big and honestly intimidating horse-fly (aka march fly), her mouthparts look very stabby. thankfully she just stared at us for a bit before flying away.

much like mosquitoes, only female horse-flies bite, using the protein from vertebrate blood to produce their eggs.

I was aware he had one good close girl-friend. He even had some of her drawings/sketches tattoo’d on him! There was a point of time she was doing the lords work and providing some Patty content through VSCO and IG back in 2017-2020.

I assume they aren’t close anymore and don’t see each other often, since he’s unfollowed her and even through a simple scroll through her media (they’re all public!) you can tell she’s been out of town doing her own thing, vice versa.

I started DJing 25 years ago on this day today.

On this day in 1999, I attended my first concert ever. The Levi's Sno Core Tour at the Crane Building in the Strip District. Pittsburgh, PA. The bill had Everclear, Soul Coughing, The Black Eyed Peas (w/ Kim Hill) and DJ Spooky. Saw DJ Spooky open up and it gave me the idea to pursue DJing. Copped his "Haunted Beats Vol. 1" record at the merch booth. Still have it to this day.

Also, I moshed and went crowd surfing for the first time ever at this concert. It was awesome!

Definitely ranks amongst my finest 90s memories.

And as the last cover reminds us, "Don't Worry, Uncle Sam's All Right!" Whether that means the country is going to be OK, or America's always in the right, we don't know, but we prefer the former. Anyway, Happy Independence Day!
