Also also, both Loki and Thor can withstand the full force of the Hulk. In Avengers, Loki is smashed around and still well enough to inquire after having a drink and then mock Rogers (he still can use his powers to mimic Captain America just moments after being repeatedly slammed into the ground); also in the Avengers, the Hulk punches Thor across the room and Thor is still fine, well enough to go running into the place his brother is in before Loki yeets him out; and then in Ragnarok, Thor also gets slammed into the ground by the Hulk before unleashing his lightning powers, only losing because of the Grandmaster activating the obedience disk. I’m pretty sure no human has been shown to withstand the Hulk, and Tony had to go after the Hulk in a giant Iron Man suit in AOU, so Aesir are made of something else. I never thought of it before you mentioned it, but Thor and Loki cannot be made of flesh
Yes! Exactly!
And again, I say, my problem with this is that this idea is so incredibly interesting but the MCU has no idea what to do with it
Bc, fundamentally, the MCU is not interested in consistency and power differences and people with different skillsets approaching situations and problems differently. The MCU is here to give you a big bombastic explosion and push merch. So why bother building character stats when you can't sell character stats in an action figure?
Anyway, practical implications of the aesir not being made of meat: their food habits are different (e.g. I posit that they eat animal bones as well as animal meat; their teeth are strong enough to go through bovine bones like carrot sticks); they have a way higher base body temperature (I posit they are made of star stuff and to star stuff they do return; star temperatures are measured in kelvin lol); they are completely different in anatomy and physiology (they did not evolve, they were crafted -- they do not possess the weird little biological quirks and inherited vestigials of an imperfect evolution; their bodies are completely efficient and effective; their long lifespans are due to the stuff they are made of but also the effectiveness of their biology)
Also, not totally on topic, but bc they are crafted and not born, the more wealth and privilege one's parents have, the better the aesir body. It's the reason why Thor is the perfect aesir specimen -- his father had the best resources of an entire galaxy at his fingertips when crafting his son. There is a reason why Thor is the strongest and most beautiful of the aesir: he is the literal jewel of Asgard, the best of everything Asgard had at it's disposal
#internal thor tag#i just really like this explanation for why the royal family is so beautiful - its bc of imperialism#not some divine right of royalty to be hot and good looking -- literally just money and colonialism#which is in contrast to most 'sexy royals' tropes you find in fiction i think

The beginnings of the ragnarok/loki series xover that has decided to take over my brain is below...
---------
The chaos of the battlefield around him dwindled to nothing more than a muted play of distant actions that seemed foreign to him, almost dreamlike; as if he was watching everything happen from far away. He could hear someone scream behind him, the person’s voice so loud that the earth vibrated beneath his bare feet with such frenetic energy that Laurits swore the reverberations shook the very energy that made up his being.
Something sweet and pungent drifted across the barren valley while everything seemed to slow. There was a flash of lightning above that split the grey sky and illuminated the battle around him, the clash of swords and shouts of rage dulled when the lightning gave way to a loud crack of thunder that echoed and rippled through the valley, seeming to shake the mountains that framed the basin.
Laurits turned, his hands bright and burning at his sides, his fingers a deep green from pent up magic he’d yet to unleash. He watched, time seeming to stretch to an infinite amount of seconds before him, as Ran notched an arrow across the valley and aimed. Off to his side, somewhere in the rage of angered shouts and cries of pain, he heard Oscar scream his name. The deep timbre of the other man’s voice was shaky and lilted in concern. Laurits flexed his fingers and raised his hands in warning to Ran. The seidr that he’d worked so painstakingly hard to master interweaved around his fingers and crackled like fireworks.
Laurits was so focused on Ran that he missed when something sharp and agonizing slammed into his side and caused him to crash to the ground in a heap. He gasped, colors swirling across his vision when his head bounced off the rocky ground beneath him. Laurits groaned and blinked, the bright blue of Magne’s otherworldly eyes staring wide and unsure down at him.
“Ma-magne?” He hated how childish his voice sounded, how his brother's name rolled off his tongue in uncertainty. He could see the deep obsidian of Magne’s pupils expanding to eat away at the blue of his brother’s irises and contrasting with the ashen pallor his brother’s skin had taken on, making the cherry red of Magne’s cheeks stand out in worrisome detail.
“I… I couldn’…”
A haggard cough had Laurits reaching up to grasp his brother's shoulders when Magne’s arms buckled. “Magne?”
“I…i saved...you.”
“You’re an idiot.” The affectionate reprimand made Magne smile, his brother’s teeth stained a ruddy color that reminded him of the time he and Magne had eaten one too many cinnamon candies.
Laurits hesitantly tightened his grip on Magne’s shoulders to steady his brother, concern and ice cold fear settled uneasily in his gut as he quietly called Magne’s name once more. When his brother ignored the soft plea, he gently rolled the older boy off him and scooted to his knees. His hands hovered in uncertainty over the mess that made up his brother's side. He winced in sympathy, a section of Magne’s shirt had been burned away, the skin left charred around the edges of an angry looking wound that wept bright red and brown fluid in vigor, saturating the jeans Magne wore and smelling foul.
“I don’t know what to do Magne, Wotan wouldn’t teach me healing magic.” And he’d hated the older man for it. Odin had deemed healing magic to feminine an art, and unworthy of a male learning the finer workings of magic. Laurits now wished he had told Odin to get fucked as he turned his attention from the wound to the blood speckled face of his brother.
“H...hornns.”
Laurits frowned and leaned closer to Mange, “Horns?”
“Fe-feel it.”
“You’re not making any sense.” He shook his head and gripped the lapel of Magne’s jacket until his fingers were white and aching. “Magne, stay with me, yeah?”
He could see Magne fighting against the chilling grip of death. He watched his brother gasp tiny wisps of air while trying and failing to form words before seeming to settle and still; his otherworldly blue eyes fading. Laurits’s eyes burned at the realization that his brother had slipped from this world with little fanfare. “Y-you idiot. You self-sacrificing bumbling idiot.”
Another flash of lightning - orange this time, Laurits noted - sparked above, casting an eerie glow over Magne’s blonde hair and vacant gaze. Laurits closed his eyes; his brother wasn’t supposed to die. They had made a promise to each other that it would be different this time… Ragnarok would not be the death of everything they had worked so hard to achieve and protect. It would not be their end. He and Magne had forbidden it. And, yet... “Please, brother, please…”
Laurits curled around Magne’s chest, his own chest heaving with each heavy breath he took.
This had to be a dream.
Had to be an illusion.
Some sort of spell cast by the Jutuls to distract from the battle.
The air seemed thick and cloying, settling like a heavy blanket around him and creating an unbearable heat that gathered within him at the notion that someone would use such a cruel trick to subdue a godling. Laurits sat back on his haunches, focused on the battle of gods and giants with an odd sort of frozen numbness. His head lolled to the side, attention settling on his Stepmother who had just loosed an arrow and was in the midst of notching another. Laurits slowly stood, his mind and body a million miles away from one another and caught Ran’s attention from across the valley. His hands moved without conscious thought as seidr gathered and swelled around his fingers. He realized how easy it would be to smother the very essence that made up the giantess with the gentlest push of his will. How easy it would be to bring Ran to her knees by burning her precious waters till nothing was left but the cracked silt of the ocean floor and the floundering bodies of the creatures that lived there in their death throes.
His fingers twitched.
“Variant identified.”
The voice barely registered, Laurits was too focused on Ran to notice that someone had stepped up behind him until a hand grabbed his shoulder and forced him to turn. Laurits brought his hand up to defend himself but was stopped when the unknown woman grabbed his arm and jerked it painfully out to the side and twisted, one of her hands coming to rest against the base of his neck.
“On behalf of the Time Variance Authority, I hereby arrest you for crimes against the Sacred Timeline. You’re to come with us, Variant.”
“T-the what?” Laurits hissed as something tight settled around his neck and he was pulled up and shoved into the waiting arms of two men dressed in black armor. “Let go!”
The woman huffed and turned to another person dressed in the same strange getup, “Reset the timeline.”
“Hey!” Laurits shouted when the unknown person the woman had addressed knelt and situated a glowing tube beside the still form of Magne. “Get away from him!”
The woman turned to him with a raised brow and shook her head, dismissing him. “Let’s go!”
“Magne!” Laurits fought against the arms around him, trying and failing to reach his brother as he was pushed and pulled backwards by the men holding him, “Magne!”
He dug his heels into the ground and grunted with effort as he tried to pull away. The men holding him yanked back on him and pulled him through an oddly colored orange doorway. The last thing he saw was a wash of yellow saturating the still form of his brother and Magne melting away to the ground below.
“No!”

i’ve been thinking about the future of the mcu and realized there’s a LOT that i didn’t know/didn’t remember in terms of where things are going so i figured i’d sum it up incase anyone else was in the same boat!!
quick recap of (unresolved) mid-credit scenes:
doctor strange: mordo (a sorcerer that is one of strange’s mentors, who by the end of the movie becomes disillusioned with magic/the ancient one and quits) confronts pangborn (the paraplegic who healed himself with the mystic arts, who tells strange about mystic arts in the first place) and steals his magic because according to mordo, there are “too many sorcerers." of note, this guy is typically a villain in the comics but hasn’t been thus far...
gotg2: ayesha (leader of the sovereign, a golden skinned alien race obsessed with genetic purity), after spending most of the movie chasing the guardians for stealing some stuff, is revealed to have created an artificial being named “adam” which is presumably, adam warlock. (other stuff that is less relevant: kraglin appears to take up yondu’s mantle; the ravagers regroup and several old and obscure comic book characters are introduced [charlie-27, aleta, martinex, mainframe]; the watchers are watching things.)
far from home: j jonah jameson basically tells the whole world spider-man’s secret identity, and frames him for what happened with mysterio....making him public enemy #1. ALSO, turns out nick fury and maria hill in the movie were ACTUALLY the two skrulls from captain marvel (talos and soren) attempting to do their job, while the real fury (and presumably hill) is ... up in space on some spaceship!!!
wandavision: monica (who we can assume is photon) is called by “an old friend of [her] mother’s,” up in space, which presumably means fury, talos, or carol. ALSO, wanda sits in the middle of nowhere reading the darkhold and hears the voices of her children who.. by all accounts, should not exist.
aaaaand what we know about future movies (i’m not even going into the tv series.....):
black widow:
takes place after civil war
nat confronts a “dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past,” likely has to do with taskmaster who has apparently taken over the red room where nat was trained as an assassin
prominent new characters: yelena belova, who will take over the mantle of black widow after this; alexei shostakov aka red guardian, an ollllld marvel hero analogous to captain america except for the soviet union.
tony stark will make an appearance... SOBS
shang-chi and the legend of the ten rings:
shang-chi has never been seen in the mcu before, but he is, essentially, a superhero that is a master martial artist, and in some adaptations can also create duplicate (fake) versions of himself to confuse opponents
main villain will be the the mandarin who we have *sort of* seen before... he is the leader of a terrorist organization called “ten rings” whose main goal is to destroy world peace. brief history -- in iron man 1: one ten rings cell kidnaps tony stark and tries to force him to make weapons (he of course, makes his suit instead). stark and ten rings become enemies and fight a bunch. nat and nick fury fight them too. in iron man 3, the villain aldrich killian hires a dude to pretend to be the mandarin and claim responsibility for a bunch of stuff, but its not the ten rings or the mandarin at all. this makes the mandarin v mad and he has a dude kidnap the faker to punish him. they also briefly show up in ant-man, when a ten rings agent tries to buy the yellowjacket suit that darren cross is selling. BUT IN SHANG-CHI....... looks like we are FINALLY going to see the real mandarin after over a decade!!
the villain razor fist will also show up, he is lesser known... he has no superhuman powers but he has surgically replaced his hands (1 or 2, depending on the version) with a steel blade, and is highly skilled at hand to hand combat.
besides the presence of these characters, the only bit of plot we know is “shang-chi is drawn into the ten rings organization and forced to confront his past.” so... yeah. we don’t know much at all.
eternals:
quick explanation: the eternals are an immortal alien race who have been secretly living on earth for thousands of years. they were created by the celestials, who are most prominently in gotg2.
more entirely new characters!!! their names are: thena, who can form any weapon out of cosmic energy; gilgamesh, who can make a super strong exoskeleton out of cosmic energy; ikaris, who has superhuman strength, flies, and can project cosmic energy out his eyes; kingo, who can shoot cosmic energy projectiles from his hands; makkari, who creates sonic booms, has super speed, and is deaf; phastos, who has enhanced intelligence, and is also gay (and married with a kid!); ajak, who has healing powers; sprite, who can project illusions; sersi, who can manipulate matter; druig, who can mind control; and dane whitman (black knight), a human with a mystical sword.
regarding the plot... it seems the eternals have kind of dispersed, but have to come together again to fight the deviants, who are their “evil counterparts” (also created by the celestials, though i’m unclear on why). thena and gilgamesh have apparently been in exile, unclear why; sersi, who is posing as a museum curator, has apparently been in love with ikaris for centuries and it seems as if their love story may be central to the film; and kingo is a bollywood film star in his spare time. aaaaand that’s pretty much all we know.
directed by chloé zhao of nomadland fame!
spider-man no way home:
based on the post-credits scene in far from home, peter parker will now be known as spider-man to everyone. unclear if he’s going to be seen as a bad guy due to mysterio framing him, but i guess we’ll see!
jamie foxx is electro, and alfred molina is doctor octopus; which is VERY interesting considering they played these roles in other spider-man franchises, once again stirring up excitement for possible multiverse.
there have been *multiple* reports that andrew garfield, kirsten dunst, tobey maguire, and emma stone will be in the movie but tom holland has repeatedly denied this... so... who knows.
there are also rumors that matt murdock / daredevil (from netflix) will be in several scenes! not confirmed though.
MJ is still his girlfriend and i hope it stays that way!!
doctor strange will be featured in the movie, taking on the mentor role now that tony stark is gone :( this will be interesting as i.. haven’t really seen them interact much before. because of this inclusion some people speculate that the film may draw inspo from some comic storylines where peter’s secret identity is restored with magic.
doctor strange in the multiverse of madness:
scarlet witch is essentially co-starring!!! it’s going to be really interesting to see if they bring vision or the twins into this at all, though i’m not counting on it.
seems like mordo will be the main villain -- recall the ds1 post credits scene where he is apparently running around trying to steal people’s magic.
america chavez will make her debut!!!!!! i have no idea how this plays into anything but i am so excited!!
regarding the plot, all we really know is that strange has been researching the time stone, mordo messes with him, and this results in him accidentally unleashing “unspeakable evil.” presumably there will also be heavy involvement of the multiverse, and who knows what kind of craziness that will bring!!
initially was going to be directed by scott derrickson who did ds1; however he stepped down to being just EP due to “creative differences.” i am presuming this is because derrickson really wanted to make this more gothic and horror than disney was comfortable with. i REALLY hope they keep some of those elements though and don’t erase the idea entirely! anyway, it will be directed by sam raimi now (of evil dead and spiderman 2002 fame).
the film also reportedly ties in with the loki series (will loki show up!?) and spiderman 3 (which is obvious enough, given that strange is in that movie and those curious electro and doctor octopus castings...)
thor: love and thunder
directed by taika waititi again, hell yeah!!! and he has stated, the film will be “so over the top now in the very best way" and would make ragnarok look like a "run of the mill, very safe film" .... so.... oh god
so many great returning players!!! including.... valkyrie (now the king of new asgard), jane foster, lady sif, korg, star-lord, mantis, drax, nebula, and kraglin (takes up yondu’s mantle after he dies in gotg2)
in this movie, thor isn’t thor anymore.... it’s JANE!!! she gets cancer :( and is undergoing treatment while simultaneously being thor. i’m a little nervous how this will be handled, but i’m excited. (it’s based off an amazing comic series by jason aaron)
the big bad: gorr the god butcher, played by christian bale! the gist of it is, this dude HATES gods because nobody helped when his family was dying and in need. his weapon is “all-black the necrosword,” forged from the head of a celestial, and allows the user to create wings and fly at extreme speeds. honestly, he sounds cool as fuck.
valkyrie is going to be made canonically bisexual!!!
it will explore more of korg’s backstory, and also include... space sharks!?!?! an alien race from the comics.
taika has called the script “very romantic” so take that as you will
black panther 2
will again be directed by ryan coogler
not much is known at this point, does not have an official name
t’challa will NOT be recast (which i’m happy about) so..... honestly no idea what to expect for this one. i think we can probably expect shuri to have an expanded role. all we know so far is they will be “exploring the world of wakanda.” not clear to me how this is different from the upcoming wakanda D+ series.
tenoch huerta has reportedly been cast as a villain, but no one has any idea who. there’s also rumors that donald glover is in “informal talks” to play a role. note all of this is unconfirmed.
captain marvel 2
will be directed by nia da costa (candyman!) and written by megan mcdonnell, who is one of wandavision’s best writers!
will take place in the present day
will feature kamala khan / ms. marvel, monica rambeau / photon!!! this will be so interesting.... kamala is a huge fan of carol’s in the comics, she is her mentor/idol. the ms. marvel series will also resportedly lead into cm2. and monica, well, monica knew her when she was a little kid. wandavision implies that there’s some bad blood between carol and monica though, not sure why. maybe because carol left and never came back? (until endgame)
post-credits scene of wandavision appears to tie into this, having monica go up into space at the reqeust of her “mom’s old friend.” again, not clear who that is. this could also be a tie in to secret invasion though, so we’ll see. or both.
zawe ashton has been cast as an unknown villain... a lot of people are actually speculating that she may play rogue? which would be fascinating, as there’s a comic arc where rogue steals her powers and memories. BUT there’s still no confirmation that X-men exist in the MCU so for now i remain skeptical.
they are looking to cast a ‘john boyega’ or ‘michael b jordan’ type which makes me wonder if they are going to create a new character, a “younger” war machine to be her love interest? (note: carol and rhodey are a huge thing in comics!) carol obviously does not look her age but her and don cheadle.... that just doesn’t work. which is why i wonder.
ant-man and the wasp: quantumania
in addition to scott and hope, pretty much all the major players are returning including: luis, hank pym, janet van dyne
cassie lang has been recast with an actress 5 years older, which is really making me wonder if they are going to make her stinger in this movie! (aka one of the main young avengers)
the villain: kang the conqueror! this dude time travels. original name nate richards. in the comics, kang travels back in time to rescue his younger self (nate) from an attack that would help shape him towards a life of villainy. kang also gives him some fancy armor. his younger self actually is like, what the fuck dude? and renounces his destiny, becoming a hero. and he makes his armor look like iron man, calling himself iron lad. who is a young avenger. which also makes me wonder about cassie lang.
otherwise not much is known!
guardians of the galaxy vol. 3
james gunn is returning, i’m mixed about this...he really does *get* the guardians though.
based on the gotg2 post credits scene, i think we can assume adam warlock will be a HUGE part of this. there are multiple versions of him, some villainous and some heroic, but no idea how this is gonna turn out.
no word yet on whether thor will be involved, or if those ravagers they introduced will be involved.
fantastic four
will be directed by the spiderman guy, john watts.
otherwise we know literally nothing.
aaaaand that’s the roundup!

Always. - A LOKI finale synopsis
So I thought I could write something magical or be inspired by the Loki finale for @the-th-horniest-book-club as it's their last day of celebration.
And it hit me. I can't.
Here's what I can do: dissect this episode down to its heartbreaking ending because at the end I still have a million questions and it's gonna take a cartoon What If?, a Spiderman movie, maybe a Hawkeye show?, and a Dr. Strange movie to answer them all and I'll STILL have questions after that.
Consider for just a moment what happened to 2012 Loki when the TVA captured him way back in Episode One - what the hell did removing Loki do to the MCU timeline? Thor: The Dark World never happened. And no I don't mean you can pretend Marvel put it out there because they did, and it's one of the worst Marvel movies, there I said it. But if TWD didn't happen, what else could have been affected?
And with that disturbing thought we begin...
The opening credits HAVE AUDIO! Every tag line uttered as the characters flash on the screen, EVEN LOKI gets his "We have a Hulk" in. It is awesome; it is glorious; it is expected with EVERY Marvel creation going forward.
Loki and Sylvie should know better than to stare at a door; they always seem to open on their own when that happens. Miss Minutes pops up out of nowhere, scaring the bejesus out of 70% of people, the other 30% wanted to see her one last time. And she's not the same Miss Minutes we first met. She's edgy, she's less peppy, and she gives our duo an offer. Honestly, she should have known the result but 🤷🏻♀️
Ravonna is doing something in her office; if she's cleaning it's a piss poor job. Miss Minutes shows up and tells Ravonna she gave her what she needs. Ominous.
Back to Loki and Sylvie who finally meet "He Who Remains." Now we all know guys with names like "He Who Must Not Be Named" are bad news. Guys, to answer the question asked in the show, I'm a little disappointed. The disappointment lasts about five seconds... The office they get transported to reminds me IMMEDIATELY of a certain movie and certain buildings we've seen before (insert duh at this point because you too have seen every Marvel movie ever.)
****** Side note: anyone know if Tom takes his tea with only two sugars? No? Yes? Okay getting back to other things ******
At this point, we get back to Ravonna and her lack of cleaning when Mobius shows up with the pruner (it has to have a cooler name! side side note: nope just glowing batons) and we get a nice little flashback to Original Ravonna (maybe?)
****** 2nd side note: since when did everyone who's not a Russo brother start using OHIO for origin stories? Seriously, go watch Black Widow. I'll wait.******
Now back to Loki, Sylvie, and He Who Remains, hereto known as HWR, who pulls the same trick we saw in the first episode with the "read and sign" guy with the adorable kitten. HWR needs a kitten, a pet at the very least. "You can't get to the end until you've been changed by the journey." HWR s is winding up for a pitch and also summarizes the show too. Loki asks if it's a manipulation; HWR finds the word interesting and I do to. Here's why:
Odin manipulated Loki's abandonment to his advantage
Thanos put Loki under mind control and used him
This is the 2012 Loki as a reminder, so he hasn't been subjected to imprisonment on Asgard or the brotherly banter/squabbles he and Thor have escaping Asgard, nor “Get help” from Ragnarok so it should come as no shock that Loki looks angry. After all, Odin and Thanos kind of killed any hope in Loki of feeling wanted or needed. Aren’t father figures supposed to instill hope, instead of disgust? Yeah, I can answer that one but that’d be an entire other post.
Now we’re back to Ravonna and Mobius and they spat over who was more betrayed - news flash: it was Mobius. But Ravonna has to do for the digs. “Those variants?” “You threw it away for a couple of Lokis.” Mobius tries to reason with Ravonna, sounding exactly like Glenda and Elphaba from Wicked (his “together” is spot on Glenda!) Ravonna opens a portal looking for “free will” after giving Mobius one last beatdown.
And we’re back to Loki, Sylvie and HWR. HWR gives them a bit of his backstory; I have a suspicion he’s glossed over some of it (he admits being called a conqueror for cryin’ out loud!) He has a maniacal moment, standing on his desk, voice getting a little shrill and thin. He also admits he’s probably the saner of his variants (my words not his.) Then after his real-man-behind-the-curtain routine he makes them an offer. Take his place. Loki, who has been remarkably non verbal, asks why HWR would give up control. Good question from the guy who wants to be in control yet was meant to thrive on chaos he creates. If anyone is keeping score, questions have been asked but not a single ANSWER has been given! Sylvie isn’t believing a single word while our Loki’s wheels are turning.
****** 3rd side note: the acting has been PHENOMENAL this entire series. Forget what Marvel promised and didn’t deliver (fluid Loki) and a scene we’ll be getting to, Tom and company have been nothing short of an Emmy, which I expect next year.******
HWR finally gets fed up with Sylvie and tells her to grow up. Because she took her pruning personally. Now I’m not going to say she shouldn’t be upset about her pruning; Marvel made it A POINT of showing her playing, content on Asgard, when they took her. But HWR has a point. He’s offering an option that allows Loki and Sylvie to do whatever they feel is best and it’s the wrong time for Sylvie to get in her feelings. Of course 99% of us know that’s EXACTLY when feelings choose to surface.
Then something happens - we don’t know who or what did it. Was it Ravonna and her leaving? Did Ravonna meet someone we suspect? Was it Mobius? Miss Minutes? The agents? We may never know exactly but now HWR is actually in the dark. Mr. Know-It-All suddenly doesn’t know it all.
Sylvie thinks she has her opportunity to fulfil her quest but it’s our Loki who protects HWR. Loki doesn’t tell her she’s wrong or right, just to stop and THINK. And now we get a glimpse of 2018 Loki:
See the bigger picture
Let’s talk about it
I believe HWR
What fills the void of a dictator?
What if we unleash something worse than HWR?
Now here’s where Marvel gets an B+ in character development. They took the 2012 Loki hell bent on destroying Earth to rule it and gave him just enough growth to become the 2018 redeemed Loki ODINSON, willing to sacrifice himself to Thanos (even if he did think he wouldn’t die.) It’s not a perfect arc by any means, but Marvel got there and this is one thing I applaud.
Sylvie now thinks Loki is lying to her to get to a throne and is clearly upset they are not seeing eye to eye on this and another point to Marvel. Loki, for only seeing a few videos that Mobius showed him, still has more life experience in his SINGULAR moment with Thanos to know that there is ALWAYS something bigger, badder, WORSE around the corner and he does NOT want to make the wrong decision. Wow.
To trust or not to trust.
It’s a beautiful sword fight that HWR sits back and watches like it’s ESPN. The lighting is gorgeous behind the action and is leading up to my next OMG moment: STOP.
Loki asks Sylvie to stop, almost like a child. Like someone who knows exactly where the fight leads, where it goes, and where it ends. And he says as much to her as well. Sylvie feels like that person who just wants the fight to be over; she hunches into Tom’s space and the lighting suddenly stays green and blue. Guess who’s green? Guess who is blue?
This goes back to my Emmy mention. Even if it’s ONLY for technical work, it’s so deserving. Sylvie, in green, tired, emotional, struggling with something we aren’t supposed to know just yet. Loki, in blue, almost as if his Jotun form has taken over, strong, sensible, relatable, empathetic.
And then that damn kiss! Marvel missed another opportunity here. Two Lokis had the opportunity to show self-love, familial love, friendly love, ANYTHING BUT A DAMN KISS!!! I’m not saying they couldn’t have feelings for each other, but it NEVER has to be romantic just because it’s a guy and a girl. **dramatic sigh goes here**
Sylvie pushes Loki through a portal she has opened, then turns to stab HWR through the chest, as he predicted. HWR actually chuckles, which makes me wonder if he expected this exact turn of events. As if we’ll ever know for sure.
Of course the timeline is going nebular and we’re treated to a shot back to the TVA. Mobius and B-15 exchange words as they watch the timelines grow and grow. Loki is sitting on a couch at the TVA and decides he’s not done? You’re supposed to guess the motivation because everything seems normal at the TVA. Loki finds Mobius and B-15 and admits to everything. Loki calling HWR terrifying is terrifying all on is own. And this of course is where it ends.
The post credit scene is just a “Loki returns in Season Two.”
Guys, this season was a mixed bag. There was some good, there was some not so good; there were laughs and a couple of tears. But it also has me SO HYPED for what’s to come. More Loki, more Marvel content, more... everything, I hope!

Wolfsbane : Noblesse Fanfic (post-ending)
(previous chapter)
Chapter 62 – After the Battle
Beep. Beep. Beep.
The cadence from the machine was as steady as it could be.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Frankenstein’s heart was just as steady, its beat placid like the surface of water.
In reality, at least from Frankenstein’s standing point, for each pulse his blood was being drained away by a droplet.
He felt as if the entire room, beyond the spot he was marking with his legs, was already flooded with the red from his body.
Which he should have expected since his entrance to Lunark’s room.
The day after the destructive arrival of his body occupied by the Dark Spear to Lukedonia, Lunark was hospitalized in the Lukedonian ward, having yet to wake up.
It had been merely hours since the battle was officially closed, so it was too soon to see her waking up.
Frankenstein knew that; after all, she was against none other than the Dark Spear that had unchained itself from his command.
The Dark Spear that had absorbed Crombel and pieces of Crombel’s Blood Stone.
No one would deny that it was a life-threatening opponent, even for Lunark.
Not to mention she suffered a wound from Dark Spear, deliberately meant to kill her.
A wound that sent Frankenstein’s sanity to the nether world when he finally regained his senses.
A wound that was more critical than it should have been, for Lunark did not care about anything other than getting Frankenstein back, paying no attention to her own survival.
Lunark may be top-tiered among the current werewolf warriors, but it is not time yet for her to wake up.
Frankenstein knew and understood and accepted it in his head.
However, his heart refused to comply.
The cardiac monitor that was linked to her was signaling how she was at least stabilized, but Frankenstein felt he would die unless she provides a hint herself that she will be fine.
Which is why he could not leave her, when she was not the only patient in the chamber.
He had been receiving multiple suggestions and offers for breaks, if not treatment, from the hospital’s doctors and medical staff, Central Knights, and even few of the heads of clans.
And of course, he would not heed them at all.
Or he would answer he will not be staying long, to go ahead and stay transfixed as soon as he was left alone.
‘Looks like the story about me has spread to all corners of Lukedonia.’
Thought Frankenstein as he reckoned the next visitor.
“I anticipated you to be here. I am glad I did not waste my time walking into your own room.”
“...Please forgive me. I was supposed to keep better vigilance upon myself. The damage I caused upon your land is of no small...”
Though what happened was as far as it could be from his intention, knowing that he had caused lot of trouble – in fact, heaps of trouble – Frankenstein willingly bowed to Lascrea.
In the meantime, he was plotting whatever excuse he could yield to thwart yet another trial to send him to bed.
Alas, this time he was told incorrect.
“This is for you.”
Frankenstein blinked in puzzlement upon locking his eyes on the phone Lascrea handed.
‘Oh. Right. Tao said he prepared a phone and a couple applications for her in extension of the QuadraNet project.’
He was questioning the timing of Lascrea’s presentation of her phone when something caught his eyes.
The screen was not the sort he identified, but the interface told him it was an application with a vocal chat activated, ongoing.
And there is only one soul that is connected to Lascrea’s phone.
That moment Frankenstein could feel his throat strangling itself.
However, he knew who was waiting on the other side of the phone; not even the end of the world can serve as a reason for him to turn it down.
Thus he took Lascrea’s phone, his heart heavy like never before in the most recent times.
“...Yes, master?”
<Frankenstein. You do not sound well.>
“...Forgive me, master.”
<Forgive you...? For what?>
Frankenstein’s eardrums shriveled.
He could list in his mind more than a handful of things he should be begging forgiveness for, but for some reason he could not name any of them.
Raizel changed the topic, his previous question obviously meant to be rhetoric.
<Lascrea relayed the news. You were brought to Lukedonia, your body lost to Dark Spear, until Lunark arrived for your redemption following a blood-spilling battle. Because of which Lunark has met another battle, this time her conscious as a captive.>
Frankenstein could tell Raizel was being gracious to him on the smallest scale he could afford.
He may have put the cause behind Lunark’s blackout as an aftermath from her battle, but he would know the truth.
After all, Lascrea was one of the witnesses for Lunark’s wound, and she would have had enough knowledge to testify for Raizel how she ended up suffering the wound.
He would know that what forced her into blackout is not the aftermath of the battle; it is the one who was engaged in the battle.
<Are you all right?>
<...I’m fine, sir. Lukedonia boasts medical skills good enough to...>
<My question was posed for more than your body.>
And he knew how Frankenstein’s vessels and heart were being pulled apart every second with guilt.
He knew how Frankenstein’s nightmare came true – his hand lost the reins he had placed upon Dark Spear, waiting for a chance to prevail from within.
He knew because of which he is feeling for himself hatred like never before.
Frankenstein could still remember the moment when the dam finally started to break down. And when he woke up once it was all over.
Upon his return from the werewolf realm – rather, not long after he had finally recharged himself with wolfsbane tonic, the substance that should have kept him insomniac, he felt how a venom called sleep yanked his head with an invisible lasso towards the thick, unbreakable swamp of slumber.
He panicked, a rare occasion for him, realizing something had gone horribly wrong, but he was already swept away by the rapid current of sleep.
Without any rope or boat to save him, he fell deeper and deeper into sleep.
After who-knows-for-how-long, he was beckoned by a thin sensation from somewhere beyond his conscious as if something had shattered.
Now that he had thought about it, he was surely fast asleep back then, but he could swear he felt something shatter.
Promptly, his eyelids shot open as if under electrocution, exactly in the manner of a person miraculously dragged back by the AED from the brink of embarking on Charon’s boat.
Furiously panting from the bottommost of his lungs, he waved his head in circumspection of his surroundings.
He knew all too well what he would unleash once he is asleep, and as he feared his perimeter was nothing short from the definition of cataclysm.
And he needed not to check how he was doing.
He noticed how the soil and dirt he was thrown upon was of Lukedonian origin, and he wondered how he ended up here until his face grew cold, for he got aware a tad late of an unfamiliar weight upon his body.
He could not see the face of the one lying upside down upon his torso, but he could make out a flock of hair scattered about where his hugger’s head should be.
And he did not need to try at all to recognize the color, length, and curves of the hair.
Immediately his heart froze up, turned much colder than his face.
Soon enough he discovered a black hole rooted deep into her back, partially hidden by her hair, which filled him from head to toes with ice.
He could not recall what befell right after.
He ripped her off his body and ran with no direction or sense to coordinate him, to shriek dozen times and plead as twice as much, to ultimately reach here.
<Know I it was not your will to hurt her. She would not blame you.>
“...No. She wouldn’t.”
<But you would.>
Frankenstein’s throat grew strained at Raizel’s remark.
Just as he said, Frankenstein felt highly inclined to wrench off his own head if he could.
He wanted to drive his nails into his chest to pry out his heart.
He could not remember the last time when his heart was jeopardized every minute by miserable, violent impulse concerning what did not happen to be Raizel.
He could not stop thinking that he might make his impulse come to reality if Lunark is to never again open her eyes.
Lascrea tightened her lips, having never seen such a slick, flawless man speechless for once.
That was when she was reminded that she did not have much history with Lunark.
She did have a light clash against her and the 3rd Elder, on the day she visited Raizel to fill his life with the half of her Ragnarok.
After that, she ran into Lunark when she made her way to the werewolf realm with Kei and Rosaria, when Lunark brought Frankenstein, Muzaka, and Raizel, for them to ultimately reap away Maduke’s life.
Apart from those occasions, she could not even get to hear Lunark’s name.
So Lascrea was clueless why Frankenstein would have such a conversation with Raizel with Lunark unconscious before him.
After all, she was looking at none other than Frankenstein, which made it more challenging for her to determine the exact relation that he and Lunark would share.
With everything pushed to the side, however, she equally prayed that this werewolf warrior who was making THE Frankenstein spill out his guilt to open her eyes.
Partially because she had something she had to check with Lunark.
And she could see she was not the only one.
<It seems your heart as of now is not available for an uninterrupted, untainted reflection. For now best would it be for us to wait for Lunark to rise again. Wish I to hear that she awakens.>
“...Of course. I believe we have a discussion ahead of us.”
That was when Frankenstein and Lascrea sharpened their eyes with pregnant glare.
But the latter soon redirected the spotlight to something more important than the business they had with Lunark.
“Have no concern, Frankenstein. Cadis Etrama di Raizel. I shall help our guest and savior to rise again with body as good as new, even if it takes all of Lukedonia’s art in medicine.”
<...My gratitude, Lascrea.>
Lascrea’s phone chimed with a brief word of appreciation.
Poised were Raizel’s words, but Lascrea could detect softness as light but certain as moonlight, and her cheeks flushed like ripe tomatoes for a second.
Thankfully for her, Frankenstein was too caught in his own complicated mind to notice her blush and failed to print it in his head with his eyes.
He thereby unintentionally kept the noble lord’s dignity safe and asked, “Speaking of which, how is everything going at Korea?”
(next chapter)
Now it’s time to wrap up things that follow the battle one by one, including the relationship between Frankenstein and Lunark. Also, I’ll be highlighting all the events that have yet to be explored in this fic (especially the events mentioned in the early chapters). Which means even though the highlight of this fic is over, I still have lots of work to do. Nevertheless, I shall do my best! :D

What does it *feel* like for Bruce, sharing space with another consciousness? Does he feel like the Hulk is a part of him that has been separated/exacerbated, or does he feel like an entirely separate entity within Bruce?
Character development time! Give me some interesting questions about my character and I will answer.
This is a great question and I’m going to split it into three chunks. One, what Bruce thinks about the Hulk, and two, what Hulk is in relation to Bruce and three, how it Feels on a given day.
Massive wall of text below lmfao.
So Bruce’s views on the Hulk and their relationship changes and varies extremely over the years, so I’m going to break this into yearly chunks.
PART ONE: BANNER V HULK.
The First Two Years- Early Days and On The Run
So, in the early days, Bruce’s views on the Hulk are....really not kind. For the first two years, really up until the end of The Incredible Hulk movie, Bruce considers Hulk a foreign entity. A monster that was unleashed in the wake of the Gamma Bomb, a genie that Bruce had to actively work on keeping in the bottle. Bruce was genuinely afraid of the Hulk and did all he could to not cause a trigger. Only after being told of Hulk’s interactions with Betty and his discovery that he can ‘aim’ the Hulk, he started to somewhat see It in a different light.
Yes, It, because for a while Bruce didn’t consider the Hulk an individual.
Year Three - Avengers Days
So this is the period of time when Bruce really starts to make a concentrated effort at trying to understand the Hulk and what it-- he is. He starts to key into the fact that Hulk isn’t an entirely foreign entity, and that there is a deeper connection between the two of them. There is a part of him that suspects the DID diagnosis deep down, but he absolutely denies it and goes to the conclusion of ‘Hm, maybe it was a buried part of my subconsciousness, the Freudian ID to my Ego.’
So while Bruce no longer sees the Hulk as an altogether foreign entity, he still feels like he is merely a fragment, base thoughts and desires given green form. Something that can be kept at an arm’s length but still something he’d rather avoid. ( Hence, his aversion to Code Green.)
Year Four. - Planet Hulk
This is when shit gets complicated.
So Hulk gets sucked up through the portal and ends up in Sakaar. Initially he is still operating on survival instincts, fronting for days on end so Bruce doesn’t get hurt. But then days become weeks, weeks become months. And Hulk starts...having a kind of a life there. A life where he is not seen as The Green Monster but rather someone people cheer on, and he really likes that. So he shuts Bruce out, on purpose. Bruce, in the aftermath of AoU and being forced to go on a rampage, is emotionally shut down, so he doesn’t put up much of a ‘fight’, as it were. And as a result Hulk remains Hulked out for a whole year until Thor comes and manages to switch him back to Banner. (In my canon it’s not a recording of Nat but probably a recording or a picture of Betty or something along those lines.)
However, once Bruce comes to and realizes what has happened, he can no longer deny that Hulk is a person wholly his own and not merely a fragment. After Sakaar, Bruce has to admit to himself that he has some form of an identity disorder.
Year Five - Just A Man and his Green Friend
They get back on Earth, and at this point Hulk is no longer operating on childlike survival instincts, he is fully cognizant and has a full vocabulary. Both of them have a somewhat contentious relationship because Bruce is back to being afraid and apprehensive of the Hulk, so he’d rather avoid a full transformation. But he now recognizes Hulk is not a Thing he can ignore now, so they are attempting to communicate and reach some form of common ground.
PART TWO: WHAT IS A HULK ANYWAY?
Though Bruce tried his best to deny it, Hulk is absolutely a separate individual within Bruce’s mind. He was ‘created’, as you will, during Bruce’s childhood, when his young brain couldn’t handle the verbal and physical abuse at the hands of Brian and function as a normal kid so his brain created a separate individual who could endure the blows, someone who could take in all of Bruce’s rage and anger and fear and hold onto it for him. Once Brian was institutionalized and was no longer a factor in Bruce’s mind, this personality went dormant.
Until the Gamma Bomb.
So up until the Avengers, a.k.a. when Bruce made the conscious effort to ‘reach out’ to the Hulk, every time he surfaced, he existed within the moment of trauma, of being caught up in all the anger and fear and thus living in a state of perpetual Fight or Flight. This is why the Hulk we see in the early days have the vocabulary of a child and exists purely on instinctual reactions. Once he gets to Sakaar and he has the opportunity to calm down and exist outside the moment of trauma, the actual personality buried underneath all the emotions start to come out, and he becomes more verbal and has a more extensive vocabulary. (It’s not babyfied like Ragnarok, but he nevertheless likes to stick to short and to the point sentences). He is still a being of emotion and will revert back to that anger and rage when sufficiently distressed, but he is more cognizant overall.
I do want to make a point to say that even though Hulk can be really annoyed by Bruce and his attitude towards him, he is ultimately there to protect Bruce from harm and be the Caring Grown Up figure he never had. But there is also that push and pull of wanting to have his own life but also being part of Bruce and sharing the body. So it’s a complicated issue they have to get through. (Is integration into one cohesive mind possible? Sure, but they have a LOT of work to do before they can get anywhere near it. And whether or not they want to integrate into one mind is a different question entirely. The fact that Endagme did all this off-screen pisses me off to no end.)
Another point I want to make is comics delve into Bruce’s DID way more than I am. There is a massive sprawling system of alters within comic Bruce’s system (Joe Fixit Hulk is the Teenager Bruce never got to be, Savage / Childish Hulk is the repressed rage, Devil Hulk is the Protective Father etc. There are literally hundreds of Hulk alters.) I am very much compositing Savage Hulk and Devil Hulk into one figure and making him the only alter in the system for convenience’s sake and to make Hulk a more defined character rather than the mess of trauma and psychological issues that he is in the comics. (Of all the alters Joe has the most probability of making it to the blog eventually but not anytime soon.)
PART THREE - WHAT IT FEELS LIKE
The analogy I’ve grown attached to is the imagery of a door. All the abuse Bruce endured and the memories and the pain got put inside The Room Behind That Door, and Hulk was inside keeping it all locked in. The door was always there, but beyond Bruce’s ‘gaze’. When the Gamma Bomb went off, the door became ajar and Hulk was out. In the first two years, when Bruce has not much of an understanding of the Hulk, he feels like a ticking time bomb, like a dynamite with its fuse lit that’s going to go off at any moment. In year three, once he has more of an understanding, he starts becoming more cognizant of the proverbial door and starts getting more of a ‘feel’ of it, like a subtle pressure at the base of his skull. Year Four, the roles are reversed and Bruce is the one locked behind the door, but Hulk is fully cognizant of the fact and is actively keeping it locked until he Can’t. Year Five, aka the Current Status Quo, Bruce feels the Hulk as that pressure at the back of his skull that intensifies if he is feeling some kind of way. Sometimes, more often than not really, he will see the Hulk as his reflection instead of his ‘own’ face. They are also becoming more prone to ‘talking’ in the Inner World should they need to communicate, but Hulk usually prefers to give Bruce a ‘sense’ rather than a full blown conversation.
God this has been a wall of text I hope this makes sense and answers the question lmao.
#beckybxrnes#; I've got so many questions ( ask )#gosh this is SUCH a good question thank you so much#; the mind can go in a thousand directions. with each step the wind blows. with each step a flower blooms. ( headcanon. )#; this shaking keeps me steady I should know. what falls away is always and is near. I wake to sleep and take my waking slow. ( about. )#this got LONG#I have a lot of scattered thoughts about it so this really helped pool it all in one place

Lasabrjotr Chapter 67: Cauldron of Despair
Chapters: 67/?
Fandom: Thor (Movies), Marvel Cinematic Universe
Rating: Mature Warnings:
Relationships: Loki x Reader (There We Go)
Characters: Loki (Marvel), Thor (Marvel)
Additional Tags: Post-Endgame: Best Possible Ending (Canon-Divergent), Loki Has A Bad Time, But Like, Dude Did Some Bad Shit
Summary: It’s easy to forget what he did.
Thor circled the Frost Giant's corpse trying to decide what to do about it.
“Well. This is a mess.” He said, staring down into his brother's azure face. “And I'm not just talking about body cleanup.”
“She doesn't listen!” Loki seethed. “Why does she always go headlong into danger; does she not realize what it does to me? I have never run so fast in my life!”
“Mortal women seem blessed with an excess of virtues.” Thor shrugged. “Curiosity, courage, and responsibility among them. Jane was no different. You remember.”
“I do. I also remember that she managed to avoid getting badly hurt, because she knew how to run and hide!”
“Perhaps. But she also-”
“Norns, I don't care! Get this thing off me, you great oaf!”
“Temper, temper.” Thor chided, rolling the body over with his boot. “You're so angry, you've gone blue in the face.”
“I will kill you.” Loki snarled, squirming free.
“You were certainly insistent that she not see you. Still keeping that secret?”
“Shut up. We have to get this cleaned up. We have to assess the damage, and we have to check the tunnels for more. How did it get here? Is it a relic from the old war? How many are down there?”
“I will go check.” Thor volunteered. “You should go to the healing wing and try to calm things down. No doubt it's a little hectic there right now.”
Loki nodded, waiting the few moments it took to regain his milky complexion, then the brothers parted ways for opposite sides of the palace complex.
*****
“So he was frozen in here? Like some kind of cell?” Thor glanced around the scintillating bubble in the ice. There was a large slot in one wall, where the giant had presumably been sleeping. There were objects strewn about, covered in ice, that to Thor, looked like they could be a Frost Giant's version of a soldier's mess kit.
Thor knew that no humans had been down in these tunnels. The government of Iceland hadn't even known they were there. This Jotun must have been here for a very long time, sleeping in the ice. Perhaps a trapped soldier, perhaps a lost traveler.
His journey was over now. It was actually rather unfortunate, Thor mused. Even though they had invaded and killed many humans, a Frost Giant could do much good on Earth now. They could generate ice at will. On a world where important glaciers were rapidly disappearing, a Frost Giant ally could be quite successful.
How frightened he must have been, to wake up suddenly, alone, not knowing how many years had passed. Still in the mindset of a war that had long ended, surrounded by enemies. Everywhere he ran, more enemies, more unfamiliar surroundings, more fear and desperation.
Yes, he had killed people on his rampage, and yes, Thor had killed him. But, as a warrior, Thor sympathized. This was tragic, all around.
“We need to clean this area out.” He said. “Gather and clean all of these objects. Do not proceed with digging unless accompanied by einherjar. We won't know if there are more until I bring Heimdall down here.”
“What shall we do if there are more, my king?” One of the clean up crew asked.
“We dig them out.” Thor said. “Slowly. Under my supervision.”
“Could we not just...leave them there?” One ventured. “Stop digging and leave them encased in ice?”
“The climate on this world is changing.” Thor explained to him. “There is a strong possibility that the ice will melt no matter what we do, and free them anyway. Best to do it under close watch, where they can be subdued, and their situation explained to them.”
“Mercy, my king?”
“It is a new age, and we are a people reborn.” Thor proclaimed. “We can try doing things in a new way.”
*****
“She will be fine.” Bjarkhild assured Loki. “It turns out that our Blood Burn remedies are very effective on mortals. She will have sore spots on her arm for a few days, no more.”
“And Kolla?” Loki asked.
“Two broken ribs, a broken wrist, and a broken nose. She will have to stay under a Soul Forge for a week or so, but is expected to make a full recovery.”
“Very good. The messenger lad?”
Bjarkhild sighed deeply. “He will lose the arm. A terrible shame, but the damage was just too great. Perhaps if he had stayed laying down when he was hit, but pushing himself to go find you...”
Loki sat silent for a moment.
“We will Retire him.” He said finally. “It's the best we can do for him now. I will draw up the papers, if you will sign them.”
“Yes, your Highness.” Bjarkhild agreed.
Asgard loved it's heroes, and provided for them, whether military or civilian. A soldier had a pension, guaranteed care for if they were grievously injured during noble battle. A civilian, however, wasn't expected to put themselves in harm's way. For those that did, and suffered for it, there was the institution of Retirement. All of his needs would be taken care of; he would never be without food, home, quality clothing, or respect.
Bjarkhild was right. The messenger's arm might have been saved, had he simply lay still and waited for medics to come to him. But instead, he had found Loki, to warn him of the danger, which gave him the head start needed to reach you in time. This was a heroic act on par with any einherjar.
One day, they would have their technology up and running at the capacity Old Asgard once had. And if the man wanted it, a nearly seamless prosthetic could be offered. But Asgardians tended to cherish their battle wounds, which was why Odin never got an mechanical eye, and great-uncle Tyr never replaced his hand. They could have, of course, but they had earned those wounds in the defense of Asgard. It was a matter of personal pride.
“Shall I have you notified when I release her, or should I just send her to you?” Bjarkhild asked.
“Send her to me.” Loki said. “You need all your people here. How many are...”
“Beyond my help?” Bjarkhild finished. “Six. The other ten are in various stages of injury, but expected to pull through.”
Loki nodded solemnly. Six of their all-too-rare people.
He left the healing wing, noticing Gloa hovering anxiously in the corridor outside. He approached, and took her by the arm.
“Gloa, I want to thank you for-”
She whirled with a startled cry, and struck him across the face.
Loki quickly stamped down the stab of rage within him, watching the emotions fly across her features: Shock, realization, acceptance, and finally ownership over what she had just done. She jerked herself out of his grasp.
“Don't just grab me!” She snapped. “I don't care who you are, you don't have permission to lay hands on me whenever you want!”
“Gloa...” He growled.
“Don't talk to me right now. Not when your filthy kind has robbed me of yet another person I love!”
Loki flinched. Gloa's family had not come through Ragnarok whole. He knew she blamed him for it, for unleashing Surtr, and he didn't know how to explain that it had been Thor's idea without seeming like he was just passing the blame.
“Gloa, your father and uncle were brave warriors, and we honor them-”
“My father and uncle were heroes, and they died saving the people of Asgard!” Gloa interrupted. “I am satisfied for them. They rest in Valhalla with all those who died well.”
“Then why do you blame me?” He demanded.
“Not for them! For my brother!”
“Your brother?”
“You don't even remember. My brother was chosen as a guard in the Allfather's vault. We were all so proud.” Gloa scoffed bitterly. “The eve of Thor's coronation-the first one-he was guarding the Cask of Ancient Winters. He was murdered by invading Frost Giants, who sneaked in to steal it.”
And just like that Loki's throat closed, a fist of guilt squeezing his heart.
“I know it was you who let them in.” Gloa accused, tears rimming her eyes. “Maybe you didn't directly admit to it in that horrendous, self-aggrandizing play you had written about yourself, but I could read between the lines. The sick justification for your actions- all because you had decided that Thor was unfit to rule! That he didn't think things through, and he would get us killed through his bad decisions. But how are you any different? You were perfectly willing to sacrifice Asgardian lives-the very lives you claimed to have been trying to protect-for your own agenda! And it got you nothing! You shattered my family for nothing!”
Speechless, Loki stepped back under the sheer unexpected force of the tirade. What could he possibly say?
“You wanted to thank me for standing next to your little pet project? Pah! She is feeble, and brief, and weak, but she's not a coward, and she actually stood for our children. She may not be worth much, but she is still too good for you.”
Gloa stomped away, furious tears streaming down her face, leaving Loki stunned.
*****
Thor gazed over the objects arranged on the table before him. All the scattered debris from the frozen cave, cleaned and brought to him for observation. These definitely made up a soldier's mess kit, and perhaps a higher class soldier, if the quality of the items we an indication. There were dishes and cutlery, hewn from bone and ivory, carved with foreign designs-Frost Giant art. There was decayed leather bedding and bags, waterskins, and a pack for rations that had long since rotted away.
And, untouched in the ice near where the giant had slumbered, a diary. Velum and ink from the strange sea creatures of Jotunheim, bound in leather, with ivory plates, it was a precious artifact from a thousand years before.
Thor picked up a page turning stick and very carefully opened the book. The ink that the Frost giants extracted from their oceanic beasts was thick, so thick that it raised slightly from the pages, making the letters look carved, rather than written.
Thor was not familiar with Frost Giant writing; until recently, he would not have thought they were literate at all. He had to wonder if examples of Frost Giant writing had been more common before their defeat at the hands of Asgard's armies, before the claiming of the Casket. What kind of dark age had that defeat plunged them into?
As Thor gazed at the unfamiliar runes, they resolved themselves in his mind into something he understood as if he had been raised on it; it was simply automatic. He read a few pages, absorbing what they revealed, until he realized that he could, in good conscience, read no more. This was meant for someone else.
This was meant for Loki.
*****
Consequence. Every action set off a chain of events that never ended. Loki would never get the chance to be a good man again, because the fallout of his deeds would stretch out into forever. He would never actually be able to make amends. He could not restore Gloa's brother to life. All of eternity would pass without him. Without her brother, and without the other guard. He hadn't even considered their lives while he schemed. Hadn't known their names, nor attended their funerals. They really had just been a means to an end for him, acceptable casualties.
And he had considered himself more concerned with the safety of Asgard than Thor had been. What a fool! He had been exactly the same as his brother, only more secretive about it. Moreover, Thor's actions regarding Jotunheim, while irresponsible, had not actually cost any Asgardian lives. But Loki's actions regarding Thor's irresponsibility had. In a way, Loki had tried to play father to Thor, but he wasn't a father yet, and had failed in all of the ways he had blamed Odin for failing. And Asgard was poorer for his actions: Families shattered, people bereaved, grief and emptiness that would flow on until time ended.
Perhaps Gloa had been right all along. Perhaps he simply was the actual worst, undeserving of the happiness he had attained. Unworthy of you.
Certainly you had never done anything to endanger your world, or any others. You only had one murder under your belt, and it was not only self defense, but it had also been erased by the great reality reset. You were practically innocent. What had he actually done to earn your love?
All he had done was kidnap you and destroy your life. Take you away from your home and family, and force you into a new life and career, been rude, frightened you, kept secrets. Was still keeping secrets.
He shouldn't have yelled at you. He had been overwhelmed by fear, and adrenaline, the fog of war, but he still didn't have to yell. He had acted like an ogre to one of the few people who loved him.
His dazed wandering had brought him back to his only place of real safety; his bedroom, the black sheepsking rug in front of the faux fire. The place where he held you. He needed to hold you.
He ached for you. For your warm embrace, the comfort of you. Bjarkhild had said you would be released soon, mostly unharmed. He waited, wallowing in his torment.
He shot up to his knees the instant he heard you enter the chambers, hope suffusing him. He heard the door to your little room open and close, then nothing else.
His heart split and sank down, as he laid down flat on the rug.

“Congratulations,” Miss Militia said. “I heard you brought in Lung earlier tonight.”
Something that was equal parts exasperation and annoyance flashed across Armsmaster’s face before his expression settled into a frown. “Technically, I did. However, the specifics leave something to be desired.”
“Oh?”
“I brought Lung in… after he had already been incapacitated.”
That… was not something Miss Militia had been informed about. “I see.”
Armsmaster sat down in front of a monitor and gestured for her to join him. He was not the most socially graceful person, but she’d known him for years. Social awkwardness aside, he was a good man and a reliable teammate. She’d trusted him with her life many times, and he’d yet to let her down. “I want you to review the footage with me. I will be going over it with the director later, but I would prefer a second opinion before I meet with her.”
“Of course.” It was no secret that Armsmaster and the director did not always get along, but they generally managed to put their differences aside for the good of the city. Still, Armsmaster wouldn’t be who he was without wanting to prepare as much as possible for the meeting. “Is there anything in particular you’d like me to focus on?”
“The footage we’re about to review was pulled from multiple street cameras and storefront surveillance cameras. What I’d like you to focus on is the cape fighting Lung. She only appeared relatively recently, and she has given her name as Huntress.”
“All right.” Miss Militia had heard of Huntress. She’d dealt with more than a dozen relatively minor crimes. From what the reports had said, she had incapacitated the criminals she’d target too quickly for them to react. That meant she was either skilled, experienced, or powerful, possibly all three.
As the footage began to play, Miss Militia was immediately struck by the ease and grace of Huntress as she arrived to intercept Lung. Her costume was mostly made up of blue armour with a strange symbol on the front and a mask that covered her entire face.
The armour was fairly light, including greaves, bracers, and the like. As far as she could tell it wasn’t power armour of anything of the sort, but Huntress’s movements were nevertheless completed unimpeded by it as she leapt off a rooftop and landed on the street below. Based on the height of the jump - three storeys - and how easily she landed, she would definitely qualify for some sort of brute and/or mover rating.
Most people would have been trembling at the sight of a fifteen-foot-tall Lung stomping down the street, but Huntress held herself in a manner that screamed experience and professionalism. This was not some rookie cape getting her bearings. This was someone who was already well used to combat and life-or-death situations.
As Lung rumbled closer, the cape continued to simply watch him advance. At the last moment, when Lung lunged forward, Huntress finally moved. It was almost beautiful. Miss Militia had faced Lung before. It had been like fighting a force of nature. The raw heat, power, and rage he emanated were stifling. Yet huntress bobbed and weaved from the storm of blows he unleashed, seemingly unbothered by the heat, always one step ahead as attack after attack went wide.
She was testing him, Miss Militia thought. That was what it looked like. It was as though Huntress wanted to know just how fast and agile Lung was. A stray blow ripped a gash in the street, and Huntress flipped away and landed atop a street light, perfectly balanced on the length of metal. Lung responded by unleashing a blast of fire that melted the street light, but Huntress had already jumped away. Back on the street, the female cape lifted one hand… and then waved Lung forward.
The roar of rage Lung loosed shook the street, and he sprang, claws extended - only to go rocketing down the street like a silver meteor. He tumbled end over end, leaving a long stretch of burnt, ripped up concrete in his wake. Miss Militia’s eyes widened as Huntress slowly lowered the arm she’d used to punch Lung.
That was unexpected, a brute rating was definitely called for, possibly a striker rating too, depending on how exactly the attack had worked. It was difficult to be sure since the punch had been delivered too fast for any of the cameras to actually catch it on film.
Her lips firmed into a thin line. At the very least, Huntress would like qualify as a Brute/Mover/Thinker due to the way she’d handled herself in the battle so far. If she was a Striker as well…
The footage shifted to Lung. The punch had pulped his entire chest cavity. It was the most damage that Miss Militia had ever seen him take at this size. As Lung struggled to rise, what looked to be the pole of a parking sign speared through his throat and pinned him to the ground. He immediately went still, and Miss Militia turned to Armsmaster.
“Huntress got the pole by kicking it out of the ground before throwing it from a distance of roughly a hundred yards. The pole severed his spinal cord.”
Miss Militia frowned. A hundred yards? Given the size of Lung’s spinal cord, hitting it from that distance with a firearm would have been a difficult shot for most people. Of course, she could have done it with ease, but doing it with a makeshift spear that she’d never handled before? There was no way she’d be able to do it. She doubted even Armsmaster could do it with assistance from his armour’s systems. And the use of the pole was interesting as well. Lung might be able to regenerate from a severed spinal cord, but could he regenerate it if there was a pole stuck in the way? Moreover, with his spinal cord severed and his regeneration taxed by the damage to his chest, there was no way for him to move his limbs to remove the obstruction.
“I arrived shortly after,” Armsmaster concluded. “But Huntress had already left the scene.” He stopped the footage. “What do you think of her?”
“Extremely skilled,” Miss Militia began. “She is definitely a brute of some kind, and I’d give her ratings as a mover and thinker as well. However, I strongly suspect that she had training and experience prior to getting her powers. It’s the way she carries herself, and the way she used the pole. She’s used to fighting, and I bet she has fought a regenerator before. I might give her a striker rating too. That punch she landed did way more damage than it should have even if she is a brute of some kind.”
“I mostly agree,” Armsmaster replied. “Especially with your thoughts on her experience. Until now, she has only dealt with low levels crimes, yet we have not had a single report of any serious injuries from people she has apprehended.”
“That speaks of great control… something you don’t find in new capes,” Miss Militia said. “And many of the injuries the criminals did sustain are consistent with techniques used by law enforcement to restrain and incapacitate people.”
“However, her fight against Lung suggests that she has the ability to seamlessly switch to a different mode of operation when necessary. It also shows how much she has been holding back.”
“Yes. If she hit a normal gang member with a punch like that, we’d be hard-pressed to scrape anything off the pavement.”
“I am going to recommend approaching her peacefully,” Armsmaster said. “She has demonstrated heroic behaviour so far, and the Protectorate could use someone competent and powerful.”
Miss Militia nodded. “We’ve got more than enough criminals to deal with as it is.” She grinned. “Will you be showing this to the Wards?”
“Yes. It might do them some good to see what proper technique and training can accomplish.”

Author’s Notes
This time around, Taylor has a big advantage. Not only is Aura absurd but she has also cut her teeth fighting a far, far, far more dangerous regenerator than Lung. I mean, yeah, Lung fought Leviathan for a while and came out mostly even before Kyushu sank, but Ragnarok is another kettle of fish.
Ragnarok would probably just eat Leviathan before complaining about the taste.
Having access to both Diana and Fang (and later Victoria) means that Taylor knows exactly how to fight regenerators. Against Lung, she used Aura Surging to land a single massive strike that completely pulped his entire chest cavity. Even with his regeneration, that’s not something Lung can laugh off. Using the pole to sever his spinal cord while he was still incapacitated was a way to basically end the fight without having to kill him or escalate further, especially since she did know that Armsmaster was nearby.
Going by the power classification system, Taylor would be a Brute/Mover/Striker/Thinker. However, all of these powers are basically because of Aura. When her Semblance is active, she would gain a Master classification because she can create and control minions.

/post/184221536620/i-hate-the-russo-brothers-i-hate-the-russo why do u hate the russo bros ??
i posted that after seeing the endgame spoilers that came out after the world premiere last week, and while i regret and am apologizing for saying bad things about the movie before seeing it, i stand by this post because i really have not liked them post catws. the short answer to this question is that it really seems like they don’t care about what happened with their characters in the movies preceding theirs and ruin a lot of the really good characterization other directors had. plus they have very much contributed to the poor treatment of female characters but that’s kind of an mcu staple. it really seems like for every one good thing the russos do, they do about ten more bad things.
the long answer to this question is going under the cut because i am 100% going to rant and i am sorry but this is really gonna get into my unpopular marvel opinions and it will include endgame spoilers (they will be marked though). read at your own risk, i will try to warn if there is any “anti” characters or something.
examples of how they ruin the characterizations other directors set in place:
wanda. look i’m just gonna say it now i don’t care for mcu wanda (even without discussing her whitewashing) so if you don’t want to read something written by someone who doesn’t like her, skip this bullet point … in age of ultron, wanda WAS WILLINGLY WORKING FOR A NAZI ORGANIZATION AND UNLEASHED THE HULK ON AN INNOCENT CITY AND PUT THINGS IN TONY’S HEAD THAT LED HIM TO CREATE ULTRON. in age of ultron though, it was fairly clear that the avengers didn’t fully trust wanda and pietro when they “switched sides” but immediately in civil war, the russos wrote it as if none of that happened. i would like mcu wanda so much more if she was given a real redemption arc, like loki in ragnarok, letting her answer for the things she previously did and proving that she is trustworthy and a true ally. the avengers immediately pardoned her, so much that it wasn’t even talked about clint is exempt because pietro saved his life and a child’s life and thus felt responsible for wanda because the russos just really want to get the brownie points for including a female hero that isn’t black widow
tony in civil war. they made it pretty obvious that tony was supposed to be an antagonist or at least someone you should root against. whether you were team cap or team iron man or you didn’t care because it was so stupid the movie was written pretty clearly to favor team cap and make tony look awful … even though he had a perfectly valid and reasonable argument for signing the sokovia accords … i mean they really do need to be held accountable for all of the destruction they cause. and yeah i agreed with cap too because they shouldn’t relinquish all control to the government, but the russos wrote it so that tony looked like the bad guy, when he really reallyyyyyy wasn’t
thor. poor, poor, beautiful thor. in ragnarok, thor went through a major character arc that allowed him to see that he is more than just the person who can wield mjolnir because he has had the power and strength to be a hero within him all along, then BAM russos say screw that in infinity war and make him go off on this whole mission that really was a waste of time to get a weapon that he doesn’t need to defeat thanos. yeah i’ll admit storm breaker is cool and i love that he got to build a relationship with rocket and kind of groot but it is just so unnecessary when they could have done something different to build that relationship, but it literally says fuck taika’s storyline for thor.
loki. in the first five minutes of infinity war they kill him off in the most un-loki-like way possible. taika did so much for the characters in ragnarok, giving loki a true redemption arc and adding valkyrie to the mcu as a strong and important character, but do the russos care about any of that? NOOOOOOOO.
ENGAME SPOILERS START HERE.
so they ruined steve. i am not accepting his ending. it really just is not him, because as we have seen from the past six movies, he will pretty much do anything for bucky. ANYTHING. and i know he loves peggy, peggy was the love of his life except bucky but marvel is full of cowards but he moved on from her, and she moved on from him. i mean agent carter was about peggy proving herself as more than just captain america’s girlfriend, and steve going back in time to be with peggy erases all of the character development peggy went through as well. honestly, i think the russo brothers did that because they knew people would likely be more upset with steve dying than tony dying (maybe i’m wrong, but just of all the marvel fans i know irl, they like steve more than tony. for the record, i would have been equally sad with either of their deaths because i love them both) and the russo brothers are fully aware of how big the stucky ship is, and this was their way of saying “hey, guess what? we didn’t kill steve and he is hetero, and there was Nothing There with bucky”. they made steve just reinsert himself into peggy’s life, when he KNEW she was happy without him and peggy had no choice in it.
and as if they didnt do enough to thor in infinity war, they screwed him over EVEN MORE in endgame by making his only purpose to supply lazy fat jokes. there were so many other ways they could have depicted his depression, SO MANY WAYS, but they chose the lazy route of putting hemsworth in a fat suit and making fun of fat people the entire movie.
i can admit that they wrote carol well … but only when she was actually in the movie. i mean what she was there for maybe eight minutes?
and of course the lgbtq character was fucking joe russo as a glorified extra. queerbaiting that it was carol, thanks russos
ENDGAME SPOILERS END.
i really feel like i do need to clarify that i do love marvel and the mcu, and most of these characters just mean so much to me, but the way they are written and done dirty by the russo brothers when they were given such great developments before just ruin so much of it. and the russos actually do some great things, like as i said the rocket/groot/thor team up was awesome in infinity war, just what they were doing with said team up was undoing taika’s beautiful movie. the best way i can describe the russos is that they do one good thing for every ten bad things, and that’s that on that.
#im sorry if you dont like this#but asking me why i hate the russos is a LOADED question#anon#answered#endgame spoilers

Movie Synopsis & Review: Why "Thor: Ragnarok" is the Best MCU Movie
Taika Waititi's "Thor Ragnarok" feels more like an homage to 2014's "Guardian's of the Galaxy" than a sequel to the dark, dull 2-and-a-half hour bathroom break that was "Thor: The Dark World" It performs the balancing act of comedy and action that recent MCU additions try to accomplish with flair and excitement. PLOT SYNOPSIS The story begins with a bang as we see Thor lying captured in a crate, having failed in his quest to find Infinity Stones. Thor escapes to find Surtur, a mythical creature which threatens to destroy Asgard, in an event known as Ragnarok (hence the title). Thor then steals Surtur's helmet, the key to Ragnarok before defaeting an army of Surtur's minions whilst "Immigrant Song" blares in the background. This scene perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the movie, and sends us a message. "Thor: Ragnarok" exists to redeem Thor. Thor's brother Loki is revealed to be alive once he returns to Asgard, and it turns out he had been disguising himself as Odin, yet Odin is in fact on Earth. Thor and Loki return to Earth and, after an encounter with Doctor Strange, travel to their father in Norway and catch him in his dying moments. After the tragic death of his father, it is revealed that the Odinsons have a sister, this movies main antagonist, Hela, Goddess of Death. Hela crushes Mjoilnir with little effort, before instantly going to Asgard. Thor winds up in space on a what resembles a floating garbage dump when he is attacked by a dangerous group who intend to eat him. Thor is, however, saved by a bounty hunter, Valkyrie. He thanks her, but she electrocutes him and kidnaps him. Thor is taken to Sakaar, where we are introduced to the Grandmaster. He runs gladiator fights on his plant, and after buying Thor from Valkyrae, throws him into a dungeon to await his fight against "The Champion" Meanwhile, on Asgard, Hela restores her undead army so she can conquer all the realms. Yet this turns out to be impossible as Heimdall is hiding with the Bifrost sword. Thor is thrown in to the arena to fight the champion, who turns out to be none other than the Incredible Hulk. After fighting for a while, Thor looks like he is about to die, until his new powerful thunder powers appear. He is about to defeat Hulk until the shocker in his neck stops him. Back on Asgard, Hela is about to execute a woman as no Asgardians will reveal Heimdal's location until one man steps up, endangering his fellow Asgardians yet saving the woman. After Thor speaks to Hulk, Hulk tells of the Quinjet that is on the planet, and so Thor begins to plan his escape. After learning that Valkyrie is also Asgardian, he fails to convince both her and Hulk to join him on his quest to stop Hela. Thor manages to remove the device from his neck before rushing to the Quinjet. Hulk follows him, destroying the Quinjet, but sees a video of Black Widow, which calms him down and for the first time in two years, he turns back in to Bruce Banner. Thor explains to Banner their current situation whilst the Grandmaster hires Loki and Valkyrie to hunt for his missing prisoner Thor. Loki forces Valkyrie to remember her past fight against Hela and forces her to have a change of heart. So, Valkyrie, Banner and Thor all form a plan to escape. Thor manages to steal a ship, despite Loki's efforts, and he escapes alongside his fellow "Revengers" Reaching Asgard just as Hela is about to destroy the remaining population who had attempted to escape through the Bifrost Bridge, Thor engages her in a vicious battle but is still overpowered and loses an eye. Feeling he is useless without his hammer, Thor has a vision of Odin who explains to his son that the hammer simply channeled his powers reminding him he is the God of Thunder. Odin also tells him that anywhere can be Asgard, as long as its people survive so will the society. Now realizing his full abilities, Thor unleashes a massive lightning bolt sending Hela flying. . Thor unites with Valkyrie and Loki knowing Hela will soon be back as she is only growing stronger from Asgard's power. Thor suddenly realizes that he cannot stop Ragnarok but must instead bring it about, and sends Loki down to the vaults to throw Surtur's skull into the living flame. Loki does so and escapes just as Surtur is reborn and starts laying waste to the realm as well as presumably killing Hela. Thor escapes with Loki, Hulk, Heimdall, Valkyrie, and his fellow Asgardians just before Asgard is completely decimated. Although Thor is upset about the destruction of his home, he knows that he had to do it to prevent the extinction of his people. He then finally meets his destiny and takes the 'throne' (really, the captain's chair on the bridge) where his first order is to return to Earth. CHARACTERS Thor Odinson: Chris Hemsworth delivers his best performance as the God of Thunder yet. He changed his Shakespearean-esque personality and tone, and mad Thor much more human. Thor has awkward moments, cracks jokes and is cocky when he wants to be. He is now one of the most powerful characters in the MCU, even without his hammer, and will be a formidable threat to anyone who crosses his path. Taika Waititi and Chris Hemsworth achieved the impossible; they not only redeemed Thor, but they made him one of the best characters in the entirety of the MCU's roster. Bruce Banner/Hulk: Mark Ruffalo's Hulk changed massively since his last appearance, mainly he has the ability to speak in cohesive sentences. Hulk inspired the Sakaar act with his hugely popular comic Planet Hulk. Hulk was still a well liked character before this movie, but t=audiences stock has definitely risen in the character thanks to Ragnarok. This movie also gives him a brand new arc that is introduced in the middle of the movie and is wrapped up neatly by the end, being Banner's resistance to transforming in to the Hulk. Hulk may seem like compsonic relief, but he is so much more than that in this movie. Hulk shows passion, anger and sadness. Hulk has substance, he has more than "Hulk Smash!" Valkyrie: And wrapping up the Revengers is the badass booze-hag played by Tessa Thompson, "Valkrie" Valkyrie is a bounty hunter for the Grandmaster, and is actually a brand new character. She is played excellently by Thompson, who encapsulates her sarcastic personality very well, yet Valkyrie doesn't have much of an arc apart from wanting revenge, and that's not all. Her personality also fails to have more features than the previously mentioned ones, assuming you don't include "alcoholic" as a trait. Despite this, Thompson has some hilarious lines and plays an important role in the movie. Thompson puts in a great performance as the Asgardian. Hela: Emo Cate Blanchet is one of the most deathly “Big-Bads“ in the MCU and she certainly acts it, but more importantly she hits all the criteria for an excellent villain. Firstly, she’s evil. That’s a given. Secondly, she’s extremely powerful. Thirdly, She has aplan with catastrophic results. Fourthly, she’s personally close with our main protagonist. Fifthly, she has a coherent motive. She has a right to the throne. And finally, she improves our hero, makes him stronger as a result of fighting her. She humbles Thor, which, once again, humanizes him. Korg: Played by Taika Waititi himself, Korg is the funniest part of the movie. His role is largely expository for Thor, but it's exposition done right. Every line Korg says will make you laugh, or is important, despite him being a B-List character. There is a complaint to be had that he was perhaps underutilized, yet his minimal appearance was absolutely perfect. Loki: Loki had a simple role in this movie but had huge development by the end. He started the movie with a typical Loki move, i.e not being dead. Loki started of still evil - turning on his brother in the climax of the Sakaar act - but by the end there’s no more tricks. He played a big role in the fight against Hela, and when he’s on the Asgard ship at the very end, you can tell he finally feels for the first time that he has a family. His story id left on a cliffhanger though as during the fight against Hela, he presumably stole the tesseract. Final Notes Overall, Thor Ragnarok is without a doubt the most entertaining MCU movie. It has hilarious comedy, gripping, well choreographed fight scenes, amazing characters including one of the MCU’s best villains. 9/10

Heated New Years - Part 2
Pairings: T’Challa Udaku x Reader
Warnings: none.
A/N: This is the second part of a fic I wrote a while ago and I got a request to write a second part. So with the help of @royalhearts, to whom I’d like to give credit as my co-writer, here it is :).
***
“So, Black Tiger is it?” Thor grabbed a beer from the fridge.
He knew what he was doing, which made you smile. T’Challa had been warned that he would get a hard time from the Avengers since they were very protective of you.
“Black Panther, actually,” T’Challa corrected him. “I am the protector of Wakanda. I also got the mantle of King when my father passed away,” he side-eyed Bucky who just threw his arms in the air, exasperated, and joined Vision in the common room.
Steve leaned on the kitchen counter, a smirk on his face, suddenly interested in the exchange. Wanda started eating one of the cupcakes she was decorating as if she was watching a movie.
“Ah, royal duties. I gave them up. Although my father was still alive when he made me king. He turned out to be an awful man,” the god of thunder shook his head.
“My father killed his own brother and left his child behind.”
“Your father’s child?”
“No, his brother’s child.”
“Oh. Speaking of brothers, mine tried to murder me several times,” Thor leaned towards your fiancé over the counter.
“Well, my sister is lovely. Quite the prankster, but lovely. Although my cousin threw me off a cliff in ritual combat,” T’Challa also got closer.
“My long lost sister, whom my father banished to hell a thousand years ago, came back, tried to take the throne away from my father, though it really was my brother disguised under a spell, and stabbed me in the eye during a fight which resulted in the unleashing of Ragnarok which made my home planet explode.”
The look on T’Challa’s face as he looked at you was priceless. Wanda let out a giggle as Thor smiled with satisfaction and left the kitchen.
“It’s okay, honey,” you rubbed T’Challa’s back. “Your life is way more dramatic.”
“That’s right, ‘cause you chose to spend the rest of your life with (Y/N),” Steve added. “No offense, Doll.”
“None taken, Rogers.”
Steve took a cupcake from the cooling rack and sat down next to T’Challa to eat it. You went back to Peter’s pie. He was supposed to drop by to say hello and you hadn’t seen him in a while so you wanted to surprise him. The Spider-Man was like your adopted baby brother. Ever since Tony introduced him to the team, you had him under your wing, protecting him from Sam and Bucky, who liked to pick on him. His aunt still didn’t like the idea of him hanging out with the team, so you thought of sending her a pie. She liked you the most after all.
“You guys, Peter’s gonna be here any minute, I need you to sign the Holiday card!”
“Why would I sign anything for this kid?” Sam eyed the card.
“C’mon, Sam. It’s for his aunt, you know she doesn’t like us very much and I want it to change.”
“For you, beautiful, I’ll sign anything,” your ex grinned, making you roll your eyes. You had your back to T’Challa but you could feel his anger from were you stood.
“Hey, I got a great idea,” Tony stepped in.
“Oh, no,” Steve muttered.
“What do you say we all go down to the karaoke place and have some drinks?”
“Hell yeah, I’m down!” Sam agreed.
You turned to T’Challa, “You wanna go, baby? Or do you want to stay in tonight?”
“No, I want to go. You have so many stories about that place and I’d like to be a part of one of them.”
“Uh, yeah, you guys are cute and all but let’s keep it PG here, I don’t want Peter to walk in and--”
“Tony, he’s 16.”
“Yeah, so? He’s still innocent.”
*
At this point, everybody was a little hammered. Except T’Challa, who only had a drink or two. He was usually the one who took care of you during and after nights out. Tony was on stage jamming on Should I Stay or Should I Go, one of his all time favorite songs.
“Tasha,” you got off T’Challa’s lap. “Come with me to the bathroom?”
“Sure. Wanda, you coming?”
The three of you strolled toward the busy restroom.
“I will never understand,” T’Challa said.
“Right?” Steve agreed. “Why do they need to be at least a pair?”
“You know what, some questions don’t need answers,” Bucky took a swig from his beer.
*
“Girls, I’ll be outside, okay? The smell here is disgusting,” you walked out of the bathroom. A tall, dark figure blocked you as soon as you stepped out of the door. You lifted your head, ready to yell at the person, but your muscles relaxed once you saw the face of the man. “Hey, Sam. You know this is the ladies room, right?”
Sam nodded, but it didn’t seem like he was listening to you. “Can I talk to you for a sec?” He grabbed your wrist before you could answer and pulled you in a little quiet -- as quiet as the inside of a karaoke bar could be.
You couldn’t see T’Challa from where you were. He would probably be worried when he’ll see the girls come back to the table without you. “What’s up, Birdie?” you crossed your arms.
“Why did you bring him here?”
“What?”
“Why did you bring T’Challa here? Do you want to hurt me?”
“What? No! Sam, what are you talking about? I wanted to finish the Holidays with my man and the people who matter the most to me. Not everything revolves around you, you know,” you huffed and began to walk away.
“Okay, but everything revolves around you in my world.”
“Sam...”
“I still love you. I know it has been a while, but I can’t help it. I can’t help but think about what we could have been if you’d stayed. You were the one to walk away, (Y/N). You were the one to walk away from that beautiful, pure thing we had. Why?”
A sigh escaped your lips. “Sam, I really cared about you. I still do. And you wil always have a special place in my heart. I we could get back together I’d...” Finding the right words was not easy. You tried to meet Sam’s gaze, but he was looking at something behind you. Then you felt it, that strange tingle in your core whenever he was near you. You still didn’t know how that was possible, but Zuri had said something along the lines of “finally finding the missing piece of your heart” or something like that.
“You would what, sithandwa sam?”
*
Nothing. Not one word. Not on the ride home, not when you arrived to the compound, and not now, when he was obviously looking for something in his suitcase, but didn’t want to talk to you.
“T’Challa, are you seriously not going to talk to me because of a sentence I didn’t finish?”
“You said you cared for him.”
Oh, he talks! You wanted to shout, but he was too mad for that and you knew it.
“Yes, I care for him just like I care about Peter or Wanda. He is nothing but a friend to me.”
T’Challa slammed his suitcase shut and pointed a long finger at you. “That right there. He is a friend to you. That’s what I don’t like.”
“Excuse me?” your brows furrowed.
“I don’t like the idea of you being friends with your ex-boyfriend.”
“What?! You’re the one saying this?! What kind of hypocrisy is this, T’Challa? Did I ever tell you that I didn’t want you to see Nakia again? No, because I trust you, and I love you, and I am mature enough to know that two adults can be friends after getting out of a romantic relationship,” you said, your voice raising a little.
“Now I am immature and a hypocrite?”
`"That’s what you got from what I just said?” you scoffed.
“Yes, because that’s basically what you said!”
“Okay, okay, let’s back up,” you took T’Challa’s hands in yours. “Look at me. I love you. Only you. I was going to tell Sam that if we could get back together, I would still feel unhappy in the relationship because it wouldn’t feel right. I’d still have a piece of my heart missing. That’s you,” you kissed that spot on his neck. “I wouldn’t want to be with another man. I want you. I need you. I am helplessly in love with you. Nothing will ever change that.”
“I hate when you do that,” he moved a braid out of your face.
“What, communicate?”
“When you take me by my feelings. I love you too, entle.”

Thor Ragnarok/Loki imagines - I see you
AN: I’m really going back to my roots here. Marvel was always what I wrote most and what I started this page with. Thor Ragnarok makes me feel really old as I look back on the many years I’ve been writing fan fiction. Loki is and will always be my main first love. Thor Ragnarok may not have been as serious as previous Thor Movies but I still adored it and Loki stole my heart like he does every time he’s on the screen. I came up with this mid movie and I couldn’t pull my phone out to write the idea down so thank god I remembered it. Also, some of the dialogue between Thor and Loki is not word for word, it’s just what I remember.
I might turn this into a series where I start from the first Thor then lead the story up to Ragnarok. Tell me your thoughts on this.
Summary: You have always been Loki’s rock and when Hela comes for Asgard, Loki wants to go back for you but won’t admit that. You are see-er and that meant you could see where Loki is at all times, but when you can’t, you start to panic.
Pairing(s): Loki x reader
Word count: 1,106
Warnings: Spoilers.
When Heimdall was exiled from the city, you chose to go with him. You had seeing powers much like he did however yours differed in a way that Heimdall found interesting.
He was your mentor and when Odin banished him, you had to go with him as he was like a father to you.
However, this meant leaving Loki behind.
You and Loki never met until you two were much older than children. You stayed away from the king and his boys whilst they grew up, whilst you grew up but at a certain age, you became a warrior and your powers started to evolve. This was around the same time that Loki discovered his true identity and the magic behind it.
Over the following years, you grew with Heimdall’s guidance.
Your sight wasn’t the same as his and it was very much weaker. Instead of all-seeing, you could only search for people when you needed to and even then it was difficult.
When Heimdall first realised that you liked to watch Loki through closed eyes that’s when he realised that you may be in some trouble.
It was after the first time you properly met Loki. That is also when you discovered your powers went deeper than just searching.
He was full of rage, you could feel it inside of you. Thor was on Midgard and so Loki very much alone.
You realised that you could enter his mind and see what he could see, see his thoughts and his feelings and every single memory he had. That’s how you found out he was Laufey’s son; a Frost Giant.
You kept your distance from the prince as you always promised your father you would before he died. It wasn’t until Loki’s imprisonment that you truly connected with the prince.
You didn’t mean to enter his mind a lot of the time and Loki found it extremely annoying having to control his thoughts so you’d never see something he didn’t want you to see but it also made you the closest person to him.
You two had something between you. Heimdall said that you were the only person that could make Loki truly smile whilst he was locked in the prison cell and Loki definitely had an effect on you but it never went further than that.
When he ‘died’, you mourned him but on one afternoon many months later, when you found yourself missing him, you found yourself searching for him in your head and found him alive and in the disguise of Odin.
But swiftly after that, Heimdall was exiled and you left with him.
When Thor returned finally, you could sense that it wasn’t good news that brought him back to Asgard.
Your sense was right since shortly after he returned, he left with Loki and then he didn’t come back.
Hela – Sister of Thor, first born of Odin, Goddess of Death – returned in their places with news that Odin was dead and so were the boys.
When you searched for them in your head, you panicked because you couldn’t see them, however you could feel Loki but he was too far away for a visual.
“Heimdall, I can’t see him.” You approached the older man with concern written all over your face. Heimdall knew instantly who you were talking about. “He is far, I can feel it but I can’t see him.” You admitted, frowning deeply.
“He is far.” Heimdall agreed. “Both of them are.”
“I would say that I’m going to stay here on Sakaar but I have other business to attend to.” Loki told Thor as they waited in the elevator.
“Business, brother? I mean I thought you’d like it here, chaos, ruthlessness, no laws, it’s perfect for you.”
“I’ve left something on Asgard and I can’t just leave it there.” Loki was desperate to not let it slip that he actually cared for someone more than himself.
He cared for you and if Hela was in Asgard, you were in danger even if you were a strong warrior.
“I’m sure whatever it is, you can get another.” Thor suggested, and Loki almost growled.
“Not this one, brother. This one, there is only one like it and I won’t leave it to die.” Loki regretted letting his words leave his mouth as soon as he said them. Not because he didn’t believe them but because he didn’t want Thor to constantly tease him like he used to.
As Hela became more destructive and damaging to the city and its people, you and Heimdall were on a mission to get as many people to safety as possible.
You gathered as many as you could each day and took them back to your sanctuary.
That managed pretty well until you saw Hela approaching and had to evacuate to the Bifrost.
You fought when you needed and you screamed, and threw your sword around. You managed to save as many as you could until you got stuck underneath one of the Hela’s undead soldiers.
He held the tip of his sword against your neck and you fought against his strength to stop it from impaling you and that’s when the ship turned out.
“Your saviour has arrived!” You heard Loki announce and that gave you enough energy to you throw the soldier off you, ending his life and that’s when Loki saw you.
He smirked at you and you rushed forward, rolling your eyes at his dramatic entrance.
“Well––” Loki went to speak but you pulled him down by his leather collar, kissing him.
“Were you inside my head?” Loki smirked, speaking quietly after you broke apart.
“No need to read your thoughts when it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time.” You winked at the man before continuing to fight, strutting off with hand on sword and hair swaying wildly.
You watch Asgard burn from a room where you were by yourself. Loki had unleashed Surtur and you prayed he was safe.
You searched for him in your head and found him in the same room as you but a couple feet behind you.
“I wonder when you’d realise when I was here.” Loki openly said, opening his arms as you turned around to see him.
You ran forward and latched onto him, holding so tightly incase he might vanish at any second.
“If you make me think you might be dead one more time, I will kill you, myself.” You whispered, Loki chuckled, causing your whole body to shake with him and then he kissed the top of your head.
“I’m not going anywhere without you again.”

Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Continuing my journey through the MCU timeline, I watched Thor: Ragnarok this week, directed by the brilliant Taika Waititi and released in late 2017. In this sci-fi comedy adventure, we see Chris Hemsworth’s Thor go through a gauntlet of cosmic obstacles, traveling to strange worlds and making new allies and enemies, all in a quest to stop his nigh-omnipotent sister Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying Asgard.
Ragnarok has always been one of my favorite Marvel films, so watching it again was a ton of fun. It had been a couple years since my last viewing, so it felt fairly fresh, so hopefully my breakdown isn’t too biased (I’ll do my best ;D )! One of the greatest achievements of this masterpiece (I tried) was the rebranding of Thor’s character. Waititi took advantage of the fact the Chris Hemsworth is hilarious, and made Thor a much more endearing and charming personality. While I still love Hemsworth in the earlier installments, sometimes Thor wasn’t the most lovable of the Avengers. Waititi’s vision really let Hemsworth be a goofball while maintaining the best core aspects of Thor’s character, making him into what I believe is the best character in the entire Marvel universe.
All of the other performances were amazing as well. Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster is a treasure. Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie was a fun new addition, if not a tad too apathetic at first. Cate Blanchett was suitably menacing but charming as Hela, who I think is one of the MCU’s better villains. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was amazing as always, showing us some goofy and caring new sides of the character we hadn’t gotten to fully see yet. Mark Ruffalo returned as Bruce Banner/Hulk, in what I believe to be the character’s best appearance, even now. Even Waititi himself had a great performance as the instant fan-favorite Korg. All in all, great cast and greatly written characters.
The film’s story is very engaging, and honestly very tragic. It continues Thor’s streak of losing things that are important to him, this time being his father Odin and his entire home planet at the hands of Mr. Krabs Surtur. Thor’s adventures on the strange planet Sakaar were fun and exciting, the most notable being his epic battle with Hulk, who has been fighting in the Grandmaster’s brutal gladiator fights for the best several years. The fight was great, and gave us some amazing brutal Hulk action, as well as some badass Thor moments. Watching Grandmaster’s confident grin instantly disappear as he watched Thor easily send his champion flying through the arena barriers was a great moment, as was watching Thor charge up with the Odinforce to unleash some thunderous havoc.
Continuing off of that, the film’s action scenes were really something special. While some are quick to complain about CGI battle scenes, I think that Marvel frequently does a great job making them work, and this film is no exception. Hela's battle against the Asgardian soldiers was well done, albiet brutal and tragic. The film’s best scene that continues to give me goosebumps was Thor finally realizing the true extent of his powers and laying waste to Hela’s army with ease, all accompanied with some classic Led Zeppelin tunes.
All in all, Thor: Ragnarok is an MCU masterclass, with amazing performances, great comedy, an awesome score, and badass action sequences. It makes me really excited for Taika Waititi’s next installment to the series this July.
Score: 5/5
Next: Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)

Thor’s got the power
Spoilers for Thor: Ragnarok below!
Of course one of the things that just make me so gd ecstatic about Ragnarok is that we finally got to see Thor and the level of power he really possesses. I still don’t think we’ve seen what he can fully unleash yet, but Ragnarok was a breath of fresh air because I feel as if they severely depowered him in the past movies.
This panel pretty much sums up my feelings about his situation for the past movies:
You want some ice for that, Tony?
Thor 1 made sense with his powers not being as formative looking because he spent over half the movie without them. In Avengers we saw his strength and his power, but it wasn’t anything that we were presented with as being overly different or magnificent. We see him light shit up and fight like a badass, but I still think that the MCU didn’t really tap into what made Thor Thor. Whether this was intended because he was holding back or not isn’t too clear, but still, I was left wanting.
Dark World and Ultron showed us some more of his powers to affect the elements and use them to his advantage. Also, we how much he could endure in a fight without him getting too beat up. But still, it felt like they didn’t give him his due.
Mjolnir has always been such a prominent weapon, fixture, and symbol for Thor that you literally cannot picture him without it. The immediate knee-jerk reaction is that Thor without Mjolnir isn’t as powerful or deadly. Even Thor thinks that because it’s what he was presented with as a youth. Almost as if it were a crutch. Mjolnir was a very powerful weapon, but in the end, Mjolnir was only as powerful as Thor. Odin even said that it was there to help focus the power he already had and that Mjolnir wasn’t source of how powerful Thor could be. He’s not the god of hammers, he’s the god of thunder.
I love Mjolnir. I feel like they were a character on its own and they will be missed. Korg put it so nicely:
"Sounds like you had a pretty special and intimate relationship with this hammer and you losing it was almost comparable to losing a loved one."
"That's a nice way of putting it."
That is perfect because to Thor Mjolnir was a part of him and seeing that part of him destroyed is no minor thing. He’s lost his father, found out that his sister is a maniac that just wants to rule and kill everything, and had Mjolnir bite the dust all within a literal 10 minute period. Seriously if that were me I’d be a mess, but hey, this is Thor and he can compartmentalize like a champ.
While I’ll miss Mjolnir very much, the destruction of them was very necessary for Thor to grow as a character and fighter. It gave the audience who may not be as familiar with Thor as we diehards are a good look as to how powerful he really is. He is the weapon. He is the one that would ultimately cause the destruction of his enemies, not Mjolnir.
I’m happy that Ragnarok showed us what Thor could be without Mjolnir same as in Iron Man 3 we saw what Tony could do without his suits. These guys are far, far more than their tech and their weapons. It showed us they can be equally badass without.
Then there’s his fight with Hulk. There’s always debate about who is stronger and who would win, but Thor was created to be stronger than Hulk.
Of course, it varies with writers through the comics, but he was originally created to be stronger, so he’s stronger than Hulk and no one can tell me differently.
We saw in Avengers how well matched he was with Hulk, but there was no clear winner because things were all over the place in regards to what was going on.
This is why I love the gladiator arena fight so much because you see both Thor and Hulk just absolutely throw down and not hold back. You see Thor throw Hulk and just send him flying around half the damn arena. Thor gets absolutely pummeled in the face repeatedly and he barely has a scratch on him. This is how powerful and indestructible he really is. He is in no way a lightweight in the MCU and can go toe to toe with the best.
I fully believe that had the fight been seen through that Thor would have won. I think Grandmaster realized this, especially as Thor was connecting to his powers deeper down. Hulk would lose so Grandmaster did what he had to and took Thor out of the game. While I would have liked to have seen Thor win, I thought that this was kind of a clever way to have it as so there was no clear winner. Everyone kinda leaves happy.
Then, of course, there’s The Scene™. The Scene to end all scenes and my life. We see a fully powered up Thor that absolutely deals out destruction and doesn’t take names. This is Thor THE God of Thunder. This is the Thor that hasn’t been given to us before. This is the Thor that finally understands the depth and reach of his powers and that it’s him and nothing else doing this. This is him unleashing the thunder and lightening to end all thunder and lightening.
This
is the

Thor
I have
been dreaming of
I literally cannot thank Taika Waititi and Ragnarok enough for this. I hope that he just grows more powerful and we see more epic shit like this in Infinity War.

not a revenge plot (request)
Pairing: Loki x Stark daughter! reader
Warning: fluff, language,
Summary: Tony Stark had a 12-year-old daughter that no one knows about during the battle of New York she goes missing. She ends up on a different planet and meets Loki. Eventually, she finds Thor, Bruce, and Valkyrie too. And they return to earth to find a very emotional Tony.
Note: *SPOILER ALERT* if you haven’t seen Thor: Ragnarok then you probably shouldn’t read this major spoiler. sorry if it’s bad
Years later she still remembered the day it happened. She was at a little baker with her new nanny when the sky opened up and another universe rained down on them she remember watch her nanny’s back as she ran away leaving her 12 year old self to her own defense. Sher remembered the bright lights that took her in the midst of chaos she thought she had died but she was very much alive just not on earth. It had been years since she had last been earth or seen any friends or family.
She had made herself very comfortable and well known as (y/n) Stark the Grandmaster best and top girl. Sure, in reality, she was a slave but she was treated well and was allowed more freedoms than anyone else. She had no reason to complain. Until Today.
"c'mon it'll be fine. Just give him a little something-something. Show him a little skin it'll all be fine" The Grandmaster was trying to convince (y/n) to entertain his new Asgardian friend. He had never asked her this before it was always just the Grandmaster she danced for him, serve him, talking to him, giving him advice, any and everything for him. except pleasure him she had never done that and always managed to avoid it. And keep her virginity intact.
"I don't want to and I won't" The Grandmaster had had enough of her little attitude
"you know what it's not up to you. And you will do as I say. I've been nothing but nice to you given you everything. Now it's time you pay me back" he snapped his fingers and a group of women came running in " fix her up for our guess. He's a king so you've got to look your best". And her best she did.
(Y/n) breath hitched in her throat when she saw him, Loki. She'd remember that face anywhere he was the reason for her being here. If it wasn't for him she'd be home with her father working on a car or something Instead here she stood in front of him.
"she's never been used before," the Grandmaster said trying to please him. Loki circled her slowly running his hands over her shoulder and neck. "I like," he said running a hand through her (h/l) (h/c) hair. "good, good," the grandmaster said clapping his hands and started to Leave "so I guess I'll leave you two it. Have fun".
(Y/n) wore a short white dress with a front zipper underneath was a pink pantie set that the Grandmaster picked himself. (y/n) prayed that he wouldn't see it, that no one would see it.
"how did you get here?" Loki asked as he circled her slowly taking in every inch of her but wanting more.
"Earth, I ended up here after the attack on New York" she answered truthfully having no reason to lie.
"really ... What's your name?" he hands wandered to the zipper at the front of her dress slowly pulling it now as if savoring the reveal as if she was fine wine.
"(Y/n) Stark" his hand stopped "what did you say?"
"(Y/n)... (y/n) Stark" he took a step back
"any relation to Tony Stark"
"My father, he's my father". Loki back away and took a seat on the bed her she was the daughter of his many enemies, of one of the men and woman who ruined his plan for world domination. Here stood Tony Stark's daughter to do as he pleased. But for some reason, he didn't feel like doing anything I mean he wasn't going to do anything in the first place just make her undress and lay on the bed as he went off to look for Thor just make her uncomfortable and embarrassed. Now for some strange reason, that idea wasn't so funny anymore. Loki waved her over to the bed with him she stood in front of him. "are you scared of me?" he asked
"no sir, what reason would I have to be scared of you" it was the truth she was not scared of Loki but was terrified of what he'd do or what he'd take. Loki rolled his eyes at her answers she was obviously lying.
“I am the god of lies, you know that right?”
“yes, you are the god of lies brother of Thor the god of thunder”
“ugh do not mention my brother, that imbecile” Loki walked back and flopped on the bed “that idiot, it’s like he gets stupider every time I see him”
“you’re right he doesn’t seem to be very smart but very emotional” (y/n) agreed which shocked Loki
“you don’t like Thor, you’ve meet Thor?”
“personally no I haven’t meet him but I read his file and saw a lot a footages before the New York attack. He looked like an emotional idiot of film ”Loki laughed at this she hadn’t even meet him yet but she already knew he was an idiot. He knew he was going to like this girl even if she was Stark’s kid.
-
Loki continued to see (y/n) after that day, coming and going as he could. Forgetting about the past their relationship began to blossom. They learned more about each other every time they meet.
Loki loved green, fine wine, tea, and a good book. (y/n) love tea, music, building things, and a good cuddle. Loki learned that every day (y/n)’s favorite color would change every day. And (y/n) learn Loki actually admired some human cultures. Together the two fit perfectly, unfortunately, others didn’t see it like that.
Loki had fallen from the sky, literally. He explained that his brother had returned to Asgard and discovered his secret they had gone to earth to see their father who died and unleashed Hela.
Loki had fallen from the sky, literally. He explained that his brother had returned to Asgard and discovered his secret they had gone to earth to see their father who died and unleashed Hela their evil sister. She was off destroying Asgard and Loki didn't know what to do, so he drank. The two sat surrounded by people as they laughed and drank.
While Loki was drinking the pain away, much like her alcoholic father,(y/n) was thinking of a way to save Asgard based on the information he gave her. So far she had nothing.
"Loki, Loki,...Loki" (y/n) looked up seeing the great God of Thunder strapped to a chair both Loki and (y/n) excused themselves. Thor demanded his brother get him out Loki explained he couldn't.
"who are you?" Thor finally noticed (y/n)
"oh. (y/n) Stark"
"Stark?"
"yes. daughter of Tony Stark, How's my old man doing?" (y/n) laughed
"I didn't know Stark had a daughter. You're with Stark's daughter. Oh my- you're with Stark's daughter. If this is some revenge plot it ends now"
"it's not a revenge plot" Loki turned to (y/n) "I promise this is not a revenge. I love you. And you need to mind your own business".
"why are we whispering" all three of them jumped when the Grandmaster spoke, he appeared to be DJing, " you know this Lord of Thunder" Loki shook his head no while (y/n) nodded yes
"he's my brother, " Thor said
"adopted" Loki corrected
"and better looking" (y/n) mumbled under her breath only Loki heard her.
"is he any kind of a fighter?"
"take this off my neck and I'll show you"
"Look, look he's threatening me. Here's the deal you want to get back to ass-guard the place assberg."
"Asgard" Thor corrected
"any contender who defeats my champion their freedom they shall have"
"fine then point me in the direction of whose ass I have to kick" Grandmaster than waved his wand and Thor was off "Loki" he screamed as he left.
"should we be worried" (y/n) asked as she and Loki watch Thor go away
"No... maybe...yes most definitely".
In hindsight (y/n) probably should have warned Loki about the Grandmaster's Champion but ... it slipped her mind. Loki clung to her hand as the fight went on Thor had unfortunately pointed out Loki's presences to the Hulk which didn't help the God. But watching Thor get slammed sure did brighten his mood. After the battle, Thor was dragged off to Hulk's room and (y/n) and Loki returned to their room.
"ugh ... this is just too much. Everywhere I go there's someone is out to get me ... and you're not paying attention to me." Loki flopped down on the bed next to (y/n)
"I'm totally listening" (y/n) said looking off in the distance
"no, you're not"
"you're right I'm not." she confessed " I'm thinking about Asgard and how you can save it "
"Thor has probably already come up with a terrible plan that he'll drag me into. God, I've got to help the idiot, don't I?"
“you better” Loki stood up and stretched as he got off the bed he kissed her cheek "I'll be right back, Darling"
"better"
After a few hours, Loki had no returned she decided to go looking for him and found him chained up in Valkyrie's room. Valkyrie and (y/n) were both good friends and enjoyed the company of Hulk together it was a very adorable and green 2 years. "why is he chained up?" (y/n) asked she wasn't concerned and went straight to the booze" he tried to kill me" Valkyrie as she threw an empty bottle at Loki, luckily missed.
"Hey, do I know you," Bruce asked pointing at (y/n) " I think I know you" "you don't but your green friend does. You're Doctor Bruce Banner you did research on gamma rays back on earth you're smart." (y/n) answered,
"oh ....okay, thanks?" He was a bit confused but like most of everything else today he went with it.
"so is this the 'Loki's tried to kill me squad' " (y/n) said sarcastically
"yes, want to join," Valkyrie said throwing another bottle
"sure, what's the plan"
It was a very terrible plan that left everyone bruised and beaten and Asgard in the dust, literally it was destroyed and left in flames. But the Asgardian people were safe so ....that was good but they didn't have anywhere to go. Thor being the new king decided that earth was the best place to go but it would be best to give everyone heads before he got there. It was decided that (y/n) and Bruce would go to earth to give the heads up but (y/n) wasn't leaving without Loki.
"so..." Loki stood in between his brother and his lover as they both stood their ground against each other "...what do we do now?" Loki asked trying to be funny and lighten up the mood didn't work.
"We go to earth"
"no, he can't"
"That's not your decision therefore he is going to earth."
"no"
"yes"
"no"
"yes
"no"
"he is going whether you say so or not you can't stop me"
"he is a fugitive on earth and will be arrested and possibly killed if they find him on earth. It's too risky" Thor said actually showing some concern and worried rather than anger and lighting. Thor was really concerned about his brother well being and didn't want anything to happen to him Loki was a changed man, sort of, but Thor knew nobody on earth would see that.
"I won't let anything happen to him okay. If anyone wants your brother they'll have to get through me ... and Burce... most Bruce."
"what!?"
"Nothing bad is going to happen to him. If I feel like something bad is happening and you're right I'll send him back, okay?"
"promise?"
"I swear on the king of Asgard and that's you". The truth was they both cared about Loki and knew he was a sort of changed man they both loved him and he loved the both of them even if he wouldn't say it out loud.
Hesitantly handing them the tesseract Thor chuckled " better Contacted Dr. Strange when you get there unless you want for him disappear to a different universe" (y/n) kissed his cheek. All three of them placed their hands on the Tesseract and with a smile (y/n) screamed "TO INFINITY AND BEYOND".
With a thump, the three roughly landed in a field of grass in the middle of nowhere. "Earth oh sweet earth I've missed you" Bruce kissed the ground and pulled up the grass. He really missed earth after 2 years he was really happy to be back on earth.
Getting up the three began to walk to what they thought was civilization before a spinning circle appeared taking the three "not again" Loki huffed as the three went through the circle and appeared in a library. There were ancient artifacts around the room along with books it was so beautiful everything was old and one of a kind. (y/n) couldn't help but take a book off the shelve "please don't touch anything" (y/n) jumped with a startle when a man came from behind her and took the book from her hands. "you said you wouldn't come back but here you are back on earth. What is it now" Dr. Strange said as he waved his hand and everyone was now sitting on couches. "I know who he is, Dr. Banner, but who are you?"
"Um, I'm (y/n) Stark daughter of Tony Stark. I've sort of been on an alien planet since the new york attack" (y/n) introduced herself
"the New York attack was 6 years"
"so that means I'm 17 or 18, who knows"
"why is he here," Dr. Strange asked again
"Asgard was destroyed and the Asgardian people have nowhere to go so we've come to earth to get everyone a heads up Asgard is coming here. Also, there is a deranged woman on the lose. So yeah" There was an awkward silence Strange rubbed his forehead "my god"
Strange let them after putting a binding and blocking spell on Loki and (y/n), he couldn't use his powers and couldn't leave (y/n) side which he didn't mind. He then teleported them to the Avengers New Compound they stood on the front grass and not even a minute later they were surrounded by guns and threw their hands up "we come in peace" (y/n) said as an iron man Suit landed in front of them.
" aren't you suppose to be dead," Tony said not noticing the other two
"THAT'S WHAT I SAID" Bruce screamed
"Bruce? Bruce where have you been pal we looked everywhere for you"
"Oh I was on an alien planet as Hulk for 2 years fighting aliens in competition... yeah"
Tony instructed the guards to cuff Loki and taking him inside as he talked to Bruce he had yet to notice (y/n). Tony was talking really face about everything Bruce had missed and what he wanted to show him "listen, listen, listen, Tony, I've - I've ... TONY ... I didn't know you had a daughter?" Tony stopped talking immediately "how'd you know about her" Bruce looked over Tony's shoulder to see (y/n) just standing there.
"(y/n)? (y/n), (Y/N)" he ran up and took her in his arms " my baby girl oh my baby girl where have you been I looked everywhere for you but I couldn't find you and that bitch on a nanny left and I- I thought - I thought oh god" Tony Cried on her shoulder
"it's okay daddy I'm back and I'm okay it's all okay. Hey, how are you and Pepper doing?"
wiping his eyes Tony says " Fiancé yeah she said yes"
"Oh yay, Oh after this we all could do a double date thing and that would be so cute and you tow can tell me how it happened and-"
"double date? you have a boyfriend, who?"
"um his name starts with an L and you don't like him" you could see all the emotion go through his face sadness, anger, shock, betrayal " that's right LOKI. He's a sweet guy you should get to know him"
"Loki as in the guy that destroyed Manhattan " Tony turned to Bruce to see if she was joking Bruce just shrugged his shoulders and waved his hands around he didn't know what to say so far he was just going with everything "what the fuck what the actual fuck"
"I'm going to go see Loki now" (y/n) skipped off down the hall asking people where the cells were.
In his office, Tony sat in front of his computers with Bruce and Vision by his side as he watched (y/n) embrace Loki in his cell and Kiss him "WHAT THE FUCK"
Bruce scratched his head awkwardly "I guess this isn't the best time to mention that Thor is bringing the people of Asgard to earth because his father died and then his older sister destroyed Asgard. so ..yeah"
"WHAT THE FUCK"
