Did I tell y’all that my class did a “superlatives” thing? Like I never had that in high school or college or anything. But sga sent a google form out n asked people to vote stuff for other classmates.

And I was like ok another popularity contest. And I briefly worried that I would be nominated as greasiest, ugliest, weirdest, worst fashion/style, etc.

But they ended up doing one for everybody which whatever. And none of them were hateful so that’s something.

Mine was “most mysterious.” Like ofc I don’t care but I was like just say you don’t know me and let me go home. Its just a less rude way to call me the weirdest.

Other peoples had cute drawings on theirs and what not. I got scribbles and “the payback on yt” and I really don’t think it’s the James brown song. There’s a channel by that name but it is odd and has very few subs. And I srsly cant think of anything I’ve done to any of my classmates like I’ve never been mean to them or done smthn sneaky or literally anything. So I didn’t think that’s what they meant by payback. Also there was a picture of sunglasses and the yt channel uses those same glasses. I haven’t watched the vids but they look odd and maybe true crime which I don’t even like so I really don’t know. Insight welcome.

But anyway I would have preferred to have not gotten anything at all frankly. They didn’t have to include everybody. Just let it be the popularity contest it’s supposed to be. At least I didn’t overtly get called out and ik I’m the only person who remembers it.

Like I know I’m weird and off-putting and awkward in social situations but I mean… whatever idk what I expected

What’s weird is that I know at least two people who put me in for “best music taste” which was super sweet and that’s what I gotta focus on is the people who DO care to know me. But like if two people said that, why did you just… not use that? And instead actually think and work to come up with something to deliberately jab me. And the YouTube channel like idgi.

Kevin got most likely to answer every question correctly and idk why everyone loves him even tho he’s just as awkward as I am. Anyone I’ve talked to abt it says it’s bc he’s a guy. Like literally my therapist was like the hades gif “he’s a GUY!”

Mackenzie got “most likely to work in the ER” which, she hates the ER. But that is what she did for hours and I guess that’s the only thing ppl know abt her. I def think the two of us are on the bottom of the totem pole, but it doesn’t matter really cause it’s no big deal in the grand scheme, and this year I won’t be seeing anyone anyways. Plus there’s not as clearly defined social strata like high school.

Lowkey Mackenzie was trying to get in on my pity party about how no one cares about her either. And on one hand true igi but the other I was like,,, at least they knew SOMETHING about you to say… so let me have this lol.

So it’s whatever idc but I’m afraid that when I finish this rotation and any of my classmates get assigned to the office I’m at now… technically we’re not supposed to talk about each other in the clinical setting but. I have a feeling that one nurse in particular would talk to this theoretical classmate of mine and whoever it is will dump on me or whatever.

And I don’t dislike the nurse he’s just a kid so whatever but he’s also super smart in the same way kevin is. But even the other nurses or the other providers or anything! I KNOW I’ll never hear from them again but I’m scared that they’ll all talk about how weird I am. Or, to a slightly lesser degree, they’ll like my classmate a lot more than they like me and think they’re smarter than me and better w patients and not such a little crybaby. I really try to be nice at word and all that but I literally can’t help being weird like I’ve tried to be normal, but it’s so stressful bc I’m afraid people will see through it.

And I know: so what if people you’ll never see again think you’re weird? What’s the worst that could happen/whats it to you? And idk how to answer that because short of failing the rotation, that feels like the worst thing that could happen. Like if there was something I could actively do to prevent that I would. But like I said when I try, I get extremely stressed and frustrated and overwhelmed and depressed. Idk ig if the yt thing makes any sense to you, lmk.

A question abt the cult thing- will Izuku grow up in the town with the cult? Or will he like?? Go on a field trip with 1-A and end up in a town with a cult that somehow involves him?? And the buses "coincidentally" don't work which leaves him and his class + Aizawa trapped in a town that seems to glorify smthn abt Izuku? (His prior time as a Quirkless kid, maybe??)

As neato as the first option is (and will be placed into the folder of Ideas), this AU features Izuku growing up outside of the cult. It’s pre canon actually, taking place in the mid-year holidays of his 2nd year of middle school, so he’ll be just about 14 I think. 

Inko, in an attempt to get him away from some of the bullying and hopefully outside doing something less dangerous than chasing heroes, firmly suggests he visit some of Hisashi’s family in a small and currently nameless rural japanese village. In this AU Izuku also has a youtube channel he typically uploads hero and villain breakdowns and fight reviews, but for something fun to do he decides to vlog the happenings, something which quickly turns into a series investigating the cult that seems to run the town.

The finer details are still being worked out but he ends up not being able to go home for Reasons, and is eventually joined by Hitoshi and Katsuki and they investigate.

After they graduate high school and get into university, Harry, Peter, and MJ move into an apartment together

Harry wants to get away from his Dad’s controlling nature, and Peter and MJ are broke freelance journalists

Peter and MJ insist on paying equal parts of the rent even though Harry can more than afford it himself

In ‘retaliation’, Harry quietly does groceries every chance he gets and refuses to accept money from either of them

A la the video game, Harry is deep into R&D for Oscorp; his research stations are in the process of being setup and funded, and his uni program counts his work there as a co-op/internship or smthn

(idk I’m Canadian, idk how US co-ops work)

Peter continues his Spiderman gig, as well as selling selfies of himself to the Daily Bugle, but he’s also going to school for biophysics (also a la the video game)

MJ writes for the Daily Bugle, putting the photos Peter sells to good use with amazing articles that have insider details that are simply amazing (three guesses as to where she gets those from)

She also runs a Youtube channel on the side but more on that later

MJ knows Peter is Spidey. Harry doesn’t

One day though, Norman decides that Harry isn’t living up to his full potential living in this squalid apartment with his two childhood best friends, happier than he’s ever been. So he threatens to pull funding from his research stations and, idk, have their apartment building foreclosed if he doesn’t move back home

You know what, that’s a theme. Every so often, Norman has another madcap scheme in place to get Harry to come back home

But anyway, this gets Harry SO upset that he decides to do something about it

Which is where Green Goblin comes in

Harry ‘borrows’ some tech from the Oscorp labs he has access to, or maybe he just rebuilds it from scratch, and starts terrorizing some of the less reputable Oscorp holdings - illegal testing labs, inhumane studies, etc

The police aren’t called because they’re SO below board, but obviously, Spidey has to intervene

Spidey and Goblin are getting into huge fights every other week, Goblin trying to sabotage Oscorp shit and Spidey trying to protect it

Not because he WANTS Oscorp to continue making money off of them, but because he knows that a) it’s the right thing to do, b) people could get hurt if anything goes wrong, and c) even if they’re illegal, the research they’re doing DOES help people

On a completely unrelated note, sometime after these fights Peter and Harry can be found in their living room, patching each other up and just generally complaining to each other

Peter: “harry you need to be more careful in the lab, this piece of shrapnel almost took your eye out.”

Harry: “youre one to talk, if that mugger had got his knife any closer to your arm you’d need stitches.”

MJ is the one in stitches. She’s entirely aware of both their identities and finds it hilarious

Peter knows that MJ knows he’s Spidey, but he doesn’t know Harry is Goblin and he doesn’t know that she knows either

Harry doesn’t know she knows he’s Goblin until she walks in on him changing out of his Goblin costume one night, beat-up and bruised

She has to Very Quickly act surprised

It’s not very convincing

Luckily, Harry is too busy freaking out to notice

He swears her to secrecy, especially from Peter

“He’d be so worried if he knew. I couldn’t do that to him, he already worries about me so much in the lab.”

MJ nods furiously, bc nothing and no one is gonna spoil her soap opera a.k.a their banter

On days where they’re not complaining about each other’s injuries, they’re getting into passive-aggressive fights about Spidey and Goblin’s methodology

Peter: “Goblin is totally out of control. He just flies into Oscorp setups and starts BOMBING the place! People could get hurt!”

Harry: “Uh, obviously you haven’t noticed how he always remotely triggers the fire alarms so there’s nobody inside. And what about Spiderman?! The way he throws debris around CAN’T be safe.”

Peter: “He only throws it at Goblin, when he’s about to vent dangerous chemicals into the surrounding air!”

Harry: “...” *makes mental note to also trigger the air scrubbers*
