"Happy Birthday atem!!!~", mana yelled hugging the pharao tightly. She leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Don't go to sleep early tonight, I'll come and give you your present~". With that mana leaned away, let go of atem and looked at him with a teasing smirk. "Bye for now my pharao~", mana said in a polite manner and waved at the guards, happily walking away.

The magican came as promised and climbed up over the balcony, entering atems bed chambers. "Atem? Oh! Lucky me, so you are still awake!", mana smiled, running towards him and giggeled. She couldn't help it. Feeling pure happiness as soon as she sees him. Truth be told she missed him all day and couldn't wait for this moment to come.

"Are you ready for your present? If you are.. come and follow me! We have somewhere to be~", mana held her hand out to him and waited for his answer, "eh.. also please don't ask how I made it possible. I made suuuper sure that isn't dangerous at all! And you'll be save all the way!!!", mana smiled with a bright grin as she walked him out of the palace to some horses. "It isn't far from here, it's place I found by myself and I wanted to show it to you", mana explained while climbing onto her horse, then holding her hand out for the pharao. "D-Don't look at me like that.. Let me be your knight in shining amor for tonight! Sit behind me!", the magican blushed as she looked away from his eyes. The gaze seemed to heated. Mana didn't know how to act at the current moment. She wondered if this was to much..

"We are here!! Wait! Wait! Sit, don't get up yet!", mana held atem back in panic. After all she had this all so well planed and organized. It would be sad if it didn't work out well. So mana jumped quickly down from the horse and turned around, holding her hand out towards him, "May I?", she smiled gently at him.

"Don't worry what I want to show you is just up ahead!", mana said while she walked through a gate, it was covered in beautiful flowers and plants. Walking inside, there was a small, yet so breathtaking garden. With a big fountain in the middle. A cute swing hung down from the trees and roses, flowers, plants everywhere. Some butterflys and fireflys flew in the air, setting the right mood. While walking through the middle of it, there was a table, with two seats. One looking like a throne while the other looked like a normal chair. Their names were written on them.

"Please sit down atem~", mana smiled while she pointed towards the throne. "I made this for both of us. I'm not best cook so I mostly just brought some fruits and chocolate.. I still hope you'll enjoy it~". With that the magican snipped her finger and the box disappeared. Instead a plates with fruits and sweets appeared on the table, "Don't worry they are all fresh~", mana giggled while eating one of the grapes, "see?", while chewing it and shwalloing it.

The magican noticed atem's gaze right away. Yes.. she should explain. Of course he would be confused. Maybe this was really to much. But the book said that you treat the person you love like this.. maybe the book lied? What a mess..

With a blush mana stood up and walked infront of the pharao. "My dear atem, I'm sorry for acting all mysteryious. I wish you happy birthday. And this garden as everything in it is my present for you! I created this garden in the thought of you!" the magican smiled with a special gaze in her eyes. She looked at him with pure love. Spreading her arms out to her sides as to show of the garden, "The whole garden", then she pointed on the seats and the food, "plus everything in it belongs to you".

Mana took one last step closer to him as she hugged herself, "even me~", she whispered so only he could hear, blushing cutely. With that mana turned around, blushing heavily, her heart beating faster as usually. Not wanting to look at him. Was she scared? Maybe? Would atem understand what she was trying to say? Maybe? Hopefully?

she's not someone who normally likes hanging around people so whether it's platonic or romantic, if she's voluntarily spending time with you, that's one way for her to say 'i love you'....but also she tends to be shy about admitting that so it's more like she'll make up some kind of excuse/reason she and the person of her affections sjdfklsjd be sure to read between the lines in those cases :D

but also since she's super observant, especially of the ones she cares about most, i feel like it really will vary from person to person bc she prefers to be unobtrusive as possible with her affections...so for example, with calum, she knows he's not necessarily the best at standing up for himself and while she knows he's trying to get better at that, when she knows he's overwhelmed and can't get back into balance, that's when she'll step in bc he needs someone in those cases to be the asshole 🥲 but i hope that makes sense?? bc if it's someone NOT like calum, she'll observe and then figure what would be most comforting and helpful to them emotionally...either that or she'll buy little gifts of their favorite foods/sleep.

in her canon timeline, her and calum's wedding was very small, very private, mostly because a. mana doesn't have a lot of friends in her life and her only family she's close to is her grandmother so all the people she wanted there could be counted on two hands....and b. calum was estranged from his adoptive family by then and even tho he does have a lot of acquiantances, there are only a few who he actually considers like close friends

The head-canons that could be written for this on new canon info is too great—

First order of business: Hakkai is #1 Mitsuya Fangirl with idol lights, headbands, tee shirts and everything

Angry as drummer makes so much sense. He doesn’t know what he’s doing half of the time, he just has that good of beat awareness and rhythm control.

Kazutora BEEN knowing how to play Guitar. He and Baji tried learning together, but Baji kind of got bored of it.

I could write guitarist Baji headcanons for days, but my first line of thought is that playing couldn’t keep his interest.

Kazutora has naturally long fingers that make reaching all the notes really easy. He’s very good, and learns all his favorite songs as practice before the band was even put together.

Akkun thought learning base would make him look cool, initially. He liked the deep cords and also caught on pretty fast.

Akkun’s always has spare guitar picks on him, which is great when Kazutora always forgets his.

Mitsuya…….. now Mitsuya-

He just naturally has beautiful vocals. He’s written a lot of solo songs where he can express his vocal range.

Luna and Mana Love listening to their brother, and often he will sing them lullabies of his own creation to sleep …

The Band is definitely more Punk Tone.

They all try to write songs together, but they can never agree on anything when working collaboratively like that.

They all actually get along really well, and don’t fight often. It’s just that while they play great together, they’re not often on the same page with collaborative ideas.

Just how Angry just flows well with whatever beat Akkun and Kazutora give him, Mitsuya will just listen to them play and come up with genius lyrics to match

Kazutora does better when he’s given a script, or cord inspiration.

As a kid he used to pick up random bugs to show them to his mum (she was not impressed)

Growls whenever his hairband snaps

Gets extremely excited for zoo visits, as a kid he actually used to frequently get lost at zoo trips since he'd run off to look at all the animals faster then his mum/ class. 

Likes splashing in puddles (especially if it means he can splash Chifuyu or Ryusei).

Whenever he sees Luna and Mana they beg to braid his hair (he secretly likes it being played with)

Actually likes talking while watching movies, he likes having someone to theorise with and discuss the plot with.

He can't take any credit for his hair care cause his mother taught him everything he knows.

As a kid he would constantly invite Kazutora round for dinner because he didn't like the idea of him being home alone/ with his parents.

Got so angry when Senju attacked him while training Emma (he immediately pushed Emma behind him to try and protect her) but that anger immediately vanished when he realised who attacked him and why.

Is very protective as a partner, will constantly check your wellbeing and safety.

Is also on bug duty, there's a big spider in the house? It's his job to take it outside.

Cryptnip, in my goopy little brain its basically just catnip but it effects cryptids, with various effects based on species of cryptid but they are all generally calming with similar effects to actual catnip

They look like fiddleheads ferns but red, like this

They typically grow in eerie areas, like crypts, catacombs and generally places someone might've died and have been buried with little to no light in the environment, they can grow with pretty low amounts of soil or small gravel, anywhere they can anchor roots in, they don't produce seeds, they produce spores like the actual ferns so the spores can be transported into those dark areas thanks to airflow

Before the invention of human architecture they'd grow in caves where animals passed on, their basically cryptid plant-ness feeding off the fading life forces of the dead and converting it back into mailable energy, because I love the conservation of mass/energy even in magic and soul systems, this also means the plant could also maybe be used in some magic or paranormal rituals, and cryptnip tea could be like a basic mana potion for magic users lol

And cryptids are instinctively attracted to the plant because of the aforementioned release of basically pure magic that can be used and specialized by anything that can, think like the stem cells, so evolution happened and the cryptids gained the instinct to roll in and eat the plant to help strengthen their paranormal abilities

“Sara, can I talk with you? Alone?” Manas asked.

“Of course. What is it?” Sara followed him to the cave’s entrance, and they stood next to the pool, away from the others.

Manas opened his mouth, then shut it, frowning. Though he had spent most of the previous night deciding what to say and resolving himself to tell her, now that she stood in front of him it was a different matter. She was beautiful. Though perhaps in worldly terms she appeared rather plain, to him she was the most beautiful, most precious thing the world could offer. He didn’t deserve to be near someone as good as her. How many times had she saved him, when he had only brought her trouble? There was no way he would ever be good enough for her, yet if she really did love him….

Manas took a deep breath and said, “I wanted to thank you for all you’ve done for me. For traveling with me, for saving my life, for... accepting me. I don’t deserve the kindness you’ve shown me. You’ve gone into dangerous situations for my sake. And though it may be selfish of me, I—I want to stay with you. If we win, if I do become king, I want to live the rest of my life with you. I….” He paused uncertainly.

Sara smiled and said, “Well, I did promise I was going to keep you from becoming like your father, didn’t I? It would be rather hard to keep an eye on you if I wasn’t nearby.”

“Yes, but I mean, I, err,” Manas stammered. Uncomfortably, he turned and stared into the nearby pool’s depths. Slowly, he said, “It’s only recently that I really thought about our relationship. And if you don’t feel the same way, I understand. But I think I’m finally realizing just how important you are to me, and just how much I—I love you.”

Sara stood speechless for a moment, then a joyous smile spread across her face. She said softly, “And I love you, Manas.” They stood quietly for a moment, gazing at the pool and listening to the faint sounds of forest creatures calling to each other.

At last, Sara spoke again, “You once said that Siliven and humans can’t be together. Did something change your mind?”

“Kelsin said that there used to be some mixed marriages in the past, before all the strife between humans and Siliven started. And it’s not likely I’ll live much longer than you, if even as long, so lifespan won’t be an issue. Though...I suppose we wouldn’t be able to get married right away. Even if I am able to take the throne from my mother, there will be the treaty to arrange, corruption within the Vawaren government to fix, and more,” Manas commented.

“Then perhaps an engagement would be better,” Sara suggested. Manas nodded.

“I’m afraid I don’t have anything to give you, though. Isn’t it customary to give an engagement ring?”

Sara glanced down at the stone hanging from her neck and said, “The necklace you gave me will do for now. Even if it can't grant any more wishes, I still treasure it, and it was one of the first gifts you gave me. Just make sure you find a ring by the time we’re actually getting married.” And she winked cheekily at him. Manas raised an eyebrow, but smiled.

“You’re sure you won’t mind living in Vawaren, if we succeed? It’s a dark place,” he commented.

“Anywhere with you is fine. Even if it’s dark, the forest can be beautiful, can it not?”

“Perhaps,” Manas murmured.

“And Manas, stop talking like we ‘might’ succeed; we will succeed. I feel sure of it,” Sara said and looked up at him with a determined gaze.

Manas gave her a smirk. “If you say so, queen.”

Sara rolled her eyes. She stood and said, “Well, we’d better get ready if we’re really going to do this.”

Manas nodded and followed her back into the cave. It was time to become king.

He’s 21 and attends uni in Zarynia city, he wasn’t originally born in the city but his background is long enough to make a whole other post about (lmk if you want that or don’t care lol) but to sum it all up he was born and given to a sort of cult as a “prophesy child” he escaped when he was about 12 and ended up in the city alone and got basically adopted by a guy named Darik (we love Derik)

And I want to go into what happens at present time or cannon time in the story but to do that I need to introduce our other MC >:)

Quint is 22 and goes to the same uni in the city, he was born and raised there but was born into a lower class family, his parents didn’t really like that though and decided to be idiots and make a deal with an entity to give raise Quints mana ability’s but they didn’t pay for it and it ended up landing their son with a curse as well as his advanced ability’s..

Man I tell you, a single Heal spell makes ALL the difference. Especially early on when you don't have money or potions or skillz. Dying less apparently makes game moar fun! SHOCKING.

I have recruited Sten.

I have also recruited Shale for the first time. I love Shale. Shale is best rock. Squish me. (Not really pls don't Shale) DLC ftw!

Sten really, really, REALLY likes my warden this time wtf. His affection is the HIGHEST of everyone, second only to dog. I have no idea how that happened. O_O I just RP-ed Marzel as being very indifferent to Sten. "I'm not here to impress you, bruh." Sten is a tsundere confirmed.

I did the FADE quest. Again. I told myself it wasn't as bad this round and that I'm fine but obviously I'm not fine but you just have to hold it in and my bags are full of junk and I need to sell them bcos I needs the money but I can't leave pls pls let me out LET ME OUT!2111

Got Flemeth's grimoire for Morrigan. Formed a team made only of dude-bros to help Marzel get laid. Which meant they had to make do without any healing or bard song. I named them... the Snu Snu Squad (affectionate). Zevran died almost immediately. (Note: Dragon bum be dangerous position) Marzel stupidly killed his own self with blood magic while throwing his single Heal spell >_> MVP goes to Alistair for keeping alive long enough to whittle away Flemeth's health and died just exact moment Sten landed a killing blow. Grimoire was given and snu snu was had!

Marzel is in weird love triangle where all romancable persons love him. This cannot end well.

Why are there so many Desire demons? Holy crap, with the DLCs I have encountered no less than 4. Were there always this many?? Are Fereldans so horny?

People who challenge MAGES to duels deserve to die... from stupidity. I don't make the rules. You sir, have a pointy stick. Marzel can conjure blizzards and crushing barriers with his fingertips. We are not the same.

I kinda wanna talk about the mana games

at least the ones i have played

secret of mana

while this game is good, but holy crap. so many issues with it, namely magic spam, its almost impossible to beat some bosses without not letting them attack you at all. but ultimately a good game, can get annoying at times, and not really a game i would plan on playing again. worth your time, but only once. and the story isnt amazing, but the world is so wonderful that i love it anyway.

trials of mana (secret of mana 2 if you're like me, and a huge nerd)

this game is great! first things first, a 3 choices. what characters do you want! pick 3 out of 6. which most combos are very good. although I wouldn't recommend picking three magic users. but go ahead most of the game is pretty easy, although still with magic spam, there is less of it, and very easy to run out of mana.

then there are the jobs, which there are 3 levels to, the first one you just have. but then you get to choose between light and dark, which then goes to another choice between light and dark. and a game with 6 different characters all with 4 different ending power ups, this game is great.

although there are some parts where the difficulty spikes for some reason, expecially a boss with a human sized person where he just one shots all your squishys (if you have any)

there is one point where you are stranded on an island and have to interact with a random rock to progress, so watch out for that. and it kinda has a problem with you going "where the heck do i go" the remake fixes this, but in like, the worst way possible, still doesnt tell you where to go, but just gives you a way point on your mini map. i dont know which one is better.

storys ok. they are all your tipical affair, "go slay a dragon" or "go save the kingdom" or "go save your brother" but honestly, i think its ok that its story is nothing to write home about, its just enough to get you to care. and thats all that matters.

technical problems: two stats just, dont work. that being luck and dex, they are mostly useless exept for the ninja character. then they unlock their spells, but thats it. and crits never happen, ever. so one of the final jobs for one of the characters is completely useless and you probably shouldn't pick it.

the music and world is great, that is what mana strives on, the world and music.

adventure of mana (final fantasy adventure)

this game is pretty good, for a game boy game at least, first off, this game is hard, not in the "oh man i gotta try again, i almost had it!" hard, more of the "fricken dang it! this game is too hard!" and there is one part which is getting pretty regular in these games, where you have to circle a tree like 3-5 times in order to progress. or have to wear silver armor to get into a cave.

and it has a system where you can choose to wait and charge up your attack to do a big attack, which is really fun and i love it. all mana games have this in common. which is one of the reasons why i love them.

legend of mana

oh this one is great too*.

oh so so many choices to make, im a simple person, give me meaning or non meaning full choices to combat and i am a happy camper. and this one has no shortage of them. first, choose your gender/character. then pick where you want to have your world, (some parts you cant pick cause they dont have enough sea.) then your off. but then you can choose between 11 different weapon types, which i wont list off here lol.

then there's the pets, which are fun at first, then you find the asterisk, which that every single system has one. first off, they have made every system overly complicated and over all, useless. why should i make a new sword when the store bought one is just fine, AND i have to put all the ingredients IN ORDER to get the right sword, and you have no idea what that is without a guide.

you can place down the worlds the way you want to, which is fine on a first playthrough, but you will be locked out of content if you do your placements wrong. but i found it fun to just go through the game as i wanted to, then go with a guide. and the story is really well written. made me care for all or at least most of the characters, and the world and music are beutiful as all get out. even listening to the abandoned city makes me almost cry.

but over all, the game was designed with the idea that you would replay it a lot, which is a fun idea. rouge likes (hate that name btw) are a testiment to that. over all, great game. just with a few blemishes, that might be a little ugly but oh well, the whole thing is pretty good. i just wish the pets were more enphsised and all the systems were made more impactful and easyer to understand.

Like pass me that vaina or look at this vaina.

The slang words I used on Clash of Cultures are: Webon = Stupid Pana = Friend/ friendly Alebrestao = agitated Guáramo = value or courage Beta = Gossip Bicho = It's often said when you forget the name of a thing. Like, Pass me the bicho ese, please. Bochinche = Party Chamo = Boy/girl/kid Curucutear = register or review, generally out of curiosity, own objects or those of others Vacié/Naguará = Has the same use as Sie'carajo. Cachicamo diciendole a Morrocoy conchuo' = This is a saying and it means that a person highlights in another the defects that it has or simply brings to light the same mistakes that it commits. hi pls i need to talk to someone about p2 v4 i just finished it and it destroyed me emotionally FNAKNF DUDE when did this series go from 'haha paper making nerd rants worldbuilding and criticism of capitalism' to 'want to cry at 4am and have your heart absolutely crushed?'

[MAJOR SPOILERS FOR P2 V4]

i'm not ready to let go of so many of the cast and them not being recurring supporting characters anymore AT ALL also call an ambulance bc i'm losing it over the afterword,,,, author WDYM you wrote heidi and josef as what myne and lutz could have been had she not had the devouring dude recommend me ascendance of a bookworm fics asap i need fluff or at least angst with a happy ending bc ohmygod

Okay, right yeah that is a tough ending, but I assure you it does get better and worse, lol there is a lot of ups and downs in this series and believe me you really do get invested in the new characters in part 3+ as well.

The characters in P1-2 will still be around, but they will mostly move to the background, continuing to work on Myne's projects. Most of them have already achieved their goals / dreams thanks to Myne and she continues to stay as connected and loyal as she can, but she also has new people and problems to deal with as a noble.

I can see the Heidi and Josef comparison, lol

I've actually thought about this and it is actually quite a genius bit of worldbuilding that the author is using this one character to show us what life is like on all the different levels of this world, and the parts that Myne isn't privy to she embellishes though the extra POVs. It really makes the world so rich.

P1 With Myne we start off as a lowly commoner, a simple family that works hard to make every penny count, but there is lots of love and affection. Then we see what merchants are like though Benno and Corina, etc... and how there lives are more comfortable, but still they work hard and serve the nobles who have all the real power.

P2 Then Myne joins the temple and we get an idea of how the gods of this work and that mana and magic play a real role in how this world operate. We see how the poor or low mana nobles are treated and how orphans are treated. There are real problems, but Myne can only do so much given her age and status... but she is mana rich so... Where you are, P2 V4.

P3 Myne is adopted and becomes a noble. This is done to secure her mana for the province, but it also gives Myne some position and power, real power as the adopted daughter of the most powerful family in the province. Now we learn about Ehrenfest and more about all the factions and in fighting and why the province is so mana deprived that Myne would be adopted in secret like she is. It really starts to get more interesting with the politics of the country.

P4 Myne attends mana school and learns about the other provinces and the power dynamics between them all and even more power plays are in play, especially as we start interacting with the royals too.

I don't want to say too much more, but we are basically going on a journey and learning about every level of this world from commoner to royalty and how Myne's unusual behavior and thinking and past knowledge helps her but also puts a target on her back as she unearths the core problems of this world. She is never not causing trouble or standing out just like she did in P1-2, even when all she wants to do is read quietly and plan her future library, lol

So far this series hasn't disappointed me, I only love it more and more! You do miss some of the characters being around and being more active, but they are still there and we still get little tidbits on what they are up to, just the focus has shifted into new areas where the country as a whole literally needs someone like Myne to shake them up and out of their ridged traditions, bias thinking, and inject some basic common sense into their thought processes.

She was reincarnated into this world for a reason ^_^

Hope this helps you a bit and you continue to read the series! Myne's family find ways to stay connected, and it is actually one of the more heartwarming aspects of the series. Their bond is strong and true.
