anyways since. i decided merehawke's gonna be canon, i am bringing back elizabeth actually grieving meredith after she dies and feeling Bad about it. because like it was a terrible relationship, and she's glad she's rid of this woman but also. i mean you spend 3 years having this weird very intense manipulationship with someone, i think she got some feelings she didnt even realize were there (elizabeth's heart is big enough that it fits a lot of people) and when she kills her its that feeling of. im glad she's gone and yet why do i feel sad at the idea that there is no one left to mourn her? who's gonna remember meredith, considering that she had no family and elthina also just died. its kinda weird.

one thing about esper is you can always count on shayfer james to describe some emotion they're going through or other. i like this song as a description of the overall tone of esper and astarion's relationship -- they're damaged people who find their own form of peace with each other.

this one could apply easily to both of them and is a fun insight into the mutual usury of their early relationship. esper comes into their relationship knowing through their ability to sense emotions and intentions that he is using them, but they're fully onboard with a mutually transactional manipulationship because esper is so starved and desperate for affection and intimacy that even the fake thing will do, because they don't understand the real thing anyway. playing mindgames with each other is how the both of them cope with the fact that their enjoying each other's company is quite true and beautiful.
