Here, have a mirror of the final Nightly build of Citra (March 3rd 2024), and the most recent build of Yuzu I could find via the Wayback Machine. (February 28th 2024)

If you have been thinking of modding your 3ds, DO NOT UPDATE IT.
It's likely that the homebrew team will break this new level of security in a few months, but, goddamn it really shows how much Nintendo spites their own players to mod a system they don't even support anymore to make it harder to play games AFTER shutting down the eshop.
Fuck Nintendo, pirate all of their games, don't give them a fucking cent.

Alright folks, Nintendo dropped a surprise system update for the 3DS that's meant to close up exploits used for installing custom firmware/homebrew. You’ll probably start seeing update prompts on your 3DS soon.
If you already have Luma3DS custom firmware on version 11.0 or higher, it is safe to update. The system update doesn’t break anything on 3DS systems with current custom firmware already installed.
If you have an older version of Luma3DS installed (pre version 11.0), update Luma before running the system update.
If you do not have CFW installed yet and wish to install in the future (I highly recommend installing custom firmware, it’s great.): DO NOT RUN THE SYSTEM UPDATE, install custom firmware first. The update breaks most current exploits used to install custom firmware aside from ntrboot and exploits that require access to a second, already hacked 3DS.
More info about the update can be found at 3ds.hacks.guide. The situation may change in the future as more is figured out about workable exploits.

Youtube thumbnail: Nintendo picks a fight with open-source project Yuzu
Me: Okay. What does the project actually do?
Google: It’s an emulator for Switch.
Me: Oh, so piracy. Kinda buried the lede there.

Gotta love Nintendo bitching about Yuzu allowing over a million people to pirate The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom before launch, as if the game didn't sell 10 times that at launch.
They're literally just using that as an excuse to go after emulation again. And the scary part is the idea that this time, they could potentially succeed.
Yes, Connectix and Bleem set legal precedent for emulation being ruled as fair use, but those cases are over two decades old. If Nintendo actually wins their lawsuit against Yuzu, that could set a dangerous precedent for the legality of emulation.
Anyway, it is always morally correct to pirate Nintendo games.

The first time I realized that digital piracy was morally correct was when Final Space got cancelled. I learned that it wasn’t just cancelled, it was completely scrubbed from all streaming services. As in, you straight up can’t watch it legally anywhere. And then the same thing happened to Infinity Train, and now a bunch of WB movies like Batgirl and Coyote vs. Acme have been actively destroyed before even seeing the light of day.
Regardless of your personal preference, it is supremely fucked up that any work of art is now in danger of basically being unpersoned by some executive who’s only motivated by money.
