What do you think its going to happen with the Beasts at the end?
Anything is possible
I really have no idea, but self-indulgently I hope they're going for some kind of redemption. Not a full "okay all the beasts go back to the way they were before they corrupted, they're all good now and everyone's fine yaaaayyy" but some kind of reluctant peace treaty or something? I really don't know how that would work honestly, but I don't want this to be the last we see of them.
I greatly dislike redemption arcs where the villains are just suddenly good for no earned reason and their original motivations for evil are hand-waved away, but I'm no writer, I have no clue how they could redeem them otherwise

everyone shush im thinking. what if a life series au where dogwarts and martren happened in the same place. the king who wont let go of his loyal hand even after death so he fuses himself with the corpse on the black altar. dog and master, king and soldier, two friends bound together by a red thread of fate so strong it can sew their bloodied bodies together. people love to frame the beheading as a wedding but what could be more like a marriage than the merging of two souls into one unholy monster driven equally by love and fury. in some fairytales the kiss of true love brings the princess back from a curse, but this isn't that sort of story. ren had to get his hands bloody to bring his true love back.

You thought you were long since past caring about shit like this-- what is shame to a dead man, after all?-- but, fuck's sake. It still hurts, somehow.
In your mind, you rush him-- sever his dominant hand at the wrist, puncture his armpit and lop his pretty head right off-- but the reality is you just wilt a little, and take the insult for what it is: the spittle of a bad owner, kicking at their dog for lack of a better target.
"Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
Go fuck yourself, Raven thinks. "No, sir," Schwann says. "My apologies, sir."
Alexei sighs. "A poor show, today. I expect better, tomorrow."
"Yes, sir," Schwann says, a swift fist to his blastia heart as he bows. "It shall be as you say."

So I wrote that post about considering a rarepair and went straight to sleep because I'm a bastard like that.
So, uh... an au, I suppose? Crucify me.
Arthur Lester is... an interesting young man. Somehow, his inner turmoils seem to spill out without him saying much – it's in his movements, in his eyes, in this ever-so lost expression, like he's never truly there. Like he never truly knows who he is and what he wants. And when those truths start creeping up on him – and they do, on occasion, – he turns and runs and denies until they're suppressed and dormant in the back of his mind again.
Bella doesn't quite see that. No, she's got concerns of her own, she's young, she's looking straight ahead into the bright future in front of her. She doesn't have neither the experience nor the years to see it in him. And even if she had, she'd lack the familiarity to let her recognize it.
Arthur Lester keeps coming over for dinners. It's Bella's idea, he tries to convince himself, pretending that her eager agreement somehow had more weight than his hesitant propositions. "My father's a good man," she assures again and again, and he nods, hiding his trembling hands behind his back.
Daniel Saltzman might be a good man, Arthur thinks as he stares holes in the wooden crucifix on the wall above him, but I am certainly not.
And he never meets the eyes of the man he is soon to call his father, for he knows Daniel Saltzman would see right through him.
He knows his eagerness to please this man takes root in sin and sin alone. He knows it's not fear that makes him sweat and shiver while he's given stern looks and strict talks in Bella's absence. He knows she's equally absent in his thoughts when his to-be father-in-law gives him reluctant, unenthusiastic praise.
And he knows he can't forever pretend it's a father's love he years for.

(Frankenstein'd two asks together for the sake of previty)
I've been pretty torn between answering this ask and just doing a deep dive re-analysis post about Marineford as a whole (from Crocodile's perspective) because I feel like rereading it now as a Crocodad Truther, I could probably make a whole lot of new observations and/or read into things differently than I did last time I read it (when I was rereading for the purpose of studying the viability of Crocodad) Like there's so much to say about the whole arc and I'd include this line of thought in there anyways... But also, do I really feel like writing a giant essay like that........
I am going to start this by refering to this mini-essay I wrote like a month ago, about how Crocodile seems to have this attitude of "no crying over spilt milk". What's happened has happened, what's done is done, it's your own fault things turned out the way they did, there's no undoing any of it and you just have to continue on. And I do think that attitude would be key here to understanding Crocodile's actions in Marineford re:Crocodad
(Sidenote because this is not relevant to the rest of the post, but the reason this is about Crocodad and not CrocoUncle etc is because if Crocodile was only loosely related to Luffy it would not have the same kind of impact emotionally (for Crocodile; like there is a difference between a nephew and a son). Additionally a part of Crocodad is that it ties into Crocodile's connection with Ivankov in a really important way. If Crocodile was only loosely related to Luffy, him also being trans would kind of be like a random sidenote without being relevant to the two being family, but suddenly if Crocodile is Luffy's other biological parent, him being trans matters a lot more. Also if he's not Luffy's other dad then we'd be still stuck asking who the fuck birthed Luffy to begin with)
Tumblr media
While Sengoku's announcement here would make for a horrific revelation to Crocodile in this situation (a revelation we never see his immidiate reaction to, which continues to be deeply sus), what would it change, really?
The little idiot child who Crocodile had attempted to murder multiple times was his own son. Sure, he might've insantly lost whatever grudge he might've held against Luffy, then what? That feeling would be one-sided, because at this point in the story Luffy hated Crocodile's guts and he knew that too. Luffy has no idea about them being related, and even if Crocodile literally walked up the kid right that second and told him the truth, what would it change? He'd still be the man who nearly nuked a million people off the face of the earth, took over a country and killed Luffy and his friends while laughing about it. Being Luffy's other dad wouldn't make him any less of a horrible asshole (if anything it might make it slightly worse 'cause you get to add shit like "child abandonment" onto his list of crimes).
Luffy came to Marineford to save Ace. Crocodile came to Marineford to kill Whitebeard. He had no reason to interfere with Luffy's quest, and with the help Luffy already was recieving from the prison escapees, the Newkama and the Whitebeard Pirates, what would Crocodile's assistance add to the mix? Would Luffy even welcome him in helping save his brother?
Luffy had his own life, a life Crocodile had not been a part of. He had no right to try to insert himself into it at this point, after all he had done to Luffy. There's no crying over spilled milk. What's done is done, you just have to move on. He should just focus on what he came to do; get his revenge and take Whitebeard's head, as planned.
Tumblr media
Deep breaths
...Only to realize that Whitebeard is a dying old man and not worth even killing anymore, because he's not the same Primebeard whom once beat Crocodile and crushed all his dreams. Defeating Whitebeard would not give him the catharsis he came for.
Tumblr media
And at that point, the fuck was Crocodile going to do? The revenge he wants isn't there anymore 'cause it went bad a few decades ago. And between the raging war and Doflamingo on his ass it's not like he could just sneak out without anybody noticing. He doesn't have allies (aside from Daz under him) to worry about. He only has his hatred to the World Government.
At that point, he might as well be a nuisance to the Government and assist Luffy. Even if the help wasn't welcomed, even if Luffy hated him and regardless if he knew the truth or not, helping Luffy right then and there would still be better than letting the Government have their way and kill his son right in front of him

I was out here just "Wow I should color this so they know I'm gonna put air Jordans on Kugisaki Nobara fortnite tomorrow" then I didn't and just slapped some random shit on. She looks nice though.
#dailykugisaki#jjk#kugisaki nobara#tsukumo yuki#god I MISS HERRRR#Kugisaki looks good in most things because shes just fashion like that y'know#she could nuke tokyo and i would agree because shes one of the few jjk characters that actually know how to serve#no im definitely not referencing akira (i am)#i genuinely think Kugisaki and Tsukumo would've been a wonderful duo#its not just because Gojo cant teach for shit its also because hes clearly fucking picky with his students#Gojo has favorites and its fucking obvious and i hate him#there's people he deems as strong and others he deems as...normal i guess??? idk#shes crazy but she dosent have the inherited strong bullshit that gojo leans so much on. which makes her lesser to him in a way#i am going to bash that mans head in with a rock#but anyway yuki would be so fucking good for Kugisaki because well their ideals clash but also mix so well#two people with boundless rage and yuki actually having the time and the love to accompany that rage to see somebody through to the end y'no#imagine putting two people so violently both okay and not okay with dying together and maximizing their joint slay#ALSO LIKE THE SYMBOLISM They both create something that cannot simply be undone so easily#a permanent wound a permanent mass. something that is both fleeting but can change everything in an instant#grge clearly dont think so but since when have we given a flying fuck what that bitch thinks abt women at this point LMAO#Motherfucking one eyed white freak needs to stick to yaoi#never trust a mf who wiped shit on they pee hole for shits n giggles to write#BUTCH? for the recent ask game, i’m really curious about your take on 7 + 8 :P
for the choose violence ask game!
7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how the fandom acts about them?
i'll be so honest: Jason Todd. i know there's a lot of argument of "who has the worst fans" and i think that question is flawed and impossible to answer, but i will say Jason fans irked me so deeply. because i read mostly 90s era Batfam, i admittedly didn't have a lot of exposure to Jason for a while, expect for his New-52 runs i'd read years ago. and since i never liked him based on those runs, i could not understand *what* his fans liked about him, or where they got some of their headcanons/ideas from. i've never been more baffled. it ranges from "oh i don't agree but you do you, i guess?" to "what character are you talking about i am BAFFLED". and it soured me on Jason for so long that i actually hate read *most* of his pre-Flashpoint appearances just to understand what on earth people liked about him. and now i can say, i love him dearly, but i can also say, i still don't know what character his fans are talking about sometimes. and i hate the fanon version of Jason who feels almost, Deadpool-ified? with this self-aware slapstick humor but a sad soft interior but also sassy and will kill a man it's just. it feels very hollow to me and it has made me almost tempted to block his character tag more than once over the years bc sometimes certain takes make it difficult to even like him. i just have to tune it out or yell about it for hours.
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
i'm going to get particularly saucy with this one: that Dick Grayson has Eldest Daughter Syndrome. or more generally, that he was parentified. not a single ounce of Dick's backstory indicates him as being parentified. to be parentified you have to be a child taking care of other children either emotionally or physically because your parents are not fulfilling that role. and Dick was *never* a child at the time that another child was under Bruce's care. he has been an adult for the entirety he has known every other Batkid. and even then, the *only* one he was something you could akin to being a parent figure to was Damian, and Dick *chose* that. Dick was a grown-ass man in his late 20s who had the facilities and capacity to make the decision to be Damian's primary caretaker. he's never been parental toward any of the other Batkids, nor has Bruce ever forced upon him the role of having to raise them. did Bruce do a sort of questionable job with Dick? yeah. but i would argue Bruce did the best job with Dick of all the Batkids, and even if he was shitty with Dick, he couldn't parentify Dick bc there was no one for Dick to be parenting. and Dick wasn't parenting Bruce either. they just had a normal relationship of loving and caring for each other.
as for Eldest Daughter Syndrome i just.. i Do Not Like calling any male character "female coded" or "female rage coded" or "eldest daughter coded" because they're *not*. especially not in *this* medium. these are male characters, created by men, written by men 90% of the time, and written to be *male power fantasies*. nothing about Dick or Jason or any Batboy is female-coded bc they exist to be badass men. just because they show emotion and have complex relationships with Bruce doesn't make them suddenly women. Dick shows his anger in a very destructive, stereotypically "masculine" way. even if we strip it of gender, Dick doesn't exhibit most traits of Eldest Daughter Syndrome. he easily makes relationships with people his age, he has no issues telling Bruce no, he did not have caretaking responsibilities forced onto him by Bruce, he's not even really hyperindependent. Dick has a support system outside of the Bats, the fandom just ignores it. does Dick force caretaking responsibilities onto himself sometimes? can he be an overachiever? absolutely. but these are internal complexes that just come with making a character a superhero, it's a complex they all have. if i have to hear one more fan call him Eldest Daughter Syndrome-core or say he's a victim of parentification, i think I'll explode a little bit.
