Choosing Maya and Krieg for this prompt due to the latest wonderful DLC. My OTP lives!....... kinda

we really did lose a lot with gearbox deciding to cut mayas funeral scene. Even though i don’t think it would have stopped the worst of the gamer bros from hating on ava for virtually no reason a lot of her character development takes place during that scene i think. Her transition from being an awkward reckless teenager to having to mature to take on a role bigger than she is just becomes incredibly unbalanced with no inbetween scenes

it also frustrates me how little dialogue there is from the other vault hunters about mayas death. all of their reactions take place in the short cutscene after her death (and i suppose the rest would have been in that cutscene) with some small bits of extra dialogue here and there but it’s nothing really…significant? It’s all super brushed past. honestly i would have loved to just have a little more dialogue from the bl2 vault hunters. even like echo logs or something. i know everyone but zer0 and maya only show up in dlcs (Which is a whole other thing i dislike on it’s own. but i’m not gonna get into it) but like…we couldve had it all
