RD -

Olivia and Tim skated in an early group and looked good - they look more comfortable in the RD than the FD - their highest base value this season with all level 3 steps. good for him ☺️ Kaitlin and Jean-Luc, KMT and Trennt in his Leafs jersey came to watch them - stayed for a bit but were mostly on their phones except for O/T

Luca Lanotte tried to loud clap to get the audience going for his team - i really wish coaches wouldn't do that - let the skating speak for itself. it feels like a lack of confidence in them or the coach inserting themselves into the situation. clapping for an element done well is one thing, but clapping into the silence is distracting more than anything

Koko have improved- they're skating bigger, too. you sometimes hear people say teams don't improve past a certain point, but it's not true. i never noticed their Ghostbusters costumes are distressed with green goo lol

36 teams, and only one with a deduction - 24 teams with all positive GOE. they work so hard and so many did really well. Bratti/Somerville were looking good and then 😢 slowed down it looks like he might have hit the back of her boot and then toe picked? i felt so bad for them. interesting that the judges from Spain and Slovakia gave them PCS like the fall didn't happen, while Poland gave them 6.75 in SS and along with a few other judges dropped them hard

i loved seeing the Czech teams live - they are very fast, the Taschlers especially cover ice, and i'd love to know how their technique is different from what IAM/O do. the Taschlers 💔 - it looks like she has a split second to look down and put her blade on his boot, and somehow she didn't get a foothold and slipped. maybe it was safer for it not to go up than for her to fall off mid-lift, but 😭

Hannah and Ye were great- they've grown a lot since August. they got their levels - only Piper/Paul, Olivia/Tim and CPom had higher BV - they tied with R/A and the Ukrainian team, Holubtsova/Bielebrov - i would have had them above the Mrazeks. hopefully their GOE and PCS will start to rise after this competition, because they were impressive-- first year seniors and 14th!

R/A's guns n roses live is high energy, big - kept seeing her sister around and having to look twice if it was Allison

CPom - they did SO well - i had been thinking this whole time her new dress is green - i think the yellow notes in the beige material made me see green instead of blue - i did wonder at one point why the accent color on Anthony's didn't match - it's probably just me who didn't put this together lol their skating just feels substantial, and they have beautiful unison and unity as a team

and LaLa are so rhythmic and sharp in this program - they can flow and hit the accents at the same time, which not many teams do. they're hearing the tempo. they can skate so specifically to the beat. you can see the music in their movement, which is the best - i love them so much. i think it's partly that, plus the flow and someone mentioned their speed of rotation that makes them look so fast on a screen. live, they are fast, but not quite as much as it looks on a stream

Madi Chock uses her arms and hands very very skillfully and beautifully. i still get taken out sometimes by how her speed increases and edges are deeper when he's pulling or pushing her vs when she's moving on her own. but they have great timing with each other. was it 90+? idk 😬

G/F i could rave about their skating skills some more lol

after hearing Carol Lane talk about how she intentionally choreographs "hits" - unusual movements or accents that are supposed to grab the audience - in this case those little hops G/P do - into the programs, it started to feel slightly contrived and the vertical motions a way to distract from how Piper's carriage isn't the best. i still like it, even the belly flops, but maybe a little less than i did?

another thing that kills me abt the conversation team awesome had after ro had made the decision to leave s4 behind was how at the start of the convo, it was all three of them talking face to face w mapicc, ro, and zam all stood together but as things progressed— the gap between ro and mapicc & zam became so large that there is both a metaphorical and literal chasm between them as they are saying their final pieces, and ro is saying her goodbyes. things ended w ro looking upon mapicc and zam amidst the chaos of their own creation and turning away from it all (turning away from them) and w them watching her go from a distance.

and like. tbh. idk if ro has said otherwise so ill take it back if she has but i just dont,,, have a reason to believe that she would have ever Not left, yk? even if she didnt have her own plans, if she Had wanted to join the team genuinely, if she wasnt massively distrusted— i dont think s4 ro ever wouldve ever been happy to destroy a world she had spent the entire season trying to preserve. even if it was w mapicc and zam, for as much as she loved them, she hated their destructiveness until the very end

i think After this ro definitely changed— if her helping end the server in s5 is indicative of anything, but like even during s5 itself she didnt LIKE the destructiveness. she never once turned her back on mapicc no matter what he said or did until he gave her a real reason to by (and the other abyss people) starting to destroy the server once again, and killing ro nd the one teammate of hers on lalas that she Actually cared abt

like even when she joined the players and agreed to help destroy things, the destruction was pitched to her by zam and mapicc as going back to what once was w the destruction just being a means to get there bc ro herself isnt someone who enjoys destruction for the sake of destruction— she'll fw almost Anything as long as it has meaning she can understand, and they made sure to give her smt she'd understand bc they know this abt her

which like . :')))) i cannot emphasize enough how much it Kills me that when given a choice on who they could end the world w, ro was the one zam & mapicc chose. they chose her and refused to go back on either killing everyone else or dying together in their efforts no matter how difficult and shitty things got. devotions were able to trust ro and had the choice to keep her by their side this time around, and ro was finally able to accept the inevitability of change and valued the sense of belonging she feels w her friends over the server, her own morals, and just,, everything bc none of it has any meaning if she isnt w the people who give things meaning to her

sorry i feel like this doesnt rly make sense but i wanted to yap abt team awesome bc they actually mean so very much to me. their relationship was permanently changed bc of s4 and now all 3 of them have this weird bond/attachment that transcends seasons & teams

You can just see Charles' brain running a hundred miles an hour seeing their size difference and how fucking dainty he feels in Carlos' hands I mean at this point the fic writes itself. That hand is not only on top of his thigh its reaching in, ready to part his legs manually because Charles was made to be manhandled, he's like a little doll, a fucktoy, a pocket pussy of course he needs to be moved however Carlos wants him-

"You're good there, cariño?" Carlos' chuckle breaks him out of his stupor and he blinks up, breathing deep and eyelashes fluttering like he has just been submerged under water.

"Hm? Ah, y-yeah, yeah, I'm good, completely." He clears his throat, trying to get rid of the embarrassing squeaky quality to it that comes from fantasizing a bit too much, hoping Carlos wouldn't catch on to his dirty thoughts but behind his sweet Labrador smile Charles can make out something... dark. Knowing. Almost as if he personally sprinkled perversion onto his brain like fairy dust.

"Good, aren't you? Good. You are a good boy." One could use the language barrier as an excuse for either of them phrasing things in a silly or even embarrassing manner in English, God knows they both have done so a million times, but the way Carlos' voice dipped low in almost a purr would make anyone halt and gulp. Charles certainly did.

If Carlos' voice and darkened gaze didn't, the squeeze to his thigh certainly made him be on high alert and question the innocence of the situation. It's not like Carlos never touched him before; he was quite touchy on average, always holding Charles by his waist or hips or curling one of those large hands around his nape or bicep or wrist.

Of course it made Charles flustered, he's been wondering what Carlos' dick down his throat would feel like since day 1 but Carlos couldn't have known about the effect he had on him, right? Charles wasn't that obvious. Right?

The large tan hand on his thigh slipped more inwards almost seamlessly as the car took a turn and if Charles thought Carlos would rectify his mistake, he was certainly in for a treat because Carlos instead used his grip to pull him closer, dragging him over as if Charles weighed nothing.

"Why so tense, cariño? I thought you were good? C'mon, baby, relax." Carlos pulled his entire leg over his own, spreading Charles' thighs wide and he had to carefully hide his crotch with his hands to not put the obvious source of his tension on display. Carlos was holding the leg in his lap with both hands now, massaging the inside of his thigh with one, the other stroking his knee as if he was some pet. "Nervous, are you? It's okay, baby, it's been a stressful season. I can help you let loose when we're back in the hotel, hm? Sounds good?"

Oh good God. Charles was not going to survive the journey with a sane mind, and Carlos definitely knew.

Now I know what Akechi's mask is supposed to be, but I gotta be honest, the first thing I thought of when I saw him was a hummingbird...

Like I guess it made sense to me? Hummingbirds are known for their vibrant and bright feathers, which worked with how bright Princekechi's uniform is compared with everyone else's. Hummingbirds are probably one of the most universally beloved species too (I dare you to find someone who hates hummingbirds. You can't.), so again, that fits with how popular and adored by the public his personal image is. Plus, you know, hummingbirds subsist on sweet nectar and sugar. Sweets.
