2025 Interest Check

And so we meet once again! We come with wonderful news - we will be returning this spring! Or rather, we are hoping to return. We would like to hear your thoughts on some of the changes we are planning to implement, so we can start on setting up as soon as possible.

Lizzie knows her husband well—that ridiculous man—and he still manages to surprise her. Like when he takes her on a tour of his Hermitcraft base and shows off all that he's built, the grand scale to the little details, so much care and love is evident. A little less surprising is the way Etho trails after them—and the way Joel lets him.

Those two might be fine to keep going in circles—but Lizzie isn't. She wants to know what they're like, to see it up close instead of hearing stories. And she has some time before her next project starts…

When summer comes to an end...

“Does it hurt?” asks Pearls, gently touching the tips of Gem’s antlers. The velvet covering them looks dry and patchy.

“Not really.  By the fall it’s mostly dead. And very itchy.”

Pearl rubs her finger along the antler and a small piece of the velvet comes off, revealing the bloody naked bone underneath.

“Oh, that feels nice,” exhales Gem. “Listen, I know it might look unpleasant, but could you…  scratch them some more?"

Her ears twitch nervously and her cheeks turn bright pink. It’s adorable.

“Darling, you are lovely; bloody antlers won’t change this. Relax. I’ll take care of this.”

Tommy and Ranboo were sitting in Tommy’s house, relaxing. 

“Tommy, come on– you’re taking up the entire sofa!” Ranboo said, kicking one of Tommy’s legs, which were on Ranboo’s lap. 

“Fuck you, I do what I want!” said Tommy, swinging his legs onto Ranboo. 

Ranboo sighed. “Oh. This is happening now.” 

Tommy laid on Ranboo whilst they chatted about their lives, reminiscing on their past, and their future. 

“You know, Ranboo, you’re a good’ne. Even though you married Tubbo…you’re still one of the only people on this godforsaken server that I can trust.” 

“Thank you, Tommy,” Ranboo smiled. “You too.”

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, this is my gift for @kerrosin for the @mcyt-drabble-exchange , loved the prompts and hope you enjoy!

1: Mario Kart

Cleo is lying head in Scott’s lap when he says: “Don’t you dare” And she says: “Sucks to suck” 

Scott, who is most likely incredibly done with the whole situation at this point, closes his eyes in a vain attempt to beg god for help, and grimaces as the blue shell hits his kart. 

“Oof, that’s rough buddy”

Cleo mutters as her own character passes him, snagging a few coins in the process. 

“Three times in one game? I’m flattered how you always think of me Cleo, really.” 

“Quiet down, will you? Some of us got a race to win.” 

2: Date night

Ren is fiddling with the collar and his teeth are- pointed and his claws are- sharp and his suit is- ripped, a little at the bottom. 

“Hey!”

Doc shouts from the couch, smiling softly. 

“It’ll be fine man, c’mon.” 

Ren looks at him- clench- unclenches his claws. 

“Sure dude. Sure” 

“You’re a weirdo”

Mumbles Doc, turning back to his book. 

“I doubt Martyn knows the difference between a good date and a bad one anyways, when’s the last time he left his house again? The eighteen-hundreds?” 

Ren scoffs, adjusts the tux once more, and begs his swaying tail to still.

2025 Edition Announcement

After a long discussion, it has been decided that at this point in time the mod team is not able to run the event while keeping it to the standard we would like to uphold. We apologize for getting everyone's hopes up, but as of now the 2025 iteration is called off.

Maybe sometime in the future we’ll pick it back up- but for now if you’d like to write more short form fanfics, we encourage you to check out @mcytdrabblefest here on Tumblr!

Don't tell Grian, but Jimmy's favorite part of the day is when a certain customer sweeps into their cafe. He never shows up at the same time but always in the same way: disheveled, squinting against the sunlight, redstone smudged into his clothes, heavy gloves tucked into his back pocket.

Tango stares up at the menu. Jimmy desperately tries not to seem nervous. He fails miserably, wings smacking into Grian despite his attempts to settle them against his back.

Tango steps up to the register and grins up at Jimmy, all sharp teeth and candlelight hair, and says, “Hi Rancher,”

The pirate stops in front of Ren. A second passes, then another. He looks up at his captor. The first thing he notices is the familiar blue eyes. The second is a small seashell on a gold chain, a token he'd given to the young lad he used to kiss on the hidden beaches of the Black Isles fifteen years ago. 

It’s all coming back to him - their shared nights under the stars, their endless conversations, his father's disapproval… The shock on Martyn's face leaves no doubt that he remembers too.

“There’s no king among them!” Martyn declares, turning away.

Dream’s gaze turns away from the sky to Punz, “What?”

“Ariel. You have the long red hair—now you actually look like a Disney princess.” Punz explains, trying to soothe the pit in his stomach from the scars and blood tinged hair.

A smile stretches across Dream’s face as he pats the chirping dolphin next to him, rubbing its nose against his hand.

“See they agree.” Punz adds, watching as the world seems to embrace Dream, the sun kissing his skin, the water hugging his fin, the sea creatures surrounding him with affection.

They missed him.
