I wish tou would write a fic where Bowser and either Peach or Luigi swap bodies 😆

Ooooh both options have such a good potential!

-Bowser swapping bodies with Peach would be a pretty hilarious situation: "Peach" suddenly becomes loud, grouchy, obnoxious and agressive towards anyone who looks at "her" wrong. But then the Toads shrug and think "she got a lot of stressful stuff going on, she's allowed to go berserk once in a while". Bowser would still need to tone it down to not raise Mario's suspicion. While doing so, he needs to walk for some time in Peach's shoes, and it gives him some insight on how her life isn't as easy and carefree as it seems; royal duties, threats to her kingdom, annoying suitors (which include him), the latest being especially infuriating when he can't just torch them down. Would that insight be enough to make him change his behaviour towards Peach, or would it just give him more ammo for his next proposal attempt ? Both are very likely !

Meanwhile Peach is having trouble passing for Bowser at first because her first reflex when confronted to a problem or a conflict is to try to talk it out politely...which, the first time she does it as Bowser, is met with wide eyes and a worried Kamek fussing over "Bowser"'s well-being. So she tries her best to be more assertive and rude, which is very hard for her. Still, she also gets to see a side of Bowser she doesn't see often, notably how for all his bad temper and selfishness, his kids and his subjects adore him and never doubt that he cares about them.

-Bowser and Luigi swapping bodies would be hilarious for different reasons. Luigi wouldn't even try to pass as a king , the moment her realizes what's going on, he spent his first day as Bowser running across the Darklands screaming. Once he calms down, he figures out that the best solution would be to find either Mario or Bowser himself, and try to figure out a solution...but because he's Luigi, he keeps getting into trouble and failing to reach his goals every step of the way. Mario isn't home, Peach is in the middle of a royal meeting, the Toads spot him on the way and raise the alarm, when they see him looking for "Luigi", they scream bloody murder...a fun day for Luigi.

Bowser, meanwhile, is OUTRAGED. Of ALL the people he could have swapped with, he gets stuck in Green Mario's body ?! It's the worst! It's sweaty and pouchy and skinny and he keeps having panic attacks for no reason, how does this guy even stay sane ?? At first he decides to mess around as Luigi to cause him trouble, but to his already great indignation, no one takes him seriously when "Luigi" tries to act like a jerk ! He gets told off by TOADS !! Once he finds this nerd, he'll make sure to laugh at how pathetic he is before knocking him out and getting his body back. (That's not how it works, but Bowser is an idiot).

Unrelated but have you ever seen Princes et Princesses ? Because now I'm picturing one of the stories as a variant of this scenario, with the body swapping going from one to the other 😂

Mario and Meggy find a portal to Avatar Meggy's universe and fall through it, landing not in Inkopolis or Splatsville, but in the Memverse. So now they have to team up with Off the Hook, Acht, and Agent 8 (who happens to be the local version of Desti) and ascend the Spire of Order to escape. Also Meggy's a drone like Pearl, because one of them needed to be a drone for the game mechanic memes to work properly and that seemed like the funniest option.

I wish you would write a fic where Dimentio won in recreating reality to his own desire but decided to keep a none-mind controlled Luigi with him by his side, almost like the only good souvenir left from the old reality.

If I had a nickel for everytime I created/inspired an AU in which the villain wins and kills everyone except for the kind-hearted little brother hero with green in his color scheme who inadvertently helped him complete his plan, and kept that hero as a trophy/pet after his victory, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

But yes, oh yes, this would be such a fucked up fic.

Luigi not being mind-controlled would be even more cruel than keeping him as a mindless puppet : he has to live with the awful, crushing guilt that all of that destruction, all the deaths of his loved ones, are because of him. Him who couldn't resist the thrall or Dimentio or fight against the fusion into Super Dimentio.

Dimentio would let him run wild for his entertainment. Planting labyrinths in his path, recreating puppets in the likeness of various habitants of the previous reality to indulge him, only to twist them awfully and make Luigi doubt his own memories about his friends.

Maybe sometimes Luigi would get too close to escape. Then Dimentio would yank on the strings (can't have his favourite puppet wander too far) and play with him for a while. Maybe even acting nicer or weaker, giving Luigi a reason to keep fighting instead of giving up.

(Luigi did give up more than once. But Dimentio won't even grant him the mercy of death).

But Dimentio is forgetting one thing : even gods can't control their creations forever.

Will that be enough to stop him, however ?

Will Luigi find solace in submitting to Dimentio's will instead ?
