Say what you will about season 7 of the X Files, there are certainly some clunkers in the season. However the season finale fucks and I will not be taking any criticism. Marita and Krycek cuntily teaming up to fuck over CSM. Krycek later pushing that musty old man down the stairs to the sound of me cheering, no matter how many times I’ve watched the episode. All the Mulder and Scully moments, including the bed cuddles. The reenactment of their first date case. The shot of everyone, including the Lone Gunmen, eating Chinese and talking government conspiracies. That final moment between Scully and Skinner, with the topic of a missing Mulder hanging over the scene and the fact that Scully is pregnant and the father is missing. Just!! It has sooooo many fucking good moments and it makes me go insane every time I watch it.

Look, this isn’t an argument about whether a character is hot or not. By “unfortunately” I mean that, for whatever reason, you find this character sexy and/or fuckable despite how much you do (or should) despise them and it makes you hate yourself a little for it.

does it make anyone else really sad that mulder & scully never got more allies they truly trusted & were actually trustworthy? like how could they ever hope to stop the consortium or colonization with only them? i kind of wish the sixth extinction went differently and mulder being able to hear everyone’s thoughts ended up helping him find their allies.

skinner, KERSH (i just really think he should have been one in the end), some of those clone guys, marita, even fucking krycek (him being a double agent to also stick it to csm lol), SPENDER (sad about what they did with him when he finally did something good), and just people they didn’t even know because maybe he heard things about them from diana or csm or kritschgau.

doggett & reyes coming in sooner not because mulder is abducted but maybe because of a case. doggett actually asking for mulder’s help on his son’s case. maybe give them history with skinner and even though doggett is a skeptic, he’s got military connections like skinner. AND ffs give scully naval contacts you cowards.

the lone gunmen & melissa should have had a couple friends in common — not that melissa has any connection in any way (good or bad) to the conspiracies, but to bring in different kinds of people (aka civilians) or actually, maybe she had friends who were abducted and that’s why she tried to get dana to do regression hypnosis, because it helped her friends & knowledge is power.

anyway. this just randomly pops in my head and it so deeply bothers me how the conspiracy grew & grew but it was always just mulder & scully. idk do with this what you will

i've always wanted diana fowley's backstory because literally. the syndicate seems to be full of rich men and how did they come to choose this woman? part of me feels like she would have been chosen for something specific, like scully was, and then she surpassed expectations and she bought into their agenda. (whereas scully did the opposite of what they ~supposedly~ wanted)

and even marita?? she seemed to hate them from the first time we meet her. how much did she know? how did she climb high enough? and then when they learn of her betrayal, she's turned into a test subject (like scully but more extensively, and like spender too)
