a mix of my anxiety and procrastination, my greatest strength is that no matter how bad stuff gets I push through cause I know it can’t stay bad forever.

14) Who is your celebrity crush?  

Sir Patrick Stuart, I could listen to him talk allll day.

18) What's a sound you hate; sound you love? 

Sound I hate: The sound when a fork scrapes against a plate too harshly and does that high pitched grindy noise.

Sound I love: Whispered asmr XD it's really soothing and oddly helps me concentrate

20) Do you believe in ghosts? How about aliens? 

Ghosts I’m kinda in the middle ground on cause there are definitely unexplained phenomena but I’m not settled on whether it’s ghosts or weird temporal shit going on. Aliens definitely believe in, as massive as the universe is I can’t believe no other planet has formed life. Now whether that life is capable of faster than light travel to come to earth I can’t say.

23) What's the worst place you have ever been to? 

The nursing home my father was in when he was dying when I was a little kid. I don't remember much cause my brain noped on most of those memories but I remember the smell and coldness and my dad being in a coma.

24) Most attractive singer/s of your opposite gender? 

First one that comes to mind is Klaha from Malice Mizer, the lead singer from Poets of the Fall whose name I’m totally blanking on, Steven Tyler in that weird kinda ugly-hot way lmao, and the lead singer of Gemini Syndrome whose name I’m also blanking on XD

30) Ever had a rumor spread about you? 

Yeah, in 4th grade. I had told my classmates I was diagnosed with adhd and a girl in my class starting telling everyone I had aids. (Fortunately it was fairly swiftly dispelled by my teacher)

42) You are at the doctor’s office and she has just informed you that you have approximately one month to live. a) Do you tell anyone/everyone you are going to die? b) What do you do with your remaining days? c) Would you be afraid? 

I think I’d tell everyone so they weren’t caught off guard when it happened. With my remaining days I’d try to see the places I’ve always wanted to see but haven’t been able to, Japan and Scotland mainly. I don’t think I’d be afraid of dying so much as the suffering leading up to death.

43) What's a song that always makes you happy when you hear it? 

Kujikenaikara from the Slayers anime. It just gets me bouncing and hype.

46) Can insanity bring on more creativity? 

I think so. I channel a lot of my intrusive thoughts into writing which helps (and also gives me some vivid dark ideas).

48) What would you want to be written on your tombstone? 

The lyric from Remember we Die by Gemini Syndrome: “Remember we die, but you’re still alive so don’t let go”

52) If you could press a button and make anyone in the world instantaneously explode, who would it be? 

My old boss at the naturopathic store I used to work at. I’ve met few people as sour and vindictive as her. (She died a couple years after I left though despite constantly shitting anyone who got even slightly sick and bragging about how healthy she was), either that or my mother’s molester. Would blow him up in a heartbeat with no remorse.

54) You accidentally eat some radioactive vegetables. They were good, and what's even cooler is that they endow you with the super-power of your choice! What is that power? 

The power to predict the future, mainly so I could win the lottery, take care of my family and friends and help as many people as I could with my winnings. (Either that or shapeshifting)

To thank you all for reading my rants and bitchings and wailings and such, I wanted to do something unheard of and share with you a tiny clip from the song we've all been talking about, "Gothic Lolita." Before you listen to this, *PLEASE KEEP IN MIND* that this is a demo, less than a demo, it is the bare raw starter tracks for this song, scratch vocals (read: not the real ones), not real strings (this will have a fucking orchestra behind it), not real drums (the real ones will make your house shake), you get the idea. There are a whole set of uber-profound reasons why I did this which I’ll get into later (this is a two minute tea break from writing the b-section lyrics for Opheliac). ViolinX: I do own and read the EGL bibles - I discovered them first when in France with CL and she had a huge stack of them. I would go through each and every one page by page during the hours there was absolutely nothing to do, as is often the case in the studio…

Now I’ve heard a few more bands like Malice Mizer and some others I can’t remember right now;) It’s interesting because it’s SO different from our pop/rock, at least most of it…

Shy'm - Je Sais - First saw this music video when I touched down in the Charles de Gaulle airport in 2010 for my first trip overseas (a month study abroad in Strasbourg). I liked it immediately. I’m also pretty gay.

Közi - Honey Vanity - I’ve named so many iPods and phones after this song. The lyrics are kind of a mix of uplifting and depressing, but paired with the upbeat bossa nova track makes this a huge life #mood

ShrubRustle - No Healing in Wonderland - Ohhhhh my god, oh my GOD y’all. This is a medley of some The Adventure Zone music and I could listen to it all day.

Raphael - Lost Graduation - Another formative song from my high school years. I loved this band so much.

Malice Mizer - Saikai to Chi no Bara - #5 on the list but #1 in my life, I love Malice Mizer so very much, and this instrumental of theirs just hits all my favorite spots.

Blue Man Group - Rods and Cones - I saw the Blue Man Group in concert when I was 9 and immediately wanted to be one of them. Unfortunately I am very petite and not a drummer. But this song was my absolute favorite for years.

Hora - Carpe Diem - SEIZE THE DAY this song puts me in such a good mood.

Schwarz Stein - Rise to Heaven - A song of rebirth and letting go those who’ve harmed you, healing from the wounds. I don’t think I fully appreciated this song back in high school, but something held on.

Yuki Kajiura - Cyber Slum - yES I know it’s from .hack//, I’m grasping at this point of the list, but the violins are SO GOOD.

Weeping Willows - Touch Me - the video is made up of scenes from John Carpenter’s “Cigarette Burns”, and is NSFW - I must have heard this through a mix on 8tracks, as I have no idea what the band has done otherwise; but I love singing along
